Gaaaaaaah, I had a long post written up, and then the stupid laptop froze (AGAIN!!!).

So just briefly (no, I can't bring myself to write all that all over) - my challeng for this week is to drink water, and I'm aiming for 3 bottles (1.8 litres). Today I drank 2 because I didn't remember until late, but it's not too bad - a lot better than the last few days. I'll see how it goes, and if needed, I'll expand the challenge to, for example, being done with half of the water an hour after lunch at the latest. Or something like that. We'll see.

Good luck to everyone.

No loss - but no gain either! Spent most of the weekend working in the yard getting ready for a graduation party; must have done some good because I sure am sore!
This week I WILL drink 64oz of water everyday, eat smart at the graduation dinners and party & work out at least 3 days.
Determined to see a loss this week - Hope it's a great week for all of us losers!

Default Tuesday Report

Hi Ladies
back Sushi! You are doing great with the water - 2 is better than 1. Work your plan and I guarantee it will make a difference. If you are looking for a way of being to stand in - I would suggest taking a stand to be ProActive!

Tryin' - Glad your report is great! It's more disappointing to gain than to stay the same so we are rejoicing with you. Here's to your success on meeting your goals this week I would suggest taking on being Unstoppable in meeting your goals!

Donna for your 2 plus pounds down! Congrats and keep up the good work. Your goals are great too - the water, the exercise and adding the veggies all contribute to your plan to Stop the Insanity. For you, I would suggest you take on being Consistent and Driven!

Well Ladies - I am down 2.5 pounds 237.5! I got in 4 days of exercise last week as promised and I am promising 4 days again. I am taking on Fun and Spontaneity to make that happen. Everyday I will make my workout a game (hence the fun) and choose what best suits me that day between my tapes, the treadmill and the stair climber (spontaneity). I got in a 20 minute treadmill walk in on Monday - Day 1 down!

As far as water is concerned I am taking on being Consistent and like Sushi striving to get the first 2/3 in by 2:00 p.m. everyday.

Have a great day! mscat

Mscat-congtrat to you too on your 2.5lb loss...and for your support...

yesterday was good..I got in 30 mins on elliptical and 30 mins weights....I drank 72 oz of water....what I did was fill a small (half gallon) milk carton with water and took it to work with me to drink all day and to carry around the house...it helped me to get in my water...you can see all at once what you've drank and whats left still for the day...I also got in a little veggies..

Hey Ladies

Congrats on the loss, Donna and Mscat!

Water challenge going quite alright, I did drink the 3 bottles on Tuesday and I'm on my third right now for Wednesday, should see the bottom before I get off the computer.

I've been applying for jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs and more jobs... doesn't look like any of the agencies I'm registered with will find me anything any time soon, so I decided to try by myself. The problems are as expected: I'm losing interviews just because I can only commit to 3 months' work because of my visa restrictions. I had hoped that teaming up with agencies would be a way of getting around that. But I'll keep on applying - maybe eventually something will work out.

Well, Mscat, I bet when you chose the heading "Stop the yakking..." you didn't really want me to stop yakking here on the thread! No real reason for the time spent away, just life.

So anyway, this week started off with a weigh-in on Monday. Up to 197.9 lbs!!!! But for once, I didn't panic and eat myself into a stupor. I decided to just continue on with what I'm doing, and voilą - this morning back to 195.6. It must have been payback for my little ice cream episode last week, and once all the extra junk was out of my system, I got back to where I was. I don't think I'll be able to hit the under-190 target by July 1, but I'm certainly going to try! Maybe if I ramp up the exercise a bit...

My watchwords for the week are MODERATION, POSITIVITY, and READING. (Why reading, you ask? Well, I watch too much tv, and there are no food porn ads in books...) The hotter weather is good for eating the right things. It really makes me enjoy good stuff like fruit and veg and yoghurt. I'm also trying to move at least a little every day. In fact, last night I overcame my true nature and called a friend to go for a quick 2k walk before bed. Not what I used to call exercise, but better than nothing...

Bonnie, where are you hiding? Are you too busy exercising and undereating to come and post? Or are you hiding in BB-land avoiding the scale?

Donna and Mscat, bravo on the nice weight-loss! That's the kind of result I'd like to see too.

Sushi, good luck on the job hunt. I can see the visa issue make sit tough. But it seems you're enjoying the break, which is great as long as it doesn't go on too long.

Default Evenin' Ladies

short post - been MIA - out of town for 2 days with no internet access!

Back in town and back in the system - got off on water, exercise and plan while I was away! Afraid to even look at the scale!

Carla - you little minx! I missed you. No I did not mean for any of us to stop posting and talking Just want us to put some positive actions behind our words. Sounds like you are back on track again I absolutely love your choice words - If they don't inspire you I don't know what will - heck I am inspired. on the 2k walk.

Sushi on the water! We will keep praying and sending : your way for a job. Are you eligible to renew your visa? Lets' hope for great temp position that will last the duration.

Donna - on your exercise and water. I like your strategy! Now that is stopping the insanity and trying on something new that is really making a difference in your water intake. I am going to to try that because I have a tendancy to get lazy about refilling my 24 oz bottle and then losing count how many I have to go.

Have a great evening ladies

Hey ladies

I've been getting the water in most of the days, but I'm not entirely happy with when that happens - yesterday I didn't start till late in the afternoon, for example. Will need to work on that.

I had a interview with another agency today, and I really liked the agency and the consultant. Much more friendly and interested in me as a person than any other agency I've tried. Hopefully they can get me some work soon, but unfortunately I hope it won't be extremely soon... I'm having problems sitting down... I slipped on the stairs 2 days ago, fell very hard on my bottom and now I have a huge purple bruise, which seems to have swollen as well. I'd treat that as a proverbial kick in the butt to get moving, but I can't do much exercise with it...

Default Go Girls!

Donna and on the water and 2 days - go for the 5 - that's today, Saturday and Sunday - you can do it and we are behind you

Sushi - that late afternoon start with water gets me too. So let's pledge for the rest of the week to get started by 10 a.m. on our water quest. I am late but I am downing my first 24 oz right this minute. If lower body is challenging with your injury - shoot for some upper body - use some weights (or cans, jugs) while sitting in a chair or do some sit down yoga moves. Your gluts might tingle a bit but less than if you are on your feet. You may not be able to do what you planned to do - but you can do something. You are woman - You are strong While you are doing your upper body repititions, say "Great job, Great Assignment." I'll be chanting that for you on my walk this afternoon!

Awesome Day to you all!

Default Sunday Report

Where is everyone? Well, I did not get in my exercise yesterday - but there is no lamenting about that, nor is there any giving up because I didn't keep my promise ( 4 days). That would be the old "Insanity" way of doing things.

Instead of doing a 15 or 20 minute workout, I am going for an hour of activity! Either an hour on the treadmill or a combo tread and stair or stair and WATP - tread and Tae Bo . . . The possibilities are endless and I am excited about that! So many choices to restore the integrity of my promise. I can't recoup the 4 days but I CAN get 4 plus workouts in. I am also going to make certain I get my 64 oz of water in by 6 p.m.

How about joining me on this challenge ladies? How can you make up for unmet promises/goals or if you met your goals, go for the extra icing on the cake??? Who will take me on and report back by the a.m? Don't forget, Monday is weigh-in day.

mscat
PS 16 oz of water down - 48 to go!

Hey Ladies

It's Monday here... and I'm up 2 pounds... I'll blame it on TOM for now.

Last week has seen an improvement with water drinking, but I'm still not drinking as much as I'd like to, so I'm going to continue with that challenge.

Good luck to everyone :

Good morning all! I'm still not ready to get back on the scale, afraid of not being back to where I was last month. Think I'll give it another week!
But - I did do my water everyday last week, except for graduation party day for my son - I ate well, and I actually started working out! Joined a gym I can walk to with other neighbors and have friends and family I can go with. Sore as you-know-what, but love the feeling because I know it's doing me good!

Sushi - hope a good job opportunity comes up for you soon - it's hard to stay focused on anything else when your looking for work!

Donna - hope you made your goal through the weekend, I'll bet you did though God knows, weekends are tough!

mscat - your continued encouragement to all of us makes such a BIG difference! Thanks, thanks and more thanks!

My goal for this week is to continue to drink my water, work out at least three times for 45 minutes to an hour and stay the course on the food! Finally got rid of all the graduation goodies last night, so should be easier.
And finally - get on the scale next week regardless!

Default Yea Monday!

Afternoon Ladies - Just a short report for last week. Hit water goal most days - will make all 7 this week - Promise! As I said, I missed my fourth day when I skipped Saturday's workout. However as I promised, I did get in a 1 hour treadmill workout on Sunday to make up for it Like you Tryin', I am sore but it feels good to hurt a little bad. Also got in my 64 oz in yesterday. This week's goals are 3 days of 30 minute minimum workouts and 64 oz of H2O plus every day. My being in action word for this week is UNSTOPPABLE.
Tryin' what a great week for you - You can do it again! We will see you on the next week with a great report.

Sushi You improved on your water intake from what it was before! That's what counts. That means you are going to be even more successful this week. We are right behind you!

I will report my weigh in later
