OK, now we can continue moving the furniture into the living room! And maybe put up a

Walked last night before the really bad food banquet. Wasn't much I could or wanted to eat there. And a bit pricey. However. I guess it was good for the food plan! Anyway...my ankle is swollen...and I cannot for the life of me think what I did...I noticed it when I was walking and by the time we got home from the party, it was quite extended. I . I'll just keep it iced and elevated as I can!

Alright...gotta go get brekkie, water the heathens...they are beating up their water bucket, sort and play I guess.

Anagram...I hope that you had a great week-end with the little ones!
Wsw where are you?
Glad to see you Arabella. Take care everyone!

hi all!

ceara-thanks for asking about me!

physically, i have just been a mess for quite a while now. have to say, i'm getting pretty tired of it, too. had bronchitis again, and kind of worn out from that. ms technical difficulties all become worse whenever i have an infection, so not moving around too well (and doing my "frankenstein walk" a lot lately.) not a pretty picture, i must say. lol! plus, being stuck inside so much is giving me cabin fever. ok, all that said, i have had some nice visits from friends this past week, which i thoroughly enjoyed. not doing so great with the food. got a bit lax again with that, so once again heaving my royal self back on to the wagon, and small, dainty portions are what i am shooting for. please know that i am thinking of you all, even though not responding individually. will try and catch up on some of your posts today. take good care, all.

Hello Dear Ones! Remember me? I was feeling homesick for all of you and have enjoyed reading thru the thread and catching up. It's still hard for me to get on and stay on here so I better make this quick. Just know that I'm still thinking about all of you and I'll visit soon.

Default All hearts come home for Christmas.

Hello my fellow Queens!

I received a Christmas card from Anagram a few days ago and it led me back to the palace. (Thanks, Anagram!)

Arabella, my condolences on the loss of your MIL. Such a hard time of year to deal with such.

Flower! What a surprise to see you!

Hi Kaylets, ceara, wsw, Eydie, and our newest Royal, Bobbolink!

Life is fairly good in the Wildfire household. Believe it or not I have become a gym rat, going 4 days a week after work. Maintaining status quo until the New Year arrives, then planning a full-out attack. Nowhere near ready for Christmas yet, busy week at work ahead, still have shopping to do...AAAACCKKK!

Still keeping a journal in the land far away, but the Palace will always be home sweet home.

Oh my, 2 of my very old friends! So good to see you Eydie and Wildfire!

I am counting calories on fitday. No real plan, but it has kept me accountable. I don't want to have a bed time snack as I am up to my limit for the day. lol We are too broke to follow any "real" diet. But I don't want that to be an excuse to over eat either.

I do have to work on my excersice. It is lacking something awful!

Fly by - going to babysit the young 'uns next door very shortly. Hi Wildfire and Eydie - glad to hear from you and glad to have you back, flower.

Nutcracker visit was lots of fun. I got my allottment of hugs and kisses and attention. Was nice to be there for DDs birthday too even though she got precious little time to be "queen" that day. She and DSIL did get to go out to dinner to celebrate though since I was there to keep the girls. Do I notice a theme? No, I'm not going to turn pro as a babysitter

Will have more to say later, I'm sure. Scooting to be ready on time - don't usually go anywhere at 8:00 in the a.m. Sweet little guys but hope I can hold up for the whole morning.

Anon.

I'm having fun with those little icons...have them saved in a wordpad document...just the codes. So, I never know what little guy I'm going to get until after I post...unless I remember what the code is. Unlikely! You like 'em too Anagram!

Well, the scale is staying the same...which is good. The ankle is not swollen this am so I am going to walk. See what happens.

I think the holiday frenzy is upon us! I am going to stay calm.

Smile Yes, remain calm!

Oh, I love these guys too! I'll have to use LOTs of them to make up for not being around much

I WI'd yesterday, thinking I'd better nip any upward trend in the bud. I think I must have lost some and then regained because I was exactly where I had been , despite feeling fatter. Am getting self fortified to resist temptation. I'm fighting a head cold -- felt, last night, that I'd lost the battle but today it feels as if I still might be able to fend it off. So I'm working on that in the midst of all merry preparations I SO don't want to be sick but there's been a cold making the rounds and things have certainly been stressful.

MIL's passing has made me so much more aware of what's really important. I'm trying to support DH as best I can. It's been such a painful few months for him. He's doing so well, too, grieving but staying open instead of shutting himself off. I'm very proud of him. And the changes in him have been so good for our relationship...

Ceara, whooo-hoo for the maintain! Who needs that traditional 5-10+ for the season? Not us!

Anagram, you and me both! I can get up very early and enjoy it -- but trying to shove self out of house early is very much of a trial. I think you're wise not turning pro. Much as we love our princes and princesses they can wear one out, can they not.

Kaylets, we didn't actually make the concert. It was Sunday afternoon and MIL died Friday night. We just didn't have the heart for it. But there's a sing-along Messiah concert on the 28th that the choir hosts and I'm looking forward to that. And then next year, the concert will be GREAT!

It does feel so much more like "home for the holidays" in the palace with our beloved Eydie and Wildfire making the trip.

WSW, take great and gentle care of your own sweet self! Like Kaylets said, we always hold you in our thoughts.

Flower, you've inspired me -- I'm going to start tracking again. It makes SO much difference.

Bobbolink, I don't think we've officially met -- welcome, welcome!

K, I must be back to work. I'm actually getting the holiday week off so I have stuff to do...

Love to all!

Big slip up today at that famous melt in your mouth donut place. I am gonna have to eat really lean dinner tonight and tomorrow to undo my dmg! At least nowadays my slip ups are just contained to less than 24 hours, instead of weeks at a time. Holiday/money stress for sure. BUT I will overcome!

Hi Arabella! Glad you are home and that DH is doing as well as can be expected. Good work on the WI front!

Flower...that is a big step in the right direction...recovering quicker and nipping the binge in the bud is a really good tactic. Actually recognising the behaviour is excellent also! for you!

I've gotta fly....have to groom one of Mom's dogs this am, and I'm not done shopping either....or wrapping, or putting the last few ornaments on the tree, or finishing tidying the living room after the new floor,...etc,... etc,... etc,......

Unhappy Ah-ah-ahhhhh-CHOOOOOOOO!

Well, I should have known that if there was ever a time that I'd come down with a cold, this would be it. I've got the cold from heck, despite all determination to fight it. Now I'm pinning my hopes on getting the worst of it over soon. This is Day 2 of full-fledged nasty and I'm thinking the first 3 days are usually the worst? Will devote self to trying to recover today: keep vaporizer and fluids going, work on laptop from the couch, try to rest and destress. Hope to be feeling more-or-less ok by the big day...

Speaking of stress, there's a financial dispute between a sister and a brother, who wants me to mediate to try to keep the situation from getting ugly. He's hard-up and needs to get some cash ASAP. I'm reluctant to go to my sister about this before Christmas.... Ugh.

Flower, nice save! Those little slips can lead to days, weeks, etc. of derailment. Let us hang on by our dainty fingernails (as WSW would say).

Let's sprinkle liberally around the palace.

Repeat as necessary.

Ceara, sounds like your preparations are pretty much at the same stage as mine. I got my tree up in time for DH's birthday last week but haven't really finished with decorating it. Must either put on the last ornaments or get the boxes the heck out of the dining room... There are a few things that still have to be done either today or tomorrow and a "guaranteed" parcel containing 3 gifts that I'm really hoping arrives. Other than that, I'm thinking that even if I end up finishing on Sunday, Christmas will come and it will all be ok

Anagram, hope the neighbour kidlets didn't wear you out completely!

WSW, hope you're feeling better!

Kaylets, hope that you're surviving those late shifts! I'm glad that this holiday season is an improvement for you. The palace really is a wonderful place of support, isn't it.

K, lovelies. Oatmeal calls... Let's all treat ourselves like the royalty we are today.

Yes Arabella, the palace certainly is a support filled place....and I too am having a better non-food experience this year. I'm off in a few minutes to work off some steam whilst walking. Too bad with the cold...try extra vit c with zinc.... the zinc seems to disallow the virus to attach to mucus membranes and therefore the cold doesn't last so long, or get as severe. I too have a stiffish throat....but am being very vigilant about taking that daily vitamin! The zinc, C things are throat lozenges I believe.

OK...I am starting to wake up now....gotta go!

Well, even with my slip ups, I am down 2.5 pounds this past week. Woo Hoo! Be back on later, I have to get the kiddos off to school.
