Gayle ~ I'm sorry to hear that your FIL is back in the hospital. The poor man sure has had a rough time of it lately. I'm keeping him in my prayers.

Shelley ~ I'm sure you have reported all these new arrivals to the police department. Have they interviewed the person you suspect is responsible? Seems like they should be able to do something to stop this guy...it's clear cut harrassment!

Janice ~ You've been on my mind all afternoon...how did your appointment go today?

Home for awhile to check on things. FIL is still in ICU and looks like he will be there awhile. I stayed Thursday night, all day & night Friday. I'm home for awhile today and then will be going back later to spend the night. He has infection and numerous other things going on.

Suzy, thank you for always finding the time to post. Please don't get discouraged with us, hopefully things will settle down for everyone and we will start seeing more activity here on the board.

Shelley, I really do think it is who you suspect, too many similarities. Hopefully, the cops will go off of what you have told them as their lead. Bet someone is going to be upset when they see their credit card statement!

Good morning everyone. Well.. its the afternoon but I am sure it is morning for some of you. Nothing is new here. I lost another .6th of a pound. Whoopee. Lets organize a parade. I was so angry than i stormed out of my weight watchers meeting. Now that i think about it. I seemed a little bratty. I did some investigating into what i have been eating and i have found the culprit. We have a place called Moe's southwestern grill which is like a Taco Bell but edible. Its to die for. I usually get a grilled chicken burrito with no beans. It has rice, chicken, some cheese ( i ask for a little), tomatos and lettuce ( i ask for extra of those to fill it up). Its wrapped up in a tortilla. Okay so i calculated it at around 10 points. It comes with chips but i rarely eat them. I went online and this piece of crap burrito has like 35 grams of fat and 911 calories. I almost passed out. I was soooooo mad. Their quesadilla with chiken has 5 grams of fat and 250 calories. Dont fast food places have to have their nutritional information showing? uggghhhh
Anyway.. I am an aunt again. My sister in-law had a baby yesterday. A little boy. He was 8 lbs 7 oz. He is HUGE. He is absolutly adorable. My neice is in for a rude awakening though. She is spoiled rotten. God i want a baby so bad.
Tonight my huspand and i are celebrating Valintine's day since he works late during the week because of tax season. We are going to dinner in the city and out to a bar. Bye Bye flex points. Luckily i went to the gym this morning so that gives me more room.

Gayle- I am sorry about your father in law. I hope he gets better soon.

Gayle - So sorry to here your FIL is back in the hospital. You are in my prayers.
Suzy - thanks for asking. It went okay. I told him that the anti-inflammatories hadn't worked at all. He changed meds again. This is the third time. I went for more blood work.
So far the tests that he has back show that I don't have Lupus, or rhuematoid arthritis. All xrays are also normal for my age.
He says I have to hang in there and he will make me feel better. I told him I have never felt so bad in my life.
It is so frustrating - weeks go by without a change.
Enough ranting about me.
How is everyone else doing?

Janice, I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I know how frustrating it can be when you feel sick and you aren't being helped. If you need someone to talk to i am here to listen.

Janice-Has he checked your heart? I saw this thing on Discovery Health and it showed a woman in pain for years, which the drs. couldn't figure anything out. After losing her husband and her will to do anything, she finally found a dr. who said she had a heart condition that causes all this. Anyway, I think it's something similar to what Dee has. Why not have it checked out?

Gayle ~ I'm continuing to keep your FIL in my prayers.

Don't worry...I'm not going to get discouraged with the Floozies. You all have become very good friends and I care about each and every one of you!

Erin ~ Oh boy...some of those innocent looking foods sure can hide a ton of calories can't they? I was shocked by quite a few of my favorites when I first started counting calories. Now that you know the cold hard truth you can make some better choices and hopefully next weeks weigh-in will be better!

Janice ~ The good news is that you don't have lupus or rheumatoid arthritis and that all of your x-rays are normal. Did the doctor maybe mention testing for fibromyalgia? I don't know a lot about it, but I do know that it is often diagnosed after lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, MS and other things are ruled out. Hang in there...it sounds like you have a good doctor who isn't going to quit until he finds the problem.

Travis called last night and said that he should be back in the states sometime between March 28th and April 4th! Let the countdown begin...44 days!

Suzy-How exciting for you!!! You will see your baby very soon!

Vicki-Good to see you here!!

Praise the Lord!! Becky called me and said she decided on going to USF. Yay!!! We will send in the deposit ASAP so she can't change her mind. Now we don't have to take the trip to Orlando the end of this month. We'll go back up to Tampa instead in the near future.

Wow! No action at all yesterday! Was everybody celebrating President's Day? I left work early yesterday, came home and walked (as you know, I never walk.) I was still sore from my 15.5 mile run the day before, so I decided to walk. It was beautiful! It's in the 80's here and hot.

Gayle-Still praying for FIL.

Hi Suzy! 42 days to go!

Sherry-How are you feeling? I really miss you.

Erin-How did you do yesterday on your plan?

Janice-Prayers still coming your way from me.

Dee-I miss you!!

Debbie, Doni, Vicki, Bev, everyone! Have a great day!

I have a question for all you girls. What do you think of aspartame. With feeling so crummy and no medication working, I have started looking at what I eat. I drink a lot of diet pop, crystal lite, etc. I take to gravol at night to sleep. I have read a lot of terrible things about aspartame and a lot of good things. Where is the truth? What do you believe.
I have stopped both aspartame and gravol as of yesterday. I will let you know if it makes a difference in the swelling and stiffness.
What will I drink instead of diet stuff?

Janice, I'm no help with the Aspartame question. I drink 1-2 diet pops a day and sweeten with Spenda. At this point I seem to get along ok. I'm not sure what Gravol is. Sorry your still hurting, I hope you can find something to relieve you soon.

Shelley, I'm sorry I'm away right now. With FIL in the hospital, it has been an emotional rollercoaster. Dealing with complications, nutty relatives etc. He is still in ICU at this point. Last night was the first night we slept in our bed since last Thursday. I also feel bad I'm not joining you on the exercise thread. I have not even thought of trying to find a free minute to add exercise into the schedule.

Shelley ~ Yes, 42 days...the countdown has begun! I get more and more excited with each day. A couple more weeks and I'll be bouncing off the walls!

Congratulations to Becky! USF is a good school and Tampa is such a nice area!

Vicki ~ I agree about those temps...BURR! I think Shelley needs to share some of her 80 degree weather with us! It will be months before I can even dream of temps like that!

Janice ~ I don't use any artificial sweeteners of any kind. I would rather go without or have a little of the real thing than put those chemicals in my body if I don't have to. It certainly couldn't hurt you to eliminate it from your diet to see if it makes a difference in how you feel. I usually drink water or tea...boring I know, but it really is better for you! I'm not sure what gravol is either, but if you don't need it and can get by without it then all the better!

Gayle ~ You must be positively worn out! I hope you FIL starts improving and that you all can get back on a more normal schedule soon!

Janice-I live on artificial sweetners. My mom and dad stopped them though. They are convinced that some of my mom's hip problems have to do with it. She says she feels better after not being on it for a few months. They do drink stuff with Splenda. I have no idea what Gravol is either. Please explain..

Gayle-I didn't mean to make you feel guilty. You are so busy with caring for everybody. Have you even been able to go to work? I wish I could help you!

Shelley, you didn't make me feel guilty, I just feel bad I can't join you over there...I bet it is getting lonely. I am working when I can, same with Steve & his siblings. Tonight I came home & Steve will be staying through the night. FIL had a really good day today and actually ate a small amount. The doctors threatened to eat or a permanent feeding tube will be inserted. I am tired, in fact all of us are. Nerves are starting to set in and tempers are starting to act up. Joys of taking care of the ill. Tell Becky congrats!!! I meant to post it in the last message and it slipped my mind!

Suzy, FIL has COPD in the later stages. He can be helped to overcome some hurdles but the disease continues to progress. I will be happy if he gets to go home. At this point it is just a guessing game. I bet you are marking the days off the calendar!!!! We will know to not expect a posting from you during the visit! I bet he will be shocked with your weight loss! GREAT JOB!
