Wink

Well, I haven't been too talkative this week but I have been lurking.

Eleni - you will get used to your hours soon and adapt. I hope you are enjoying the new job.

Sherri - I hope the storm isn't too bad there. We are supposd to get mostly rain so that shouldn't be that bad. It sounds like you are enjoying yourself these days so that is nice.

As for me all hasn't been good lately. I have just been struggling with everything from food to exercise to plain old everyday stuff. I have sat down though and tried to make a list of some of my goals and what I have to do to reach them and what is causing me to NOT get them right now. I feel a lot better after doing that. I gained this week. Only a little but it is discouraging when it happens and I walked most of th week too. But, I know it'll start coming off soon and I just have to be patient - but patience is not my longsuit.

I get installed as leader next wednesday so I am looking forward to that as well as having my whole tops group behind me each week. It is nice to know that they are there whenever I need them. I guess I vented long enough. Thanks for listening and I hope I didn't sound too bad b/c I am really not that bad. I just wanted to let every one know that I am still here!!!!

Have a good day ladies !!! ( I know I will)

Default daily

Well good morning all. All is ok. Hands same, so make it brief. Didn't sleep well last night. Hands, and the monthly blas. I'm also taking my time on the tax thing. Usually done by now, no interest. This all must be the weather and wanting to get out more because of the spring weather. Exercise has been little this week, but I'm keeping on the food portion. Husband is going to Red Wings game tonight (I want to go). On the goal thing, I've been doing some information finding and I already knew some of it, too reward yourself. I find it very difficult to reward my self. Everybody needs something but me.
And when I want something, it's usually food, not anything inparticular. Sometimes a new book, ect but I'm so far behind on the reading thing. Well anyway I'm babbling (I do that from time to time).
Take care everyone

Donna,

Congratulations on the loss that is great. Too bad to hear about your blood pressure though. Please take it easy until that goes down. It is more important for you to be healthy then to kill yourself exercising right now. Take care of you and don't worry about the exercise right now. If you are making good food choices then you will still come in with a loss next week. Keep up the great work. Eat on the low end of your pts. Maybe you could cut out some of your carbs this week. I find that if If I eat 6 pts in carbs a day (which is carbs for each meal) then I lose the most weight. It really helps especially if you are not exercising. You would be surprised the weight you lose without exercising by cutting back on the carbs. I love carbs so that was a hard one for me. But I am doing well with that now.

Alannah,

I am glad that you have sat down and thought about your plan. It sounds like that is just what the doctor ordered. I hope you are doing better today. If you are happy on the inside with you and it shows on the outside then you will be fine on your plan. It is when we are not happy with ourselves on the inside that we take a fall off our plan.
You know some of the problem might be the stress you feel about taking over as leader. I wouldn't worry about that. You have a lot of people here to help you plus the people in your group. I think you will make a great leader. Did you finally get the program book to look through? Remember you don't have to plan for the whole year in 2 weeks time. Take it one week or one month at a time. Then you won't get so overwhelmed with it all. You will do a great job. Thanks for letting us know that you have been struggling. Now we can encourage you to help you feel better about yourself so you can get back on track.

You will have a loss next week. Just believe in yourself and make wise food choices and you will do fine. You have what it takes to do this. You will reach your kops status along with all of us. Just stick with us girl. Keep up the great work.

Have a great day!

Hi Wrbedell,

You need to get some sleep LOL. I think that the weather has a lot to do with our moods also. If it is dreary outside then we are blah to. It is much better when the sun is out and shining bright. I always have more energy then.
I have trouble rewarding myself also. I usually like to reward myself with food. I really need to change that. But there isn't really anything that I can say that I would like other than food.LOL So I have to change that in my life also. But I never know where to start. It is a hard one.
That is why I don't reward my daughter with food. I don't want her to grow up and have my problem with food. I want her to turn to other things besides food to comfort her. All I can do is my best in hopes that she won't have to struggle with a food issue in her adult life like I am doing.

I think that I have exercised too much this week. My scale hasn't moved at all. I don't think I am going to have a loss tonight. But we will see. I have been doing great all week. But I think that if I had exercised less it would have been better. I did get weighed in at the doctors yesterday and I only lost 1 lb for 3 weeks and I have been back on plan for 2 weeks. So that isn't good. That tells me that I probably won't have a loss tonight. I am going to try real hard to only exercise once a day this coming week instead of twice and that I will only exercise 3-4 times this coming week. I know when I exercised less and ate low carbs I had a great loss of 3 1/4 lbs. So that is what I would like to see again. But I will be happy with any loss this week. Seeing that I have really worked hard all week. I didn't exercise yesterday because I didn't have time but I did exercise the rest of the week 2 x's a day and one day it was twice plus I went for walk twice this week to. So I have really gotten in a lot of exercise. Someone online here just told me that at their ww meeting they went to the leader said that when you exercise your muscles hold water. So maybe that is why I am not losing. I will cut back this coming week and see what happens. I can't exercise today because I got my shots again yesterday and I got them in my thighs again this time and it hurts to walk. They are still swollen on the left side and I can't even touch it because it hurts so badly. So hopfully by tomorrow the pain will be gone. Last time it lasted for a couple of days then it was gone. Until 3 weeks later when I get them again.LOL

Have a great day everyone. We are only getting rain here now. It is supposed to turn to snow later this afternoon. So we will see what happens.

Good Morning everyone,

Sorry I have been absent so much but I am reading everyday. I am hoping to be posting more regular in another few weeks.
Welcome to the new people. It is great to have you here. I have been posting since November but the last few weeks I haven't been around much.
Marilyn.......you and I are close in weight. I will be 41 in October and I want to be close to my goal by then. Don't give up. Sometimes it seems like a long way but I keep thinking if I keep giving up.......it will be even longer because I will have setbacks. I joined TOPS last November too and I have found so much support from my chapter and from my friends here.
I went to weigh in last night but didn't stay for the meeting. I was down 3 pounds and am basically 50% of my way to goal from my high weight at TOPS. I am more than half way from my highest but for TOPS I am halfway there. My goal feels attainable now.
We are having some snow today. We haven't had a lot but it is slippery out and because our winter has been so nice......everyone has forgotten how to drive in snow.
Sorry I can't reply to everyone but I hope everyone has a great day and I will try and write more soon.

Marie
