Angry hi! i am new (eleni! it is me,sher from tops)

hi!
my name is sherri but i see there is already someone with the same name so i will be sher! i am in eleni's tops group. she is at SRD now...having a great time,i am sure! i couldn't go this year...no vacation time!

i started at tops about a year ago....i had lost 22 pounds before i joined and i have lost 40 more. i started at 284-now at 222! next year i should be at goal. i really find that keeping a food journal/log helps me. i exercise for at least 60 minutes a day(except when i am being bad!!) i drink 100 oz of water a day and try to keep my calories to 1500 a day. i know that soon i will have to drop the calories again to keep losing...doesn't that stink!!??

i am co leader of our group this year and hope it will motivate me!

i was posting to another board (not on this site) and found that i am not getting the motivation i was before. i think i have a different focus now and hope i can be a positive force on this board!!

i love to get mail and email so let's talk!!

Hi Ladies
Welcome Surfbaby. Glad to have you aboard. You are doing wonderful. The ladies on this board are awesome. I know I couldn't do this battle without them. And they all give great advice.

Well I made it through last night . Stayed on plan pretty much. This is what I ate. I did break down and have 1 tablespoon of pototoe salad. This one ladies which is my neighbor makes the best. I also had 1 tablespoon of pasta salad. Then I had some 3 slices of cheese, some pickles (not sweet), and some fruit salad. To drink was coffee and water. So really other than the cheese I don't think I did too bad. Boy the desserts. But I DID NOT EAT ANY. I was kinda proud of myself on that.
Only rode the bike for 20 minutes this morn. But may try and get back on later.

Sherri How are you doing. You have been doing so good. When is your trip to the beach? I know it is pretty soon. I am sure you are getting excited about it. And Megan. I bet she cant wait.

Shortstack. How's Brandon today. Hope he is feeling better. Hope he isn't into everything again today. Sounds as if you need to lock yourself in the bathroom and have a good bubble bath.

To everyone else I am thinking of you. Hope you are all having a good day. The sun is shining here. The neighbor is bring the doggie here after bit. I get to watch her the weekend. Her and our pup like to play together. I will just have to watch them. Because our pup still has her stitches in. Dont want to get them tore out. She gets them out on Tues. Take care. And I will check in later.

I am the other sherri on the boards. I think I met you when I was down visiting your chapter from new york. I am one of eleni's friends from here online. I was down there last year.
Congratulations on your success in losing some of the weight. You have done great. I have heard great things about you from eleni. Do you like being co leader? I am the co leader of our group this year also.
I have to write down everything I eat as well and drink my water to if I am going to lose. I drink a min of 64 oz. a day but sometimes I drink 96 oz..
Welcome to the boards and there is so much love and friendship here. We all support each other in the good times and the bad. I hope you like our boards. Feel free to come here anytime.

What can I say girl. You did AWESOME. I am so proud of you. You had a plan for the party and you stuck to it. Way to goal. Those are the kind of things you need to keep doing and you will be at goal in no time.
Keep writing everything down and you will have a loss this week. Great job on the exercise. You are on the right track now. You can start a food journal thread whenever you want. Just go ahead. Different people start them from time to time so that they do better. If it will help you then start one. There will be plenty of people around to look at it and give you suggestions if you need it. Keep heading in the right direction. You are doing great. Keep up the great work.

I leave for my trip on thursday this coming week the 2nd. I can't wait but I am hoping it will be warm. It isn't looking to promising as of yet with all this crazy weather we are having. I just want to have one warm week.

I did have a gain last night but I am not upset with it. I am trying to stay focused on the big picture and not on the scale. I don't have to have a scale tell me I did terrible when I know that I did great. I did everything right last week. I should have had a loss but I didn't. But I know that the predisone makes you gain weight and wendy said that antibiotics make you gain weight also. I was on both. I don't weigh in now for 3 weeks. When I come back I will have a loss for sure.

I do have to change the way I am doing the strength trainging though. Because when I do that the scale goes up and when I stop it comes down. So when I get back I will do it fri or sat through monday. I will do it 3-4 days a week in a row. Then take off the rest of the week to give my muscles a chance to recoop. And to let the scale go back down. Luckily I won't have to worry about the scale for a few weeks so I can work the upper and lower body the same day every other day. That will work. I plan on sticking to my eating plan as best I can. I won't come home with a gain. That is the plan anyway. I am going to take all my measureing stuff with me and my weights and my plan so I can workout and stay on plan while there.

I did the program last night on goals. I made out a goal sheet for everyone. They filled in their short term goals and how they were going to make it. Then I wrote them on our calendar and I will see when the time comes for each goal if that person has met her goal or not. They marked their own timeframe for their goal. I told them that if they completed their goals they would be rewarded. They wanted to know what the reward would be. I wouldn't tell them. But what we will do is give each person a carnation and a certificate for completing their goal. I can make the certificate on the computer. I thought it was a nice thing to do and a great incentive. But by the time we were 1/2 way through the program we ended up with only 5 people at the meeting.
We really have to do something about the meetings that is for sure. We will have to start earlier and just make it so. We can't not have a meeting everyweek because no one wants to stay past 7pm. It is ridiculous. I am going to say something to the leader. There were only 2 people that had a problem with the earlier weigh in. They all want the meeting to last 30 min and it can't happen everyweek. By the time we finish roll call because we are growing it takes 25 min or less. So that leaves 10 min for a program. That is not good.

Anyway I am offplan today for my cheat day. I will resume again on plan tomorrow.
