Yeah - I have a trip in mid-July and I want to lose some serious pounds before then. 40 would be nice. Probably unrealistic - but I would really like to.

I'm new
and a little nervous, that one I'll forget I signed up! and two that I won't stick with it! I just signed up at the gym last week, and like it. Still need to watch my eating. I am so tired of yo yo weight loss/gain.

I have our vacation at the BEACH the week of June 24th. That's my "1st" goal.

WOO HOOO This is kind of exciting... Andrea you had an awesome idea. We all need to be super amped and ready for this. I know I am and I am excited because I am trying that 21 day challenge thing and I am not good at it. LOL. Plus, this is a chance for newbies, like myself, to get really involved from the very beginning with others. And before we all know we will be smokin hot this summer. Hey! Ledom, 40 lbs isn't necessarily unrealistic, if you lost 1.5 pounds per week, it would take 27 weeks to lose 40 lbs. and July is about 4 months away, or 18 weeks away, which is only 9 weeks shy of that 40 lb goal and that means you would only be 13.5 lbs away from your 40 lb goal.... see, so those extra 13 -14 lbs could be lost somewhere during the course during a really good week or the jumpstart at the beginning. That 1.5 per week adds up fast in the end. So Ledom, your goal is very realistic and you can do and look hot for your vacation. PS, you'll be hot for your vacation anyways... and the same goes for you JB... :beach: |

I'm in! I'd already lost a lot of weight last year by walking/jogging and counting calories, but since the holidays, I have stalled, and even gained back a few pounds. I'm trying so hard to get back on track so I can lose 25 more pounds by summer.

I have my plan in place and it will be more of the same. 5 small, nutrtionally balanced meals a day (about 1400 calories) and I am following Jillian Michael's exercise plan from her book Winning by Losing. I am going to try not to tie myself to a number. I am most definitely thinking about that July 15 date though and want to lose as much as possible by then. |

I'm doing weight watchers. I was trying to just wing it with the plan and not write anything down....nope doesn't work it's all or nothing. I lost with weight watchers before and know a few people on the plan that have done great....I'm going to do it this time :carrot: Another summer goal of mine is to have to buy all new SMALLER summer clothes:spin: |

I'd like to join in too. My goal is to lose about 55 lbs. Not necessarily by the summer but would definetely love to be much slimmer by then.

I'm in too!! I have three weddings to attend this summer, one of which I'm standing in, and I'd like to look fab. I'm not sure about my goal for now... I think I'd like to lose about 20-30 lbs, but it depends on how I look as I lose (like if I've dropped a couple of sizes after losing 15lbs, then I think I'd be happy). In any case, support is always helpful!! |

Looks like we have a nice little group here. Yay! I am definitely ready to lose something by summer time, weight loss has been very slow for me. Not going to stick myself with a number only because I don't want to be disappointed if I don't make it. This group will be a great way to keep me going. I am also trying to lose for summer and I need all the support I can get. I have a long way to go to get to my goal.What things are you doing to lose weight? I need to start exercising more. Eating is good lost 31 so far. Have a good day! Jess |

Yea!!! There are so many people and this will be great. My plan is to incorporate more protein and the happy carbs (whole grain, nothing white). I am also trying to drink my water. I try to exercise about 5/6 days a week, but so far only 3 days... hmmm..... yes desertdreamer - to beachbabes or bust!!!!

My downfall is a cold glass of coke. I do not like to drink water. The exercising would go better I think if I had a partner. Can't find anybody that wants to go work out. My daughter is too young by the gym rules even thought she would love to go.

:( I broke down today and had a cheesburger and onion rings for lunch. My lunch partner wasn't here and my chicken spinach wrap didn't sound too appealing.

So far so good! I walked/jogged 2.7 miles today, lifted some weights...and tried to do some sit ups(.:coach: ouch!) I've had my adkins shake for breakfast, a garden salad with grilled chicken for lunch, and for dinner, I'm planning some grilled veggies and seafood. I need need need to get some water down.
7pm and after are my weak times. I always want to snack after I put the kiddies to bed. Wish me luck! :carrot: |

I'm all for losing weight for any season really lol :) I don't have a specific goal in mind. I just want to keep doing what I'm doing and lose whatever my body will have cared to let go of by then. So far so good. Of course, I wish the weight was coming off sooner rather than later but oh well, as long as it's going down, that's what counts right? I already found a nice tankini when I was in Florida last November! First time I own a bathing suit that I actually like. The sad thing is...it will probably be too big by the time I get to wear it again. Ohhh the irony! :dizzy: Good thing it was on sale ;) |

I lack in the menu plammimg dept. So sometimes we end up having things that are not so good for us. We have stopped eating out almost every night. I hope to get one lap around the civic center tonight before I crash.
