Vicki-I'm the other one with the in-law issues. I'm glad that you were able to have a good time shopping with her though. I'm not sure I could handle that and dinner too. You are amazing to be able to provide care for those little ones at your daycare. It has to be rough at times, but it sounds like you are doing okay with it. Glad your mom came through the teeth surgery okay.

Janice-Maybe once the meds kick in more you will have more relief.

Suzy-Yes, please do post pics. We always like to see what our Floozie's can do!

Gayle-I know Ramona is very overwhelmed. Please let me know as soon as you hear from her. I also sent Sherry and email.

It's cold here!! Overcast and definitly not Fl weather! I ran 12.5 miles today and even wore a long sleeve shirt. I can't remember the last time I kept one on the whole way. Had to wear gloves too!

The people next door to us put their house up for sale $982,500.00. I don't think anyone would pay that kind of money with our house next door to them. This should be interesting.

Wow Shelley! Those people want about $930,000.00 more then our house is worth!!! What kind of monthly payment would that make?
I hope you hear back from Sher, I hope she isn't away because of something serious.
It is really cold here today too along with the wind blowing.

Hi all-I received this note from Sherry:

Shelley,
Thanks for writing and asking about me. I'm doing better. I've been real sick.My b/p got VERY high and the doctor wanted to admit me in the hospital but I talked her out of it.She was afraid that I would have a stroke. I've got it down a lot but it's still a little high.I had a headache for 6 days straight. It's been aweful.

I haven't posted anywhere lately. I'm coming back soon. I was just going to take care of my health first. I'm going back to work tomorrow.I go back to the doctor Thursday.

Tell everyone hello & that I love you all. Thanks again Shelley. I miss you & the gang.
Love,
Sherry

Let's all keep Sherry in our prayers, and hope she comes back here soon!!

Shelley, thanks for posting the update on/from Sherry.

I'm not sure yet if I can tell a difference with my ears stapled. The right one itches a little (b/c that's the side I sleep on), but other than that I forget they're there.

I have lost 4 pounds since last Monday, but I attribute that more to the diet I've been on.

Ladies, I think I have a problem, but I'm not sure I want to talk about it right now, because I feel stupid about it. Let me simmer for awhile and I'll be back to discuss it. Maybe.

Prayers sent Sherry for a speedy recovery! I hope they can do what they need to with your meds to get your BP under control. If you need anything, let us know! WE MISS YOU!

Shelley, thank you for taking the time to send Sher a note. There is always a reason for everything, I should of knew it was something serious with Sher for her to be away from the board so long.

Cheryl, share if you wish. We are here to offer friendship and support. Just know if it is something really bothering you, we can be your venting post.
CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!!! SUPER JOB!!!

Hola everyone.... and welcome Kim even though i feel silly saying that since I am so new myself. Shelley I so don't want to hear complaining about having to wear gloves..lol. When you get almost 2 feet of snow. Then we can talk. I HATE IT!!!! I NEED SPRING DARNNIT!!!! I was off today for one of the presidents birthday's so i went to the gym and the mall and the book store. It was nice. I got to use some of my gift cards that i got for christmas. It was nice to be alone. I snowed in all weekend with DH and my best friend who is in the process of divorcing her huspand keeps calling me crying. I swear i am going to start charging her insurance company as her psychotherapist if this keeps up. I should set up a practice or somthing and get paid. I feel more stressed out over this than she does i swear. Thank god for caller ID. I cant take another 45 minute discussion on whether she should take the air conditioner or not. She wants me to drive up to see her on Wed after work which is like 1 1/2 hours away and i have a chance to get overtime that night. <banging head against the wall> Oh well... what are friends for.
On another note.. I have been exercising a lot. I did 45 min of cardio 3 times this week (since thursday). If i dont lose a nice amount of weight this week i will be so mad.
Anyway.. what is everyone doing for Valentine's day? (its my favorite holiday!)
Cheryl if you need somone to talk to my ears are open.

Erin

Cheryl-Please know we are here as your friends to listen. It's up to you whether you want to share with us or not. BTW, Great weight loss!

Erin-I went to send my post and you were posting at the same time! I'm not doing anything special for Valentine's Day. I haven't even gotten Mike a card and don't know if I'll get out to do it.

I'm not feeling very well. I've had a headache all day. I'm going to go lay down. Have a great night, everyone!

Erin, great job on the exercising! Keep in mind if you do not show a loss this week it could be because of the fluid your muscles could be holding from the extra workouts.
Nothing special here for Valentines! Hubby out of town so we gave each other our cards before he left. We plan to have a nice meal out (alone!) sometime after he returns. I do have plans for the evening with a bottle of merlot!! LOL!

Shelley, I hope your feeling better sweetie!
I wanted to share about my Parrotlet, Bosco. He is now quite the showoff! He has mastered: "Bosco, pretty bird", "here kitty, kitty", "no bite" plus a few other sounds and words. He actually says the things like I do. For example I really carry out the Here.......then do a fast kitty, kitty. He is quite the mimic. Tonight I had to giggle. When I cover him I have been saying in a soft voice "sleep". When I placed the covering on the cage he was inside saying ever so quietly, "sleep" plus a soft chirp or two.
It must be their nature, I remember you saying Brutus only liked you. Bosco turns into a pit bull with everyone else in the house!

Cheryl, we are here if you need us!

Suzy, did you guys get any snow?

It was in the 60's here today! Same forecast for tomorrow then to drop down into the 30's again! I need to get some pond work done tomorrow after work while the weather is nice. We went the month of January without any snow, it is so dry here.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE! HOPE YOUR SWEETHEARTS ARE GOOD TO YOU.

We aren't doing much, I am working until 7 tonight. We will probably go out for dinner on the weekend.
Sherry - I hope you get feeling better soon. We miss you and we all worry about you. Prayers are sent your way.

Ok, here is my problem:

Stewart got us dish network last month "for my birthday." Well, I found out last week-end that for the past week (or maybe even longer), he has been getting up earlier to watch soft porn on Cinemax. Now, do you see why I feel stupid for having this problem? I don't understand why this bothers me so much, but IT DOES!! It's not like he's physically cheating on me, but I feel like, in a way, he is cheating on me. I mean, I'm laying in bed asleep and he's in the living room getting his kicks by watching other people (women) having sex.

Plus, now whenever we have sex I'm afraid that he's picturing these other people instead of actually "being" with me. I tried talking to him about it when I found out what he was doing. He, of course, doesn't feel like he's doing anything wrong (so he says), but he's been mad at me ever since I tried talking to him and telling him how I feel.

I'm just not sure what to do.

My uncle died on Thursday. I went to his visitation on Sunday night and got home fairly late. When I turned on "my" t.v. in our bedroom yesterday morning, it was on Cinemax, too!! I locked those channels off of my t.v.--I'm tempted to lock them off of his t.v. in the living room, but I know it would make him even madder at me!

Anyway, thanks for "listening"

Cheryl

Cheryl ~ I don't know why you should feel stupid...I would be upset too! It makes it even worse that you told him how you felt and he didn't even bother to take your feelings into consideration...I would be furious. I wish I had a solution for you, but I really don't know what to tell you. Just know that I'm here for you and more than willing to listen!

Also, my sympathies for the loss of your uncle. It sounds like you have had a lot to deal with lately.

BTW...Congratulations on the 4 pounds lost!

Gayle ~ We were on the very edge of the storm and only got a couple of inches of snow...we were LUCKY!

Shelley ~ I hope you're feeling better today!

Erin ~ You are really doing great with the exercise! Keep it up!

Sherry ~ I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't been well! Feel better soon!

Vicki ~ I'm glad you checked in...we have missed hearing from you!

Janice ~ I'm glad you checked in too! Just post a quick "hello"...even if you don't have anything going on we still like to know that you are here and ok!

My grandgirls are here today, so we're going to make Valentine's dinner for everyone tonight...maybe we'll even break out a tablecloth and some candles! Have a great Valentine's Day everyone!

Cheryl, check your messages. I am so sorry to hear about your uncle, your family is in my prayers sweetie.

Suzy, have fun tonight with hubby and the girls! Candles sound so sweet! I love dressing up the table or having a meal with a theme just for the heck of it. The girls & I are on our own tonight, if I give them a choice, we will be having mac & cheese! LOL!
