Good Morning!! Well, I didnt get in my second walk and I ended up eating my supper after 7:30 yesterday but I have a good reason for that. My BIL and SIL came up from New Hampshire and visited with us for a while. My SIL had Gastric Bypass in February and she has already lost 80 Pounds!!WOW! She didnt have any complications from it so she is a very happy customer. She said she would do it all again in a heartbeat. I think she said she wants to lose another 80.

I am going to jump in the shower and try to get Alicia up to do 2 walks this morning and then do one before dark to make up for the one I lost yesterday.

Noelle, How did you do eating wise yesterday? Here :dust: I hope this helps you.

angieME 05-14-2006 11:14 AM

:cp: :running: :running: :running: :cheer: YEAH!! Me and Alicia got in a double walk this morning so now all we need is to get in one more before bed and we didnt miss any this weekend. :carrot:

melekalikimaka 05-14-2006 01:38 PM

Woo-Hoo Angie, you are smokin' hot! Great job girl. I bet seeing your SIL slim down so quick gave you more motivation to lose the "old fashion way" (why is it called that? I think it should be called the normal way  ) huh? You know, I wonder how many pounds overweight do you have to be to get approved for gastric bypass? Or is it based primarily on if your health is really adversely affected by the excess weight.... :chin: I would be so scared of getting it done, then having to limit myself so severely on the eating afterward--but I guess if my life depended on it, I could do it.

My eating wasn't too bad yesterday, let's see... some kashi cereal w/lt. soy milke for breakfast, some fresh ramen noodles + veggies for lunch and a subway sub club for dinner. THat aside from a couple of sugar free chocolates, I was pretty darn good. Not much exercise other than walking the mall for a couple of hours looking for a mother's day gift and a b-day gift for my sis. We shall see how today goes. I just got out of bed  I am going to open my gift from Rick and Michael soon....I wonder what it is???

Oh, and by the way, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you mothers. Even if you have no human children, you are great mothers to all your furry pet friends and you should be celebrated too! :grouphug:

angieME 05-14-2006 07:03 PM

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

You know I totally forgot today was Mothers Day. The kids(meaning Jay  ) gave me a bouquet yesterday. So this morning I totally forgot. I hope you ALL have a great day today.

Noelle, I am not sure how much you have to weigh to get approved for it but she couldnt have been much heavier than me. I am too scared to do it too, but it is working wonders for her. What did you get? :gift:

Well, I did it!! I said I was going to walk 3 times today and I did it.

angieME 05-15-2006 08:19 AM

Good Morning girls!!

Kempyd 05-15-2006 09:49 AM

Ok, so we get new people and I vanish. Sorry. I don't know what my problem is. I have just been staying away from the puter. I don't know why either. I am heading out of the door to go to work for a few hours but I will be back later. I promise when I get home I am going to read everything I missed and get back to business. I have been slacking over the weekend on WW too so I need you guys for support. I knew I should have never been away this long. You guys help me with everything and now is the time to get back on track. Be back later.

angieME 05-15-2006 01:25 PM

Hi Kempy. How have you guys been?

I got in my first walk first thing this morning so now just one more and I am done for the day. I didnt have any bread here for lunch and Jay is working at his Moms so I made a tuna salad roll on a tortilla. It was pretty good but I want my bread back.

that is about it so far today. I will be back later.

LadyTyger 05-15-2006 02:36 PM

Hello ladies! Just a quick little post to let ya'll know I am still alive. I had an awful weekend. Will come and post about it later... Have lots to get done today, and I'm not moving so good! :(

angieME 05-15-2006 03:26 PM

Hey LT, I missed you. I hope you are doing a little bit better this afternoon. Cant wait to chat with ya!!

cwneeds2lose 05-15-2006 04:49 PM

Hello everyone,

I've come to the conclusion that I'm way to old for Magic Mountain. The funnel cake wasn't as good as I remember, and it set me off on sugar binges over the weekend. Tomorrow is a new day, and this is a new week. I hope you all had a wonderful mothers day. Have a good day today.

melekalikimaka 05-15-2006 04:54 PM

Hello, hello... I got my 3.5 mile walk in this morning. I went to a Pet Expo over the weekend and picked up a backpack for Lucky (my pup) and made her try it out this morning. It was so funny, I filled up two small water bottles halfway and put them in the pack. Then when I strapped it on her, she would not move at all. It was like she was fused to the spot. I had to bribe her to come to me with some liver treats. I emptied out the bottles and just left the pack on her, then she walked. I know the dog should be able to carry up to 20% of their body weight, but I think I was rushing her with the pack and the extra weight. Oh well, maybe tomorrow will be better. Poor girl.

Oh, and then Rick calls me to tell me that the school called and that I better go and pick up Michael, he had a papercut on his eye or something from another kid waving her homework around. So I freak out a little bit, go to the healthroom and his eye looks perfectly normal, not even red or tearing up. So I talk to him a little bit, and then he says it hurts less than it did when it first happened, so I convince him to go back to class. Crisis averted  I don't want him missing class if he's not really sick ya know? My 9 y.o. niece on the other hand, she's such a drama queen and she was out all of last week--she was maybe actually sick only for one day, but my sister believes her when she says she has a fever and doesn't want to go to school. What a sucker!

cw, that is a good realization about the funnel cake--that it's not as good as you remember. Next time you go to MM you won't even bother with it. And you're right! Today is a new day/new week and we will all make it a good one! :carrot:

LadyT, hope your week is starting off on a better note than your weekend. Wanna talk about it?

Angie, I believe that sandwich is called a wrap ;)... just jokin' with ya  I know you know that. Are your dogs good walkers on the leash? I got Lucky pretty well trained, but she still pulls at certain parts of the walk, I don't know if it's me slowing down or her just wanting to get it over with. Hey, great job on catching up on your walks yesterday too--you are super motivated. --hey, did ya steal my motivation or somethin'? 'cause I can't find it

Kempy, I am super struggling right now too. I feel like I have been off plan for a week and a half. I am doing good today though, and will make myself WI tomorrow, even if I know I will show a gain--I need that reality check if I'm going to get back on track. What's happening out in your neck of the woods?

Hello to all....be back later.

Kempyd 05-15-2006 05:25 PM

Ok, I read them all so I am back now.

Anige I has not shipped back the elliptical yet. I have a call into the company it came from the see what the shipping is going to be. I have a friend who might be able to send it back for me if they are charging too much. I am sure it is going to be high. I think it weighs 120lbs. Did you get your WW stuff in yet?

Noelle I don't know what it is about me getting close to goal. I kind of fizzle for some reason. It is like I think I am so close so I can slack. That is so not true. If I keep at this rate I will never hit goal. Maybe that is what WW is counting on.

CW I have never had a funnel cake. I never knew what they were until we went to Disney a few weeks ago. I guess they kind of remind me of beignets and I would rather eat those. I usually have to watch out for sugar too. It is one of my enemies.

Well, I need to clean the ktichen and MAKE myself go walk. I know I will feel better after I do. I'll check back later.

angieME 05-15-2006 06:49 PM

CW, You are right, tomorrow is a new day. I agree with Noelle too, Now you wont want one next time, That is a plus. ;)

Noelle, YES! A wrap!! I was like a tuna roll thingamajingy somethin or other. YEAH :cheer: On getting in your walk today!!! You ROCK!! I can so see Lucky with the backpack on. Sounds like Candi the other day. haha :kickbutt:

I am glad Michael is okay. Poor baby. Give him a hug from Aunt Angie.

Rebel pulls but he is so preoccupied with hunting squirrels so I just keep checking him. Candi walks fine...unless Rebel sees a squirrel and then she tries to get it too. And Mickey is a great walker except he keeps barking because he wants to be first in line. So I guess they are all FREAKS!!!

Kempy, Nope, I havent gotten my stuff yet but it should be soon. I ordered a new set of scales too. :goodscale They are weight watchers scales and they seem pretty good. I got em for $26.00 plus shipping and on the Conair sight they wanted $65.00 plus shipping so not too bad plus a Weight Watchers chicken cookbook since as you all know we basically eat chicken breast everyday. :hun:

I have found a good weight watchers sight too I am not sure if you guys have checked it out yet but it tells alot about how to do it. It is called Dotties Weight loss Zone. I have learned a ton of info from that sight already.

So, Me and Alicia got in 3 walks today because it was so nice out but I guess we are going to get alot of rain for the next few days. I hope not so bad that I have to ride my bike. :ebike:

LadyTyger 05-15-2006 08:08 PM

So to catch ya'll up...

Here is what happened on my poopy weekend. Friday, was actually a good day. Life wise, that is, not so much eating wise. My mom took me out for dinner, so I ate bad for the first time in 2 weeks. I got carried away I guess. But my scale said -3 pounds, so I thought, why not? Well I shouldn't have... This morning I'm back at where I was *sigh* Anyways... after dinner, we went out to the casino and played the $.05 slots, which was great fun.

Then Saturday, we had to go out to my in-laws, since we could not go out on Sunday for Mother's Day. They live about a 2 hour drive west of us. Which is OK since my horse is right out that direction too. But hubby did not tell me what time we had to be there. So I got up too late to stop at the barn and have a ride. :( We stay out at his folks place doing various things until like 10:00 PM, and I am not impressed at having to drive 2 hours in the dark, because it is starting to rain. We are about 30 mins into the drive, and I come over the hill, and just over the crest of the hill, there are 6 deer standing in the middle of the road. I braked and swerved, and 5 of them ran away from us, but one ran toward us. I tried, but couldn't avoid hitting the silly deer. I pull over to see what's what. Well the deer is dead, I killed it pretty much instantly. :( My car has a smashed headlight, cracked bumper, broken driver's side mirror, the driver's side fender is crushed, and the driver's door does not really open any more. We have a pretty high deductible on our insurance, so it's going to cost a fair amount of money. Which we don't have because I'm still unemployed....

To make matters worse... we went out for Mother's Day Brunch with most of my mom's side of her family, which was really nice. My parents decided to drive my grandmother home. I board my house out at her place, so my parents asked if hubby and I wanted to go with them. I jumped at the chance since I hadn't gotten to ride Sat. We get out to the farm, and I'm riding. It's been going really well, and I am about to call it quits. My horse stumbles suddenly very badly. I get catapaulted off over his head, and hit the dirt face first, HARD. Then behind me, the horse hits the dirt face first, even HARDER. My mom, who is watching me ride for the first time in months, is terrifed that Midnight (my horse) is going to land on me, or step on me when he's getting up. Thankfully, he did not. He was really calm and good, and flipped himself away from me as he's getting himself up. So I am alive to tell the tale. But I'm pretty bruised up. My face, and right arm, and hip are all bruised pretty badly... :(

Ok, so that's it for my pity party, sorry it took so long!

Angie - GREAT JOB!!!!! This weekend you got back on track! It sounds like you are off to an awesome start! and CONGRAT's on the 6 pound loss!!! WTG!!!

Kempy - I think sometimes we psych ourselves out and sabotage ourselves when we get close to goal. It's so much harder than at the beginning when the pounds are falling off. At least, in my experience! :D Hang in there!

Noelle - LOL! I can just see your girl laying down in the sidewalk refusing to budge with that water on her back. Maybe just add a little at a time, and you'll have better luck? And I hope things get back on track for you this week.

Dips - ROFL! I'm glad to know your possible man checks out!!! Hopefully he "measures" up in all the other ways too (pun most definitely intended)!

Helloooo! To everyone else! Hope your weekend were better than mine, and let's all have a great week ladies!

melekalikimaka 05-15-2006 09:07 PM

Hey guys, I just looked at our local newspaper's "Pet Project" website. I posted some new pictures of our feral "outside" cats (Kitty Boy, Whiskas and Leper), my sister's two JRT's Kekoa and Keaka, and then I found pics of Petey, the holland lop--remember Jacks who used to post here? That's her bunny! Check it out here : http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/photo/ln/15. You have to scroll through a few pics before you get to the cats, but Jacks' rabbit is right after. Check it out.

melekalikimaka 05-15-2006 09:14 PM

LadyT, I'm so sorry you had that spill off your horse! I am glad you didn't break any bones. I am sorry about the deer incident too, luckily no one was injured (in the car that is). I hope your week is definitely looking better for ya.

I'm sorry guys.... can I ask you guys to please pray (if you're the praying kind) or send healing vibes for my dad? My post right above this one I wrote around 11:20 a.m. morning, but I got interrupted and didn't post it earlier because my dad fainted upstairs. We had to call an ambulance for him and I just got back from the hospital (3:10 pm now). The doctors suspect he has a bleeding ulcer (for starters) and we are still waiting on additional info. He will be admitted into the hospital soon, but I had to go and pick up the kids from school so I am home now. The rest of my 6 sisters are at the hospital waiting....... I am worried, but am hopeful that the ulcer is the worst of his problems. He is 73 years and a bit long in the tooth but I hope he has many many more healthy years ahead of him. :crossed:

redballoon 05-15-2006 09:18 PM

Noelle, I saw the photos. Very cute!

redballoon 05-15-2006 09:22 PM

Oh, goodness Noelle! I just saw your other post. I'm so sorry to hear of your father and, yes, will pray that he recovers quickly.

jbbm 05-15-2006 10:29 PM

Hi Girls

Noelle your Dad will be in my prayers. I hope everything turns out to be okay. Hugs honey and thinking of you.

I am just trying to read all the posts before bed. Hi everyone and I hope to get back here tomorrow. Take care all.

Dips'n'twists 05-15-2006 11:43 PM

Keep your head up Noelle. I'll be praying for your father to make full recovery. I love you and I'll be thinking of you.

calnative 05-15-2006 11:47 PM

Only 16 more school days!!! Yes, I am counting.
Lots of work to do still, but I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I went walking with the dog, Tucker, and Ashley for about 30 minutes. I guess we went too late, because Ashley kept complaining about her legs being tired, the 'skeeters' (mosquitos), etc. She also protested loudly when I wanted to take the long way home...so we took the short way, but were still gone for 1/2 hour.

Noelle: Your father is in my prayers. I hope everything is well with him.

LadyT: I'm so glad to see that you were not seriously hurt. Also, that your horse is ok as well. I'm sorry about what happened with the deer. It reminded me of the time my mom hit a horse near where she lived. My mom loved horses and when the one she hit died, Mom cried for days. She and my sister were ok, but the car was totaled. The horse went through the windshield. Mom also found out later that the horse was pregnant.

Julie: Hope everything is going well with you.

Kempy: Great to see you back.

Angie: I've been seeing on the news about all the rain New England is getting. I hope you aren't getting too much. Way to go with the walking. I know I feel much better after walking; it's just getting the motivation to do it.

CW: I never really cared for funnel cake. My sister would always get some every time we went to Universal Studios. I don't really care too much for the sweets. I also decided that I'm too old for Magic Mountain. The last time I went was nearly 15 years ago. I haven't even been to Knott's Berry Farm since the late 1960's because it's too much of an amusement park now and I still remember what it used to be like.

Hello to everyone else. Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.

Cal

LadyTyger 05-16-2006 01:18 AM

Noelle! I hope your dad is OK!!! Let us know, OK? :(

Cal - Guess it's time to drag out the bug bomb, hey? Your mom is so lucky she survived, I could not imagine having something as huge as a horse come through my windshield!! I would be devastated if I hit a horse too!

Have a good night everyone!

melekalikimaka 05-16-2006 03:17 AM

Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers. They mean alot! We just got back from visiting again, they are doing more tests tomorrow so we can get a clearer picture of what's going on. They have him on an IV drip so his fluids were replenished, and he is in good spirits, more like his "old" self so I was happy to see him like that. He keeps insisting that he wants to get up and walk around, but we have pleaded with him to please call the nurses before he attempts to do anything of the sort. With the amount of blood loss he has had over the past two days, he is still a little dizzy and faint. He's a stubborn old goat though, which is his usual self so that's a good sign. I hope to have more positive news tomorrow. Thanks again ladies, you guys are the best! :grouphug:

redballoon 05-16-2006 06:12 AM

The report sounds great, Noelle! So glad to hear your father is sounding genki! I will keep praying for a full recovery.

angieME 05-16-2006 07:16 AM

Noelle, Oh My Gosh. I am praying for your Dad too. I hope everything is okay today and you get great news on his further tests.

LT, My husband delivers all the donuts really early in the morning when the deer like to just hang out in the road so he has hit tons of deer before. I feel so bad for everyone of them but they do come right at ya so you cant help it. He has to buy a parts car(junky ones for delivering) so he can have spare parts and doesnt have to file a claim.

I am glad that you werent more seriously injured after falling off your horse. That must have been scary. I hope you have a great day today.

Cal, 16 Days!! I can tell how excited you are. We didnt get ANY of the rain that everyone else got this weekend. It was sunny and beautiful here. My BIL and SIL were up from New Hampshire the whole weekend and had to call my MIL when they got home to say how bad it was and that the schools werent even open down there. She said that they should have just stayed up here for a few more days. But we are expecting rain here now until after this weekend.

Well, It is cloudy out right now but hasnt started to rain yet so I am off to squeeze in a dry walk. I will check back later.

angieME 05-16-2006 10:11 AM

Hi. I went online and typed in weight watchers online points calculator and found one!!! I have been grabbing everything out of my cupboards and adding up the points for everything. According to that my average daily intake is only about 21 points.(actually less because I eat about half a serving of breakfast.)

**breakfast**
cheerios with skim milk

**Lunch**
tuna
lowfat mayo
2 slices bread
2 servings wow chip

**snack**
1 banana

**Supper**
3-4 oz. chicken breast with cajun seasoning
1 cup jambalaya with cheese
1 cup brocolli

Do you think that is right? What I have read is that I should eat 28 points a day, how would I do that? It seems like too much food now. You mean I should be eating another 7 points per day (that isnt even counting the flex or exercise points)AND I would still lose weight? If that is true than WOW!! I think I will like this plan.

I got up and took my walk in the break of rain and it hasnt stopped downpouring once since I got back.

angieME 05-16-2006 10:17 AM

Oh yeah one more question. I looked up the points for restaurants on Dotties websight. So if I wanted to take all my flexpoints some Saturday and go to Popeyes I could use them all on that meal and I would still lose weight or just maintain? How do you guys work those, Do you just try not to use them or do you use them? Sorry to be so annoying?

Kempyd 05-16-2006 11:03 AM

Noelle I am so gald to hear that your dad is doing better today. I hope he keeps improving. Keep us posted.

Angie my first question is were are your veggies? You need to have at least 6 servings a day. That is like a serving size not a can of veggies or anything. You do need to eat more too. Are you measuring your food out? If you aren't you might actually be eating more points than you think. When you start off with points you are already going to be eating less than you wuld normally and as you lose weight you will adjust your points. Then once you hit goal you go into a maintnace phase and your points will go up a little. You bodyis going to be in weight loss mode and you need to fuel it or you will be in starvation mode and not lose like you should. You will lose with the points you are given. I know I thought there is no way I can eat all of that and then you figure out what to eat and before you know it you are hitting those points all the time. I usually save my FP for one meal. I use to use them for one day but I wasn't noticing anything so I switched and it made a big differnece. You need to give your body a break and it will be tricked into letting go of more lbs. Have you looked at the forum here about WW? You probably don't even need to post a question, just read back and you will find out all that you need to know. There is one lady KellyS that posts lots of useful stuff. I would read there and see if you can get a little more info on what you should be eating everyday. I hope this helps you.

melekalikimaka 05-16-2006 03:23 PM

Hey all, I got my morning walk in, nice, hot and sunny here. Lucky is getting used to her backpack (I weighed it down with two bottles of kids bubble soap :bubbles: ). I plan on weighing in this morning and then visiting my dad. He is in for tests this morning so we can't be in the way til the afternoon. I am hoping for more positive news today.

Oh yeah, Dottie's website rocks!

Angie, yes, you should be eating 28 pts per day...and Kempy's right, eat more veggies :carrot: Veggies are FREE meaning no points per serving, esp. if you eat them raw or just lightly steamed without butter. I use the ICBINB lite spray and lots of pepper or garlic powder for seasoning. But watch out for corn and maybe cooked carrots (which taste gross to me), the higher the sugar content in the veggie, the more cals it is bound to have (1 cup serv of corn is 2 pts, carrots are 1). If I'm pressed for time, I eat a whole can (2 serv) of green beans for 1 pt. Make sure you drink all your water too, it helps flush out the fat out of your system and makes your skin all nice and beautiful  As for flex points, I usually use them as a splurge meal like you said, but do it on my WI day, that way, I weigh in, then go eat it. I do lose this way, but it's not like you will show a good loss if you eat your splurge meal the day before you WI, you know what I mean? So there are ways to do it. **You know the way I used to get in all my points in the beginning? I would once in a while have a serving of real, full-fat ice cream, the good kind like Godiva or Haagen Daz or whatever you like. I won't eat the sugar free or fat free yucky tasting stuff even if I can have a lot of it, just eat the real thing, you get all the flavor and a whopping 7 points in. Of course you wouldn't want to do this everyday, but you get the picture. It was unbelievable how much food you actually could eat on this plan if you make good food/point-friendly choices.

Cal, my boy gets out in 10 days, and the last 3 days are 1/2 days! What am I going do to?

jbbm 05-16-2006 05:23 PM

Hi Girls

Noelle sending more prayers and best wishes for your Dad. I hope Michael's eye is doing okay too.

Angie, Noelle and Kempy you girls really got me thinking about WW. I think I need something structured. You all are doing so great.

Dips Hi girl. So how is school, almost done?

Cal that vacation is getting closer by the second.

LadyT glad your are okay. How scary!

Hi Cw and Red.

I have healthy dinner planned of chicken sandwiches, salads and broccoli. Gosh, girls I am sorry I have been absent from here but I feel like I am just running sometimes without time to post. Yesterday dd had a field trip and today ds had one. But I want to post because when I don't I start slacking and missing you all too! I got on my excercise bike this morning and turned on FitTv and worked out with Gilad. I don't think that man ages, lol. We have severe storm coming through right now.

Take care everyone and have a good day!:)

melekalikimaka 05-16-2006 07:31 PM

Hi ladies... Hi Julie  I'm happy to see you around again. No stressing about not posting everyday, you have a life, I understand ;) I hope the storm is easing off real soon for you.

I just got back from my WI, I gained 1.8 lbs. I am disappointed in my lack of progress the past few weeks but not suprised. I am not out of the game though, I needed that WI to get me back on track, out of the pity-party mindset that I was starting to slip into. I am still fighting to get fit! :boxing:

I visited my dad, but no word from the doc yet on exactly what's going on. He needed to rest so I came home. My mom and I will go back later this afternoon when the doc is scheduled to come by again. My dad had breakfast yesterday morning, and that was the last time he ate anything solid. He was grumbling about being hungry, but can't eat until the doc says it's ok... so at least I know he has an appetite. Poor guy, I hate to be starving.

jbbm 05-16-2006 10:50 PM

Noelle thats my girl! Just forget about the little bit of gain and keep your positive attitude that is you! That is a good sign that your Dad has his appetite. I hope he gets something in his tummy soon.

Well ladies I am going to wash my face and get myself into bed. Keep up the great work everyone!

cwneeds2lose 05-17-2006 12:18 AM

Just a quick note to say hello to everyone.

Noelle, I'm praying for a quick recovery for your dad, and for peace for you and your family during this trying time.

Have a good night.

angieME 05-17-2006 10:10 AM

Good Morning everyone!!

Noelle, I hope you got some good news yesterday about your dad. I am glad to hear he has an appetite now. I am sending good vibes your way. :goodvibes

Julie, I know how busy you feel. Starting this week the winter slowdown is officially over and I am back to work 7 days a week....But, when the tourists are here is the only chance to get ahead and save for the winter so I guess it is a necessary evil in order to raise my kids. I can always keep DREAMING of my vacation in December though. :cloud9:

Well, That is about it for me. Have a good day girls.

Good morning all! I got the estimate done on the damage to my car yesterday, it is between $3500 and $5000. *sigh* So I guess I am going to have to involve the insurance. I was really hoping to avoid making a claim.

Noelle - I sure hope your Dad gets some good news today. You and your mom must be so worried. His appetite is a good sign, I hope! As for the weight gain, it could have been worse, right? 1.8 pounds in a couple weeks is *not* too bad!! You'll get those pounds off again, I know it! :carrot:

Angie - 7 days a week thru the summer, eh? I don't know if I could do that! I admire you girl! :)

 Hi everyone else! Hope you're having a good day!

I had to take one of my cats to the vet yesterday. He had a bad infection on one of his hind feet, and would not let me look at it real close. Turns out he has completely seperated one of his claws from the nail-bed, *ouch*! The whole toe is infected, and the toe next to it too. The vet cleaned it out, and says he should be ok now though. I have to keep a pretty close eye on him, poor baby! :(

Hey LT, OUCH! That is alot of damage. I hope you get it fixed fast without too much hassle. Oh Your poor kitty. Do you have any idea how he did that? I hope he heals quickly.

Believe me we are so sick of the donut business but we dont know how we could make the same money and the kids still have 5 years before they are out of the house so we are scared to make any big moves career wise. We are trying to hold on until they are grown and then we can downsize everything and have a bit more normal life{hopefully :lol: }

Geesh, Noelle, I am sorry I missed your weigh in. You did great in my opinion because I could have done way more damage than that. You are getting back on track and it should be gone in a week or so just like it never happened. You still inspire me....even more so now that you are jumping right back on the wagon and are motivated to keep losing.

Hey guys. My weigh in was ok I guess. I am where I was when we left for vacation. I really wanted more gone but I know it is going to be hard now since I don't have much left to go. I do have to say I was VERY good today. I went to Sam's wholesale and didn't buy any kind of junk. I told Joe I could have spent so much money in there. I only left with (food wise) a cantalope, pinapple (fresh), edamame, chicken breast, animal crackers, salsa and a pork loin that I am going to split and freeze. I swear I could have bought the whole case of cheese. That place is so dangerous. Maybe it is b/c I had just weighed in.

LT I wanted to say I hope you are ok. I meant to post that when I read about your spill. I used to ride when I was younger. In fact, I used to jump so I was thrown so many times I can't even count. It still sucks though. Kiss you kitty for me. I hate it when my babies are sick.

Angie how is WW going? I bought the chicken cookbook today and I am going to look at it later today. What I usually do is go through the whole book and dog ear anything that I think soulnds good. Then, once i have goen through them all I will pick a few and Joe and I will try them. I make notes all over the page like if we liked it or if I had to add more veggies or seasoning. I have found so many good things just by doing that. Did you get a chance to check out the WW threads?

Come on Julie you can do WW too. You know we will all help you.

Did we lose Maggz?

Noelle at least you know you can get off that little amount in no time. I think you gave me this speech when I got back from vacation. :D

WooHoo Cal it is almost time!!!

Hey Dips, Red and anyone that I missed.

angieME 05-17-2006 02:47 PM

Hey Kempy, I havent actually started WW yet. I want to wait until I get the books to make it official but I think I got it pretty much figured out. I paid for the stuff with my Paypal by check and I guess now they wait to clear the check for a week so I got word today that it went through and the lady will put them in the mail on Saurday....so they should be here soon. :crossed:

You are doing an awesome job. :carrot: The weight WILL come off for you. I remember the first time I lost all my weight it took me like 3 or 4 months to lose the last 10 pounds.

I know what you mean about Sams Club, whenever we used to shop there I ALWAYS brought home stuff we would never eat normally. And it was always bad for me. Now I have just been getting the basics to get meals done. I have been buying the rite bite cookie packs though. 100 calories and 2 points I think. Plus since it is already weighted out and in individual servings then I know I am wrong to eat more than one.

I got in 2 walks so far today and I know Alicia will want another after supper so hopefully the rain will cooperate. I think each one is a mile so I am doing about 3 miles a day. I still cant bring myself to want to walk around town being this big(and sweaty  ) so I go the woodsy way instead which is shorter but hey at least it gets done right?

Hi ladies. I am in my office trying to drink my coffee to keep me up :coffee: My mom and I went to the hospital last night, my oldest sis and BIL showed up just when we did so I let them visit first, then my other sis came out with my niece. They only allow 2 visitors at a time and no kids under 12... of course there will always be rule breakers. There was this other family with their kids, like 3 or 4 of them all 5 and under, all sitting on the floor next to the bed. Come on now, the hospital is not the cleanest place to be bringing your kids and letting them roll around the floor, not to mention the germs they could pick up or even give to the patients. I can't believe the nursing staff didn't say anything. I took a pic of my dad and let Michael see it, just so he could see what it's like. Still no word yet on exactly what his condition is. His spirits are definitely up, I'm sure they'll be up even further once they give him some solid food. I plan to visit later in the afternoon.

Kempy, you did good with the shopping girl. I know I always wanna buy a humungo bag of potato or corn chips when I go there, and I just have to keep away from the candy aisle where those freakin' honkin' big 3-4 lbs bags of peanut M&M's are. Sorry, I'm starting to visualize....didn't mean to make anyone think about cr@p food like that :^: I just bought 2 pineapples myself, had some for breakfast this morning. Does your Sam's sell the edamame frozen or do they come in trays where the store boils them up themselves? You will get those last 6 lbs off because you WANT that final charm on your keychain. I know I do

LadyT, I'm sorry about your car repair bill, that's gotta hurt. And poor thing about your kitty cat too, poor baby. At least he's got a good owner that looks after him :)

Angie, you sound like you got the WW thing pretty good. I think you will like the books, they'll give you more options to eat out (fast-food wise) instead of just Subway all the time (I'm not knocking Subway at all, just that sometimes I want a more burger-like experience  )

Julie, you can do WW :dancer:, it's easy and it works. Did you watch AI last night? I tried watching while at the hospital but I had to put the subtitles on since I couldn't hear the singing too good....kinda stupid way to watch a singing competition isn't it? So who do you think will take it now? I'm rooting for Taylor :carrot:

Anywho, I've better get crackin' and do some work here. Have a great day all

melekalikimaka 05-17-2006 03:42 PM

p.s. I have failed miserably with my Memorial Day goal of losing 8 lbs...I still have 2 weeks left, but I know I'm not gonna make it.

I'm thinking of setting a new goal for the 4th of July. Anybody want in on a challenge? :chin:
