Good morning all, The weekend flew by as usual.
This week is elections. Some of you will be re-elected,some will start a new position,and some of you that want to be in a position won't be able to.
I just want to say to those that want to and don't get elected. Try not to be too disappointed. You can still be an asset and help your chapter. It takes a lot of people to make a good chapter.
To those of you that do get elected.Don't forget the young members who wanted a position and let them help. It will only strengthen your chapter.
And to those chapters that put the whole burden on a few. Get off your butts and help.
Other that that I hope you all had a goodweekend. And this coming week is kind to you.
Time for me to go to work
I would like to hold an office, but i'm willing to help out no matter what. I'm leaving this to the guy upstairs. He knows me, and the chapter, and I want what's best for all. Good luck to all, and take it one step at a time.
I'm back on line now. We had XP put on the computer and haven't gotten all our programs back on it yet. It takes us a while to get everything back to where it was and I'm not sure I like this XP at all. My son says that when I learn how to use it that I'll love it. He forgets that he has a masters in computers and I don't know anything about them except for the few programs that I use.
I had another turtle Friday at weigh-in. I am still keeping to my calorie limit, but the weight just isn't coming off. Hopefully, I will start losing again soon.
I learned Saturday that my brother-in-law in Virginia was missing. He has the beginning of alheimers(I know that isn't spelled right) and was missing. I'm not sure that they have found him yet. I heard last night that they may have found him in a wooded area nearby and they had helicopters out looking. I waited a while and tried to call, but couldn't get them. I hope that it was him that they found and that he is okay. He had been gone for 2 days.
Yeah, it is time for elections again. I have been asked to run for leader again and agreed to be nominated. We need a new co-leader and our secretary has had her position for 4 years and would like someone else to take it, but said she would stay if no one else would take it. We'll see Friday how it will turn out.
Got to go and get ready for my walk.

You are so right about the elections. You can never tell what way it will work out. But if everyone works together as a group like they should then it doesn't matter who is in the positions and everyone can help out. I know it doesn't always work that way and it is sad.

Congratulations on the turtle. I know how you feel. I have been doing everything right myself and the scale is not moving either. It is frustrating but I am not going to give up and you aren't either. We are going to beat this and as long as we hang in there the scale is bound to move eventually. Keep up the great work.
How was your walk this morning? Warm I am sure.
With the windchill factor here it is 20 below zero. I about froze to death pumping gas this morning. My legs hurt so bad from the cold.
Everything here is going well. The boss is away for a couple of days so I am taking advantage and posting while I can.LOL I miss posting here. It is just that at night when I sit down I fall asleep I can't stay awake past 8:30pm now. At least it doesn't allow time to eat at night that is the advantage.LOL
I had a slumber party for megan and her friends on saturday. 3 girls came over and 2 stayed all night. They had a great time. She was really missing her old friends from her other school. So I told her she could invite them over. It was a last min thing. 2 of the kids couldn't make it. But that was okay because I didn't give them much notice so we were lucky to get 3. It was enough. I thought I could just hang out on the computer while they played. WRONG.LOL Oh well she really needed it and she felt better.
I am going to go get some work done now. Have a great day everyone.

It is -35C with the windchill here. There is a cold advisory in effect. If this weather doesn't let up soon, I don't know what will happen. I'll take the 100F in the summer over this.
I blew the eating this weekend. Had too much to do. Got some spring cleaning done and spent time with the kids. The ice maker on our fridge decided to act up during dinner yesterday and it took a few hours to get it sorted. Too much emotional eating this weekend.
I don't think I'll make weigh-in tomorrow since it is pancake Tuesday and I told the kids that we would do it. My meeting is at 6:30 so I don't normally eat with them on Tues. But they are excited about it , so...
Not too much else new. Will start exercising again, since my neck is better.
I'm really worried about my brother-in-law, now. That was NOT him last night when they had the helicopters out looking. This is the 3rd day that he has been missing and my sister is losing hope and beginning to fear the worst.
Thanks Sherri, for the encouragement. I'm not giving up on the weight because I know that it will eventually come off.
The walk was okay this morning. The temperature is in the low 60's and overcast and rainy. We got our 2 miles in between the times it was raining. It's just a drizzle rain.

Nina, I hope they find your BIL. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Glad you got out for your walk. You have a lot going on right now mentally. Take care of yourself.
Sherri, it's nice that you had the sleep over for Megan. Took some of the pressure off you having to entertain her. She had her friends. I know you had the job of supervising....but at least she had her peers to hang out with. You're brave to do so many though. I probably would have had only one or two. Hang in there, as long as the scale isn't going up, you're doing fine.
Wendy, hope you have a good weigh-in and hope you get an office....but if you don't, what Eleni said is so true!!!
Linlin, You'll get the eating straightened out. We all have the emotional/stressful eating at times. Hang in and have fun with the pancakes. [yum]

Linlin-i'm glad it's not that cold here. Cold enough, but i guess we learn to do with what we have. Cold or hot. Spring where are you? Glad your neck is better.

As for me, well we have a leader in Leslie, Michigan. Me. I am glad. I'm looking for suggestions, comments, and as many prayers that you all are willing to give for me, and our chapter throughout the remaining year, and next. I'm not looking to change anyone, I'm looking to help. I hope I can.
