  • We actually had a really nice (and sugar free!!!) Easter. We painted eggs, I went to church, we had a barbeque, and we just played outside almost all day! The weather was gorgeous.. it was just impossible to stay in.

Ok, now that I really think about it, part of a chocolate bunny's head has been eaten, but I think that's it.

Lent was over, but I find that I got used to eating less carbs over the last 40 days, so I decided to see how far I could go with this whole little or no carb thing. So there's no pressure, just a curiosity. Kind of fun.

Have a great day, ladies! Today I have 3 points (water-yuck!)

    Lee Ann
  • Back on track today - 4 points for yesterday. I can do this if I put my mind to it. Back to 155 on scale this morning so not too much damage. Took the time to schedule dentist, doctor and mammogram for myself so I'll be in good shape to take care of my husband.

DH has another sore on his foot. It just scares the ... out of me. Tried all day to call the doctor but couldn't get through so I sent them a fax. Hopefully someone will call me back.

I'm down to 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day and maybe a cup of tea and at least 64 ounces of water - some days more. I just like a slice of lemon. If you think you don't like water be sure to try it icy, or at room temperature or even warm before you give up. Never know what might click. My DH nephrologist keeps emphasizing drink plain water so your kidneys don't have to filter out other stuff.

Faye, hope you are feeling better!
  • WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's Woes so if you have a gripe or complaint about something share it!

    POINTS:

    Susan

Carri: That is great about the losses, keep it up!

Susan: Good to hear good news about your hubby, hope they can get his foot heeled and get him in for surgery.

You should see my cat! He must be watching a little bug, but he is all curled up with his paws under him like they do, but he is only about 1 1/2 inches from the wall facing it. Looks like I put him in timeout!

LeeAnn: Glad you got the work thing straightened out. This will work for all of you without the children having someone else care for them.

have a good day girls! I have to get going as I am going to lunch with dd early today and I don't have anything done this morning yet.

    Faye

Well, I am off to the commissary in just a few hours and I told Jack he has through tomorrow to eat any junk he wants because I am cleaning and tossing tomorrow and Monday we are back on track. I am doing something similar to WW's quick start program or other people's like Dr Phil has a quick start kind of thing. I need to get my body jump started.

No soccer today as the field is flooded from all the rain we had.

  • MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our mission this week is a challenge. The challenge is to work at 4 days of 4pters. Let's really work hard this week and get some perfect days in for all of us!

I am off and running gals. I have finished 2glasses of water, took my vitamin and am almost done with my FF instant breakfast. I am NOT a milk fan so that part will be tough, but I will do just fine I am sure. I weighed myself this morning and was appalled. I did clean out the whole pantry, freezer and fridge and there are NO sweets, junk food, snacks, etc other than what is prescribed on my program. Jack is back on Slimfast and soup for lunch and regular dinner with cutting down and he eats a prescribed portion of cereal and milk and has juice for breakfast. We just have to be tough on ourselves for a little while. Jack wants at least 20 lbs off by the first of July so his stress test is better for him. Once we are through the summer months, then we will ease up a bit, as in going out to eat once a month, etc, but not go back to eating whatever and however much we want. Those days have got to be through for us. We aren't in our 20's anymore and lots of extra weight will kill us and makes everyday tasks difficult.

    Everyone have a great day!

    Faye
  • Good for you, Faye. There isn't anything better you can do for yourself and Jack than eat healthy. Just losing 10% of your current weights has great health benefits. Don't be in a rush, experiment with new recipes and foods, and enjoy life. Having been a huge girl at one time, I can speak from experience.

Had 4 points both Saturday and Sunday. Have all my menus for May done and ready to go. Makes me feel in control. I've even scheduled the occasional piece of 70% dark chocolate.
  • *insert Homer here* "mmmmmmmm! Dark chocolate..." drool.

Wow, Susan! I was just looking at how much weight you've already lost. That's so cool!!! Talk about some serious achievement...

Julie- One of the new guys at out fight practices (Tindal) got a high level award (OTC equivalent). It actually gave Dave a new resolve. He's determined to win crown tourney within the next two years. He's gone toe to toe with the last few kings, so he knows he's got a good chance. Now he has to get his head in gear.

He says that since we can't travel so much to events, then he has to get their attention another way. Ha ha! I know he can do it if he really wants it, so I'm preparing for the eventuality of his winning. I haven't been in armor so much these days. There's no real reason for it. I'm just so darn frustrated with it all, I guess.

Hi Carrie and Faye! I took my oldest to church with me last weekend. She was so excited about going that she didn't sleep more than 4 hours the night before! LOL! She likes the singing.
