Here are a couple pics of the inside of the RV because I never got around to posting them. Also here is a pic of The kittens sitting in the window. In the left window is Rebel. I swear he thinks he is a cat.

melekalikimaka 05-09-2006 12:50 PM

well Helllllllooooooo stranger!

 Hi Angie! I'm so happy you came out and made some noise. Honey, I'm so sorry you're having a rough time right now. Everything you said I have felt before, so you make perfect sense. I can't post too much right now because I have some errands to run in town.... I'll be back later to chat more. Love the pics and your RV is beautiful! Candi looks like a mini-Akita with that cute haircut. I really gotta run, sorry so short, but yeah :carrot:, Angie's back. Luv ya babe!

Hi everbody!

jbbm 05-09-2006 02:29 PM

Hi Girls

Angie I am happy to see you. I am sorry you are having a tough time. But I am glad you posted girl. You RV is so nice. How is your weather up there? We have been lucky with nice warm weather but now we have rain and clouds in the forecast for a while.

Noelle how is the ankle? I think I know what you mean, when you just take a step and something feels like it is going to give. My knee will do that every so often.

Cal get those storage bins out and start packing up the class, LOL.....

Maggzs I saw on TV about the miners, I am happy and relieved that they are okay.

My eating is really bad today. I think it is the clouds and rain. Okay I got to blame it on something:^: :D, LOL. But really I made dd her lunch and she didn't want anymore of it and I found myself picking at it. I have to go and find something for my mom. I want to get her something special because she does so much for me. I was thinking a engraved stepping stone for her garden. Not to much else happening with me.

Hi everyone else. I will check back later on. Have a great day!

angieME 05-09-2006 05:35 PM

Thanks guys. I feel so needy. I hate to come here and whine but I was hoping that if I actually said all the things I have been feeling lately then maybe a weight would be lifted off my shoulders and maybe I can get on track and get healthy.

Noelle, What did you do to your ankle? I hope it gets better real soon. Candi is looking a little grubby this afternoon. Jay has been tilling up a spot for a garden and she keeps rooting through it and I think she is eating worms. :nono: So now her whole nose is brown and dirty. She is such a pig.

Julie, It is pretty nice up here today but it has been off and on with the sun and warmth. One day too hot and the next day run the furnace. You know what I mean.

I want to get in another walk but I just got done with work and am in the process of making supper now. Shake & bake chicken with chicken rice and cauliflower. Maybe the kids will go with me after supper. I hate to make Jay do it because he has been working so hard lately.

Oh I dont know if I told you guys this but I found a place on ebay that makes ceramic urns for your pets. It is a cat sleeping on a rock with angel wings. Well, I ordered one and she had me email her pics of Tinky and she painted him to look just like him. I got it last week in the mail and it is so pretty. She did a great job. So now my Tinky is on my computer desk.

Here is Tinky and his urn. She did good huh?

cwneeds2lose 05-09-2006 05:40 PM

Hi Angie,

I read your post and had to respond. I think every person that's had/has a weight problem can relate to what you're going through. IT's the "all or nothing" mentality. Once you've blown it, it's all over. I know, I'll do well for a long time, and then I'll lose control and eat everything in sight. This last episode of losing control has lasted three years. Now, I'm having the hardest time getting it off, so I decided to work on one bad habit at a time. Unfortunately, there's wwaaayyy toooo many bad habits to work on all of them together.

Angie, you need to remember also that your worth is not in your size. It's in who you are. What's inside of you. That's what your wonderful husband sees. I know, because I can be/feel the grossest ever, and my husband will tell me how beautiful I am. Believe in yourself, Angie. I now sometimes it's hard. When you wake in the morning (and all day if you have to) repeat "I BELIEVE IN MYSELF". Okay, now repeat after me: "I believe in myself. I believe in myself." That's great. I've been reading a book by Shad Helmsteder called "The Gift". It works on all those things. Get rid of the stinkin' thinkin' and replace it with good positve thoughts.

I'm sorry for being so long winded, but I can feel your pain, and these are just a few of the things that have helped me. I'll be praying for you.

Hello to everyone else, and I hope you're having a great day.

angieME 05-09-2006 05:54 PM

Thank you CW. That is good advice. I definately have the all or nothing mentality. I will work on that.

I am not sure we have met so here is a little about me.

I am 33 and a married mom to 3 kids ages 12,12 and 14. My husband and I have a bakery at our house where we make donuts and pastries for my MIL bakery and the surrounding convenience stores in our area. I have been posting here forever with these girls.

LadyTyger 05-09-2006 06:46 PM

Hi all!

Angie - We haven't really ' met' yet, but I read your post this morning, and have been thinking about it all day really. I think you have done the right thing by posting. The reality is, this is what the forum, and thread are all about. So we can cheer each others sucesses, and help one another through the though spots. Today you feel you have given up. That is OK. You might feel the same way tomorrow. But one day you will feel like giving it another chance. One thing you can count on is that the ladies who have supported you through giving up, will cheer you on the loudest when you give it another go! I'm not trying to come across as preachy, or anything. I just want you to know that I have felt similar to what you are feeling, and probably will again. I think it helps to know that you are accepted for who you are, not what you weigh. That is the feeling I get by posting here, even though it has only been for a few days. I hope that helps:?: And here is a  to cheer you up!

I love the memorial you got for Tinky, she did a fantastic job!

Noelle - I hope your ankle is feeling better! :?:

Julie - An engraved stepping stone for the garden sounds like a great Mother's Day gift! And "Hi!"

cal - What book are you reading with your class? My uncle is an elementary/junior high school principal, I know he is *counting* the days until the end of his school year! LOL!

cw - I think your post to Angie was awesome, and don't worry about the few brownies. It was a "whoopsie"! :)

Hi to everyone else! I haven't done anything much exciting today to post about... <sigh>

melekalikimaka 05-09-2006 07:07 PM

Hey ladies, I guess I'm done running around for the afternoon. *sigh* Finally a moment to breathe! Well, I flaked out on my weigh-in today...partly because of work, but mostly because I know I am up a few pounds . (I know I'm a hyprocrite  ) I am not yet in the "giving up" mentality though, so fear not  I may go in on Saturday to WI, but if not, I'll be back there Tuesday. My ankle is still gimpy, it's more swollen than it was yesterday but I'm keeping it wrapped with a neoprene brace during the day. I don't know what it is or how it happened, I just know that this "sprain" has happened twice before for no reason--other than I weigh too much and my joints and everything are just taking a beating. It's weird though, because it "feels" better than it did yesterday. I'm supposed to help out with a school fun-run thing tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll be up for it.

Angie, that was a great pep-talk you got from cw  I know we have all felt the way you do, and I do hope that by getting it off your chest you feel so much better. We really miss you when you're not around  If it's any consolation at all to ya, I've not been doing so well myself ;). I love that urn, it's really nice and personal. It looks just like Tinky  I will have to remember that ebay seller.

LadyT, I have to give you props for your exercise weekend :bravo:. I had to laugh at your instructor's description of how "done" you are when training...what does she think you are, a steak? I'm not laughing at you, just at the visual of your description. I think it's so great that you can do this horse riding thing with your family, it sounds like a lot of fun.

Julie, trying not to eat your kids' l.o.'s is really hard--especially if it's like chicken nuggets (for me!) or something like that. Thanks for the reminder about Mother's Day, I've got to get something as well.

Cal, you didn't have to correct yourself (re: heathens)...we know exactly what you meant :D

Dips, are you tied up with finals? Good luck with that, I know you'll do great!

Kempy, what's shakin' with you girl?

Maggzs, I was so happy for the 2 miners that got rescued, walking out, no less. It was such a long, drawn out process but at least it had a positive outcome.

angieME 05-09-2006 07:48 PM

Me and Alicia just got back from a walk. I have taken 2 walks a day yesterday and today. Yesterday I did so well and then a commercial came on with chocolate chip cookies and since we have a bakery just sitting there I caved and made cookies...but at least I got in some exercise I guess.

LT, Hi  Thanks for the kind words. I know what I need to do it is just the doing it that seems to be teasing me. These girls are my best friends in the whole world. I love them all. You have definately got the right feeling about them, they are the best. I look forward to getting to know you and CW as well.

Noelle, My knee used to do what your ankle is doing. I hate it when that happens. I havent had that happen for along time though. You have been doing such an awesome job with your weightloss. I want you to know how proud of you I am. You are my inspiration

Dips'n'twists 05-09-2006 10:35 PM

Hey My GURLZ Wassuuuuuppp!!

Everything is sweet! Angie is back (WHAT UP GIRL!) Whe got some new people and school is out. HOLLLAAAA!

Angie- You know my blood pressure goes up when you disappear like that! I missed you girl. **** yeah I am gonna tell you not to give up. You will beat this weight. We all will. We will fail many times before we succeed, that's life. You still inspire me no matter what size you are. Remember I was there with you when you got to goal I saw the picture and I rooted for you and I'll be ready to root for you again once you get back to your goal and together we'll make sure you stay there! It's worth it Angie. Get back on that horse baby!

CW & LT- Here is my very late intro: I am a 24 yr old New Yorker, The baby of the crew for like 3 years running YEAH!I am single with no kids but I have a Yorkie named Niko and he's quite the handfull. I work and attend school full time (so I'm in and out a lot)These girls are my world and I feel blessed to have met them. I hope you guys will stay and become one of my special friends as well (so sappy, I know) Seriously, though I welcome you with open arms and I look forward to getting to know you both.

Kempy- Don't sweat those little pounds. You were on vacation girl! It was worth it. You are still a hottie and you'll get right back on track so forget about those pounds already.

Noelle- You know as well as I do that sometimes those pesky pounds have bungee cords that pull them right back up after we think we've lost them. Don't worry! Look how much you've accomplished, you'll be fine just like Kempy and angie will!

J- What's happening babe! Haven't heard from you in forever. Let's catch up

Cal- Classes are officially over now but we have to go back next week for finals. We get a whole week to study WooHoo

Red- I swear I will never wait til the last minute to do a term paper. Just meeting a deadline is enough to give you heart probelems. I know YOU knwo what I mean! Hope all is well with you

Maggz- How's it going. Good to see you

I have been so active. I did the Revlon walk for breast cancer and I'm going to do the aids walk on the 21st. I also started my belly dancing lessons :belly: OH MY GOODNESS I love this class. What an exotic form of dance. I am totally hooked. I saw by july I'll be a hot tamale! I must say it is hard though! that is a serious workout for your hips and abs but boy do you look good doing it. We had guys bunched up at the door window drooling all over themsleves it was fabulous! I gotta take pics one of these days so you girls can see me in action!

Okay, gotta cook dinner. 2 more days until I eat meat again! I tell you I am on a higj right now! :cloud9:

calnative 05-10-2006 01:55 AM

Just a quick post then off to bed.

Angie: I'm so glad you're back. I echo the sentiments of the others. I sometimes feel so much like a failure that I don't want to post, but it's so important to me to stay in contact; I really don't have many friend here...not away from school anyway. I really cherish the friends I have on this thread. You are beautiful...I met you and found out what a truly blessed person you are. You'll get back to goal; I have no doubt.

LadyT: We're reading "Across Five Aprils". I read it every year at this time. I collaborate with the Social Studies teacher and the kids do a huge project about the causes and effects of the Civil War; the book is historical fiction and follows a family through the war. I enjoy doing this because for the the last 5-6 weeks of school, the kids do most of the work and I get to rest. I tell the kids at the start of 4th quarter that the first 3 quarters were just practice...now they're going to work!!:D

Noelle: I hope your ankle is feeling better. Take care of yourself.

Hello to everyone else.
Goodnight.

Cal

Kempyd 05-10-2006 09:41 AM

YEAH ANGIE IS BACK!! I was worried about you girl. As were all of us. Don't you give up. You keep grabbing onto the back of that wagon and the ones of us that are still on will pull you back on. You know that you can always count on us. You have been so strong for me when I was down and now it is you that is in need. So, don't even give up! I am just glad that you have come back to be with us.

I am sorry I was MIA. After this weekend I have been kind of busy. The termite guy was here Monday and yesterday I had the worlds worst headache so I stayed away form the puter. I bought an elliptical and it is a POS. I am sending it back today, at least as soon as I can box it back up. That should be fun to see. I should have never bought something that I couldn't get on first. Oh well, you live and learn. I ma about to do my weigh in at home so we will see what is up in that department.

I am so glad to see new faces. We always have fun here and the more the merrier.

Ok, sorry so short but I need to get in touch with this company and see what I have to do to ship this thing back. I will be back later.

angieME 05-10-2006 11:27 AM

Good Morning. I have to tell you guys that I had a dream that I woke up and ate a chocolate cake donut with peanut butter dip on it. It is funny because I dont even make the peanut butter dip anymore. And also because I woke up and it was one of those real dreams where after I woke up I actually thought I did eat it!!

It is rainy and cold here today. Jay got to sleep in this morning which is good because we are going to be putting in so many more hours right off. I think we will be super busy this year with all the extra work. I am not looking forword to the 7 day weeks but I am looking forword to paying my bills off and ahead.

Dips, Hey girl!! So you like your dance lessons huh? You rock...even if I had the bod I dont think I would dare to do it in front of others. I think it looks so neat when people do it too.

Cal, Hey. Wow your vaca is coming right up. My kids get out on June 16 and that is too soon for me. Brit is going on dishpan duty at my MIL bakery to earn some money for a car when she gets her license. I told them that what they save we will match towards a car. She is starting high school this coming year. WOW!! I still look at them as little kids and they aren't.

Kempy, That sucks. I hope you can send it back. I sold my old (new) bike because it was too big for my livingroom and I liked my little cheap one better. I sold my elliptical too for the same reasons. Now I just have my treadmill and my original recumbent bike. How do you do weight watchers? I looked online and they only have one meeting around here and it is once a week at 6:00 at night. There is no way I could do that especially during the summer when we get busy. Do they have an online version of it where you can get the same basics as a class and can learn about points etc. ? If they dont then they should.

Well, I should go try to jump on the bike for a while and maybe it will stop raining when the kids get home so I can make Alicia walk with me. I took just Candi for a walk yesterday and I felt like I was walking a damn donkey because she would just stop in the middle of the road and stare at me and refuse to move. I had to keep saying "where is the squirrel?" the whole way and back just to keep her moving.

I have had cereal and milk this morning and I plan on a Tuna sandwich and wow chips for lunch; banana for snack; and terriyaki chicken with baked potato and green beans for supper. Yesterday I stayed on track all day as well.

Kempyd 05-10-2006 12:06 PM

Angie I know you can do WW on line. I really don't know much about what they teach you but if you get the packet of info I am sure that Noelle, Cal or myself can help you with whatever it is that you need. I really like it b/c I can eat whatever Joe is eating as long as I count my points. I have learned lots of neat things to cook too. It has gotten us out of the rut with eating the same things over and over. You might be able to get the packet of stuff off of ebay. Don't quote me on that, I am not sure what people are allowed to sell on there in regards to licensed stuff like WW. You would just weigh in at home instead of at a meeting. You do that anyways. See, you are on the right track as we speak.

Dips I meant to say that my mom used to take belly dancing classes when I was little and she loved it. I used to play with her skirt and those finger thingys. That is cool that you have such an aray of things to do up there. We relaly don't have a choice of workouts down here. It is a small town afterall.

I am going to go thumb through some cookbooks and see if I can find something to cook for dinner. I'll pop on later.

LadyTyger 05-10-2006 12:39 PM

Well, it's Wednesday! I'm hoping to have a better day then yesterday. I was great eating and exercise wise... But my hubby and I had an argument. And I'm feeling pretty down in the dumps, because I have been applying for jobs, and not getting them. Worse I'm not even getting *interviewed* for them. :( Well, anyways, like I said, today is a new day.

Angie - I have had those dreams where it seems so real, you believe it actually happened. One time I had a dream that my DH said something *really* nasty to me. I woke up and it was so vivid in my memory, I pinched him. He woke up screaming blue murder, and asking why I'd done that... I told him "You said..." Well he told me he hadn't, and when I really thought about it I realized it was a dream, and had to make it up to him...

cal - Nothing wrong with making the kids do the work, especially close to the end of the year. I think that is much better than letting them slack off! Plus it will make them appreciate their summer break that much more, right? :D

Dips - Woohoo! Belly dancing! I have heard before that it is a great workout! Not for me though. I have too much belly, it does a jiggly dance all on it's own! Heehee! :^:

Noelle - I hope the ankle starts to heal up soon!! Don't worry about weigh in too much, after all you're "walking wounded"! :)

Kempy - Hi! It's good to meet ya. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

Well I'm off to get some more job applications in, and clean my pigsty... oops, I mean house! :D Have a great day, ladies!

melekalikimaka 05-10-2006 02:05 PM

Hey all, I have to hit the office and get my payroll started....but I think I will sneak away a little early so I can get some laundry done. I have a washing machine at the shop but no dryer, otherwise, I would bring ALL my dirty laundry to work with me  I don't think I'm going to help out at the school fun run today, I don't think I can move fast enough on my feet today. Oh well...there's always next year.

LadyT, it's been such a long time since I've had to apply for jobs and wait wait wait. It's hard to anticipate and then if no one calls, you just get that rejected feeling. Keep your spirits up and don't take it personally. There's got to be the right job for you, one that you will love and not just do because you have to. What line of work are you looking for?

Angie, I think if you sign up for WW online you get the points slider (counter tool) and I would think the basic food list book, which shows the point value of foods. I know they have a weight tracker, a menu planner and a points calculator online once you subscribe. I think you will also find that you are able to eat a lot more food (good for you kind of things) than you think you can..I know when I started WW, i was allowed 28 pts initally, and I had a hard time eating all my points. I think between Kempy, Cal, me and cw, we could help you out if you aren't able to get to a meeting nearby. :sssh: we sound like a secret cult don't we? **that's funny about Candi and her squirrel. With our dogs it's where's rat-rat? :mouse:

Kempy, did you get your elliptical locally? I hope you don't have too much trouble returning it. I bought mine from Sports Authority a few years back and some inner bolts keep coming loose. I don't even use it anymore, not that I did much then. I use it as a foot rest while I'm playing Xbox--seriously!

Dips, you and your belly dancing will get you a new man in no time flat ;)

Julie, did ya catch AI last night? I saw bits and pieces of it, I wasn't impressed. I don't like Elvis all that much anyway... I can't wait til it's over. This season has been terrible.

Well, I gotta run for now. I'll be back later....hi to all

angieME 05-10-2006 02:44 PM

I have a quick question. Which points calculator do you guys think is the best one? I have been on ebay and they have great prices on the weight watchers kits so I may get them and try this at home for a while.

Kempyd 05-10-2006 02:50 PM

What do you mean which points calculator? The paper and the actual calculator? I have the paper one and it is easier to bring with me to the store. I know poeple who have both and I don't think it really matters.

Noelle I bought the thing on line and now I have to pay for shipping back. That sucks but at least I will get my money back. Now I just have to take it apart. Let me rephrase that, Joe has to take it apart.

Off to the library and the store be back in a bit.

melekalikimaka 05-10-2006 03:12 PM

Angie, i have/had (I don't know where it is at the moment) the points calculator that looks like a checkbook size calculator. It will track your points for the day as well as your water intake, and you can use it like a regular calculator. I think they all do pretty much the same thing, it just depends on which year it came out. I know there is a smaller, handheld type that looks (to me) like a remote control.

**I just looked at ebay and think the best deal for your money would be the 2006 calculator with the two books (Dining out companion and complete food list book--these are your bibles!) In reality, the cardboard points slider is the most convenient I think, along with the two books. The calculator is nice to have and keep in your purse, but I really use the cardboard one the most.

You know, I wonder if you would be able to go to a center near you and just go for an orientation meeting, and buy the kit yourself? It would probably be cheaper going there yourself, rather than buying it off ebay and having to pay shipping....I don't know if they'll sell it to a non-member though. Have you looked at the official WW website for their "at-home" kits?

melekalikimaka 05-10-2006 03:17 PM

**OMG Kempy, did you see on ebay someone listed a cardboard points slider and the bids are up to $10.50!

cwneeds2lose 05-10-2006 11:36 PM

Hi everyone,

Yes, you can go to any WW meeting place and purchase anything without joining. That would be the best best. I'm not too keen on buy electronics on ebay. To get the program itself, I would get that from WW online. Or, you can do what a lot of people do, join your local WW for one time to get the program, and not go back. However, I've always been a firm believer of attending meetings, but if you can't do that, then online is the next best thing. Have a good evening.

Dips'n'twists 05-11-2006 12:18 AM

Hey Babes...

What's good, Neighbors??

Noelle- Funny you should mention meeting men. I actually have met someone. We've just been talking so far, getting to know one another. Anyways, tonight he asked me if there was anything he could do to make me automatically call off any type of future relationship with him and immediately I got flashbacks of my last almost boyfriend. {Remember my Mini-man...okay now stop laughing} Anyways, all signs point to good; he's tall with a nice build and wears 11s. Still, I will be sure to see the sneak preview before the show. ;)

Angie- Baby I am so psyched for you. Everyone seems to be rocking and rolling with WW. Plus it's something you all can work through together! This should be interesting. By the way, I had a few of those almost-like-reality dreams. Oddly enough I have had dreams where I sample some junk food then I wake up all guilty and then once I realize it was just a dream, I'm pissed that I didn't eat the whole damn thing!

Kempy- I try to imagine what it would be like to grow up or even live in small town. I don't think I'm built for it. There does seem to be a more holesome and friendly feel in those kinds of towns though {unless you go to kentuky or alabama where some small towns aren't too neighborly to my kind} Other than that, I like passing through them.

Lady T- You are a funny girl. Hope you made up with the hubby. Fighting is such a drag. Whatever it was though, I bet you were right anyway ;)

Hey CW- Hope all is well with you.

You too Cal. Cherie WHERE YOU AT GIRL!!??

Okay off to bed now. CIAO!

redballoon 05-11-2006 07:02 AM

"...and wears 11s..." !!!!! You are too much, Dips!!!

Dips'n'twists 05-11-2006 08:18 AM

I'm tellin you Red, you gotta check out the signs, girl. And even then you can't be one hundred percent certain! So the key is to check the merchandise before you take it home.:D You know I'll keep you posted, stay tuned. He's picking me up this morning to take me to work

angieME 05-11-2006 09:26 AM

Morning everyone. I got in my 30 minutes on my bike yesterday and then last night before dark me,Jay and Alicia went for a walk.

I am planning ahead for this weekend. Corey said he was going to make me something for Mothers Day and I told him not to cook me breakfast. I said my best present would be for him and the girls not to argue that day. I said if they irritate you then just walk away. We are going to buy a couple lobsters and I will make lobster spaghetti. That is a great meal because I actually get 2 meals out of one lobster that way. So I have a delicious low fat meal for Saturday and Sunday.

CW, Hey whats up today? I found a few things on ebay for books. I went to their websight and boy they are expensive for the kits. I will keep my eye out until I can get a good deal.

Dips, Got a new Man? WOOHOO!!! Sneak preview.  All I can picture is you standing there saying "drop Em"

Noelle that slider went for $11.00. I found 2 going off at the same time so I bid like $5.26 on the first one and me and Jay went into the bedroom to watch tv. I waited too long to come check it and it ended before I could watch it. So it ended up that some one outbid me on the first one and then he got the second one for 1.35!!!! I am still addicted to ebay though. Did I tell you that I bought some nice copper kitchen canisters from there for the RV? They looked like crap when they came but I spent the week cleaning and shining them up and they are perfect now. I am trying to find another set for my sis for her new house for Christmas. You can actually see the canisters and the potpourri pot in the rv pics I posted...up above the fridge.

Kempy, How much did shipping cost for you to send the elliptical back?

I should go take Rebel for a walk while it is dry out. I hate doing it alone. I am always afraid I will see a bear.

melekalikimaka 05-11-2006 12:08 PM

Hi ladies, just popping in before I get to work.

Dips, here's a pic of those guys checking y'all out through the window at bellydance class -----> :goodvibes:  :whoo: :belly: :belly: :belly:
Hmmm, size 11's are a nice and respectable size  And enjoy the ride to work ;)

Angie, you are doing great with the exercise girl. I gotta get my butt moving again. I think I'll try and get a walk in this morning. The ankle is still bothering me some, but at least I'm not limping anymore. CW says you can go to a WW center and just purchase those books, last time I checked, the binder with the 2 books were around $25-30. This doesn't come with the points slider but you know what? There are a few websites out there that have a free online calculator that you can figure out points with. I'll let you know if I can find one... Besides, some centers offer free resgistration a lot of the time, you just pay for the meeting fee that day, around $14 today, you'll get your points slider and the initial week one book, you can buy your other books (like in the starter kit), and not go back. Whatever you choose to do, I think you'll like it.

Hi to everyone. i'll be back later....

LadyTyger 05-11-2006 12:13 PM

Good morning, girls! Hope you are all feeling good this morning!

Noelle - I love your new avatar! Too cute and funny! :D I am not sure exactly what I'm looking for, in terms of a job. Which is part of the problem. I applied for a position as a zoo attendant at the local zoo here, which I am really excited about. I haven't heard anything though, and the job status on their site sill just says screening, so I'm hopeful. :crossed:

Angie - Good work on the exercise girl! I haven't even got myself up to 30 mins of exercise yet, unless I'm riding... Then I love it so much, I don't notice the time passing! I am addicted to ebay too. Can't go very often, temptation is too great.

Dips - LOL! Mini-Man? Dare I ask? Hmmmm Better not! Not to scare you though, but I dated a guy that wore sz 13!!!! shoes and was, well, less than well-endowed. Way less. In fact, I think mini might have been a generous description...

Kempy - I *hate* it when you order something and it's crap, and then *you* have to pay to send it back! Though, at least you can return it, and it wasn;t a final sale, or anything!

Hope everyone has a good day!

melekalikimaka 05-11-2006 03:30 PM

LadyT, I'm wishing you good luck on getting that job at the zoo. I would love being around animals too. Isn't that avatar funny? I got it in an email from a friend, and well, I used to be a sucker for Paul Stanley

Angie, I wanted to say that I love your new quote--I actually have that on the wall in my office. It wasn't in reference to dieting at all though, it was for coming into work the next day when I first started working for myself

angieME 05-11-2006 04:07 PM

I got my walk in and no bears. haha  I think it helps to be worried about them because once I get past the last house and into the woods and fields I actually pick up my pace. I have only seen like 3 bears in my whole life but I figure if I ever did run into one it would be while I am walking alone. I am an idiot I know.

LT, What would you be doing at the zoo? I love animals too. When we go on vacation we go to Seaworld every year. I just cant get sick of it. I love to see all the animals and you can pet most of them. I have 3 dogs and 6 cats right now. Good Luck I hope you get the job.

Noelle, I found that quote on a thread here and I figured it fit me so well. I ALWAYS lay in bed at night and reflect on what I should do the next day dietwise.....I bet it works well for work too.

Dips'n'twists 05-11-2006 11:59 PM

Hey Babes!

Angie- I was sooooo tempted to ask to see it when he picked me up this morning but I decided against it. I'll find out when the time is right-say...this weekend. I'll let you know what's up (or down) Whatever Until then he is NOT my new man. He's my new possible man :D
BTW Good luck on finding all the supplies you need to get your WW on. And don't feel bad about the bear paranoia. I would be scared as well. Good for you for being brave enought o walk anyway.

Noelle- You Crack Me UP! That was exactly what those guys looked like peeking through the window. Oh My Goodness, you hit the nail on the head! You know something funny?? I didn't even notice the Kiss theme in your avatar until Lady T complimented it. She's right, it's so cute. That is so like you :)

Lady T- Let me fill you in. I had been dating this really cool guy for like a month when I discovered during a night of making out that he was a little short in the nether region. So I dumped him while having Noelle, J, Kempy and everyone else laugh at me. This had never hasppened to me before but just to be safe from here on out I gotta inspect to make sure the guy "measures up" Damn, sorry about your experience. A size 13?? And he wasn't packing?? I definately have to check the situation out. Thw worst thing is to find out when you're in bed ready to do the do. I won't make THAT mistake!

Well he's coming over tonight so we may have a discovery by morning ;)

WISH ME LUCK:crossed:

cwneeds2lose 05-12-2006 01:30 AM

Hello everyone,

you guys are soooo funny. I'm don't think I've laughed so hard all day regarding the size thingy(lol). I'm still giggling as I'm typing. tooo funny. You can't always check out the size of the feet and fingers. I do agree, that sometimes you will be a little (pardon the pun) disapointed.

I can't belive that slides are going for such a high price on ebay. I know I have at least two slides from every year from the time they came out with the points system. I should check into that.

I hope you've all had a blessed day today. I probably won't be able to pop in tomorrow, as I'm going to Six Flaggs with my daughter's 8th grade class.:dizzy: I can hear the funnel cakes calling my name already. I think my no sugar is going to not go so well tomorrow.

Have a good day tomorrow everyone.

angieME 05-12-2006 08:53 AM

Good Morning Ladies!!! I got my points slider last night for 2.25!! :cheer: I had to stay up and put my bid in in the last minute but I got it!!! haha

Dips, Good Luck with your new Possible man. I hope he measures up. :nose: :crossed: (sorry it was the best smiley I could find.  )

CW, Have fun at Six Flaggs today. Good Luck resisting the funnel cakes. I am a cotton candy girl myself. We had a husky growing up and we used to love bringing our cotton candy home after the fair so we could feed it to him. He always looked so confused when it would melt on his tongue.

Kempy, Whats shakin today?

Julie, How are you doing this week? Is your son getting excited that school is almost over for this year?

Cal, Are you getting excited that school is almost over?

Noelle, I watched house hunters last night and they made everyone take off their shoes before they toured the houses because they said it was a tradition. Do you guys do that too? If so what does it signify? I make people take their shoes off but it was because we bougt this house brand new and I didnt want everyone ruining the carpets. Now it is just habit.(Although the dogs bring in so much dirt that I cant keep up with it. )

LT, Have you received any news on the zoo job yet? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. :goodluck:

Red, Hi  How are you doing? Did your cats eye heal up okay?

Well, I gotta go get in something for a workout before I go grocery shopping.

angieME 05-12-2006 11:05 AM

I just won my bid on the 2 books, weight trakker and black case. So now I think I have everything I need...right? Is there anything else that you would all recommend?

I got in 30 minutes on my bike and now I am hoping that it stops raining sometime this afternoon so that I can squeeze in a walk.

I hope everyone has a great day today!

melekalikimaka 05-12-2006 03:29 PM

Good morning/afternoon everyone. Well, I up and made myself go for a walk. OMG my ankle is hurting like a b*tch! :censored: I was stupid and went the whole 3.5 miles. Uphill was a battle, but downward was a little easier. What usually takes me about an hour and ten, took me an hour and a half. This is the first walk I've taken since Sunday morning though, and my eating has been out of control. I have got to get ahold of myself though> I'm not giving up!!! :kickbutt: :kickbutt: :kickbutt: I am icing my ankle and hoping I can ease back into my routine. I know I shouldn't have gone the whole way today, but that's just me...a glutton for punishment.

Angie, congrats on your wins. I know you will love them. I think the only thing you will need is a little notebook to keep your food journal in (to keep track of your points per day). I know the weight will start falling off once you start--I know I am always amazed at how fast it is in the beginning. It's keeping at it that's a problem for me. I am having somewhat of a slump, but it's sort of different this time. Even though I'm slacking off somewhat, my mindset is not defeated like the last time(s).... do you know what i mean? But I think with everyone getting revved up to lose again, it should make it that much easier for me to get going again. :crossed:

cw, have fun for me! I wish I was riding a roller coaster screaming my head off right now  I guess going on a trip like that with a bunch of 8th graders isn't so bad. They can wander off by themselves and then meet up with you later. Oh yeah, stay away from the funnel cakes....I have never eaten one in my life, but they sure do smell good. Just last month at our county fair I was trying to get my hubby to buy one, but he bought me some roasted corn instead. I was a little miffed but I know it was the better choice...plus the corn was great too.

Dips you  :goodluck: tonight We will be waiting on the word.

Hi to LadyT, Cal, Julie, Kempy, Maggzs.........and everyone. have a great day.

Dips'n'twists 05-12-2006 06:48 PM

The Verdict Is IN!!

Okay, so he came over last night and I got a peek at the package. He's definately bedroom material :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: What a relief! Now I have to find out over the next few weeks if he's boyfriend material. I enjoy his company though so we'll see where this goes.

Angie- So you seem like you're all good to go. You should be well on your way now. Hope the rain cleared for you.

Noelle- Slow down, Killer! Don't ruin your ankle, girlie. I know you want to be gun ho about this whole thing but take care of yourself.

CW- OOOoohh. Six Flaggs!! I love that place. Heard they got a new coaster there this season. Just one funnel cake for you, okay? Personally, I can't stand "carnival food" Never really appealed to me (thank goodness)

LT- What's the word on the gig at the zoo? Hope you get it. If all else fails there's a heck of a zoo at Noelle and Angie's houses.

J- I'm looking for you out there...

Kempy- Where you hiding today!

I'm feeling a little under the weather. I'm going to take a few shots of NYQuil and call it a night. Ciao!

redballoon 05-12-2006 07:07 PM

Hi guys. In between paragraphs here trying to churn out yet another damn boring story, well, I'm not trying to turn out a boring story but that's the way it's looking. When you got little to start with, you end up with about the same...
anyhow, no time to read back on posts, but just felt like a distraction from the press release doldrums... :stress: I am dreaming of relaxing by doing something simple like lifting weights. God, I want a workout!

dips, what a relief, eh?!?! I think to save time, you should just line 'em up, tell 'em to strip down and do a check, kind of like a police lineup or what a modeling agency would do. No beating around the bush...ah...NO pun intended....anyhow, glad you get down to the business of finding out whether he's boyfriend material. Would I have such worries as you... :^:...and dips, you forgot MY zoo here with the four felines and the horse...well, she's not IN my room, but still you can go see her...makes me miss her just to think of it. How I would like to have her nearby. I suppose I should have my own barn with hired workers....gotta get rich first.

angie, the cat's eye is ok I guess. It's hard to tell as it just is...I mean, the eyeball is in the socket (sorry to gross anyone out) but there is no lens, so I guess it's like an open hole. Whether that is dangerous or not, I don't know. So far it seems to tear only a little and does not look infected or red. I wish I had a good vet to go to but I have no money and she hasn't even had any shots....oh well....at least she's alive...

Anyhow, back to work. I have to finish this, shower and get in to the office today and I don't feel good. Full moon boogie always screws around with me....big race tomorrow, gotta go to that....I just need sleep.

Hello to everyone else, Noelle and cal and jbbm and Kempy and anyone who has slipped the sieve. Ciao! Oh, that reminds me, I was in an Irish pub some weeks ago, met a woman from Switzerland whose English wasn't all that good. Me, being drunk, said to her she could speak German if she wanted. I used to sound like a native but haven't spoken in years and so the only way I do is if I'm drunk and the other person is not good in English. Anyhow, the words flowed and just yesterday I got an email routed through the newspaper from this woman saying if I wanted to get together for more German conversation she was still in Tokyo. Cool! A chance to speak the old lingo...now just to get drunk enough....ah, nothing like some delicious Weissbiers...I'll have to search out a German place, not the flat Irish and English stuff sold at this Irish joint, which is a very crazy place with live bands and wacko mix of Japanese and foreign customers....okay, blah, blah, blah, back to the work!! :drill:

angieME 05-13-2006 08:56 AM

Good Morning! I lost 6 pounds of bloat this week so that is encouraging and I have my meals all planned out for the next week so I should be good to go. Me,Alicia and Brit went walking last night....in the rain. It was actually nice to do and now I have no excuse just because it is raining!!

Noelle, I hope your ankle is feeling better this morning. Dont overdo it girl. You are my hero if that means anything. You keep me wanting to come back and try to lose this weight again with how awesome you have been doing this time around. I KNOW you will get to your goal!!

Dips,WOOHOO!!!! I am glad he didnt disappoint you. I hope you are feeling better today.

Red, I hope you and your new friend have a great time together. You deserve to have some fun, you have been working so hard.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

angieME 05-13-2006 10:03 AM

Oh my god you guys I let the dogs out to go pee this morning and when I went to make them come back in(because Rebel has dug himself a little hole to go find daddy) I kept trying to get Rebel in and must have missed Puddin sneek out. (She is NOT allowed outside) So anywho Reb comes in and I am on the puter when I hear Puddin squeek(she sounds like a guineau pig) and couldnt figure out where she was. She was standing out on the deck in front of the sliders trying to get back in!!! I cant imagine if she had of wandered off, I wouldnt know where she was!! Phewww.

Me and Alicia got in a walk first thing this morning.

melekalikimaka 05-13-2006 02:48 PM

Hi guys, I'm off to sign up my kid for a summer program, then buy some new uniforms for next year since they have a sale going on. Exciting huh? Not! I tried my best to stay OP yesterday, didn't get breakfast going til about 11 so I had a grilled chix salad from McD's, then I went to a "tea party" at the school where they had a Mother's Day program and all kinds of junk food. I had a small turkey finger sandwich, a chocolate covered brownie and some cheetos ... and the only thing they had to drink was this ice cream sherbet/guava juice/soda concoction which was LOADED with sugar but tasted good--I only had half a glass.....but then I think all that sugar triggered me. We went out to dinner at a hamburger joint, which was great....ate my fries then an ice cream dessert. Burp! But I am trying again today *sigh* I have got to get my butt weighed in again at WW so I can guilt myself into staying OP. Make me go on Tuesday guys OK? I won't be surprised if I put on 5 lbs over the last 2 weeks. What a pig I've been. Oh well, no more pity party for me, just suck it up and soldier on. :running:

Angie, GREAT JOB on those 6 lbs!!! If I don't watch out, you're gonna catch me up and then pass me. ;) Seriously, you are back on it girl. I'm glad your pup (and your pep!) came back without any problems.

Hey Red :D. That is a neat story about meeting that Swiss woman at the bar. Danke schoen is about all I know in German  Have fun at the race!

So Dips, I take it your new man is more than a handful huh?  I hope you got some rest, Nyquil always does the trick for me. :faint:

Yo Kempy! How's it going? Do you still have the cute yellow pup?

Hey Julie, Cal, Maggzs, cw, Cherie....and everyone, have a great weekend.
