NOPE! I had the giggles Cheryl! when I first started to read the glitter writing, I thought it said stinky Gayle instead of Shelley, Gayle... LOL!
Your doing a great job Cheryl!
My baby is HOME! We left the house this morning at 5 am and three and a half hours later I was hugging my boy! His first words to me were "Wow! What did you do to yourself? You look great!" Tim laughed and patted his belly and said "Your mom gave 30 pounds to me!"
We had a wonderful day today catching up, but the topper came at dinner...after Tim said grace our little 2 1/2 year old granddaughter said she wanted to pray too, so we bowed our heads again and Emma says "Dear God, thank you for our food and I like Uncle Travis. Amen." Yep, there wasn't a dry eye in the house!
Travis and Noell have been up since yesterday morning and we were all up early this morning too, so we are calling it an early night and we're all heading off to bed, but I wanted to share my wonderful day with you all first!
I can sense the joy coming from within you Suzy! Enjoy your family while they are with you! I'm so happy Travis is back in the States safe & sound. God bless!!!
Suzy thanks for sharing your first day with Travis. I felt like I went through some of your emotions as you anxiously awaited Travis to come home, so it is wonderful that you shared your excitement and joy with us. You did a great job losing weight.
Cheryl were all flashers. I feel like I am up in lights on broadway. lol
Thanks for starting a new thread for us. You are such a help.
A few of us got an email from Sherry today. She has been moving the last three weeks, they will be staying at the old house this weekend then they will be at their new house. Chris was home on a leave helping them move.
Mom is still in the hospital so it is busy. I was sick til saturday but am feeling much better now.
Got lots of running to do so I better run. Does that count Shelley?
I have been so busy busy at work that it's not even funny!
I messed up on one of the files I was working on and got my A$$ chewed by a superior--he told me that it wasn't even a mistake, it was BORDERLINE STUPIDITY!! I went in my boss' office and cried. He's been picking on her, too, so she was sympathetic.
Stewart is up and around, back to work next Tuesday. At his 1-week checkup the doctor told him that he didn't have to put the screen in his stomach because Stewart had such good muscle mass. The Dr. also told Stewart that he's healing better than anyone else he's ever seen. (Must be because he cleaned the house.)
Suzy--I'm glad Travis is home. Enjoy him.
Dee--how's Dez? And did your son ever get married?
Hello to everyone!
Oh--and Shelley, sorry I haven't been over to the exercise thread lately. Guess my April goal has gone to pot!
Cheryl that is an aweful thing your superior said to you. I hope that something can be done about the way he treated you. I am glad that you have a supportive boss.
Steward sounds like he is well on his way. He must have been proud when the doc said that he was healing so quickly.
Knotty, Knotty don't give up on exercising this month. We still have a week an a half to go. You may not meet your goal but you can give it all you got for the rest of the month.
Dez seen her surgeon last week and her inscision has finally healed up. He told her I hope I never see your butt again. He is such a funny doctor.
We are going to see mom right after we have dinner tonight. I haven't heard how she is feeling today yet. Her oxygen levels have been between 70 and 83 with oxygen. They should be 100 but for her 94-96 is good. Dez was there yesterday and said that she didn't look well and that she was really grouchy. I am going to try and get her out of her room tonight. I know that she wanted to go for a stroll yesterday but there weren't any wheelchairs available at the time my dad or Dez was there.
Hope you all have a good night and aren't to stinky like some other Floozie I know.
Cheryl-You are doing an amazing job while our Sherry finishes moving. I'm glad Stewart is on the mend.
Dee-My dad turns 83 today. I am having them over for dinner tonight. Just spaghetti and my mom will bring a pie. Passover isn't really over until 8 tonight, so I'm hoping my dad will give in a couple of hrs. early. I'm so glad that Dez is healed! It has been a long time. I'm sending prayers your way for your mom.
Suzy-I'm sure you are in high heaven right now with Travis around. I'm so happy for you.
Sherry-Thank you so much for the update. I hope you get settled in quickly and come back to the board. We all miss you so much!
Gayle-I wish I could help on the dinner situation, but as you know, I have just starting cooking myself! It sounds like it would work though.
I miss everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been posting much. It seems everytime I have a long post, the computer turns off. I had better go now before it does again.
I saw a coyote while I was walking yesterday. I think it was running parallel to me in the woods, because I kept hearing something. Then I stopped and waited, very still, and it came out of the woods. It took a few steps toward me but then it "realized" I was there and turned around and ran back into the woods.
It's amazing how something so much like a dog can look SO un-dog-like!
Cheryl that is an amazing story. I think it is neat that you can walk amoung the wild life. I am glad that you aren't being to Knotty and that you are walking.
Shelley my mom has a birthday on the 30th. She is turning 72. Thanks for the prayers for mom. That is nice that you are having your dad over for dinner tonight. So when you said that you hoped that your Dad would give in a couple hours early because it is still passover..........what do you mean by that? Is pasta not allowed?
Gayle as for cooking your dinner I think that the steaks would be better to cook just before serving. They won't take long anyways. If you do them sooner they may be dried out a bit. Everything else could be prepared before hand though.
Mom is having a breathing test today to determine if she can live without oxygen. It is amazing how quickly one can go down hill. She was doing pretty good last night when we seen her.
I have to go get ready I am going to do an hour of lane swimming.
Mom had her test yesterday and it looks like she will have to go home with oxygen. It may not be permenent but we will have to see how she does. She should be released soon.
Gayle how is Steve doing? Was his surgery a sucess? He was in my prayers yesterday.
It is a beautiful sunny day here. We are having temps above normal. I just got to love that.
We don't have any exciting plans for the weekend. Who knows what we will end up doing. How about you guys? We know that Suzy will be busy visiting and cooking up a storm, Sherry is busy moving, and maybe Shelley is recouperating from her Dad's birthday party.
What ever you do to this weekend I hope you enjoy it.
Just a quick hello to let you all know that I'm still here and thinking of you! We're cramming as much fun into the week as we possibly can and having a wonderful time! I'm checking my weight every morning just as a reminder not to go overboard this week and so far so good...no loss, no gain.
Dee ~ Prayers are being said for your mom!
Cheryl ~ I'm glad to hear that Stewart is doing so well and heading back to work!
Shelley ~ Good to hear from you...I hope you can get the computer problems worked out soon!
Thank you so much for the stinky Gayle banner Cheryl! I feel sooooo loved!
Glad Stewart is getting along so well! Sounds like he needs to continue housework, must be good for him, look how fast he healed! LOL!
Suzy, I'm glad your having fun! Remember, you can always get back OP after Travis & Noelle go home.
Dee, glad mom is going home! Will she need the oxygen 24/7??? Is she set in 2?? Lack of oxygen can cause all kinds of problems including memory loss.
The surgery went well! Steve is amazed, he can see again in that eye! They went in, sucked out the cateract and fitted a new artifical eye lens into his eye giving him perfect 20/20 vision in that eye. His right eye isn't bad enough yet to have the surgery so he will wear one contact in his right eye or he can wear his glasses with the right lens removed and a piece of clear lens in its place. He is recovering over the weekend. Steve says thank you for the prayers and well wishes. NOW, he wants you all to send him nude pics so he can test out his new eye sight! LOL!
