I'm starting Thursday early
Let me tell you about the seminar. It just seems that God is so much reinforcing what i've been learning lately. It was on self discipline/ emotion. How fitting for one to that is working on changing her self from with in. He talked about our conscience and our sub conscience (sp). We will call the subconscience the horse/ and the conscience the rider. He talked how all the things we do in our life is normally a subconscience thing do to learned behavior, and how we reacted to things is a learned behavior, and come automatically. If we want our emotions, and our self to change we must feed it new information till it becomes a learned behavior. Example. We will use a person wanting to lose weight. They know it is good for them, and they know they need to make changes, however the horse, already has in his mind how to handle certain things, (protective meckonsim). This man has actually lost 90. after he started teaching the course, cuz he was getting dizzy, and couldn't breath. He asked his doctor for the facts what's wrong, make it plain and simple. The doctor told him he was fat. So he the rider knew he had to make some changes, do some learning and growing to change the horse, this brings us to this: One day after dinner, he has eaten plenty, not hungry, well satisfied. Ready to relax for the evening. He has his water with him and heads off to watch tv. While watching tv, the commercials start coming on, Burger KIng, Wendy's, cake candy, cookies, chips food. The horse starts talking to the rider, aren't you hungry. Rider no, i'm satisfied. I have my water, they talk back and forth, just like we do with ourselves, till it gets to the point that the horse realizes that there is no more water. Subconsciencely knowing that a trip to the kitchen will fix it. So he goes. And what do 95% of us do, while we are in the kitchen, open the refrig. Thus openning opportunity for the horse to talk again, you deserve a bit of that, you've been good. Just one bite won't hurt. The battle continues. He takes a bite. Horse you can start back on your diet tomorrow. Thus tomorrow may never come. Live today to the fullest that you possibly can, learning, changing and growing to the best that you can. Cuz learning promotes change. another example, you children. they learn what we teach them, if we don't want them to behavior that way, we have to change what we teach them. If you don't like a behavior of what you are doing change it. Also, people don't make you feel a certain way, they may say something that may cause you to react in a way, if you say they made you mad then you have given them control of your emotions and you are now out of control. To take it back think about the problem, and then react, instead of reacting first. To totally change a behavior it takes about 30 days of consistancy. The other thing we learned is to realize that everything in you life is an event. should it or should it not have happend is really not relavent (sP). How we react is. We can't change the fact that things happen. We must just deal with them as they happen. He talked about self esteem, and how we let what others think of us bring us down, when in reality it's what we think of ourselves that can change us. Not weather someone else doesn't like what we do. Well I think that is about it. He also talked about wasting your time. Image what learning you could be doing instead of wasting time.
