Just a quick hello from rainy San Fran. I won't be weighing in until next Tuesday when I'm home, but I have a feeling I'll be joining Mscat on the walk of shame... If I'm up too far I may decide it's time for WW again - on-line this time. Meanwhile I'm eating rather too much, although not too bad on chocolate or junk food. But the wine! Ah, the wine... glorious wine... (Yes, today was Sonoma area wine tasting, and a grand time was had by all.) No challenges at the moment, apart from staying warm enough and surviving an uncomfortable accommodation situation. I'll be so glad to get home, and would leave sooner if it were possible to change my flight. Instead I'm escaping Wed to Fri to Gilroy, shopping outlet centre of the universe. (Slight exaggeration.)

Mscat, good idea to maintain the same thread. Bye!

Hi Ladies

For some reason, I'm not very motivated to challenge myself these days! Fortunately, I'm not motivated to be bad either! So while I haven't been 100% good, I also haven't been bad.

Yesterday (Monday), I got up early and went to bed early, didn't have any food after 7 pm, drank lots of water, and took the dog for a walk, so I'm counting it as a successful day.
Today was supposed to be good as well, but I only just had dinner and it's 9 pm!

I've been busy prepping for my trip - planning routes, researching attractions and national parks. We're leaving in a week's time. I'll miss you... and the internet!

Well last week is better than I thought it would be...I'm down 1.5lbs for the week..I guess the gym is paying off...went yesterday and did 15 mins on elliptical and 70 mins of weights...

mscat / Carla - hang in there ladies...you can do it ..vacations can really hurt a diet..It's hard to eat healthy when your out and about along with getting in exercise...

mscat -great job on getting up early to workout...it really makes you feel good all day...I don't mind keep the same thread.

Default Wednesday Evening Report

I am on a roll This is day 3 for my workouts. Hmmmmm - do we see a 21 day challenge in my future? I did a mile and 1/2 this a.m. at 6:30 It felt good. I am also using weights!

I was concerned how I would keep up with my workouts when DH and I go to Chicago for a training this weekend. My DD is letting me take her portable DVD player so I can WATP in my hotel room since there are no fitness amenities.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am missing your posts. Have a great day on Thursday. I probably will not be able to post throughout the weekend. Last time our internet connection to our laptop was not working. This time we are in training from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 a.m. So I am relying on each of you to keep the thread alive.

love,

Default Night Ladies

I hope everyone is doing well out there - it is lonely on the thread tonight. Just wanted to report that Thursday was great - I decided to change my workout routine and get on the stair climber instead of doing WATP. I forgot how hard the stair climber is!

I was perspiring, exhausted and wanted to quit at 10 minutes. But I had an STI moment and hung in there for the full 15!

I will try to check in the a.m. before I take off. Otherwise have a great weekend.

Hello ladies

I decided to take things easier and not stress out so much about not sticking with my challenge. It's counter-productive.

I'm doing good with my water and I've been up early every day but Tuesday. I haven't been doing the stability ball exercises, but I did make a conscious effort to go running twice this week - which counts as exercise and which I didn't quite "have to" do since I blew my 21-day running challenge not too long ago and I'm not starting a new one until after my camping trip.

I had an STI moment while running this morning.... I ran one lenght of the road at a faster pace than usual and improved my time yet again (and for the second time this week - from 8 min 1 sec to 7 min 52 sec on Monday and now 7 min 41 sec today). That came at a price - by the time I had ran 10 minutes and came up a hill, I just couldn't anymore and had to stop. But instead of stopping for the day, I walked for a few minutes and then ran for 15.5 more minutes!

So I'm fairly happy with this week so far, except for Wednesday when I slept in till 10 am or so. That being said, it's nearly 12 am, so I better go to bed!

Hello all. Nothing good to report, so I'll make this short. There's just 3 more days of this trip to get thru, and then I'll be home and plan on getting back on track big time. I think I'll be having some serious fear of scale on Tues morning - I feel more jiggly somehow, which probably isn't a good sign - but the bullet WILL be bitten, I swear.

Anyway, I'm still around, just keeping a low profile. Back home the wine tap will be turned off, and the whine tap too... Either back on the 1200 cal diet the doc gave me, or else WW again. I've never tried the Core plan, and it really should be both workable and affective. Mscat, I think you said you might be interested in trying it too?

Gotta go, catch y'all later.

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick note, I'm leaving tomorrow and there is still tons of work to do!
Take care I'll be thinking about you all, and I'll try to drop by if I get on the internet at some point. If not, see you around April 15th.

I haven't been good with my weekly challenge (again!), and I know the scale and I won't be on good terms tomorrow morning... But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the trip - camping, hiking and so on, so lots of activity, so hopefully less of me will be coming back!

During my trip, my challenge will be to drink at least 1.5 litres of water each day and something else, but I can't remember what... Hopefully I'll remember by tomorrow!

Take care

Sushi - Have a great trip...you deserve it..I know you'll do great while your gone.

Well todays weigh-in is awesome....I'm down 2.4lbs....so I guess the gym is paying off...all that cardio and weight lifting but I can't tell anything in clothes fitting but I know it's coming from somewhere...Maybe It's coming off evenly throughout my body...Can't wait to drop one more size in pants again but I think that will be a little while yet...I did the elliptical yesterday for 65 mins while I watched grey's anatomy at the gym and today my legs are a little stiff

Have a wonderfull day..

Default Monday Greetings!

Hi Ladies - I am so happy to be back and see all my B-B friends popping in. DH and I had a great time in Chicago - the training was intense but we accomplished a lot and all the people were extraordinary! I am proud to say I did WATP everyday I was away even though we were in class from 9:00 a.m. to 12 midnight! I have completed 7 days straight (8) counting this a.m. of 15 minutes (minimum) of exercise

Carla - hope you are having a great time. Enjoy and we will be here to crack the whip when you get back

Bonnie - for 3 days of activity goals - Onderland is around the corner!

Sushi for 3 days of goals met and on your challenge while you are away.

Donna for 6 days of goals met and for 2.4 lbs down! You are our champion for the week

Have a great day!

Default Hi Ladies

Just a quick note to say "Hi" and I hope everyone is having a fantabulous week! I did not workout this a.m. but I am determined to get it in before the night is over. There is a 1 and 1/2 hour "Shield" on tonight and if necessary I will get a treadmill workout while that is on.

The scale is moving again! And in the right direction - down! After my weekend, I gained 2 more lbs and went up to 238 I was too 'shamed to change my ticker I dropped below 236 and believe it is the result of my consistent workouts. I am going for another 7 days (1 down so far) and I will look forward this time to Monday's weigh-in.

We may not be where we think we should be . . .
but at least we are making the journey.
