  • Hi everyone. Sorry i have not posted in quite a while. I had to send my laptop back to Dell for repairs and only received it back a few days ago. Plus I've been so busy with work and trying to get the kids ready to go back to school, I just havent had time to get online... I have pretty much stayed on track with my eating and this morning I weighed in at 190.0!!!!

Chris: I hope you're doing well... I didnt mean to abandon you all this time

Ellen: so nice to meet you!!! Ok, so technically I'm no longer a SAHM but hey, you do what ya gotta do, right? My kids are Christian (turns seven on Friday!) and Haleigh 5. I look forward to seeing you around the board !

Anywho, I have to run. I've got avon deliveries to make and I need to pick up some things from the grocery store. Have a great day!
  • Thanks for the welcome! I am doing ok, but I am kind of stuck in a rut. I haven't been feeling well, and that has made it difficult to work out and eat right. Have to run DH is on vacation, and we have to get rolling.

    Later chicas!!
  • Hey ladies...going okay here. I'm trying to stick with it and haven't been too bad about it. Can't say I've really lost any weight but it's the process I'm looking at not the numbers. That way I won't get too discouraged. Let see when I started WW almost 2 months ago, I was at 207.5 and I'm down to 204. It's super slow going. Frustrating to say the least.

So Ellen, any big plans while DH is on vacation????

Amanda-How is the Avon thing going? I love that new perfume they got out..the Blue one. can't remember the name right now...but its the one with Bo and Hope from Days.

gotta go and finish dinner preps.

    chris
  • HI all! Sorry I have been MIA. THings just get so hectic, and I get a little depressed, so I don't post alot then. But I know I should. I have been maintaining, but I really want to start losing soon. I have been hitting the gym 3 days a week for a couple of weeks now. I was going to get four in, but one of our cars had to get fixed, so I missed a day, but at least I wil still get three in!!!. I just went shopping, got tons of veggies and fruit. I am feeling pumped, and I think that is because I have maintained, even with TOM on the way. Will try to be better about posting.

Chris~ NO we did not have any big plans, but we did a lot of little things. It was nice to just spemd some normal time together, with his schedule these days it is hard for him to see the kiddies, esp DS who is in school. We got a little cool break, and I realized that I NEED to go through the kiddies clothes before winter gets here! HAve to run and get dinner started.

    ((hugs))
  • Hey Ellen, didn't mean to leave you hanging either. We've had too much going on here. My Sil was put in the hospital last Sat. They amputated her leg on Wed. She's going to be on the rehab floor for a couple weeks and then we just are flying by the seat of our pants. We don't have a place for her to go yet. We don't know what we need to do or where to go...and there is so little help. Basically its me, my husband, and their mom to help out. But that's not enough. Kelly has a bad back, I have RA and their mom has COPD and emphysema. What a trio! We gottta try to find someone to be with her at night, etc.

    Gotta go...

WE're going camping this weekend for a little bit.

    chris
  • Chris~ I will keep your SIL and your whole family in my prayers.
  • Chris~I hope everything is ok. PM me when you get back. ((Hugs))
  • may i join you,ladies?

  • Hey all! May I join?

I have 2 little ones. Sean is 3 and Sara just turned 8 months.

How do you find time to exercise with 2 little ones?

Usually I wait until Sara is napping, and Sean usually goes in the basement with me. He plays with his toys, while I exercise.

These past couple of days, he's been really against going downstairs.

I need to exercise, but he makes it terribly hard!

    Any input?
  • Hey all...I guess if we can keep this thread going..we may as well.

ANyhow, I'm Chris. SAHM of 3 daughters, full time student, wife and stressed out female. My kids are 13, 7, and 4. I'm working on my BS in Business Admin. I have been trying (not very successfully) to lose all this extra weight draggin me down. I think my efforts aren't what I am capable of doing but...

Anyhow, no suggestions on trying to find time to exercise. I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. Exercise here is a hit or miss thing. Probaby one of the reasons I'm not doing so good

Glad to meet you both. Looking forward to more posts from you. Gotta go and get my errands done for the day and take the chitlens to my mom's house so they can play with their cousins....

    chris
  • Happy Saturday all! Would love to join this thread if you don't mind? I noticed that it's just picking back up and thought this would be fun.

I'm Danielle, SAHM to 3 - ages 13,12 & 10. Not as little as some of you, but I am positive they take more work now than when they were little! LOL Seriously, who thought teenage/pre-teens would be this much work! But I love 'em to pieces so makes it worth it.

Chris, I was reading about your SIL. I'm so sorry! Were you able to find care for her yet? I don't understand why things have to be so difficult for people in crisis, you would think there would be loads of options readily available for things like this. I hope everything is getting settled. I noticed that you live in MT. I've got a best friend who lives in MT and goes to college there too. She posts on 3FC regularly too, will have to get her over here. Maybe you guys live close by?

As for exercising with little ones. I wish I had some answers for you. Unfortunately I never made that effort to lose weight while my kids were so little so I don't know. Sorry! Mine are older and I still can't figure it out. Amazing how when I set out to exercise miraculously someone has a meltdown or a big drama at that very moment, or right in the middle of my workout.

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies on here. Would really be nice to connect with other mom's who are dealing with the same struggles balancing kids and weight loss. Easier said than done, huh?

    Have a great day ladies!

  • Danielle, actually things have been going better than we anticipated. My SIL got released from the hospital 2 weeks ago and has been staying at my MIL's house. She went through rehabilitation in the hospital and even from a wheelchair, she can do so much for herself. In another 5 weeks or so they think she'll be ready for her prosthetic leg. We wanted to get her into town where she would be closer to us if she needed help but so far, the family that said they would help...ain't. So we may have to just grin and bear it and let her go back to her house.

So you have a friend in Montana? Where about? I'm in Billings. I do all my classes online right now. When my youngest starts kindergarten next year, I think I will attend classes on campus. I know what you mean about the teens and preteens. My daughter just turned 13 last month and my gosh what a change so far. She gets upset on the phone and just hangs up on you without saying bye and attitude attitude. Of course I wouldn't trade em for anything. All three are my baby girls and always will be (even if I want to wring there necks sometimes).

Nice to meet you and I'll be looking forward to more posts from all of you. I gotta get ready to go. My SIL is having us go out to dinner with her tonight . This restaurant she used to cook for closed down last year and they reopened in a new building and location so they asked if she wanted to come tonight and bring a couple of guests with for their friends and family night. Totally free. We can get prime rib, crab legs, lobster, all the high end stuff without spending a dime. I'm all for that.

    chris
  • Chris, I'm glad things seem to be going well for SIL. Hopefully she'll become very independant as I'm sure that's what she'd want. Ugh, the teen years I am not prepared for. lol The attitude seems to come along just overnight. I hate that it makes me feel guilty for things I think I've done, when it's really just them. KWIM? Then my youngest DD brings it to my attention that my DS only has 4 more years at home before he heads off to college. Talk about bringing a tear to your eye! LOL That really brings things into perspective. They really are only ours for a short time, aren't they? I hope your dinner out was a great one, the food you mentioned sounded YUM-O!

So, I am struggling badly with this weight loss thing. I cannot seem to get ahold of myself and make myself do what I need to get it done. The weather is cooling down (finally) as much as can be expected anyways in AZ. lol I think my attitude has alot to do with that, the holidays approaching. Makes me feel lazy I guess! lol
Need to get a handle on this tho, I have a goal for fall to lose at least 24 pounds and so far I'm only 2 pounds in. Why does this have to be so difficult?

  • Hi everyone! I'm new here I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this, but I haven't entirely figured out my way around the boards yet. I figured I'd ask here since you all are mommies.

I'm a SAHM to a 2.5 year old, Morgan, and a 4 month old, Hailey. I'm breastfeeding my youngest and plan to continue until at least a year. Does anyone here (that nurses) find it difficult to lose weight? Since I'm nursing, I require more calories. I'd like to lose a lot of weight, but I don't want to have to wait another 8+ months until I'm done breastfeeding to really get into it. Any advice?
