Btb Members Chat~weeks 3 & 4 !!!!
Hiya!! Glad you found it!
After a weekend of exercise and eating everything under the sun,I'm proud to say I'm back on the wagon for sure:o :) Nobody else can make me stop doing the bad things except me so it's time for some self control!:D Good Luck this week girls !!!! I will post the weekly points here after I get all the info:) See ya all later! Wendy |
Thank you all for your support:) It's nice to know someone cares:hug:
Love ya all! Wendy |
Good morning ladies! I'm much more rested this morning, but OMG am I SORE!!! I actually had fun for most of the class, but had bits of insecurity and nervousness throughout the day. For me I thought I did pretty good though. Won't know if I passed until 4-6 weeks. How frustrating is that?!
I'm off to the gym in a little bit. I'm going to attempt a step interval class, and of course get weighed and measured so I can update my week. I'm so sore this class is going to kill, but I want to get right back into my schedule to avoid a disastor. Can't wait to see everyones great points for the week! You're all doing so well! It really gets me motivated every morning. Well, off to check out the boards. I'll be back after my workout. |
Good morning girls!! Hope everyone had a good and restful weekend.
Brandy-I'm glad you're class went good. And you were worried!!! Wendy-I'm glad you're back in the game with that positive attitude. Let's keep it up. As for me, I'm down 4 lbs. I'm so happy. And I thought this week was gonna go to waste. Ha!! I started my Ramp it up and my George Foreman Walk It Off. I'm having fun doing both. And....it looks like it's getting warmer so I'll soon be playing tennis until 10 o'clock at night. I can't wait. Have a good day ladies!!! |
 Hi girls
Hope everyone weekend was good. Mine was great especially food wise. I so controlled myself except for excerise it was great I am proud because weekends are the hardest. We went to Past fair and I got the Baked seafood combo which was really good and thay came with a side of pasta and had a little and that was it. I was Proud I didn't get a plate of linguini like I always do...LOL And when we went food shopping pick up alot of good food Honey picked up some really good icecream and I grabbed a box of the weight watcher one...LOL Weigh in is tomorrow but I weighed in yesterday and I was down 4 :carrot: so we shall see tomorrow...LOL You know how those things change over night I think I am going to start tanning. I usually go in May month before summer but I feel like going early. My honey has said twice you need a tan I think thats a hint to go. Ok girls I am off to work Bye |
:( :( :( I got up to TOM this morrin and I only hope it goes away fast...have a great morrin all ...
|
Yeah Nikki and Rosario on your losses! You are doing great!!!! I'm down a pound for the week!! Happy times.
|
Hey girlies. Hoping to get my Richard Simmons Sweatin to the Oldies in the mail today. If not, I'm going to do WATP 2 miles. I am feeling unmotivated, but I thing it's because I had a crazy weekend. Not to much to do today, clean my sink and maybe do a little scrapbooking. Oh yeah, got guitar lessons tonight. Well, sounds like everyone is doing great. Good job. Have a great day!
|
Good Morning Everyone :)
Okay personal updates first. TOM is ALMOST over - thank gawd! And I am back down to my 181 - yeah! I hate that I put on 5 lbs with TOM each time and I am scare that one day it won't drop back off. This time it did - another day saved LOL So I told you my boyfriend is playing the game too -- well guess what? He lost 7 lbs this past week! He said he saw it all drop once he started riding the bike at the gym. He is trying to get in shape so that he can ride the 27 miles to work in less than an hour and start commuting via bike instead of his truck that is costly. I think that is an awesome goal! I don't think I could do it, although my commute is only 10 miles each way, but I think it climbs in elivation something serious on the ride home. We will see. Right now I am just concentrating on doing The Firm series for 12 weeks and seeing what changes I see. I did it again on Friday - and the good news was I wasn't sore at all from it. I might need to get the next set of weights (10 lbs) to continue to challange me. Weekend was pretty good all and all considering they are my HARDEST times, I am horrible for eating usually and then I figure hey since I didn't eat well why exercise. But THIS weekend was so much better, I worked out both Friday and Saturday - yea! and ate healthy about 75% of the time. Next weekend will be even better :) Have a great week everyone! |
Heres the totals for week 2:
tofat: 72 Misti in Seattle: 67.5 erika lynn: 63.5 Lady FireLyght: 60 NikM789: 55 Rosario: 54 Sassy 8877: 52.5 Nett: 51 La3y unicorn 37: 47.5 Wide in Winnipeg: 47.5 Buckneram: (just started last week) One Last Time:??? Jelynn: ??? I seem to be missing someone, actually alot of someones:( Well, I'm taking it easy today,I was up all night with some pretty nasty looking hives, size of quarters most of them. I'm exhausted today so I'm relaxing. Have a great day ladies and keep going !!!!! Your doing great!:carrot: Wendy |
Wendy-Sure hope the hives have disappeared. You've had some rotten luck health-wise lately. You're a definete trooper with the stick with it attitude. Very inspiring!
Sassy-Great job over the weekend. I hope you're having fun with the Firm. Glad the soreness is starting to subside! Keep it up everyone! We're half way thru this challenge. Don't quit now! |
LOL!!! I'm either a trooper or nutso!! LOL!! Thanks!:D
W. |
Good morning!!! Hope you're all starting a wonderful day. I am still pretty darn sore. The area between my shoulder blades-OUCH! Its Tuesday so that means i'm doing dvds for workouts today. I'm going to try out some of the new ones from the class I took. My punches are pretty pathetic due to soreness, but it'll actually feel better to get moving and stretched out.
Wendy-I'm sticking with the trooper thing although being a little nuts isn't all that bad lol. Question for all of you-How did you come up with your goal weight? I'm getting a lot of flack when people hear I'm still over 15 pounds away from goal. I am actually rethinking goal and maybe increasing it to 120, but I just really don't know how to tell. I know after college/grad school I weighed about 115 and was very healthy. That's why I picked that number for my goal, but now everyone is butting in (real world) saying I shouldn't go down anymore. I've read some of the maintainers threads about this and just wanted some opinions from you ladies. Sorry for rambling just really confused about this entire area of the journey. Well, have a great morning. |
Yay great to see everyone's progress. And remember, no matter where our names are on the "list" we are all THERE and we are all WINNERS because of it!!!
Wendy I too go for the trooper thing.. that's my story and I'm sticking with it LOL. Brandy about your weight... go with what YOU feel is comfortable as long as you are not totally overdoing it which obviously you are not. When I lost weight before I was at 180 trying to get to 170 which is great for me, and people started telling me I was going to get anorexic and all kinds of stuff. I was in shape so didn't look that heavy but still I WAS... LOL I started stopping them by SAYING..."I weigh 180 pounds!!!" LOL that made them feel a bit foolish for saying I was too thin. People criticize when we are overweight... but start getting in shape and they will criticize what you eat, how you work out, how much you've lost, etc. I say if you feel you want to lose another 5 pounds go for it!!! You've worked hard for this victory!! Don't let others rob you of your goal. Again, of course, that is assuming you are within "normal" ranges and not doing anything unhealthy; but your picture certainly looks that way!! In any case don't go by what the "real world" out there tells you!! You are probably in better shape than 90% of them and they WISH they had your willpower and success LOL |
Hey all!!!!!
I just got done with tuna and snack bits...Has anyone tryed them(snacks bits) they are really good... I am so full now I dont want to work...lol I hope all of you are well this morrin and have a great day... |
Hi... Never heard of snack bits... tell us more please. Inquiring minds want to know :)
|
Good Morning!!!!
Lady Unicorn-yes, do tell us what snack bits are. Brandy-if you haven't already, do invest in a massaging showerhead. They really do work wonders for sore parts. To answer your question, you should choose a weight that you feel comfortable at. Don't listen to what anyone else says. I chose mine because I think that I will look good and be at a "healthy" weight. But if I'm not happy, then I will try for less or who knows, maybe more. It's all up to you and no one else. As for me, it's raining out...don't know how much excercise I will get it. Man.....the days are just too short!!!! I actually woke up at 5:30 in the am yesterday just to get a workout in before work. But I was too tired to get up this morning. I wish I wasn't at work for 9 hours each day. I'd get a lot more excercise in if I wasn't. But I'm trying and at least I get an hour in. Oh well, gotta make do with what I have. Have a good day ladies!!! |
Hi
Hello Girls well weighed in this morning lost 3.5 lbs So I am excitied about that lost the one pound I found last week...LOL. Hope everyone is doing well.
I did start tanning last night so relaxing to sit in there for 10 minutes with no one bothering me just so relaxing. I took the kids out for a little while yesterday played soccer and some t-ball. Best part I can run around with out getting out of breath. I have the The Firm - Complete Aerobics/Weights/Abs today at lunch so glad there is a gym at work and about 7 of us do the dvd it's awesome then Boxing tonight. So busy workout day and go tanning before I pick up the kids relax for another 10 minutes before I pick up the kids and run around to have everything ready everyone fed before I run out to class glad it's at 8:15 so it gives me enough time. Well time to get some work done have a great day :D |
Well I can say right now there my exercise posting will be dismal today as I woke up in the night with the "crud" that has been going around so am home from work and don't plan to go do any walking. But hey I suppose this would be a good time to do a bit more exploring with different ways to use my new workout balls, as all I have done so far is arm stuff and need to vary it a bit. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... perhaps there is hope after all LOL
I can't believe... I bought some low fat granola to mix a bit in with yogurt and banana for breakfast, something different... but LOL I took it to work as I usually eat there on weekdays! Oh well.... Plan B |
Morning!
Hey Brandy, It's all personal choice about what weight you would like to be.. It also depends on your height and bone structure I think.. See for me I"m 5' 7", and I have a REALLY fine bone structure, like my wrists are just a little bigger than my sons! So I decided that 125 was good,I might go to 120 but I'll make that decision later. Weight seems to hang around my tummy and some on my butt and hips,so that's where I'm lookin' grim right now.Otherwise I'm pretty thin,my arms and legs are small enough and I don't want to lose anymore weight or inches on those body parts. My mom is telling me to stop with the trying to lose weight thing already and I keep telling here that I'm not only doing this for me,but also for Ryan because I have to be healthy to care for him, since his dad is a loser and not mentally able to care for a child. I'm still waiting for my Power 90 dvd's to come in the mail,I hope I get them in a week or 2 anyway. Meantime I'm starting up on the Slim in 6 DVD's again today,I've only been using the bike and gazelle for awhile and have to seriously kick it up a notch. Since my binge(past week)started I have gained 5 lbs,so that puts me back up to 138 and TOM is coming next week so I'll have to ADD another 4-6lbs at that point:mad: Off to mom and dads for a lovely cup of tea now, then some exercise, catch ya later, W. |
Good message, Wendy. It does depend on our bone structure and build. I am 5'9" but built large; if I ever got to 125 there would be nothing left! If I can get to an "in shape" 170 I will be just right. I know as I did it before LOL but just have to get there again!!!
|
Aww crap!!! It's so slow here at work. Ugh!! I just went on a mini binge (doritos, 1/2 a Crunch bar, Coke) and am feeling really bloated right now. I can't wait to go home and work out. Since I couldn't go walking on my lunch I've just been sitting on my butt. I'm so anxious to do my SI6 and my Walk It Off. 1.25 hour left until I'm free. Hope everybody else's day at work is going better than mine!!!
|
Rosario - I so hear ya! Today I had 3 ... yes 3 cookies. Good thing they are the WW type that is lower calories, but sheesh! I am at 1000 calories today and I have a dinner function to go to tonight. The only redeeming thing is that I am a directional host (LOL) and so I might not even get a chance to really eat dinner. I will chow down on salad and veggies if I can :)
On the topic of goal weight ... first I would check to see what is medically healthy for your height. Lots of examples in Hollywood about what going under does to you - plus my Aunt died of anorexia so I am always cautious of that. But knowing how healthy you are, I hope that isn't even a possibility. Goal weight is what you can maintain for a lifetime. If that is a reasonable amount that keeps your body running at a healthy level and puts you in the "healthy" catagories on the medical charts -- then it is good. I always ask my partner/mate/lover if that would be too skinny, not because I am doing this for *him* but because when your clothes are off you want to feel sexy/beautiful and a lot of that has to do with your partner's view. So you might ask, "I am shooting for a goal weight of 120-140 [or whatever your range is], what do you think would be most optimum in that range?" Couple all that with all the research that is out there and then pick the one that YOU like. Nevermind what everyone is saying (unless it is your Doctor) because you have to love you. Hope that helped. |
Rosario, I can't even imagine things being "slow" at work LOL. At my job that is never a problem as we are alway swamped! But that is much better IMO than things being too slow! And it is also an advantage in eating... always busy busy busy doesn't leave time to get bored and think about eating!
|
Hi guys! Thanks for all the great input re: goal weight. I think I'm keeping the goal I started with. I know I've been healthy at that weight before. I think that the people that know me and hear how far I am from goal are concerned because they think I was that weight when I was sick. (I had some severe food allergies I grew into and had a hard time sorting things out) Dont worry my goal is a good 12-15 pounds more than when I was sick. Before I got ill, I maintained 115 without trying so it seems like a good place to shoot for. It just gets overwhelming sometimes to deal with how people react to weightloss.
Nikki-Have a blast with all that exercise! I'm jealous you got to get outside for some of it. Misti-hope your feeling better. I've never tried any of the ball exercises. What did you think (if you even fealt up to that today?) Wendy-Sorry about your gain. Just hang in there and maybe after TOM you'll drop ALL of it really fast. Rosario-Hope your exercise helped you feel better. Try not to obsess over your snack. (It could have been worse. At least you didn't eat the WHOLE candy bar!) Have a great night everyone! |
Hi Brandy
I looked at these workout balls several months ago and wow, had I known how great they are, I would have bought them! They are soooooo nice and I love the way they make the muscles stretch!!! It is nice having something I really like to do. So far I am still only doing arm and upper body stuff but later I'll get into more. That is what I need most since I do so much walking |
I love using my workout balls in WATP. It really makes me work!! I had the worst chocolate craving today, so I gave in and had 5 mini sugar free hershey eggs. They were good. I exercised 30 mins and ate all my healthy meals and snacks. Did a little scrapping tonight and watched idol. Now, I gotta do some homework! YUCK! Good night everyone.
|
Hi Angela... That is GREAT that you were able to limit your chocolate craving so well! Good for you!
Do you use the large ball too? LOL I am afraid I would kill myself on it. <G> |
ARHHHH!!! I'm at it again:o ,doing the eating thing,I wish one of you were here to kick my @--!!!!!!! I put myself in the Binge challage starting tomorrow, let's see if that helps:^:
W. |
Morning everyone,
Wendy-hang in there girl! I know you can get back on track. Hope the new challenge helps. Do you think there's an underlying reason (I binge when stressed) or is it boredom? Sometimes if I can figure out why I want the bad stuff, I can take care of the real problem and remove the food factor. Get back on the wagon today. We are all here supporting you! Today is spinning! Hope they have the mic and stereo working today. My back is finally feeling pretty good too, a little discomfort, but its improving. They do a ball workout downstairs during a portion of the spinning class. It is interesting to watch. I think concentrating on core work for that long would kill. My core is still pretty week compared to my arms and legs. OK, Everyone jump back on track this morning! It looks like I'm going to be able to bask in a warmish day! Maybe I'll take the doggies for a long walk before I teach this afternoon. Good luck on beginning a brand new day today! |
Hi everyone.
Wendy, hope you are able to get back on track.... once we get started on the binging it is hard to stop again! But you can do it!! We are here to support you. I still have the head crud so am feeling as if I just want to sleep in my car at lunch hour... we will see. |
Good morning!!!
Wendy-here's your kick in the butt....POW!!! Sorry if it hurt. Just hang in there and stick with it. You can do it. Misti-hope you lose the head crud soon. Brandy-i'm jealous of your warm weather. it's still cold here and foggy as ****. Workout was great yesterday. Today is the same thing-walk for 40 mins on my lunch and when i get home, Ramp it Up and Walk it off. I love working out now because I love seeing results. Nothing motivates you more than a shrinking body!!! Good thing I brought a book with me today because I already finished my work and the boredom is slowly creeping in. I can't wait to go back to school so I'll at least have homeowrk to do. Have a good day ladies!!! By the way, are workout balls like little hand weights?? Because I keep picturing you guys working out with these huge, gigantic bouncy balls lol |
Hello!
Feeling good this morning.
Wendy you will be out of the funk soon. I binged a little yesterday to Honey pissed me off I grabed a small mini snickers which became 4 or 5 then 3 totsie rolls I was enjoying everyone of them. I felt a little bad but got over it. Had dinner went to Boxing go I sweated so much he had me doing all sorts of combinations I thought I was going to pass out at the end:faint: Oops I need to edit my excerise from yesterday I forgot about boxing 4 more yeah baby...LOL Oh and at 11 I was starving and i have been dying for some pop-tarts but stayed away because I wouldn't be able to just eat one in the package I would need both I was like freak it Let me get it out of my system and I did and enjoyed it :D Will post later have to eat my grapes |
Sorry I really haven't been posting much. I don't know why I haven't, either! I guess I really haven't had much to say.
Diet and exercise have been going pretty well. Did some walking, aerobics, and calisthenics yesterday. Today I think I'll do walking and weights. :running: Just keep walking, just keep walking, just keep walking walking....... |
I had a serious binge last night. My bf works at night so I get bored. This is the first time in a long long time when I ate like this. I had everything from rice cakes to jerkey to pie (that he brought home for me!). I feel a little guilty, but I'm back with it today and will just workout harder!
|
HI girls. thanks for the support and the kick in the butt!:D I have to go for a case confrence against my ex-husband soon. Of course he will be fighting for visitation with Ryan and I will be fighting to keep him away as much as possible!! I really don't like the idea of a crack addict trying to look after a 2 year old. I'm 100% sure this is why I'm binging, the date hasn't been set yet but it will be within the next month or so and I have to come up with some info on drug testing and so on . All I want is for Ryan to be a safe place at all times with someone who is going to look after him properly and not sit in a corner and smoke up!
Today is a new day and I am going to try and stay away from foodwish me luck! Have a great day ladies! Wendy |
Hey ladies! It's been awhile...sorry!
When is gave 3 going to start? I am way behind for this game, but do you know an estimate for when the 3rd game is going to start? Who won the last one??? :) Great to see all of you again! |
Wendy-
Okay sweetie that is MAJOR stress. I am divorced and when I was sorting out all that stuff it was so incrediably stressfull, and I really didn't even know it till it was over. So just stick in there and keep your chin up, you ARE doing great. Remember you need all your strength and good health to fight this for Ryan, so eating healthy and exercising puts you at your BEST. Do it for Ryan, he needs Mommy at her best :) Last night we had a big dinner function and I was really worried about over indulging, but they served healthy food! Can you believe it? No carbs and low fat/cal. I was shocked. So even though I had the ice-cream dessert I still stayed at 2000 calories. Which is 500 more than my usual goal but it wasn't bad considering I started the day with 3 cookies :( Anyways, I of course hopped on the scale this morning and I *think* I might be down a pound. I won't count it till my Friday morning weigh in but I am keeping my fingers crossed and staying focused today and tomorrow on my eating. I am going to try and do 40 minutes of exercise here at my work gym on breaks as I am working a 12 hour day today and won't have time to go home and exercise. Have a good day all! |
Wendy-Stay strong during your stressful time. I know you can do it. You need to hang in there for yourself and Ryan. If you need to blow off some steam, pop SI6 into your dvd/tape player and work out like you've never worked out before.
Sassy-you are so lucky!!! Your company has a gym on-site??!!! Wish mine did! Lunchtime workout was a success. It was only walking but I sure did work up a sweat. It does help that its getting hot outside. Finally, spring has come to Atlanta!!! |
Wendy-I'm sorry that you're experiencing the stress of a bad father. Both my sis, and my SIL have been thru much the same thing. (Thus, I babysit neice and nephew alot so sis can improve her life by getting a degree and then maybe buying sleazeball out of their lives.) At the moment, things are calm for both of them, but that has not always been the case. There is no magic phrase to make life instantly better, but know that you are not alone and if you need to vent you have all of us-and PM me if you need to vent and not post for anyone to read. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Well, it has been a lovely day but couldn't get my bike out. I tried, but have 2 flats, and need to empty out my truck before it'll fit to take it to get air. I took the kids to the bookstore after the gym. We had a ball. I love days when we're all in a happy state of mind. The gorgeous weather sure helps that! OK, Gotta get a bite to eat before I start teaching. Have a great afternoon. |
