Thank you for the dolies I loved them. Did you have a great christmas? How are you feeling?

As for me we had a stomach virus all last week. Yesterday was the first day that I felt back to normal again. We had a great christmas. Poor Megan waited for her brother Ben to get here for christmas morning at 11am to open presents with him and by the time he got here he was christmased out and wouldn't open anything. But she did great. Thank you all for the gifts for the kids they loved them. It was a happy christmas in my house this year and I am thankful for that and for all my friends here on the boards. You mean the world to me. You are my support.
Hey I went to my christmas party for work thursday night and my boss got me a car starter. He said he didn't give me a bonus because he knows I have a heart of gold and wouldn't spend it on me so he made sure I spent it on me this year and got me that. It was what I really wanted. I couldn't believe it.
Well gotta go. The roads are probably slippery this morning from the snow out there. So have to leave early so I am not late for work.

My new years resolution is this: I got megan a responsibility chart for christmas for both of us to use. She loves it. We are going to get back to routine in this house, I am going to take time with the kids this coming year and sit and enjoy them, I am going to slow time down as much as possible and try and enjoy each day instead of being rushed through it and I am going to meet my weightloss goal this year. This year is about me and spending quality time with my kids. Living each day instead of the days just passing by.

Happy Birthday Christie!

I have a question concerning birthdays and such. How do you know someone is having a birthday? Is there a special calendar somewhere on the board or the website that I'm missing?

Penny: How are you doing? Fill me in on what you have been up to. How are you doing with your goals?

Sherri: I hope you are over the virus thing and feeling better. I love your new goals for the new year! That car starter is a very cool thing. I think I would like one. I hate going out and getting into a cold car; it would be so nice to start it from the warmth of the house or the office.

LbsBgone: Are you finished with the book you are reading yet? I've not read that book, but I hear that it has some great information in it and a lot of the ladies in my TOPS group refer to it often.

I worked with my boss all day today and it went well. I did make a couple of mistakes, but that's ok. I learn by them. I asked him to let me do things by myself with no one around so I could try and figure the process out on my own and from my notes. The 2 mistakes I made were very minor.

You know I was thinking about fear today. Here I spent time off and on the past couple of days being afraid of spending the entire day with my boss. Once I just resigned myself to the fact that I could make the most out of it, then I actually enjoyed myself. What a waste of time to fear, what might happen! I learned something today girls. I always knew that I shouldn't worry over things that might happen, but today I found out myself how to deal with it.

Have a great evening. I'm planning on getting a quick shower (just got back from a workout) and look through a magazine that I got in the mail. I'm trying to learn how to relax. Sherry: I'll be asking you a lot about learning to slow down and enjoy things; it's something that is important to be to learn how to do.

It sounds like you had a good day w/ your boss. We all have human error and you are right by saying we can only learn from them

As far as birthdays, I use birthdayalarm.com and email everyone on my list and they fill in there bdays and it emails me a couple days before.

But there is a calendar on the main page of the forum.... At the very bottom, it will list bdays for the day by screen name
