  • What is it about motivation and the 160's? I've been struggling just to maintain below 165...I'm kinda happy here...but I keep thinking the same as you two - if I can maintain how come I can't go the extra step to lose? I had a major "f it" day yesterday....go see my Fitday if ya don't believe me...I guess at least I logged it.

I'm good with working out...just need some duct tape for my mouth...
  • I know that we all plateau out for time periods but I hate it when it happens. I have about another 30lbs that I would really like to get off and now everything is just moving so slow. The hubby says I'm looking great and that he is proud of me for not giving up, like I have always done in the past. That I have lost close to 100lbs and that is a lot. I don't know. I just want it off. My eating hasn't been bad. The workouts have been slower mainly due to work and rain but I am still going every chance I get.

    to all of you.

    Kayla
  • Kayla - we have almost the exact same stats....I know how hard you've worked. We'll just keep on plugging away at it, huh?

I get frustrated with being stuck where I am, but in the long run I am SO glad I'm not gaining it back. Maintaining is something we all need to learn anyway...sometimes I feel like I'm not losing, just moving the weight around. And that's kinda ok...as long as the clothes sizes keep going down.
  • I do like that the clothes are getting smaller. I also like to see the looks I get now. Especially if the dh is with me. I've actually seen him get jealous a time or two and that is something he never did before. I think it is funny now.

I keep plugging though. I have had to stop the apetite suppressant that I was taking though because it started interfering with my anti-depressant. I will go back to the original one I had here in about a week that one worked with it fine. I will just have to make sure that I am really paying close attention to what goes in my mouth which I try to make sure I do anyway.

    Take care

    Kayla
  • Hey ladies!

We are finally done cleaning my grandma's house. It took 9 dumpsters! Can you believe that?!?! Now, we're just getting ready for an auction. So, the dirty (and I do mean dirty) work is behind us. I'm so glad. I feel like there has been so much I've neglected in my own home and life. It seems that since May 28th, the day she died, everything was just put on pause.

I did some research on the weight loss surgery and my insurance doesn't cover anything in regards to it. So, it just isn't possible right now. I'm just going to have to lose it another way, I guess. Dh and I are going to start Fat Smash on Monday. I have to do something. So, we'll see how it goes.

Off topic, but we bought one of those Pur Flavor Options water filter things that hook onto the faucet. Oh my goodness! The water tastes sooo fresh and good. I love the hint of raspberry or strawberry added to my water, too. It's so refreshing!

Kayla and Gina- I know that you two are frustrated with your plateaus, but big congratulations to you for the amount of weight you've lost!!! I think what's even more impressive than the weight lost, is that you've both maintained that loss!!! I think that all of us that ever have weight problems realize that maintaining is a whole other issue. Congratulations to both of you!!!

Holly- Your trip sounded like it was so much fun. I like the idea of the beer tent.

Has anyone heard from Jill lately? I kinda figured she'd pop in soon. She must be busy enjoying beautiful Florida...

    Have a great weekend, girls!!
  • Hi chicks!!

so sorry I've been absent from here lately. Frustrated with myself! That I can't find the stick-to-it-ness

Yesterday after I parked my bike at work, it tipped over and fell against the building. Snapped off my right Kury mirror/turn signal at the base. Again, They're about $160. I had to wrap it in a plastic bag and tape it to the bars for the ride home. It looks so awful and pathetic. I feel like I broke a bone myself

I hope dh can fix it quickly for me

I'm not as bummed as I probably sound, but I'd rather that it didn't happen!
  • By the way...
...I've ridden over 7000 miles this season so far
  • Holly...So sorry to hear about your bike bang up! I'm just glad that you weren't hurt. That's so frustrating, though. You've really got a lot of miles on your bike! That's so cool!!

Not much to report today. Just came by to say hello! Dh and I started the Fat Smash diet today. Hope it goes well. So far, so good.

    Have a great Monday, chicks!
  • Time to shout for Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!:c arrot:

I have broke the 100 lb mark!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick post because everyone I know is sleeping but I got on the scale this morning, it has slowly been moving but not enough for me to feel like I could move my marker but, it did today.
  • way to go Wannabe
  • Wannabsexy!! Congratulations! I bet you feel fantastic, girl!
  • I do. I feel fantastic. I finally broke that 160 mark. Thank goodness I thought that would never happen.

Hope everyone else is doing absoluetly great. Make sure to check in once in a while.
  • So FREAKING , Kayla!!!

    TeresaR!

    andrea - Howzit goin?

Holly - hopefully your bike is back in one piece? Such a bummer.

Well - we are going to attempt this trip to Mexico again...DH's green card is renewed. We leave Saturday morning. It should be fun! I think i'll be ok food-wise...MIL is trying to lose weight. I try to set a good example.
  • Wannab- That is soooo awesome that you broke through the 160's

Gina- Where in Mexico are you going? It's great that your MIL is watching her diet, too. It really does help to have others doing the same! Have a great time!!

    TeresaR-

    Holly- How's it going, girl?!

    HarleyMom-Hope you're having a good summer!

Well, I rejoined Weight Watcher's last night. I couldn't handle the Fat Smash diet. It's a great program for some people, but if I'm restricted that severely I get so depressed. I can avoid the normal unhealthy foods, but I couldn't last on that! I need my diet sodas!!!

School starts in about 2 weeks, so my mom and I did some shopping to get ready. I went to Lane Bryant. I bought 3 tops, 2 pairs of pants and it came to about $180. Then they took 15% off which brought the total to $156ish, then I had a coupon which took another $50 off. So, I got all that for for a little over $100!! My mom NEVER spends money on clothes and she bought a bunch of cute things at Target. It was so nice to see her enjoy shopping.

    Have a good week chicks!
  • Thanks for all the congratulations ya'll. Hubby was proud of me too.

Sorry such a quick post but I have so much going on right now. Glad to see that everyone is doing great and making plans for trips and having fun shopping and anything else I have missed.

    Take care all.
