wannabe!!! congratulations on your amazing acomplishment!!

do you have any pics?

Hey Gina, hi!! have a nice trip to May-hee-co. Hey, I see Canada on the map - you're closer to me than I knew

Hi Rebel! wow, you got alot of good stuff for a low price! glad you had a nice time shopping with your mom. And best wishes with WW.

Hi Teresa! good to hear from you.

Yes, my husband fixed my mirror, and it only took a new bolt, yay!!! I've been so lucky that I"ve been able to ride so much this season. I take the car for errands like once or twice a week; you can tell the car has been sitting for a bit; I need to get someone to take it to town more often so it doesn't feel neglected

Thanks Vermont mom. I don't have any pics yet cuz the hubby still won't take one. He says he will and then doesn't. So mean of him. Here eventually.

I have a job interview tomorrow for a job that would be a bigger challenge then what I am doing and more money. (I like that). Anyway dh took me shopping today so that I would have a nice outfit that fit. I had fun. For once we were putting things back not because they were too small but because they were either too big, too short or just didn't flatter. I loved it and so did he cuz he was grinning.

Talk to everyone later and I love hearing how everyone is doing even if I don't always mention it back.

wannabe, how did your interview go? I'm so glad you had such a great time shopping! I'm looking forward to when I can do the same.

I have been going to Curves faithfully, but lately my heart rate was not staying at the rate I needed...so I started bringing my one pound ankle weights to use during the workout. It sure has helped to bring my heart rate back to a working hard!

Still hard for me to complete a day or two totally on track. I know that my emotions play a b-i-g part in being 'good' or not. Self esteem issues can crumble my resolve!

Been very lucky in that I ride most days to work

Hi to everyone else!

* I weighed myself today, and I think it showed 161. SO close to being to the 150's!!!*

Wannabe- Good luck with the job interview! That must have been such a great feeling of putting the clothes back because they were too big! Glad you had fun shopping.

Holly- Yay! You are sooo close to 150. Good for you for continuing your workouts at Curves. I hear it'a a great place!

Gina- Have fun on vacation!! The beach would have been great!! LOL.

I lost 6 pounds this week at WW. I was really surprised. I thought that I had lost about 2. School starts in a week. I'm not totally sure that I'm ready for it. I really need to look into another job...lol...

Have a good one!

Holly-- Way to go you are getting there. It won't be much longer until you hit the 150 mark.

Rebel-- that is absolutely awesome. I know that it feels great.

Gina--hope you are enjoying the vacation. Mine is coming up in September and I can't wait,

The interview went well and they are to let the candidates know within the next week. This job would be absolutley awesome and the benefits are incredible. So we have been saying our prayers and truly hoping that it comes through. If not I will keep looking for something else. I really need to leave where I am.

On other notes, I rear ended someone in stop and go traffic yesterday on the highway on my way in to work. The front of my Sorento is absolutely screwed. No one was hurt, but I am pissed about it.

I need to ask a riding question. I am usually very excited when I get to ride. However, I haven't gotten to ride on my own in a while for one reason or another. We got my bike back Monday after having the carbs done. She is a different bike with more get up and go now. Wednesday I was going to take her out and was all excited about doing so and then out of no where had a major anxiety attack about being on her. I have no clue as to why. The dh is on her today but I hope to take her when he comes home from work. I really need to get some seat time in. Anyway, has anyone else run into this problem and what did you do to overcome it?

Kayla- In answer to your question about ever feeling anxious about riding...YES, YES, YES!! I do feel anxiety about riding my bike. I enjoy it when I ride, but I also worry. I'm not sure if it has to do with it being all new to me. I was never raised around motorcycles or dirt biking like some girls. In fact, I don't even know how to drive a manual transmission car. I've never owned or drove a stick shift! LOL. What bothers me the most, I think, is that what if I'm driving a fairly high speed, someone darts out in front of me and I can't slow down. Or that I freak and don't know what to do. I'm just afraid of making mistakes. I haven't taken the beginner course yet, but I'm hoping that will help with some of worries.

Oh, and sorry to hear about your accident!

Andrea

Kayla - I am also sorry to hear of your car accident! ( i know I'm tardy) Hope it's not too much of a pain to get resolved.

Hi Andrea!

Yes, I had alot of anxiety in the beginning months of riding. For one thing, I can remember sitting right here, waiting for my husband to get ready to go (we would double up on the way to the school's parking lot, then I'd practice) and my stomach would start churning...I always had to visit the bathroom at least twice, I'd get so anxious. And I can remember lying in bed at night, thinking "what have I got myself into??"

And I was a SLOW learner!! Maybe because my self confidence isn't that high. Whatever. I crept along. But that's not a bad thing. You have to feel safe!

But then I realized that I wanted it More than I was Afraid of it, and it was each small success that kept me going (like successfully making it to the village store, the next time to the next town, etc.)

I guess I'd say that the more seat time you can get, the better.

We have a rally coming up, it's the EasyRiders Rodeo tour, we're going to Chillicothe OH to attend. Last year we rode; this year we are renting an SUV (no bkes) because we want to drive there all night and start the party early

I went shopping at Wal*Mart yesterday (with the bike - I emptied my saddlebags and brought a backpack) with the hopes of getting at least one new pair of jeans...brought home four, yay!

and a t-shirt/shorts workout outfit; a sports bra; couple pretty panties; a padded push em up bra, three t shirts for work; earrings, a new bellybuttn jewel ( a sparkly dragonfly) bandannas (so kewl!! hot pink with a leopard print, totally biker babe-like ). yeah, I treated myself, ya got to sometimes.

The jeans were Juniors 13. I remember when I could wear a Junior's 9 a couple years ago...sigh...I'm working on it! But just wearing some new clothes makes you feel good, doesn't it.

have a great day chicks!! keep on keepn on (where are you harleymom!?

Hi Dear Biker Chickies!!

OMG...I have missed you guys more than I knew!

I just don't know where the time has gone this summer....I just know I haven't had a minute to myself since HH quit his job and started his own business!! We did this right after we went on our Panama Canal cruise in March.

I did get to spend almost a whole month with my kids and grans in Wyoming this summer, HH was with me the first week...then I went back. Here's a link to a little slide show. I hope you'll enjoy it. http://www.rockyou.com/show_my_galle...nceid=73939533

I've been trying to see what ya'll are up to and it looks like everyone is doing really well! I, however, am a FAT PIG who's scared to get on the scales!!!! Need motivation!! I have no idea how much I've gained, but I'll bet that 178 showing on my signature is loooong gone!!!! See what happens when ya don't check in with the Chicks????

Glad to be back....missed each and every one of you!

ps.....it's been so freakin hot here we haven't been able to ride Waiting for winter. LOL

Thank You, Teresa! Those are Our Loves....that's for sure! And HI HOLLY!!! GREAT to see you and to be "back in the fold". Sorry about being AWOL...I really have no excuse except that I've had a huge shift in My Personal Time now that HH is underfoot 24/7! Yeppers...that can certainly change a girl's "Me Time"!!!

But for now I'm focusing on that Monster Storm, Hurricane Dean, that's headed right for my beloved Garnd Cayman. OMG.....I don't know how that little spec of an island paradise will survive a direct hit from a Category 5 storm like this. HH and I are headed there for a "honeymoon" week at the end of August...I hope. The people of Cayman are the nicest and most friendly folks on the planet and my hopes and prayers are sure with them right now. They are the ones that make our visits to our timeshare so wonderful.

Check out the storm if you want:
http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...veMapLayer=sat
Find the map at the bottom of the page and click the "animate" button to see this monster barreling through the Caribbean. Pray for these folks...they're gonna need all we can give them.

Jill!!! It's so good to see you back! I'm so glad that you had a great time with your daughter and grandchildren. Thanks for sharing the slideshow. Teresa's right, you have a great looking family!! Also, thanks for the link on Hurricane Dean. What a shame. Poor people. I'll be praying for them.
