Good morning ladies,

It is raining here again. . the last day of May, guess it's going out as wet as it's been all month. At least it's still warm. The road construction is into full swing, it's an adventure everytime we go out. Business will be dropping considerably, we are right in the middle of the construction and the road commission has not thought this out very well, they have practically cut us off completely. We are on a dead end road so we have to go out, all other roads have two ways in and out, but the 3 of us on this side of the highway have to use it to get out, they didn't think about that.. there are many businesses out this way so we are all quite upset with the road commission.

Susan, you have a very pretty picture, you do not look like you need to lose anything. It's nice about all the great tributes to your dad. Yes, his birthday and upcoming Fathers day will be hard for you.. when I lost my dad, I was only 20 and for the first few months every time I said the Our Father, it made me cry. But as they say, time heals all wounds, they don't go away but the pain gets less and less.

Jules, how is your dd doing and yourself? Time is on your side too. Summer is a good time to start over.

Shawna, are you working long hours because of the holiday or are your summer hours longer than normal?

Mari, hope your mom feels better soon. Communing with nature sounds so pleasingly relaxing. Hope you got lots of rest.

Beb, June C., Michelle, Christina, Katy and everyone else I'm sure I missed, hello and hope you all have a great day.

Ok, I'm off again. We are doing tag inventory today. We started it yesterday should finish today. Tying up loose ends. Need to think about having a sale later in the month.

I'll check back tonight.

Ginny

I think I will pick up a salad for lunch. I enjoyed the bacon grease too much I am afraid this morning.....haha.

I guess that is it. Tons to do so better get busy!!! Chow.....

Boy oh boy....I had the WORST "must have flavor" crisis ever today! UGH! I was wracking my brains to see what I could have that would 'hit the spot'. For my morning snack, I had baked tostitos with salsa. Baked tostitos are 110 cals for 20 chips and the salsa is 10 cals for 2 tbsp - not bad at all. Well...that held me over for a little bit, but by lunch time I was afraid I was going to eat everything flavorful in sight if I didn't do something drastic. So...I sauted a whole pile of red onions in pan spray and put them on my sandwich. Then I had a bunch more baked tostitos and salsa. I can honesty say that now I am stuffed. Whew! I was beginning to wonder if I would ever get it! I could SERIOUSLY go for some chocolate now. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??????? The bad thing is that I have managed to use just over 800 cals of my 1200 'budget' already today. I am going to have to keep it extremely light for the rest of the day. I hope my 'flavor crisis' is over now.

Bep Hang in there!!! At least you are aware of what you need to do for the rest of the day. How about the water?? Sometimes I have noticed that water helps with the cravings.
I have to watched it too with all the bacon I ate the morning - I ended up eating 6 slices - it was soooooo good.
Salad is always good or a big bag of frozen veggies.....

So...I wrote that post above not long ago. I have since been sitting here thinking "what in the WORLD is wrong with me?" I am having a serious CHOCOLATE DESIRE issue right now. Since I have been counting cals, I have been able to breeze through these cravings about 99% of the time, so I couldn't figure out why it was different this time.

So...(going to be graphic here) I just went to the bathroom and TOM just showed up! I totally didn't see that coming!!! It is only day 34 of my cycle! For a long time now, my cycles have been around 55+ days. Must be my weight loss is helping regulate my cycles better! YIPPPEEEE!!! I guess that is a bit of an NSV in itself!!!

So...I am actually a bit relieved knowing what kind of I am up against! Silly me!!!! It's not like this is my first period ever! I should have seen it coming! Joke's on me today!

Hello ladies...

SUSAN...yes, that is a very nice picture/avatar of you! Like I said in the pm...I don't think a few pounds are going to make that big of a difference, you are still nice looking. Well, I think if you wanted the table your brother should have let you have it. But glad you managed to get a few things.

KATY...so did you guys have a great time visiting your mom? I completely forgot that you went away for the weekend,

GINNY...sorry about the inconvenience the construction is/will cause and sorry to hear about your mom-forgot to mention that yesterday, was in a hurry. But lots of ((((((HUGS)))))) to you.

BEP...silly woman I've done that before though. Had the cravings and couldn't figure out why I would be crazy for them, and giving in. Of course my TOM is so crazy and about non-existant I never know. Haven't had an actuall TOM in about 8 months. Not that I am complaining because I rather like it that way. But last month it decided to pop in, very short lived but the cravings were horrible!

MICHELLE...another nice avatar. Look forward to seeing bunches of new ones! Of course you ladies are making it to where I am going to have to put one up. Going to have V (DH) take some Friday and see if I can get a decent one that I like. Have a roll of film to finish off and will take some pictures of Josh before he leaves too.

JULES...hope you are getting some rest in between being so busy. Glad to hear DD is doing fine. I thought of you this morning while at It Figures...I got ont he ellipitcal and OMG! I am up to 2 mns. now, woohoo! I know that seems like nothing but after working out and then getting on that last OMG...you really feel it! And 2 mns. almost killed me, lol!

MARI...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom and dad.

Anyway...HI to everyone else

Today I am just taking it easy. Lunch/Dinner yesterday with Josh was delicious! Glad we don't do that often, I would be as big as a house! Doing a load of laundry and that's about it. The weather today is icky...muggy, humid, hot, rainy and just down right icky! I am afraid we are going to have a very HOT summer. I did go to It Figures this morning and got my workout in...feeling so tired this morning though, think it is the weather. Just really sleepy. Anyway...

Take care ladies and have a nice day!

Cristi Have Josh takes some pictures of you!! Where did you guys go?
I grabbed the table. It is this marble type and I put the legs on but they are wobbly. It is a nice heavy table, I need to get some chairs to go with.

Hiya Susan...

We went to a BBQ place called Famous Daves. Everyone is always talking about how good it is and you have to go there some time. Well, we did and it was! A little on the expensive side but well worth it if you only go every now and then. And we don't eat out too often, maybe once or twice a month. Glad you grabbed the table! Have a good lunch!

Busters is a wonderful place for BBQ here. It was my dads favorite place - we might go there Sunday after we go visit his grave site. BBQ in honor of daddy - *sigh* I miss him.
I am starving!! Waiting for my assistant to come back with some apples - she said she would get some munchies too.

better get busy!

Hi Girls...Not much going on here, and I wish this headache would leave! I just saw on the news, they were saying the top cities in Oregon that have the worst polution and air control; Hillsboro was first with a listing of hazardous, and Oregon City was second with a high level; now that makes me feel real good!

SUSAN...Hope you get your apple fix soon! I think that would be nice to go to Busters on Sunday in memory of your dad.

CRISTINA...Yes, please do get a picture of you on here. I love to see what people look like! Here I thought Susan had blonde hair, so it's so fun to see everyone!

MICHELLE...don't know what color hair you think I have but I am a blonde, lol! I will seriously look for a photo that I like and try to get it up tomorrow so you can see me! Hope your headache gets better. I don't get migraines often, thank goodness, but when I do they are bad ones. I have to just go lay down and sleep it off-turn the radio off, close the blinds and put a cold rag or ice pack over my forehead and go to sleep. Kind of stays with me for a couple of days. So feel better

SUSAN...that's a good idea...BBQ in honor of daddy! Now is the cemetery close so you can visit often? I wish I would have put DH#1 someplace that I could go to the cemetery often but at the time I was moving around so much trying to find myself-think I got lost in the process of trying to find myself, lol! Anyway, so I put him next to my grandparents in Arkansas. I don't go often but it makes me feel better than he is there rather than in CA where I could never go. When I had him buried I bought a double headstone with my name on it to so we could be side by side. Let me tell ya...it was alittle freaky seeing that for the first time...my name on a headstone!

Anyway...better get going ladies. Gotta go pick up DH from work in about 5 minutes.

Have a good day ladies!

I don't know why Hillsboro, out in the middle of nowhere Michelle! lol Sorry about your migraine, hope you start feeling better. OC is a wonderful place, I am surprised to hear about that one too. No apples yet but someone brought me some asparagas - maybe I will cook that tonight.
Cristi - My father is about 10/12 miles from where I live and 5/6 miles from where I work, not too bad. My baby sister wanted to bury him in TX with his sister, she thought he had bought a plot down there. It would have cost a fortune to take him down there!! lol.

anyway, my assistant is waaaaay late.....I want my lunch break too!! she better bring something good
