I guess I can't be so involved when my internet doesn't work for most of a day, eh?

Marge - have FUN! Eat good, and lots of walking!! I shall miss you!

I did NOT do good yesterday, I felt really sick most of the day and ended up not eating, very very bad. I ate at 2am though, eek, we were out and I stopped myself from having too much, I had a 7 layer burrito from taco bell. It did make my tummy feel better... how ironic! I did manage to get a run in though, turns out we are only going about 2-2.5 miles. I just compare it to the fact I used to run 3 miles a day, and that doesn't seem so great. I'll build it up!

Wow, Aimee, I don't think I could even run 1/4 mile without practically passing out, so you're doing great! Maybe all your tummy needed was something, so whether it was Taco **** or a perfectly balanced meal, it was probably just happy to not be empty anymore

HAVE FUN, MARGE!!

I just spent a few hours in the kitchen. I made some more blueberry muffins for Jeff for breakfast during the week (although I used a few too many blueberries--oops!--oh well, extra antioxidants ). We also went grocery shopping and bought TONS of food, so when we got back, I took a bit of time to clean out the fridge and reorganize the freezer and cabinets so that everything would fit. Then I spent a while washing and cutting up a bunch of fruit and made a big fruit salad! I sliced up some fresh strawberries, watermelon, red seedless grapes, and kiwi and also added a bag of frozen peach slices and a bag of frozen pineapple chunks--YUM! Now I think I'm ready for a nap

Ooh, I also bought some more Slim Fast type shakes. I still have some chocoalte royale Slim Fast Optima shakes, plus I bought some Atkins vanilla ones (I think maybe they are being discontinued? They were $4.99 instead of the regular $6.99, but maybe they were just on sale), some "high protein" Slim Fast strawberry ones, and some Slim Fast "low carb diet" chocolate ones. I checked for the EAS, but they just had the rehular, not the low-carb (or high protein?), and the Luna ones were WAY high in carbs, so I didn't get those. I wish I could buy just 1 can of each kind to try rather than 4 or 6 at a time--I just want to find out which ones I like best

Sooooooo excited about starting the new job tomorrow!!!

Hiya ladies:

Jill, good luck tomorrow! Will be looking forward to a report! As far as the shakes go, yeah, it's too bad you can't sample just one! If you lived close enough I would send you an EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control shake! You would definitely like the taste.

Aimee: Losing weight IS hard! It is on my mind 24/7. Always has been--always will be, no matter what I weigh. It is part of my identity, I suppose....I really HATE that.

Marge: have a great time! We look forward to seeing you back in a few days!

It's been a nice weekend weather wise...lots of sun, even though it is a chilly 50 degrees (which is COLD in Florida!). Did laundry, Sat around the pool with our friends yesterday, went to dinner and Barnes & Noble last night, then went to see Alan's folks this morning. Now we're back home--Alan is working at his desk and I am surfing and chatting. Will be fixing dinner in a bit, then some good television--Simpsons and the Sopranos.

Will see y'all tomorrow!

Alright, so all of my babbling about being prepared for not losing weight on this weigh in tomorrow? Well Josh forgot my regular scale, so we went and BOUGHT a scale, it's way off my regular one. Its likely right, but now I won't know if I lost any weight this week. Josh did bring a diff scale, I got on it, reset it (it wasn't zero'ed), so I changed it by 5 pounds, and then it said the SAME weight as before. I know it shouldn't make a huge difference, but I'm not really prepared to weigh this much... who knew a scale could really crush someone so much.. I admit I've cried.

Jill - you have to be excited about the new job tomorrow! I hope all goes perfectly

Jen - While I'm prepared to deal with weight loss, you can't always control your surroundings, we went out Sat night and they ONLY had chips and dip, and that was to be my dinner. I went for salsa and baked taco chips, but not a good dinner!

I'm going to do all my measurements tomorrow, gotta try and focus on some positives, I'm pretty bummed about this new weight. I totally thought I'd make it below 200 for this summer, I got another 1-2 months of work. Alright, too much complaining I suppose..

Aimee: I know how disappointing it is to see such a difference on the scale. I know the numbers on the scale SHOULDN'T matter, but they do. It's the only immediate tangible proof that what we are doing is working. Don't worry sweetie--soon enough, your weight will no longer begin with a 2!

As for me, my official weigh in was today--another 6 lbs gone, for a total of 12 lbs gone in the two weeks I've been on this new plan. I've lost a total of 19.5 lbs since the beginning of the year, and I am down 30 pounds from my highest weight ever. I would like to be at 299 (another 11 lbs) for my birthday on April 15th, which is about three weeks away. It's possible!

Hi chicks! I'm taking a break from packing. Yup! that's right p-a-c-k-i-n-g! We FINALLY found a house! So I haven't been avoiding you all on purpose, but it is so time consuming. If you would like to see the house it's at www.starhomerealty.com under their 'featured listings' it's the one at 700 N. Mason St or on realtor.com the MLS number is 20509840. We're pretty excited, only took 8 months to find one!

Weight is forever waiting to drop. I hate all the staying the same. Grr. I'm in 18 pants and misses xl tops though so i'm losing some inches somwhere! gotta get back to work. hope to catch up more often...

Sara, it's ADORABLE! And that is a lot of house for the price!! Something like that in Florida where I live would be twice the price!

Best wishes to you and your partner!

Jen - thank you.. I was pretty crushed. This morning I am weighing in at 258.2, thats 59 pounds to get out of this 200 stuff.. I am closer to 300. Alright, no thinking, just doing. I am having a healthy breakfast, definitely going for a run.. just keep doing what I'm doing. I did lost 8 inches, I can't discredit that at ALL. And when I started all of this, I really made inches my goal, not pounds.

Phew, I'm going to go eat my breakfast.. and rebound quickly from that silly scale CRAP!!

Jen - this is crazy, eh? Just you and I... Things are alright today, I definitely went a little overboard yesterday, about 1900 calories and 34 grams of fat! I could have done worse damage, and I did still exercise. I gotta get better on the food thing if I plan to get out of these 250's soon! I'd ideally like to be losing 1 pound every 2 days, lol.. I aim high, eh? I feel like i'm exercising enough to be at that level tho...

Today is Josh's bday, and we are going shopping! I like shopping, even if it's not supposed to be for me... hehe.. I better go get ready! Have a good day!

PS - I'm insanely jealous of that weight loss...

Aimee, you may find that eating the little more for a few days will get you to start losing.

Sara, your new house is so cute! I like the way the front door faces to the right; someone must have added the bump-out at some point in the home's history. The kitchen looks nice and big, and look at all those windows. Yay for you!

I maintained this week, which is fine after losing 4 last week. I've not been doing too well with eating the last three days; Howie and I have noshed at night and not shown a whole lot of restraint.

We did have one marvelously healthy dinner Sunday night, though: charcoal-grilled chicken breast, green beans with red onion and slivered almonds, grilled bell peppers, baked sweet potato with SmartBalance spread, and tomatoes with low-fat cottage cheese.

Kimberley, leave it to you to take pictures of your food! LOL

Aimee: Don't be too jealous....it will probably not be a big loss this next week. Although it is an average of 2-4 lbs a week, those 6 lb weeks are common in the beginning and then trail off.

You are doing GREAT! Don't let that little scale thing get to you!

Whew, day 2 of the new job done! I like it so far--they've thrown me into a few things, so I don't have that initial few days of boredom ("here, read the employee handbook..."), which is really nice. And all the people seem really great so far, and there are a LOT of men in the group (as compared ot my last group that was ALL women and only one poor man!), so I'm hoping there will be less petty drama

Aimee--8 inches is awesome! I would love to lose some inches! Of course, with my luck, I'd lose inches off of like my arms or calves when I really want to lose this darn gut and back fat...if only we could spot-reduce...

Sara--that house is soooo cute! And I am soooo jealous! A co-worker at my old job just bought a townhouse around here (a TOWNHOUSE--as in barely ANY lawn and naighbors ATTACHED on both sides) with 3 bedrooms and a 1-car garage, and it was a bit over $400k (I think list price was $417, and they paid $407). We currently pay $1206 a month on our 2-bedroom apartment, so a real mortgage payment is not in our very near future (ar at least not as long as we live in this area)!

I've been better yesterday and today about my food. I've gotten back into tracking stuff in fitday, which is definitely a good habit to get back into. I've been at less than 1500 calories both days, so I feel like I'm finally getting back into the swing of things.

OH, and I tried the Atkins brand vanilla shake today--NASTY! Of course, I will drink 3 more because I can't handle the idea of throwing out 3 shakes when the 4-pack cost me 5 bucks, but it sure does leave a taste in your mouth that is so appalling you wouldn't want to eat anything else, so I guess it works In fact, it made me drink a whole bottle of water immediately afterwards

I have to tell a story... it goes.. once upon a time a fairly poor girl went into a store and held Manolo Blahnik's in her hand. They were the wrong size, but I still was in awe. 600 dollar shoes, wowsers. I went and tried on cheaper shoes, Kenneth Cole, wow, also a great store. I was looking for sandles and didn't find any good ones, their shoes fit SO nicely, I can't even express. I have a pair at home, HUGE heels, but feel like socks!

Jill - I wish those inches came off my gut area, they came off my legs mostly, my arms a little and my bust. I am EXTREMELY impressed with my new found muscles, love 'em

Woops, we are off to a bday dinner! TTYL!
