21-Day Challenge!! -- the fun continues!!!
Okay, everyone, I'm starting up a new thread because I got through my first round of 21. At last!! Considering that I started this challenge up on May 25...that was a very long three weeks! :^: But, you see, going back to Day 1 was kind of a thing I did a lot! :lol3:
So, just for the heck of it and because some people may have trouble downloading a long thread, I'm starting this new one. Below is a short explanation of how this challenge works so all you newcomers can take a look and decide if you're game or not! I hope you are! Hop aboard and enjoy the ride. We've got a great bunch of supportive people, so I hope you'll give us a try. I see, looking back on the beginning of the old thread, that we had a lot of people who tried for a while and then disappeared. I hope some of you will give it another try. Remember, it's not over till you give up. And our motto around here is: NEVER GIVE UP!!...Just start OVER!! EXPLANATION: It works like this: you decide you'll do something for 21 days straight, every single day, so keep it doable. Then you count ....one through 21.....and if you flub it, you MUST go back to zero and start over again. Everyone will be on different days. You can start anytime. You get ONE free day for each perfect round of 21 days you complete. I suggest taking it late in the game (better to go back to Day 1 early on) if you need a break or screw up when you're well into the challenge, meaning, when you're on Day 15 or something like that. In any case, the trick is to keep going. The momentum builds and it's great incentive to stick to your guns, cause if you don't.........back to START you go. :( And the really great thing about this challenge is that you are forming new habits that will wipe out the old! AND, you get to do it with a great bunch of really supportive people to whom you are accountable! :grouphug: And, YES, we are watching YOU!! Ready to join us!!?!?! You BET! :dancer: |
busy, busy, busy...
Bumping up the new thread so you all don't get confused. Be sure to go back and check out the latest posts on the old thread because we had a lot of action and newcomers and I wouldn't want anyone to get left out. Curly made us a great flashing "21" as well (she'd made one before but lost it!!) So, fresh starts and second winds for those of you still rolling along. Good luck, everyone!!
Caro -- Thanks for the reminder about starting up a new thread. That's why we're here now! :thanks: And congrats, congrats!! :encore: :cp: :encore: :cp: on making it through your first round of 21 days!! :sunny: I hear you on the boredom. Anyone's plan can get tedious for coworkers and family and friends I suppose. How many times can you tell someone, "I drank my water today!" and expect cheers and pats on the back from them. BUT!!! Here you can! That's the beauty, the beauty of US! We know the hard part's not in the doing, it's in the KEEPING DOING. :spin: And we're keeping doing! Caro, I hadn't realized you'd made not getting on the scale part of your challenge till I re-read your post. Good for you, but it may be tough. I suggest stashing that scale somewhere, in a box with a rope around it or something, anything to make getting out of it easier. There was one woman on here who had her husband hide it for her except for her weigh-in day. But, also, remember not to get your expectations too high for weigh-in day. It's just another day. Chances will always be there that you showed a couple pounds' loss the day before but not exactly on weight-in day. So be careful! And, good luck!! Curly -- thanks for the cool flashing "21" I'm glad you made another one. Store this one away somewhere so you don't lose it and you can whip it out and be our official award presenter when someone clears the finish line! Java -- Heh, I'm with curly on counting your walking as exercise. In any case, you MUST get back in here with us toute suite!!! 1nceagain -- Love your new and improved version of "piece of cake!" Yes, our days will be bowls of sugarfree jello! Oh, and by the way, for the record, our star challenger is curly. She's on her SECOND round of 21! I like how you're planning ahead. That is key to success. Good luck!! Legally -- Glad to see you over here from Basics. As you can see, I'm kept very busy with this thread and just haven't had time to be posting elsewhere. Your challenge is a triple whammy! Wow!! You sure you want to start out so tough?! Well, it's up to you. Good luck and hope to hear from you often! |
Monday night
Hi Ladies - glad you started a new thread Red. Since you started the new thread, I have to repeat my new challenge again - I am participating in the week at a time challenge so I need to remind myself which challenge is for which thread :dizzy: For the next 21 days I am going to track and maintain my weight watchers points. My "bonus" goals (not counting for this challenge) are to drink my water (96oz - 24 over WW requirement) and exercise in some shape or form everyday.
This is Monday and I had a 35 minute walk this afternoon and I am gulping down my last 24 oz before bed. :goodluck: to you all this week! |
Today was day one down with no prob. For now I'm using the same goals as for the week-at-a-time challenge: no wine or chocolate bars. 20 days to go!
Do I get a free day DURING the first 21-day period, or only after it's done? Carla |
free days start the first time!
mscat -- good to see you over here. Yes, good idea to restate your goals, actually as often as possible.
carla -- you start out with one free day. It was a new rule I made this past time. (A long time ago, I used to do these challenges that a 3fc person called Amarantha had started.) It helps people make decisions, the strategy is knowing when to take your free day and that choice is empowering. That's why I added the new rule. Doesn't that just make you feel better!? :) |
Ok, After reading the rules I'm restating my Goal!
My Goal is to exercise every day for 21 days for at least 30 minutes!! I do have one question though, if I have a free day from the first 21 days that I don't use, can I pull it over to the next 21 days? (then I'd have 2 free days?) |
Day one down for me. Honestly, what I ate today wasn't as healthy as it should have been, but I kept my calories down. 1300 right now and I am not going to eat anything else tonight. I need to make it a priority to eat fat-free dairy products and fruits/veggies BEFORE reaching for stuff like 100 calorie packs. They're lifesavers for me and my sweet tooth, but I've started to get into the bad habit of choosing those instead of healthier foods, so I'm going to try to get back into choosing fruits and veggies or low fat/fat free dairy first. Limiting calories is good, but making sure they come from the best foods is better, right?
20 more days to go! |
and the ruling is.....
Legally -- Okay, glad you nudged your challenge down a notch. It would have been really hard doing what you were doing. Not saying you couldn't do it, just think it's good you eased off and went a bit gentler on yourself. Like mscat has her "bonus goals" I am going to do similar, what I will call my "training wheels," which are things I would like to do and will try to keep a tab on but I'm not quite ready to commit to yet.
And, good question with the free day carry-overs. But, as official rule maker around here! :smug: I gave it good thought and am going to say no, you can't carry it over. I want people to get away from the perfectionist kind of thinking that is and can be the ruin of so many of us and our good intentions. You have to ease off some times. And if you don't, well, you don't get any brownie points for it! However, with each completed round of 21, you get another free day anyhow, so you will have two free days when you start Round 2! Okay? |
we have liftoff!!
gray eyed girl -- :bravo: for you on getting through Day 1! You're so right on the good food over bad, and I'm glad to see you're thinking of that. A calorie is NOT just a calorie. I used to give up sugar on these challenges and never lost weight because I would eat tons of brown rice and wholewheat pasta. But, it was okay because the goal was getting rid of the sugar (I did lose the fat around my belly though) and I was healthy! That's why this time I've been trying to make it a more rounded challenge, which was really hard. But, you start with what's hard for you. Good going and good luck!
|
Day 1 down for me as well :)
Congrats Grey Eyed Girl! Doesn't it feel great?!? Thank you for clarifying Red! Ok, since my post is already choppy, I'm off to bed! |
Congrats to Mscat, Caro and Red for hitting the big 21! You go girls...
:cb: :cp: :cheer: :cb: :cp: :cheer: :cb: :cp: And I love the new 21 Curly, thanks for making it for us. Sorry I haven't posted. My DH's computer went out and he always seems to be on mine just when I want to get on it  and I'm trying very hard not to get to bed way too late. Good thing we are starting a new thread as I have to reset back to Day 1. I had hot dogs on Saturday (which I planned for) but then wound up having pizza on Sunday (which I knew I didn't need, shouldn't have and I ate it anyway). It tasted good but 1/2 hour later made me feel really junky the rest of the night. I need to get past this once and for all. It's sort of funny Red how you said you started this in May and it was a very long "3 weeks" to get to this point for you. It puts it in perspective as to how easy it is to lose sight of the goal or give in to temptations, circumstances, feelings, whatever comes along. The turning point for me was realizing just how badly the wrong foods made me feel. So today dawned new and I was ready. I drank my water, ate well and got in a good swim after work. Though I have to admit at one point the temptation of chocolate was much more interesting than the apricots in my snack bag. But I resisted. My challenge is to make good choices about what I'm doing for myself over the next 21 days. I may not be perfect everyday but I need checks and balances and 2 days of sliding down resets the ticker because that is my biggest challenge of them all - doing well for a while, and backsliding and undoing all the good of the past. Good to see fresh new faces along with the reliable old guard. |
movin on over. . .
ok chiickas,
Just re-stating my goal and progress for the new thread. 21 days on SBD-no cheating! in day 2 right now. :ebike: :ebike: |
still deciding....
Hi, all. I'm still deciding on my challenge. So far today, I have done all but one of the things I am seriously considering, so I can still call it Day 1 when I decide. Or, I'll just start tomorrow. Bear with me...
Legally -- Congratulations on getting through Day 1! :cp: I'm glad you feel good about it. You should! :) 1nceagain -- You too! Good going on getting through to Day 2! :cb: happy -- Hello! Glad to see you. I was getting worried there. And, thanks for the congratulations. Hope your husband gets his computer fixed soon. ;) Yes, it took me a long while to complete my first 21, but I did have a lot of "good" day. I would get up to 5 and then go back, and 5 again. Once, I got up to 14 and then went back, so I really did like two rounds already! But, like you said, it is oh so easy to lose sigh to goals. Even after a few hours! I'm really glad you've reached a turning point and so happy to have you with us! Good luck. Even if you do give in to temptation at some point, just start over. You are still way ahead of the game! |
Day 12 done...
|
Day one for me again. My goal is going to be
CURVES at least four times a week WATP at least twice a week WATER WATER WATER NO drinking Wish me luck girls. Hope everyone is doing good. Back to work for now. Bye |
Day 1 is done.. kept calories at under 1400 per fit day
1/2 hour elliptical broke up with 10 minutes resistance bands Day 2.. Meal plan in place 1/2 hour elliptical with about 15 minutes resistance bands.. |
dawn of Day 2....
Good morning, all...but then, where is everyone?! I thought for sure I'd be seeing some more posts this morning, but no...Hmmm. Lonely times again. Have you fallen off the wagon? :dunno: Hope not.
Trixi -- Well, there you are! I was wondering what had happened to you. Glad to see you found us on the new thread. But, problem is, what is the thing you are going to do EVERY DAY or not do EVERY DAY for the next 21. From you list of goals I gather it's water every day and no drinking every day, right? Or is your exercise to be every day too, just in a different form? I'm a little confused, know you know the game though. So, how are you feeling these days? I hope you're doing better. :goodvibes: You've been through such rough times and I wish you all the best! :grouphug: Take care and check in here often, ok? I want to hear from you! dona -- Good for you for getting through Day 1. Or have you gotten through Day 2 as well? Confusion reigns for me this morning, it seems. Aaaaaah... must be all the rain we had yesterday. Typhoon has passed though. Today, it'll be heat and humidity..... :faint: Well, dona, keep it up. You sound like you're doing fine! jkg -- :bravo: Excellent work! You are going into the final turn! :smug: Others!! Please write to me! :comp: |
Redballoon, I tend to confuse people so no worries :)
Everyday I will drink eight glasses of water Some form of exercise for at least 30 minutes This should be fairly easy since I usually am pretty good with it, but lately it's been hard. I am doing much better now thanks...things are looking up and I am ready to focus. Thanks for asking :) |
Still here
I'm still here. I'm done wallowing in my self pity, pouting and whining. At least for now. One never knows when the urge may return, but I'm hoping it's a good while. Thank you all for your support.
I gained a pound and a quarter on Day #1's weigh in, but it's already gone (along with a few more). Hain't datt just loverly? That's the way it goes with me. Day #2 is under way and looking good. I hope to have the same week I had last week, that IS until it fell apart on Friday and Saturday. :( Squeak's biopsy results came back today and she's fine. There's a little bulging at her incision that's got me concerned. But it's not red, swollen other wise or sore and she's eating and potty-ing fine. So I'll keep an eye on it. I hope everyone is doing great. Welcome to new comers. I'm going to restate my goals (mostly to remind myself). At least 64 ounces of water daily At least twenty minutes of intentional exercise daily Log all food/water & exercise in my "paper" journal. Ideally, these goals are to be exceeded for maximum results. :dizzy: |
a bit of progress?!
Heh, all. I'm feeling a little good because I measured my butt and it is smaller by about 2 cm and the scale has me at a recent low as well! Hurrah, hurrah! I do feel better as well. The flab still hangs around my gut in such a gross way, but I know too that it takes a while before the skin tightens up. It's so weird. My shape changes from morning to night to morning again. I'm like a saggy elephant. Oh well, the skin will take time. If I'm tightening up the muscles underneath and losing fat, I'll feel better. Not good to focus too much, right?
Trixi -- Ok, got you now. I'm glad things are looking up. Good luck! :sunny: Java -- So glad to see you back. I'm just like you, go through regular bouts of self-pity and whining and wallowing. Recently, I'm trying to just get through them without eating junk, without lying around. You're NOT going to have the same kind of week as last, because this time, you're going to get past the falling-apart days! Okay! Hang in there! :strong: Oh, and Java, that bit of bulging around the incision on Squeak is normal! Don't worry! :df: |
a wriggling success!
Yeah, just wanted to report that I was able to struggle into my non-stretchy "slim" jeans! I got them buttoned and zipped, though I wouldn't want to walk too far in them for fear of hearing a ripping sound. It was hard getting them on (talk about a workout!) but on they went nonetheless. Ah, so glad! I was thinking...why can't I imagine pulling them on with ease as I used to be able to do. And thinking, wouldn't that just feel wonderful? Gotta buckle down.....:strong:
|
I'm signing up! :cheer:
My goals: - bed time: 10:30-45 pm AT THE LATEST Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00-11:15 pm on Mondays (because I work till 10 pm) - veggies: eat a salad or a bowl of greens or an average-sized vegetable everyday (carrots don't count, as I eat them everyday) Already had a greens mix, so now I just need to get myself to bed in time for this day to be a success. :) |
Day 3 and goin strong!
Mornin Glories! :flow1:
I am into my third day and still sticking to the SBD!!!! I have not stepped on the scale yet. I still feel all puffed out from my "." Since I started the challenge on Monday, I will wait a week. Very hard for me as I am obsessed with the scale. I have already been to the gym and have my meals planned out for the day. So it looks like clear sailing. Hey Sushi-great goal. You will feel so much better for it. Dona, Java, Trixi & Red-looks like all are off to a good start! Red-a smaller butt & skinny jeans! That is so inspiring, man. . .I can't wait. I did a bit of positive imagry while on the elliptical this morning. I was seeing myself in a white tank top & hip hugger boot cut jeans. Man I looked good! LOL-I want to be that person. day 1, 2, 3 :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: |
day 16 i think? im havin my own pity party.. LJ wanted a pic to see how tan i am and well im sure i dont have to tell ya ... out of 10 shots there were none that i could stand....... sigh
|
redballoon, thanks for the encouragement! A calorie is definitely NOT just a calorie. The sad part is that I have no excuse for eating less healthy foods instead of fruits and veggies. I love fruits and veggies. I eat brussels sprouts by choice, for crying out loud. I'm doing better today though. Brussels sprouts for lunch (by choice. See?), chicken and vegetable stew for dinner, snacked on a carrot this afternoon. I just need to make the conscious effort to do it. Congratulations on your new lows as far as weight and measurements. That's something to be proud of.
LB, it really does feel great. Glad you got through day 1 also! happy2beme, glad to "meet" you. I've noticed the same thing as far as eating junk and feeling gross. I had a binge on chocolate a few weeks ago and I just felt so gross the day after. It really does make a big difference what you use to fuel your body. Hotcupojava, I am new and not sure what's going on with Squeak. Is she a cat? I hope she's okay. Day 2 has gone very well so far. I am not calling it a success yet, since I'm contemplating a snack tonight, but I'm at 1300 right now and have already had dinner. Did well with fruits and veggies, and did 75 minutes of exercise today. |
Hi everyone.
I had a long day, some shopping, took the kids swimming in a friends pool for a few hours, mom was here for a while, still doing laundry and really just wanting to go to bed now! No exercise today... so I`ll be starting Day 1 tomorrow it seems. Thats okay. This is only the second day of not working out in a month so I`m not beating myself up. If I sat on my butt all day that would be different! After 21 days I can take a day off. Just can`t turn it into 2! :) Water was good, I`m not too sure about the scale part of my challenge though, :D I`m going to sleep on it and see what exactly I`ll include... but it`s definetly going to include the 40 minutes of exercise and 75 ounces of water. I need something else though to challenge myself, so I`m going to think long and hard about what it`ll be. And I`ll let you all know tomorrow! Anyway, I just wanted to check in... I read everyones posts but too tired to add anything else... but real quick, Glad to see you back, Turtle! And congrats on the skinny jeans, Red!! I`ll probably have a double long post tomorrow, hehe Goodnight, good morning, and lots of luck to you all! |
Tuesday Night Report
Well day 2 is done - I tracked and barely stayed under, got my 96 oz of water in and my bonus goal is done - 30 min. treadmill workout! Got to go - will chat more in the a.m.
Sushi - Good to see you here too! |
Day 2 accomplished, no wine or choc bars. I did stock up on overpriced DQ Fudge bars, fat-free and only 50 cal. Also delicious and creamy (I think they must whip the mix before freezing it.) No exercise today: very busy with my new "kids" (2 adopted strays) and getting a fridge delivered and tiny thises and thats. But I'm definitely not eating too much or too badly, and maybe on day 3 I'll meet a bonus goal.
|
wow, lots of action!!
Wow, so many posts I'm taking the time to get back to you now while I can make the time. It's sooo hot out there I'm kind of staying out of the noonday sun as well too. Nose has been running continuously and I just got so sick of it I took some cold medicine. Don't know if it's a summer cold from the air conditioners all over (I don't have one) or the dust being kicked up by the post-typhoon wind but it's a pain! Still, sharp, bright blue skies out there. Gorgeous day for the beach...if you want to fry! :beach:
Sushi Penguin -- Welcome aboard! Ah, the veggie challenge, and a bedtime curfew! All right! What's with the sushi, by the way? I'm in the land of it! Good luck on your challenge! And, is that true, I actually have 5 cm on you! (and a few years... :lol3: ) 1nceagain -- There you are! I get worried about people when I don't hear from 'em a lot! Good for you for sticking to SBD. That's a very, very sensible eating lifestyle. Are you starting with the beginning or the general plan? The first part is **** if you exercise. I like your image training. So, you looked good, did you! All right! :cb: You go! curly -- Pity party, huh? Oh come on, we never look good in pictures. But you know, they're not real. Don't worry. Think of it as being glad you don't like the way you look now. That's why you're trying to get lean, right? I know, it's tough. I used to hate to have my photo taken. Now, for every two I don't like, there's one I do like. Which is the real me? Smile and have fun! It's the smile and the energy that makes you photogenic or not. Keep your eyes on that number, the one that says Day 16 of Round 2!! You're doing great! Don't lose sight of that! gray -- Habit, isn't it? And planning, sometimes just a little, sometimes a lot, specially if we're juggling a long day with no pit stops at home. I'm like you, love fruits and veggies, good thing, as I'm a vegetarian. But, it does take a conscious effort to get them in me, especially when the convenience stores and bakeries and restaurants are loaded with everything but! Thanks for the congrats on my new lows. Yes, it's been a while. I am proud. I'm hoping I can keep this going. Recently, I've been learning to just accept the anxiety, the fears, the disappointments, the whatever emotion had me reaching for food, food, food or beer. Now, I'm learning to sit through it, cry my eyes out if I have to, be *****y, whatever it takes, but NOT eat junk or overeat. I'm getting better. My weight is dropping (a bit) without going absolutely nuts with the exercise like I used to do too. Well, looks like you'll have Day 2 down soon. You can do it, I know you can! Oh, yeah, Squeak is Java's cat. Caro -- I'm there with you. Haven't really decided on my challenge yet, but am doing a lot of good things so I can just pick one and run with it. But yeah, a day or two off is a given. I can tell you're really serious about this, which indicates commitment. Cool! Looking forward to the long post! Hope you have/had a good sleep! :cloud9: mscat -- :bravo: Good for you! It's on to Three!! carla -- :cp: Congratulations to you, as well. No wine, no candy bars! Excellent! And, oh, an animal lover. We need more people like you! Cats, I'm assuming, right? I have three. Keep up the good work! :bubbles: |
I did it! I exercised today for 35 minutes... I was supposed to have the day off from work and planned on going to the gym as well as a walk with hubby...but nope :( I ended up working 10 hours... so when I got home I didn't want to walk at all! But Hubby was so great :)
He said "Let's just go around the block" so I reluctantly agreed, and then pushed me a little farther than a block and before you knew it we went 2.5 miles!! So day 2 of my 21-day challange is done :D |
whatever it takes!!!
That's great! Brunette! What great support you have. I'm so happy for you and Day 3 will be a breeze I'm sure! Good luck! :sunny:
|
Evening ladies, excuse me for being selfish tonight but I had the most rotten day of the year today. It started as soon as I opened my eyes today and it carried on all throughout the day. One of those days when you wonder "why do we bother?" :dunno:
In spite of things, I did not take it out on food and more importantly, I was so ticked off at one point that I went and bought a pack of cigarettes. (I quit smoking over a year ago in April). I am happy to report that not only did I not smoke a cigarette, I didn't even open the pack. So even tho I didn't get in my exercise - well actually I took off and walked off my anger in a store - I'm considering avoiding the cigs a major victory so I'm keeping my counter at 2 today. The good thing about days like today is that tomorrow is (hopefully) a new day. Congrats Red on fitting into those skinny jeans and the loss on the measuring tape. I think you really needed that kind of a victory and you certainly EARNED it. Yay for you! Sorry, I do have to run, will try and be back tomorrow in a better mood. |
when the going gets tough....
Ouch, happy! Sounds like a devil of a day! But, what resolve! You were outstanding. Very inspiring stuff, you! Not taking it out on food or cigs! Way to go! Well, hope you feel better tomorrow and thanks so much for the words of congratulations on my body change! You bet I needed it. It's been so long since I've had any positive reinforcement and I have been in tears lately for the lack of it. But now I feel like I can carry on, second wind and all that! Hurrah!
Oh, and your snapdragon quote really gave me a chuckle! Thanks! :thanks: |
can I go to bed now?
Well,
It is 7:30pm on the end of day 3. I have eaten everything I was supposed to eat and I am still hungry. :( I am tempted to go to bed just to keep from slipping. I wanted so bad to get on the scale today, but I didnt. I look back through the posts and they give me strength. :strong: Some of you have had some amazing progress and are still going strong. I am a wuss. :bb: It's only day 3. I am not a head-achey person, but I think I am getting those low carb headaches I hear about. I have had one the last two nights. :dizzy: Curly-day 16. That is awesome. You are so-so close to your mini goal. I know you can do it! I hear ya about the pictures though. I hate my picture taken. I look much better in my head! Close your eyes-try it. Visualize it. We will get there. Gray-wow. How do you stick with it? Any helpful hints? You did awesome on your exerxise today! :ebike: Caro-ready for another round? Have you picked your next challenge yet? Mscat-On to day 3 today! Great work on the bonus goal. :cp: Carla-amazing willpower. Man, what I would give for a glass of wine right now. My husband bought this cool fold-out bar recently and its fully stocked now. I need a padlock-that would be good. I think I get wine on phase 2 of SBD-still 11 days away. :hat: LB-so wonderful to have a partner to spur you on. 0-2.5miles!!!!!! Happy-I'm sorry your not right now. Tomorrow is almost here with a fresh start for you. You handled it so well. :cheer: Red-Thanks for all of the wonderful support. did you pick a challenge yet? :D I will close for now. I will push throuh for another couple of hours. Drink some water and maybe watch a DVD. I'll catch up later. |
I am through day 13....still chuuging along eating tons of fruits! I'de forgotten how much I liked them, now I can't seem to get enough! Especially banana! YUM!
|
Ya'll sitting down?
I did five miles on the outdoor track last night. I "Jo-wuffled" FIVE MILES! It took me a sad two hours. I still can't believe I did that for two hours, but I did. I also did a half hearted two mile WATP before work yesterday, and stayed on program with food and water. When I got home, I put the garbage out (doing litter boxes and all) and didn't get to sleep until 0300! And unfortunately, I was awake and up between 0800 and 0900 because it was just too hot to stay in bed. I went right outside and cut the hedge before I had time to whine about or decide I was too tired or sore. Today is day three (I think) and I see no reason it'll go sour. I had to give my coworker all my money to hold all day to keep me from the pretzels, but it worked. Tonight is weight lifting.
I'll address you all from work. I'm sorry I've neglected you all. I'm forever thankful for you AND this site. :) Oops! Checked the calendar (something I should do BEFORE posting) and today is only Day #2, but I'm not worried. It's looking good for today. |
Day 2 down.. excersize in.. calories perfect..
Day 3 Half hour walk this morning + 15 minutes resistance bands.. Scale showed a 4 lb. loss this morning after stalling last week!! Boy that gives me incentive.. 1 more lb and I'll hit 30!! So I'm planning on walking again tonight.. want to get that one more pound off before the end of July!! Yeah!! |
JavaTurtle - YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!
5 MILES! 2 HOURS! That's incredible, amazing, stupendous! Whoo hoo... :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: |
Java, 5 miles?!!? YAY!! CONGRATS!! I wish we had a track near-by, I'd probably walk there a lot more!
Day 3 was so easy! I did an hour of cardio at the gym!! Followed by a nice long sit in my hottub here at home! Now I'm debating a nice long nap  |
Seeing all your exercise posts makes me feel a little guilty about my easy goals. For some reason I'm not really missing wine and candy bars right now, so maybe after week 1 I'll add an exercise goal. By then all the cat adoption excitement will have died down, and I'll have no more excuses. (I do admit that I've decided not to go to a cottage where I always drink "a whole flock of wine" - quote from The Philadelphia Story.) So I'm not all THAT sure of my will power...
