StacyLeigh,
Congrats on your surgery date. Your hubby is right about having a good summer. Plus I hate the hot weather.

Good Morning! I haven't been feeling myself lately, I know it's the meds I am on but I have been avoiding posting because of it. The scale hasn't moved for me in over a week, I am not worried even tho it seems I have gained 1lb. My focus right now is not to gain and to get pregnant so my eating has slipped a little bit but I am working on that. Yesterday I had some brownie and spent the day in the bathroom to pay for it, I will definitely pass on the "goodies" next time.

Stacey - congrats on your date!!

Just a quick hello... I am quite busy this week, and will be next week. I am keeping up with my "diet" and exercise while finishing up my research that is due next week! Ahhhh! I am starting to wish I never would have gotten myself into this, but getting paid almost 3 grand was too great to pass up. It will also be nice for me to get my research published and then presented in professional forums! I am excited. It will be a great thing to put in my resume for graduate schools.

Gotta go... Have to do my cardio and then get cracking on my research again. I can't wait until this summer is over! Only ONE more semester!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Candy,
Glad to hear that you are busy and doing great. Keep up the good work and keep checking in. It is Friday night and we are so tired from the busy week. My tennis lessons are going great and I am not dying like I did the first day. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Welcome Onetallmama!
Glad you found us. I am glad to hear you are back on WW, I have done WW a few times and lost allot of weight. It is a great program. I think the best thing is the support group meetings. I have really great friends I met at meetings. Do they have them in Alaska? They do not have them here. I want to start some sort of support group here. So, do you love it there? Where else have you been?

Welcome Jana!

Vicki - I have never played Tennis, it sounds like a good workout though.

Candy - you are getting paid and getting your research published, great!! What are you researching?

I am doing ok over here, had fun yesterday with my now 6yo, can't believe he's that old already. I also put my website back up, the sig tag below is linked to it. I am going to update it this morning since I didn't finish that before I uploaded it.

I have to go make my baby some breakfast, you all have a great day (or evening vicki?)

Thank you for the welcome! He's a mortarman in the Marine Corps but has a torn miniscus, and I can't remember the leg muscle but he tore that too last September. So he just hobbles around the base these days. Hopefully they'll be letting him out (chances are slim to none but he's been recommended for medboard) because he can't run, carry a pack or really do anything anymore. He used to be a cyclist, but can't even do that anymore (heartbreaking for me to watch)

But who knows! Everyone seems to be doing everything they can to keep him in (to his chagrin- lol!) actually if anyone knows anything about medboard or medical discharge I'd be interested to hear!

As for me Im losing weight more by emotionally assessing my needs rather than turning to food (havent binged in four months!) and reducing my calories to 1400ish. Oh and my food log (under support, be accountable thread) is helping me A LOT, as well as eating 5 small meals a day.

oh yeah and there's a pic of Dustin and I in '03 about to go to the MC Ball if you click on my username.

how are you losing the weight Vicki? and Im guessing your DH is Marines too (Okinawa Japan?)

Hi all...

flmom- I am doing research regarding the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution and an amendment to the Missouri Constitution that was passed last August. The Missouri amendment puts the prohibition of same-sex marriage into the state constitution.

Ahealthierme,
My hubby is a cheif in the navy and we are at the AF base. There are allot of marines here. We love it. We have been through my husband breaking his C-7 in his neck twice and we stopped them from med boarding him and they gave him time to heal and stay in. He had surgery both times. He wanted to stay in and he had people who helped him stay in.
Speaking of marine bases, we were in Beaufort SC for three years and loved it.
As for losing weight I am bascially reducing my fat, no fastfood, no eating after 8:30, drinking nothing but water, and exercising my butt off(literally)
I started this 5 weeks ago tomorrow. I weigh in on mondays. I am not dieting, I am changing our life style for the whole family. I have lost weight more times than I can count but I am looking for the keys to keeping it off forever.
