Hi ladies!!!
This week has got to be the longest week I have had in awhile. I can't believe it is only Wednesday! Yikes! Tomorrow is WI and I doubt it will be as good as last week but hopefully it will be at least 2 lbs. I guess I will have to wait and see. Welcome back Ann!! We have missed you. I'm glad the program is going well for you. Welcome Marcy and Athena! This is a great place to be!!! Tess- 3/4 Jeans way to go!! Lisa-Stay positive!!! You can do it! Stephanie- You'll be wearing those 14's in no time! Keep up the good work! Enjoy your "time off" while you have it because something will turn up soon and you'll be back to the old grind!!! I also use a measuring cup to scoop out my servings rather than eyeballing and estimating. I think my eyes lose perspective when they see the plate of fettucini alfredo. :lol: |
hey.. everyone thanks for welcoming me.. I do pilates three or four times a week and then i do cardio three or four times a week. as far as eating i usaully drink 8 to nine glasses of water a day and (two diet pepsis) I eat cereal or yougurt for breakfast salads or sandwiches for lunch sometimes lean cuisine or something similar and then i make dinner every night chicken lasagna etc... i do like deserts and have a hard time with saying no to sweets but its very frustrating because i feel like i do enough to not be so overweight...... i dont get itttttttt augghhh

Tess and Paige - Thanks! I'm going to try to enjoy it! And I'm certainly looking forward to just chilling out a bit!! Yesterday went great!! I ate 1,250 calories total! I walked for 10 minutes on my two 15 minute breaks and I worked out for about 20 minutes total last night! I got in my fiber cereal and half banana last night and I drank about 30 oz of water yesterday! I would have gotten more water in but the caffeine headache started in yesterday evening! Today is going great! I walked for 10 minutes on my first 15 minute break and I've drank 20 oz of water so far! I've eaten 280 cals and have a 320 cal lunch waiting on me!!! (thank goodness for lean cuisine frozen meals! I'll be having yummy sesame chicken!! Mmmm) So after lunch, I'll have eaten a total of 600 cals for the day. Wow we all seem to be going really well right now. I am really excited I borrowed the WW weekly booklets from a friend I had kepteverything from when I went except those, so now More info, reading is what keeps me ontrack. I have been on points all week. I need to stop weighing myself daily it is way to stressful - I fluctuate daily yesterday I was 105kg and now today 106 again I know this is normal but it sucks. ( I do want a new set of scales though - mine aren't digital) :)

WOOHOO!!! I am down 1/2 pound!! YES!!! I'm down to 225.5 pounds!! That's a really great gift for today!! I have about 3 hours of work left. I'm happy though. I'm thinking of all the things that need to be done that I can work on! I hope everyone is doing well!! Have a great day!!!

How are you doing? Do ye guys mind if I join??I'm 23 and living in NYC.I'm on the ww plan.Its going ok this is my first week of meetings.I was following it alone last week and found that I'm better if I know someone else has to weigh me.I've got 40 pounds to lose.I go to the gym 4 times a week and work out with a trainer an hour a week.I'd love some support and have a joke and a giggle along this journey. ok guys.here i am again. I am feeling really great today.I took a vitamin today and managed to stay awake.I think that has been an issue.i am really addicted to sleep.even with my five year old up ,its like i can't get enough sleep.I'm not tired r anything i just crave sleep.Well i went to t-ball practice with my little girl.and my dh picked on me because i cried when she walked in line, it WAS her first time walking in line.Can u tell she's my only child lol. anyway we are going back to the park tommorrow to play somemore. The park is only 5 minutes up the road so i am thinking that can be my exercise to play with my kid a couple of hours a day. i am eating smaller portions of normal food and seemed to have lost about a pound, but i had gone back up to 251 so i am back at square one but that's ok i will eventually get to square two. Congrats to all the losers this week,YOU GO GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so proud of you.

Ok ladies, I have not been able to read or post this week. I have been so busy at work. I am gonna try to read some tomorrow. I have not exercised once this week so I am not looking forward to Monday weigh-in. I just wanted to touch base with you all and let you know I am still alive and kicking. I hope you are all doing well and having good results this week. I will check in tomorrow. I have to run now to get more work done.

Hey ladies!!! Welcome Maria!!
I lost 2 lbs at WI yesterday so that puts me at -20!!!! Yeah! I wish I could tell a difference, but I can't. Maybe I will notice a change with this next 10. I still have to lose 8lbs in the next 3 weeks to meet my birthday goal. I think I can....I think I can..... Tomorrow will be a bit of a challenge. We are taking the kids to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Saturday. Today was western day at their school so they are excited to wear their new western clothes again tomorrow. They always have wonderful food venders so I will need to steer clear of those. The weather has been crazy... beautiful one day and cold and rainy the next. I am starting to see unwanted things growing in my flower beds but haven't had a chance to pull them because the weekends lately have been so nasty. Hopefully I can tend to those this weekend as well. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Paige |

Doing great here, staying OP everyday which is my goal! I'm working hard on upping the water & the exercise (I'm doing about 4 times a week for now). Enjoyed a nice walk in the woods with dh & the kids today : ), of course they all wanted to stop at McDonalds after but I choose a salad and will make sure to stay within my points by having a smaller supper tonight. I didn't make a challenge this week since my internet connection has been really sporadic lately. Someone came out to fix it today so hopefully there won't be any more problems though. Anyone have a great challenge idea?

I need picked up.......HELP!!!!
Girls I am really down. I have been doing horrible with not exercising and I gained 2 lbs this week. I am going to Virginia in 2 weeks to see my husband for the first time in a month. I was hoping to look a little thinner but does not look like it is gonna happen. I really think I am having more problems because I am training people at work and don't have time to post. You all are such great support and not being able to post daily is really affecting me. I have been really down lately too so I know that is making it worse. I need to see how many calories I should be taking in to lose weight. Do any of you have a way to figure that up??? I am really needing some guide lines. I was told that i needed to do about 1 1/2 hours of cardio a day and drink around 100oz of water. I do not think I can find enough time in my day to do that much cardio everyday. With my hubby out of state working there is not enough time to get away from kids to do a good workout.
I hope you all are having a better time with the lossing than I am. I have read a few post and I must say Congrats to you all for the hard work and your weight loss. Keep it up!!!! :) |

Hi Paige, I'm here - I've been sick in the last few days so a little off track no exercise lately but still losing. next week I plan on starting week one of WW at home again - to get another kickstart in. Its not that Ive put on weight but I bought a ww deluxe tracker and thought I would go through the booklets with corrosponding weekly booklets. I bought a new llead for my dog that is longer so I can jog with him. so next week I will be really motivated again - I still feel a little low today.

Well, I'm a newbie and could use some buddies to kick my arse when needed, so here I am! LOL
A bit about me... I'm Jenn, mom to one little boy who turns 3 in May. I work part-time, and also teach private music lessons and sell tupperware. Keeps me busy - too bad it's not enough to melt off all my weight. LOL I hit my highest weight in Jan. 2004 at {gasp} 258 lbs. Having once been a skinny little athlete/ballerina, it just kills me that I let myself go. So, I got tough (not tough enough though) and lost 30 lbs. last year. I've lost 5 this year. I'm good on portion control (most days) and water intake (most days), but suck at getting the exercise in...for someone who used to be a cross country/track runner, it's pretty darn embarrassing. I'm not following any specific plan - I've been down that road twice, and all I end up doing is wasting money. So I just do my own thing - watch what I eat, try to eat the majority of my meals at home and stay away from restaurants, especially fast food. So - any challenges go on around here? Where can I find them? I'm still getting used to the site - is jumping in mid-challenge cool around here? Or should I watch for new ones to start? |

Hi Paige, I was wondering the same thing. Where is everyone???? :( I have been really busy at work so no time to post. I have been trying to check in and post when I can but it seems that everyone is gone!!! I was doing really bad lately and was getting really down. I have somewhat picked myself up. I am only losing about a pound a week so it is getting upsetting at times. I hope everyone is doing ok. It is toubleing that no one is posting though. I am scared that I have lost the post. Well have to go for now.

Well it has been a beautiful weekend and we have been doing spring cleaning inside and out. My spring break started yesterday and my dad is coming into town tomorrow. We usually do a bunch of household projects when he comes. I think we are going to paint the living room which has 20ft. ceilings. I will check in again later. Paige |

I am new this forum, and I am still trying to figure how this one works. I am doing the south beach diet -- I have been on that diet now for two months - I started at 265 - I have lost 28.6 pounds so far. The forum that I had been with and just got the hang of - has suddenly vanished over night. I have come to really appreciate the support of others going through this as well so I am in need of finding a new place to get buddies through this :). I just to be in threads for 100 + and daily goals, a journal, and 10 lb challenge - by june 1st. All of which I was finding very helpful. I am sadden that I have lost contract with all people I have formed bonds with -- but I am hoping to form new bonds now with others here :). Anyone who can help direct me to the rights places to go in here -- it will be greatly appreciate - as I learn how this new place works :). Thanks so much Dove |

good afternoon everyone,
my name is carly, 36yrs old 3 children and a great husband. I am new to this group today... I have been going through alot of stuff for the last 12 months and more bad stuff to happen. I just lost my mom in march to pancreatic cancer and my gram also has it. at the moment gram is holding her own pretty well,, but as i have learned the tides change fast. I have been very depressed and not really sure what to do. I only need to lose maybe 20 lbs.. but my reason for being here is more to become more healthy. I need to change the habits i was brought up with because in my heart i beleave alot of that had to do with losing my mom and my gram have pancreatic cancer also. I am afraid now. really need support and encouragment to get me in the right mode. being depressed and unhappy is not helpful I know but people say in time i will get passed that. maybe maybe not. but one thing i know is that if my diet is healthy and wholesome maybe that would help me get my head back together. anyways, I did stop having so much sugar in my coffee. not completly go rid of it but working on it. I am a smoker so i need to also work on that. i am hoping to find support here. you all seem so very nice and supportive. i have been reading the forums for a week or so.. so please if anyone has a suggestions on how to make healthy meals and how to combine my foods correctly i would greatly appreciate it. |
