  • Hey Reb!

Great to be back! Thanks for the PM to kick my A$$ in gear! Good luck on your weigh-in tonight....I still haven't had the guts to get on the scale, but I will tomorrow and report in.

Looks like my beloved Grand Cayman has been spared the worst of Hurricane Dean...they are experiencing tropical storm conditions, but the eye is about 100 miles south. Whew! I've been SO worried!

Have a good Monday, ya'll. I'm on my way to a class.
  • OK...I weighed myself and it's not as horrible as I thought it would be. I changed my weight-tracker and now I'm starting to feel a litte motivation just being back here with My Chicks.

Oh..and if you're interested in what I've been doing during my AWOL....here's our website I designed and keep maintained. And it DOES keep me busy! I guess that makes me a Web-Idiot since I'm certainly not a Web-Master! I've never done anything like this before. It's 55plusrealestate.com.
  • Well it is about time to see you back flsunbakd. We have all missed you too. I'm glad you got time with your family. I know the busy schedule and understand that one. The website looks great.

Just wanted to do a quick check in and say I finally weigh less then the dh!!!!!!!!!!! He just happened to decide to get on the scale, which I have been wanting him to do but wouldn't ask. He was shocked that he was up to 170 meanwhile I am down to 155. I haven't been on track lately, not sure what my deal is but I gotta get back on it and quick.

    Kayla

    PS
    Take care all.
  • By the way I am glad someone got to do some serious shopping. I reminded the dh the other day that I will need a winter coat this year. Along with a whole new winter wardrobe.

We are in the process of refinancing our house so that hopefully we can get some things paid off and caught up so that by this time next year I can have my tummy tuck and boob job.
  • Jill- I'll check out your site later today. I bet it's great! I'm glad that the scale wasn't bad. I cannot let myself "off" a diet. I gain 15-20 pounds in weeks. I hate how quick I gain.

Kayla- That is really great that you weigh less than your hubby! When dh and got married, I weighed like 30 pounds less. Now I weigh around 40 more... I'm working on it, though!! That will be great to get some work done. It's a big incentive. I think that I'd want my stomach, bat wings, chins, and boobs fixed up!

Well, I lost 2 pounds last night at weigh in. I feel like I've really been retaining water lately. I do think it's due to heat and humidity. Uggh. Gross feeling.

    Have a great day chicks!
  • Hey Kayla! Hey Reb!

Kudos to both of you! Good loss, Reb, keep on goin'! And good for you Kayla, for weighing in less than Hubby. I know you must feel really great about that!

Thanks, Girls....you're motivating me! I didn't go for that 2nd helping last night and I lived and today I only ate 1/2 of what HH fixed me for b'fast...so maybe I'm beginning to get back in my groove. My jeans are so tight around the waist that I can't wear them, and I need to lose 10 lbs for them to be comfortable again. That's my FIRST goal.

Thanks, Reb, for getting me back to 3FC!
  • Quote: I didn't go for that 2nd helping last night and I lived
    heehee!! that's great!

I"m so glad your beloved Cayman Isles were spared the worst, Jill.

Kayla - congrats on your accomplishment!! I'm interested in hearing about your proposed surgeries - breast lift and implants? or am I too nosy Hopefully refinancing your home will help you the way it helped us - alot lower interest rate meant a better financial situation for us.

Rebel, congrats on being two more down! woohoo!!

Hi Teresa, nice to hear from you

Did I tell you all about our next rally, The EasyRiders Rodeo Grand Nationals, it tours the country but we're going to see it at Chillicothe, OH. We rode there last year - it was a long haul, 850 miles..this year we're driving, cause we want to start the partying as soon as possible

This all happens Labor Day weekend. We'll be leaving here as soon as I get home from work on Thursday; then drive all night and get there Friday...then I have to be back to work Monday. But it'll be a blast
  • Hey Vermont -asking about the surgeries is not personal to me. I have earned them. I will be doing a breast lift and implants. You have to understand that even at my heaviest I did not have a chest. Finding bras is really hard when what you need is a 42B. No, I'm not lying. I am now down to a 36 barely B. In all actuality and if I would get over I should be in an A. I buy very padded bras and am now adding extra padding to make it look as if I have a chest. Which sucks because my 15yr old daughter is now a 36C, not a full C but one none the less. She hands me up her bras and laughs. I want a very full 34C. Like borderline D full, lol. I've had a consult with a plastic surgeon. When I am actually done losing the weight I will have almost no breast tissue. As it is now when I lay down they almost disappear. The dh is a boob man yet he did marry a flat chested woman. Go figure. So we will use the silicone gel implants that the fda just recently approved because saline implants will ripple under my skin due to the lack of tissue. The cost is a little over $7K.

Tummy tuck is my other big one. I've had 3 c-sections and with a gain of more then 100 lbs I have lost absolutely all stomach muscle. The extra skin literally hangs from my hips and waist. It is also covered with stretch marks and scars. They will cut and pull down the upper part of my stomach from just under my breasts actually after cutting off the excess skin and lippoing my hips to even things out. I will get a new belly button too, lol. That cost is a little over $7k also.

Total costs for both is going to run us about $14,400. I have been trying to figure out something that I can do from home to help earn some extra money to get things paid off and that money set aside. I would love to have my surgery by this time next year. The tummy tuck is going to be a neccessity the breast job is my reward to myself well and from the dh.

I am trying to post a pic so you guys can see. I don't have any past pics but this one is after a 103 lb loss so you can imagine what I looked like before.

  • Hi wannabe, thanks so much for the info, and your pic! You look great right now!!
I am so intrigued by augmentation surgery. I figure if we've got the know-how, why not! if my boys looked at the History on this computer, they would be probably freaked (or excited) by my searching on 'before and afters' If someone handed me the money, and I could get the time off with 'no questions asked', I would do it tomorrow.
  • Hey Wannabe! Hey Holly!

Holly, your next rally sounds like a lot of fun. You trailering your bike?

You sure do deserve to have these surgeries, Wannabe....I hope you'll be able to have it all done. I know it must be super-hard to have accomplished such a HUGE goal and still have all the skin left over as a constant reminder. I've seen the surgery you're talking about on Discovery Health and the results are certainly beyond amazing! Keep up posted, as we're all rooting for you!
  • Hope you dont mind somebody new saying hi! I've been on the LA Weight Loss forum since January but never knew there was a motorcycle forum. I dont ride my own, I ride 2-up with DH but I love being on the bike.

Wannabesexy-I had a tummy tuck in May after losing 70 pounds. I had had 3 c-sections too. I used to say I had a butt in the front and the back. The TT was the best gift I could give myself. No matter how much weight I lost I never would have been happy with the flabby gut. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck with the up coming surgeries!!
  • YAY! Another Biker Chick! Welcome, Kim!

I ride 2-up with hubby too and just love being on the bike. Have thought about my own bike, but am so happy being on the back it's just not something I really want. We have too much fun talking as we go....and I'd totally miss that.

Glad to see you here to give your thoughts on your TT!

Again....Welcome! We hope you'll stay with us.
  • Thanks for the welcome Jill. DH has always said he thinks he would be so worried about me if I was on my own bike, that he'd never relax enough to enjoy it, so he's glad I'm content to just hang on! LOL
  • That's a beautiful bike ya'll have, Kim....Road King??

That's the sexy pic ya oughta have on your avatar!!
  • 98 Road King Classic. We bought it used 3 years ago, not a scratch on it. The previous owner took great care of it. We rented a Heritage Softtail for our anniversary 3 years ago, road all weekend. 2 weeks later we owned ours, got the fever! LOL
