LOL Wendy... my nurses are always surprised by me when I get blood drawn as I sit and watch closely what they are doing! I guess most people turn away. I hate it too... but if they are going to do it I want to see!! :)

good morning girls!!
bad day yesterday. i didn't even finish my SI6 dvd. and food choices weren't great either. but today is a brand new day. i've already done 40 minutes of Walk it off. i had to wake up at 6 in the am to do it, but at least it's off my to do list. brandy-my tat is an aries symbol...you know the ram's head. lol glad your dinner came out good. it always makes me feel good when I try out a new dish and it comes out great. good thing my boyfriend likes to eat because I try out everything on him. angel eyes-ur design sounds nice. i hope you post some pics up well girls have a good and productive day!!! |

Morning Ladies :)
Well last night's dinner went well. I figured at the most I could have had was about 30 ounces of soup, it was lots of various kinds as it was a tasting type thing ... called Soup & Art. Each resturant provides about 1 ounce of soup and then you can browse art from different artist while tasting soup. It is a big fund raiser event here for Community Nursing program. Pretty fun. This morning was my official weigh-in, and when the boyfriend and I take weekly progress pictures. Good news is I am finally down 1 pound. After two weeks of no change, it was good to see it moving again. But the pictures!! We compare week to week, and my tummy is actually going away, and I don't have the back fat fold anymore!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA So I am feeling great this morning. Hope to have a healthy eating day and do some power yoga tonight. I HAVE to get more exercise in. I can see that is where I am missing points. Next week we go to Vegas, and I already told the boyfriend that we should pack gym stuff so we can work-out at the hotel gym in the morning :) OH and the really cool thing is last night both the BF and I passed up the bread table, the cookie table and the dessert table! YEA to saying no to temptation :) Hope you all have a great day!! |
Yep, I think I'm getting that virus again WHAA WHAA:cry: I'm still not 100% from last time.. My throat is starting to get sore and I'm starting to sneeze,I think I might have to go MIA on you girls if it does develope into what I had last time,I have to get over it fast and the only way will be bed rest and no strenuous activity:( Although I lost alot of weight from it last time! lol!
Ryan and I are going for a little nap, then I'm going to get some more exercise in before I have to forget about it for a few days Catch ya later, W. |

After working out I stopped in for a few things at the grocery store and did a victory lap past the free dessert samples!!! hehe....I'm usually a sucker for a free sample but :nono: DIDN'T DO IT!!! Wendy.....Happy napping!! Hope you feel better soon. Sassy.....Vegas BABY!!! From what I hear you're going to need your runners anyway, the strip is very long and everybody walks it!! Ok I am now in over drive...10lbs has got to be gone by May1st the tat will come when I get some more weight off I will do this when I lose 20lbs more so soon I hope I will be showing you all my new tat.......

Sassy-way to stay in control last night. It is so cool that your BF is doing this with you. When do we get to see pictures?! It sounds like you're really getting results. I'm so happy for you. Hi ladies! Still feeling ok so I've finished my workout! I did an hour and a half and I'm going to gazelle for 10 mins tonight to get my point!:D I'm not so sore now, but I'm betting I'll be stiff as a board tomorrow! HEHE!! Guess I'll have to do some exercise even if I am sick!:)

Well, girls night got the best of me. I ate lots, had too much wine and had a blast. But I am back on the wagon today and feeling happy. I've got a TurboKick class at the gym in the late morning. Hubby is buying his new mountain bike today so you can bet that if the weather is ok we'll be going riding lots this weekend. Hope you all have a great one! |

LOL in reading these posts I can see we are really headed for something big. Way to go, ladies! We have to keep tieing on those shoes and grabbing those weights regardless of how we FEEL which is sure not always easy. And mostly do our push aways... as in from the table LOL

Hi all. Another bad day for me yesterday.
Had to go to the doctor because of a facial rash that I've had for about a month (been trying to treat it with cortizone for a week). He ended up taking blood to test for the highly unlikely possibility that the rash could be a symptom of Lupis, and I almost passed out during the process. I felt shakey and weak the rest of the day, which was only made worse by my digestive tract declaring war on the toilet (to put it lightly). I started to crash at 9, was in bed by 10. I normally don't go to bed until 11pm-1am, so that tells you how tired I was. I just got out of bed 25 minutes ago (9:30). I'm hoping to do some exercising today. Maybe I'll walk in place while watching some TV. I did that last week and it was quite nice. We'll see how it goes. |
Oh Lydia, I am sorry you are having the rash and I certainly pray you don't have lupus! Take care of yourself and keep us posted. :hug:

Three bad days in a row. Last night I went to my aunt and uncles and had pizza and fries. It was so good, but so bad for me!!! This is the first time I had pizza in four weeks though. I guess that's good! Today, I'm not sure what we are doing. We might go to a scrapping convention this afternoon so I can get new products to try. YEAH! Well, good luck everyone

Lydia ~ I'll be praying for you too:) Well, I had pizza last night, but it was extra thin crust, with next to no cheese,and about 3 pieces of pepperoni, needless to say it was utterly pathetic:mad: I had 2 tiny pieces so I think I did well, I didn't have to blot it because of the lack of cheese! LOL!! and there wasn't any sauce either!:mad: Anyway, I did well with eating yesterday!:D I'm feeling ok today:) not sick yet so I'm going to clean house and maybe go shopping in a while! |
hehe.....count me too, and it was def. pizza Friday!!! I tried this new thin whole wheat pizza, it had chicken chunks and an alfredo type sauce. YUM YUM....it was sooo good once you got over that it wasn't your traditional type of pizza.....and only about 300 calories for a large 1/3 of the whole thing. I'll buy that one again for sure!!!
Ds had a boy scout building thing this morning....you know, the 1st Sat in the month at Home Depot. Today was building a birdhouse. hehe...actually looks like its supposed to this time. Usually when we go, I mix up the directions and it turns out to be a 'sad' snowman napkin holder.....or the uneven picture frame. Then we went to Gordmans and I bought this really cute sleeveless top, bright turquoise (doncha know) to match the new flowers in my tattoo. Sillly huh?....but it looks soooo cute and it drowns down the YELLOW!!! ..lol Buckneram.....enjoy your scrapping!!! gotta love those books. Ladyfirelyght.....hope the dr. was able to give you some cream for your rash. I hope its only that......when do you get the results back? :hug: |
Hey angel-eyes... LOL your victory lap idea came in handy this morning! I shop at a very large grocery/market and today they had a big cheese sale and were giving away free samples all over the place. So I did my victory lap right on through the department and past the tables, then over into the huge bakery dept, and right on back through ice cream rows and bulk candy section LOL. And hey it felt pretty good!!! :) Just saying hello to some old friends LOL :dance:

I'm not a cookie kid,thank goodness! For me it's all about the salty foods! Love it! Now I tend to want really spicy foods so that's good! What I would do for a spicey steak fajita right now, with extra hot sauce:dizzy: *droollllllll*:p

I am pleased to announce that I JUST EXERCISED FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE TUESDAY! I did just over an hour of walking an aerobics. Now I remember why I liked it so much :D

Well, my girls night out binge from Friday continued last night. My hubby made a comment that ticked me off and stupid me turned right to food (plus a pretty blue drink called a zombie) I'm not feeling to proud right now. Thank goodness I'm not hung over because trying to play the organ for church service when I'm like that is not a pretty thing. I'm going to do my best to get back on track today. Anyone remember their March goals we gave on the thread? Mine were: -26 Workouts for the month -8-10 lb loss for month (might be a bit more than I can do, I'll try) -Comfortably wear a size 6 (I can squeeze in them now but they aren't pretty and definetly not comfy.) -Maintain healthy water and food consumption Well, I made: -29 days of working out -9 pound loss -size 6 good, size 4's are starting to fit depending on brand -I actually stayed on course for eating/water for all but 4 or 5 days. I'm pretty happy with that. Hopefully that will help me today as I work on getting back on track. April goals: -workout 26 days -lose between 8-10 pounds -maintain healthy eating/water habits I know these are pretty much the same, but not sure what else to include. Maybe your goals will spark some interest in what I can add to mine. Well, I've gotta go get dressed for church. Have a great Sunday! |

Seriously, its all a mind thing and dh let you get the best of it.(or worst of it) I'm a sucker for coloured drinks....red, blue, MARGHARITA LIME.....:nono: and almost all of them do a real number calorie wise. Better to stay with the liquor and diet drink mix. La3y Unicorn.....WOOHOOOO:carrot: Great job!!! Wendy.....You mentioned that you're a 'salty' girl.....have you tried a brand of chip crisps called...."Stacies" soy crisps? They are awesome, sweet bbq is my favourite and they have the added benefit of 8 or 9 grams of protein to 17 carbs per serving!!! Honestly, if anyone told me they were good for me.....or that I would LOVE THEM....I'd say they were crazy!!! me? soy? haha. It def. helps to have an 'friendly' item to munch when everyone else is chowing down reg. chips or buttered popcorn. I dip mine in salsa too!!! |
I will have to check out the soy crisps too... I love salty stuff too but oops just remembered I am trying to keep my blood pressure down LOL. It was too high and I just got a perfect reading from my doctor!
Robert's American Gourmet snacks are good too... the Veggie Booty, for example, is made from spinach, kale, carrots, cabbage and broccoli. It is the texture and "look" of popcorn and tastes yummy. Pirate's Booty is really good too... made from rice and corn with white cheddar. Like cheese puffs. There is a website where you can find all the nutritional info and even purchase them online (by the case). I can PM it to anyone who is interested. Or if there is a Trader Joe's near you, you can get them there. The website also lists which snacks are vegan, which are baked, fried, etc. |

Hi all. Thanks for the support. I've been good today and feeling happy with getting back in the groove. I've got a terrible sore throat and think I'm getting sick. On a positive note, my throat is so sore I really don't want to eat more than I have to. Still, I hope this is gone in the morning. I have a very busy 2 weeks with my church job getting ready for easter. This is a bad time to get sick.

Brandy... so sorry you are sick and I pray you recover quickly! I went through that last week but mine was allergy so the meds helped!
I can't BELIEVE I went on such a long walk today... took me 3 hours even though it was only 7 miles round trip (LOL only she says... for me that is LONG). BUT there are soooooo many hills here and one of them was a killer. Actually this is my second longest walk; a while back I did a 10 mile one and that was even before I was in halfway decent shape for it. Oh and on the one today there was nowhere to sit except at each end... so I could only stop a moment to rest while standing. Whew!!! I hope I beat off some of those old fat cells and calories LOL A couple weeks ago I walked to church and back... about 6 miles but on a horribly busy, narrow road. So today I went around through a way that is a bit longer but much nicer and through housing sections and of course here heavily wooded as is pretty much everything LOL. I was ticked since I couldn't really measure as I am still awaiting my new ped from Amazon... but I am sure it was at least that far and just to be "safe" I didn't add any of my other steps for the day... ha not that there WERE a lot of them LOL. I spent the afternoon in bed with a magazine and making family phone calls! |
I can't believe that I lost 2 pounds this week. I really expected to gain. Although, I did exercise so that helps.
