I am a lot older than you guys (and shorter hehe). I'm 52, 4'6" and 150 pounds. I've lost just over 30 pounds and have another 30-35 to go. I eat a healthy lowfat diet, drink a lot of water, and exercise 5 times a week (a combination of cardio, weight training and toning). My basic philosophies are: eat 2 fruits a day, eat at least 2 servings of veggies a day, keep meat & poultry servings to 3 oz. or under, drink 48-64 oz. of water a day, eat plenty of fiber, eat whole grains (whole grain cereal; ww bread, tortillas and pasta; brown rice), eliminate or vastly reduce consumption of processed white foods (white bread, pasta, rice and tortillas), minimize consumption of sugar (except that I do have 1 bitesize piece of dark chocolate a day), do 3 days of cardio a week and 2 days of weight training or toning a week.
