Hi ladies... I'm going to try and post daily now... I think we are into a routine of getting 5 solid hours of sleep a night now and I'm not quite so exhausted.
Congrats to everyone on being op and for all the weightloss. And the commitment to exercise! WOW! you guys are great! I keep saying I'll commit and then finding excuses not to do it. I have my 4 week tomorrow, and hopefully the Dr will give me the exercise go ahead. So far I've only been doing some (very little) upperbody and walking with the baby.
It's been over 100 on my back deck (afternoon sun) for the past 5 days, and I don't see that changing until October or so! I've already decided to order baby sunglasses for Mya to protect her little eyes. I don't like the idea of keeping her inside all summer, but would do that rather than have her suffer eye dammage from the uv rays.

And I think we are going to buy one of those blow up pools that fit adults too and get some sort of awning to go over it so it doesn't get direct sun. I'd really like a real pool, but we can't find a dealer we like for above ground ones, and inground ones are too expensive for a house we are hoping to sell in the next year or so. And we would never recoup even a fraction of the cost in the price we'd get for the house.
Well, I'm op, this is day 4 of being completely op... no cheating, and I must say I feel better for it. I think eating well is also helping my breast milk supply which seemed to be drying up there for a while. I've also started taking these nasty tasting drops that are supposed to help. Between that and renting a hospital grade pump and pumping every 3 hours (which reminds me it's time again) I'm hoping to get back my milk. Mya still isn't latching on well, but now I think it's mostly just that my milk is scarce and she is used to a ready supply from the bottle. I found a lactation consultant that I like now... one that isn't chastizing me for all the things I've done "wrong". This one just says "you did the best you could at the time and now we just need to deal with the difficulties that have cropped up." (Well I'm paraphrasing a bit but that's the message.)
With hot days coming for everyone remember to drink that water! Down here we go by 1/2 oz for each pound you weigh...

I can hear you all now "but I'll float away!!" build up to it slowly, adding an extra glass every couple of days and you'll be there in no time and it will seem like nothing at all. And if you have trouble drinking water at all try adding a citrus slice to it, even just one or two thin slices of orange in a pitcher do wonders... makes it look like you are getting a treat too. And the additional carbs are so miniscule that they don't even matter. Just remember to put the rest of the orange in a ziplock bag in the fridge so it doesn't dry out before you can use the rest.
Now that I've written a book have a good day all.
