Default Monday-- A new week

Did the weekend go by fast or what???? But the weeks usually also goes by fast too so it will be the weekend before I know it. The older I get the faster the days go by.

There is a thing on tv this morning about some of the burn victims of Sept 11. How horrendous. I went thru having my son in the burn unit for weeks and it is horrible. These people have been thru ****. Really makes you count your blessings.

I did badly with my eating yesterday but back on track today. But I enjoyed every bite.

The show we went to see was good. Bill did not like it as well as I did. He said it had too much singing.
Afterwards we went to the mall and went to about 8 jewelry stores looking at bracelets. I thought it would be a good idea to get matching bracelets for our anniversary in July. Not a good idea. Mr picky only saw one he liked and I showed it to him. But it was more expensive than what I had in mine. Well look around some more.

Well today is a new week so hopefully we will all have a good week. Time for me to leave for work

Eleni,

Too much singing? Did you tell him it was a musical.LOL That is funny. I am glad you enjoyed the show though.
That is okay that you overdid yesterday. Because you knew what you did. You enjoyed it and now you have moved on and gotten back on track today. Great going girl. You will still have a loss this week for sure. Keep up the exercise.

I am still doing great. But I have to eat more. I did try and have 2 SF fudgsicles and 1 bag of popcorn last night to make it to the min points but I still didn't make it. But my stomach started to feel sick again probably from all I ate. It is better today.

I am so low on pts because I have cut out carbs with my dinner. But I wish my scale would come down and it isn't. But I can't go by my scale anyway. We will see what the TOPS scale says. I should have a loss I haven't been to the min points yet this week. I will try harder on that one.

You have a great day.

Talking Monday-weigh in day for me.

Good morning Eleni- I'm glad you enjoyed you day off program. We all need them once in awhile. I'm sure skinny people over indulge once in a while. I don't think I did to bad yesterday. I ended up walking more, last night. I also have already walked today. It doesn't look like we are going to the movies today. My husbands mom was going with me. But his niece and nephew got into some trouble and now can't be left alone. The thing that bothers us the most about this, is that we've had this day planned for awhile, and now she can't enjoy it. I'm just not happy about it. Especially, the more i think about it. So Brandon and I are going to cut out the cookies I started yesterday. (the last batch). Rocket power movie at 2, and I guess we will go this weekend as a family to see return to never, never land I plan on exercising more, and last thing is meeting tonight.
So you all take care.
Christian, Sherri, CC, everyone. Have a great day

I use to go to ww but I just can;t afford it anymore. MY doctor said he didn;t care what diet plan i followed as long as I lost weight so I quess the next step is find a plan that will work for me.

Hi Bev,

Welcome and you sure can join us anytime.

I count points for the WW and I do Sugar Busters as well. Did the WW work for you? If so why not keep doing it. You don't need the meetings to do the plan. I have never been to a meeting but I know the plan thanks to a friend and the computer. It is the only thing that has ever worked for me. As long as I count my points and weigh and measure everything I lose weight every time. Then once in awhile I stray off course and do something else. But I am done with that. The SB plan along with the WW plan has gotten me 1 size smaller in just 4 weeks. So I am very happy with that.

But you are right we all need to find what works for us and stick with it. Not all plans work for everyone.
You will find what works for you I am sure.

I read this tonight and wanted to share it with everyone. I hope it helps someone out.

The most famous and most meaningful line in this poem is, “Two roads diverged in the wood, and I took the one less traveled."

As I read that excerpt on the front of the post card, I was reminded of the two roads you face every time you make a health choice. Do you take the road less traveled or do you take the worn path of habit? If you continue to struggle with your weight, it’s because you continue to walk down the same path.

So, in staying with my “change” theme here, I suggest you use this fall season as the catalyst to take charge of your life. There are so many things that we can’t control in this world but what you eat and how you treat your body is absolutely under your control.

Taking the road less traveled is exactly what you must take to win this battle you wage with weight. In order to finally take charge and get healthy, you must break free from the gravitational pull of habit. In other words, you must take the road less traveled. Because, as that old saying so accurately states, “If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got.”

You’ve heard the expression, “I’m turning over a new leaf.” Well, as the trees release their old leaves with the arrival of fall, what better reminder is there for you to turn over a new leaf as well. Let each leaf you see this fall be a friendly reminder to take the road less traveled and choose healthy eating.

They say, for every time there is a season. Why not make this season your time!
