Marie have you ordered any yarn ebay? I didn't do any sewing yesterday or knitting. We played cards with friends last night. We laughed alot ate a few too many snacks and indulged a bit. I am going back on track this a.m.. Also baking the kids some cupcakes w/frosting and heart sprinkles. I think sewing is in order for the day. I am going to fit my workouts in starting monday in the a.m. that way no excuses. Hope your cold is better with that little one coming soon. Hot tea with honey.
Judy hope your having a relaxing week end. Did you get the snow and high winds? It missed us completly so far. It is gray cloud coverage this a.m. and doesn't look like the sun will shine today unless it changes around. I was all ready for a snowy weekend but glad it missed us. I prob. would of done some inside projects. My future son in law put our ceiling fan in its really nice and is run by a remote the light and fan. That will be really nice this summer.

Morning Judy and Carol. I did knit for a little yesterday but mostly I was a bum. Didn't seem to help since the cold is worse today. I'm going to knit for a while and take a nap. but this time I'm unplugging the phone. Durning my nap yesterday, the phone kept ringing - DS's GF's family to know if the baby arrived. Don't they get it that we'll let them know??? It was really frustrating.

Carol, I haven't bought yarn on ebay. That just sounds strange. Have you? Yesterday, there were TWO splices in the pine Lion Brand. Definitely never buying that yarn again. It's very irritating. Luckily I overbought that color so I'm not short.

I looked at weather.com and our beautiful weather is supposed to end on Tuesday. We've had sunny and 50's for a week. I was really hoping winter was gone, but no such luck.

Well, I will chat with you later. And Carol, I will try tea and honey.

Well, the snow came and it's gorgeous outside, and luckily I didn't have to venture out into it this weekend. I've been puttering away at chores and small projects. Also got workouts in yesterday and today. This morning I did one I haven't done in a long time, Karen Voight's "Burn and Firm" circuit. Oh, my God, it's hard! It challenges muscles that I guess don't get much action at Curves. I got through it, although I couldn't do much with the ab parts. I also changed my ticker this morning. I'm within a couple of pounds of my Val's Day goal, so I won't cancel my celebratory massage Monday night, woo-hoo! I would like to reach the goal by Friday, which is the final Curves Challenge weigh-in. I've been eating well all weekend, and will play Home Spa tonight before going to bed early, so I can start the week in the best possible frame of mind.

Let's hear it for relaxing, playing cards and being a bum!

judy and Marie I went for a winter walk around the lakes yesterday with my two friends. The walk was defintly a bit harder in the snow and I can feel it today. So it was a good workout. We have plans to do it again on wed. Not too many others out just mainly cross country skiers. Back to work today. I did talk to my daughter in law in Hawaii they are as excited as us. They have us all booked up for snorkeling, whale watching, shopping, crater sightseeing really close to their house and kayaking. So needless to say we will be busy including some camping if we can fit it in. They are working extra now to take some time off for long weekend. Meanwhile we will venture on our own. No renting a car which will save us a bit. They just bought a 1949 chevy pickup truck so Dad will enjoy that for sure. Fun time and only 25 days away! I will miss my site when I am gone. Yesterday was a good eating day for the most part I did sneak in a little pineapple cake. But saturday evening the snacks were not healthy nor the few drinks. Gotta stay away from all of that. It was fun but now over time to be serious.
Marie I looked on ebay wow lots of yarn all kinds. Check it out you'll be surprised. Most likely people buy to much and have leftovers or decide never to do the project. When I get back I will ck it again. I have made around 100.00 for my trip by selling a few finds from garage sales. I paid under 10.00 and made that much. Kind of fun! Good vacation money. I have an appt. to get my hair done and tan before my trip. Time to pamper oneself. We don't do it often. I took a hot bath and was so relaxed last night I hit the sack at 9.Have a healthy motivated day ladies.

I just packed Kashi bars for my desk good mornig break stuff and low in cals high in fiber and protien.

Good morning Carol and Judy. WTG on the weigh loss Judy, you're doing grat. Good job on the exercise video too. I remember days that I could do those hard videos, but not more. One thing I found was that if it was too hard, I would quite doing them.

Carol, I did look at ebay yesterday for yarns. I had to eventually close my browser since I was so tempted. I have way too much yarn and I need to stop buying and start knitting more.

No news on the baby front. DS and GF are starting to get impatient. Me, I'm happy baby is staying inside since I have a cold and don't want to get the baby sick.

My cold seems a little better than yesterday. I was really sick yesterday - I took two naps. One was 4 hours long and the other 1 1/2 hours. To say the least I wasn't tired at bedtime. But I must have needed the sleep. I also didn't walk yesterday.

Well, it's time to think about breakfast. TTYL.

marie best not to push yourself too much when your sick. You will only keep it longer and you don't need that. I didn't workout yesterday but I am dressed and stopping at the gym this a.m.. No more excuse only 24 days before I board that plane for Hawaii. I am getting really excited. Everyday someone gives me more information. On sunday my daughter inlaw and I talked about the things we would do and it gave me goose bumps to think wow this is coming really fast. I went shopping for a little while yesterday and purchased a short sleeve shirt. I also stopped in at the tanning salon and will start going on wed. I need a base since the tropical sun will be much stronger need to wear a good tanning lotion as well. I will enjoy having a nice tan this summer. The kids are coming here in May for a wedding and remodeling my garage into a small apt. for my sister inlaw. I went to bed with the chickens last night so I AM up with the roosters this a.m. But that is good as I am going to the gym. Marie feel better and glad you held of purchasing more yarn. I actually thought about selling some I don't intend on using. I made 85.00 on there so far. It will pay for my tanning and my hair to get done for the trip.
Judy hope your doing well keep it up and by friday maybe you'll reach your goal. The girls and I plan on walking the lake on wed. or thurs. So I will have at least those 8 miles in for the week and my workouts 2 I plan today and friday.
My goal to lose4 more lbs. by the 9th. I know I can do it if I just stick to it.
B- raisin bran, 1/2 banana, splash of milk
S- kashi bar 140
L- salad of romaine lettuce, sm tomatoe, cuke, almonds fat free dressing
D- eggplant parm baked not fried, salad, 1/2 cup pasta
S- strawberries frozen right out of the bag my new snack.

Help, I'm surrounded by chocolate!!! It's 4:40, and so far I have ignored the goody bag that was given to me, and I have walked past more chocolates by the front door....so just a quick hello before I flee to the safety of the gym. I've been making very good food choices lately, and I want to keep up the momentum.

I will respond to your posts tomorrow. I just need to come here for minute and get an extra dose of willpower. I think it worked! Thanks

Judy I hear yah valentines day! I worked out in the morning yesterday it felt great. I ate a health breakfast and lunch but then we went for dinner last night. Oh I had seafood platter but it was a smaller portion than most rest. It was good but I did good all day then messed it up a bit. But I worked out hard in the morning. Actually did 3.5 incline, 4.1 speed, 2.75 miles. I jogged for part of my workout. That really bumped up the heart rate which should help burn more calories I think? At any rate going in the morning worked out nicely and I will do it again on friday. My friend and I are going to walk the lake after work tonight. I did manage to eat only one piece of choc. and it wasn't that good which was a plus for me. Sometimes coming on here and checking in helps keep me focused too! Judy your doing great keep it up.
Marie any baby yet? Just think of how much fun it will be to have a little one in your life. I love it all. I stopped to drop off candy hearts and a little homemade soap flower to the little girls the boys got a little match box. Not much but a bit of something from us. I don't give to my own kids just the grans. They all have honeys to give them something. I got roses and candles lite around the house last friday when I arrived home. That was sweet and I appreciated it. Have a great day. I am off to breakfast with a friend this a.m. poached eggs 1/2 order of potatoes, dry rye toast, salad for lunch and a kashi bar. Those kashi bars are great most of them 140 cals. 4 fibers, 5 proteins. Dinner my eggplant I didn't have yesterday w/ a bit of pasta, veggies.
4 miles sunday, 2.75, 4 miles today goal is 12 miles a week.

Good morning Carol and Judy. Valentines Day was nice. I got a dozen roses from DH (an assortment of bright colors that was gorgeous). Then I got a couple little things from co-workers. I like the holiday. I gave one of my chocolates away this morning but have another little pack sitting here. I'm not a big chocolate fan so it's not too much of a temptation.

No baby yet. The dr. will start to induce tomorrow evening so it'll be soon. I'm looking forward to it. I was glad he/she didn't pop out this weekend since I was so sick. I'm getting better so I'm ready again.

I walked yesterday for 2 miles. I had taken Monday and Sunday off and it was amazing how much harder it was to do. I lost a lot of conditioning being sick. But I did it and will again tonight.

Got to work. I'll chat with you later.

Carol, good work on the treadmill! You will look great on the beach.

Marie, I'll be thinking of you and your family these next few days, and expecting to see a picture of the new addition as soon as possible!

No flowers or romance for me, but I had a lovely time last night, drinks and Thai food with friends. Probably not so good for my final weigh-in on Friday, but it felt great to have a night out. It only happens once in a while, so no regrets. I'll be joining a spring challenge on these boards next, and taking it week by week.

Keep up the good work--judy

Marie can't wait to hear about the little bundle. I still need to put a picture on here of the sweater and the grandson. I just got to get to it.
Judy glad you went out with some friends. You have been working very hard and have been so motivated. One night out isn't going to hurt you. After all the hubby and I went out I ate fried seafood and for once was pleased their portions were small. Now that is surely a big change for me. I have been extra motivated this week part of it is due to my trip and the other feeling better. I have as of right now 10.75 miles in including my sunday walk. Now that is just wild for me. My friend and I will meet after work today and put in 4 more miles around the lakes. It seems to be contagous. I hope to see a change on my scale friday. I was tempted to ck. today but didn't. Maybe there will be no difference as it might be building muscle which weighs more. WHo knows but at any rate I know the difference and feel it too! I have to go bathing suit shopping in 9 days! Hope your both having a great day. I even ate a banana for a snack last night before bed better than a cookie or chips etc.....

Jemmama welcome to the site. Journaling my intakes has been very helpful to me. Looks like your tracking well. If we make good choices it is amazing how much food one can really have. Look forward to hearing from you again.
Well girls the scale didn't show any movement but thats okay. I am trying to keep my spirits up. I know when you exercise and tone up muscle weighs more than fat. At least thats what I have read. So I look like I lost my belly fat is shrinking and thats a positive thing. I guess I shouldn't be discouraged as this is my first real week of such increased exercise. I didn't get my walk in yesterday but will go to the gym to do the machines after work. 22 more days until my trip to see the kids. Its coming really fast. I picked up some goodies for them yesterday things hard to get there.
Today I am starting off with a heatlhy breakfast. Because of our wonderful audit lunch is on the company today. Dinosaur Barbeque. So there will be my calories of the day. I will becareful of what I have for dinner. Maybe broiled fish and veggies. I know that scale will move someday !
Take care and have a lovely friday!

Hi, Jemmama! Congratulations on all your hard work so far. It takes a lot of dedication to count calories for so many months, but it looks like it's paid off for you. Which is inspirational for me! Carol is very consistent about posting her eating on this thread.

My final weigh-in was today. We celebrated by sampling high-protein healthy snacks. I knew I'd only lost a few pounds over the six-week period, but it was nice to hear that I'd lost six inches. My hips and abs refused to budge, but that will change. Carol, I bet you're losing inches, too, even when the scale doesn't register that you're getting smaller. What's Dinosaur BBQ? Sounds like fun!

This has been a busy week, and next week will be worse. So this weekend I plan to enjoy myself. On Saturday I'll work out at Curves and see a movie with a friend in the afternoon. I've scored another free facial, yippee, so I'll do that and try not to buy any fancy products that I don't need. On Sunday I'll clean, do laundry and get organized and centered. I will also make the formal switch to another eating program, focused on portions and calories, and not all this tedious counting of grams of carbs, protein, etc.

Marie and Maureen, I hope you're both doing well.

Okay, back to work! Have a great weekend!
