Thanks, Haley! How are you doing? What's new? Any new challenges as of late? I am trying to get back into working out everyday.....for 4 months I did it religiously 5 to 6 times per week, but after Thanksgiving it's been maybe 2 times a week.....horrible! I feel like all my muscle is turning into fat again - yuck! Anyhoo, I WILL exercise today during baby's nap and NO excuses :)

Take Care!
Melanie

I'm doing well, it's finals week, but I only have 2 finals, so I'm very not stressed. It's great! That also means I have tons of time for working out, but I didn't go today. The scale said 180 this morning, I don't know how that happened between Friday and now, but I'll take it! I've been having trouble getting back into working out, too. Over my break, I'm gonna make sure I'm doing some cardio 5 days a week. What else is going on with you besides the exercise thing? How's life??

haleys 12-15-2005 01:29 AM

Eeewwwww, I didn't do very well today. I ate 4 pieces of cheese pizza and a regular Dr Pepper. I'm glad I feel gross though, it makes me not want to do it again. Back to the exercise and good food stuff tomorrow.

Meldiggety 12-15-2005 01:36 PM

Celeste0722 12-22-2005 05:58 PM

Hey, remember me?

I've been a huge slacker...Some news..

#1) I got down to 146

#2) I'm pregnant with #2!

haleys 12-22-2005 10:28 PM

Congrats with the baby and the weight loss, Celeste!

I'm back home for the break, been eating well, but haven't been exercising. I'm going to take a bike ride tomorrow. Lots of stress going on at home. I hate it.

Mina 12-23-2005 10:38 AM

I'd like to join. Count me in!

haleys 12-23-2005 03:19 PM

Hey Mina, welcome to our little group!! I see you're a "vegan in training," thats cool! I've been a vegetarian my entire life, how long have you been trying out the vegan thing?

I'm down a pound today to 183, which means 40 pounds lost. I am amazed and excited! I need to get back to working out so I can reach my mini goal!

Mina 12-25-2005 10:40 PM

I was raised by two vegan parents who still gave me the option to choose my own diet. I was raised without red meat, but I ate fish and poultry until I was in middle school. Always free range whenever possible, however. Then I was at a restaurant and had ordered some pasta with shrimp, and I looked down at my plate only to realize that the shrimp were actually each an individual organism and that I was using hthem to eat and killing multiple beings all in one fell swoop. I turned vegan when I was 14, freshman year in high school and remained that way until I was 20 and had some health concerns. I returned just recently, and I've been vegetarian or vegan for at least 10 years total.

Mina 12-25-2005 10:45 PM

I'm planning to joing Curves tomorrow, since there's one right next to my house. Thirty minutes three times a day is doable and I could even take my bike up there when the weather clears up later in the spring and summer.

Hey girls! How is everyone doing? So sorry I haven't come by! Well I finally hit onederland! Haha! So that is great. I'm going on a cruise in a few weeks, and I'm kinda nervous as to how I will do! But I'm sure it will be fine, and I'm not going to worry about it too much! :p I hope to hear from you all soon!

Meldiggety 01-07-2006 03:52 PM

Hey Nicki, Haley, Celeste & Welcome Mina!

Congrats Celeste on the baby news, how exciting! Good job on your weight loss - you are there! :carrot:

How have you been Haley?

Nicki - Have a blast on your cruise!

I haven't been doing all that well with exercise these days......but my eating has been alright. I have been maintaining at 163 over the Holidays.....better than gaining tho! Gotta get back in the exercise groove!

Hugs,
Mel

Hey everyone!

I moved into my first apartment yesterday, its pretty exciting! Now, I'll be able to cook and control my eating better. I haven't gone to the gym at all over my break, but am going to start back to working out tomorrow and that combined with healthy eating should get the rest of this weight off.

It looks like I'm going to Amsterdam in May with my friend and I want to be looking great by the time that rolls around! My classes start tomorrow and my classes are hard, so it's going to be a busy semester for me.

I hope you all are doing well and now that the holidays are over, we should all pick this thread back up!

Hello everyone, I have 55 pounds to lose to meet my first goal, I'm 40 , willbe 41 in April .. WOW how time flies when you are having fun! I don't feel 40 even being overweight. but anyway I would love to join in for support and advice and who knows maybe I have some to share . :) I would have a cute little ticker , but I don't have a clue how to get it ?? have fun . oh I almost forgot , I am in Illinois , married, we have 7 kids between us and 1 grandson. darn I also forgot to add that I have already lost 9 pounds!

haleys 01-13-2006 10:21 AM

Hey higherfaith, welcome! I don't have time to type out instructions for the ticker now, but the instructions to make them are on the site somewhere!

I weighed in today and am at 180, which is 3 pounds down from whenever the last time I weighed in was...Class time!

higherfaith 01-13-2006 03:01 PM

Thanks for the welcome. I too have lost a little more weight .. it seems to be melting off of me like crazy!! I checked it this morning and it said 242 ... I started at 256 at the 1st of this month. I am eating properly I have cut the salt out of my diet and ifI eat something that has a high sodium count , I try not to butif I do , I don't add any salt what so ever ! that has been hard for me cause I love salkty foods. anyway , I have substitued squeezed lemons on all my vegies instead of salt .. and it tastes great! good job on the weight loss everyone!! Celeste0722 02-05-2006 01:13 PM

How's everyone doing?

I'm back. Unfortunately, I lost the baby. I want to lose the last 10 lbs before I get pg again.

So, I'm back on the losing weight bandwagon again.

lilybutt 02-05-2006 01:44 PM

Hello,
I would like to join! I would be very happy and content at about 190-200....from past experience, that is a weight I can maintain and be comfortable at. Any lower and I have problems with maintaining. So at the age of 44 I would be happy to be at that weight.

A little about me....44, single (which has it own challenges!), professional, cat lover, and just generally happy with my life excet for my weight.....I had lost 170 lbs in the past....I was much younger.....in my 20s...but over time some of it has come back...I need to do something before I get that big again. I exercise, but not as much as I should....sometimes life gets in the way and I let it make my decisions for me....I wish I didn't but that is what happens! I don't follow any specific plan....did Weight Watchers in the past, but have also had success with just watching portions and making good choices, so tryng that again!
I am happy to meet you all!
Lilybutt

fitnessweetie 02-07-2006 12:18 PM

Where has everyone gone? I miss you gals!

Celeste: I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I send my prayers too you and your family. Here is a big  from me! As for me, I am feeling a bit down in the dumps today. I am thinking of joining WW online, I think that you have done that. I need to be thinking about weight loss all the time. And need to write stuff down and plan meals.

:welcome: Lillybutt, I am finding that it is so very important to find a group that is supportive. This was a wonderful group, I am hoping to hear from the others again and to meet some new friends. So, lets kick some butt!
