Afternoon Girls

Welcome Ann!!

Marti: What a beauty!!! I love it.....

UPDATE!!!! Well I went for my test yesterday and I'll get my results tuesday, but as far as the baby issue goes...they basically said there is nothing more they can do for DBF!!!! So they ref'd me to a fertility specialist to tell me what options I have!!!! Basically they doc said... How badly do you want a child? And what extent would you go to??? He got into donor sperm?? Which I have a bit of a problem with.DBF says that he would agree to that because at least the child would come from me and it would be ours, but It would also be hard for me, knowing its someone elses!!!! So I have to go January 5th to have a full checkup with this new doctor.....they dont know if DBF even has enough of a sperm count that they would be able to do something like in vitro....So the glitch now is that my health insurance will only cover fertility testing if Im married!!!! So Im waiting til the 1st appt to see what they say before I make any decisions on where to go from here?? I know it will all take a long time no matter what I do, but its just all overwhelming...so needless to say I was very upset and still am over this.....
JANE: I did go to have the uterine test once already, but now they are checking to see if the cyst has gotten any better.

MINDEE: I did get your email, you havent been forgotten...Im just waiting til I have some time to really sit down and let you get the full story here...so bare with me,,I will get back to you!!!

Hello to all the other girls, Katy, Angie, Cristi, Sue, Susan, KatieKat and anyone else I may have forgotten

Julie

Thumbs up

Ann~a big WELCOME to you! Look forward to getting to know you. You will love it here, the ladies are GREAT!

Marti~hope you are enjoying that new car! Hey, I think whether it was documented or not they are the ones who checked the oil last and if the plug was stripped that is their fault and they are liable and I definitely would fight them over it especially if you have to get a new engine. Regardless of what has to be done with the car they should fix it. Of course now that you have taken it somewhere else they could come back and say they stripped the plug. But it is definitely worth fighting them over.

Mindee~glad to hear Brandon is feeling better. It is crazy about the shops and school but better to close it than the whole town spread it around to everyone. I know last year they were asking the Catholic Churches to not do Eucharist because there were so many with the flu and if you have ever been to a Catholic Church they touch a lot and drink the wine from the same cup etc. I know if someone sneezes in their hand I won't shake it when we welcome each other or wish them Peace. I will just nod. And I won't touch anyone if I have sneezed even into a kleenex. Too many germs going around.

Jane~hope you had a pleasing time at Wally World. It wasn't so bad when I went yesterday, when I got there, but when I was leaving the parking lot was getting full. I don't like the crowds. I saw some of the questions on the Fact or Crap game and it seems interesting. I asked DD them and she guessed and then we sat and pondered them-who would have thunk it? The ones you think are crap are fact! Anyway, nothing at all with learning too! My fav game is Scrabble. Oh I got the light today! That was fast! And THANK YOU so much! I love it! I will have to try it out some time soon. Your chicken dinner sounds so gooooood! About how many potatoes do you use for you guys? Trying to guess as to how many I would need for 4 or 5 people. Do you use the big potatoes or small or med. sized? Anyway...I think I will try it tomorrow since we will be having chicken.

Okay ladies gotta love a good snowball fight! Aren't these so cute?! :snf: :snf:

Anyway...had some errands to run this morning. Ran to the PO real quick, luckily they weren't too busy. Then DS and I were off on a mission. We were trying to find him some Adidas shoes, some that he liked. No luck with that so he settled for a couple of other things. I just had him to finish off with my shopping and he wanted shoes. I tried to talk him into some but they were not the Adidas shoes he saw and wants. So we hit about three shopping centers before having lunch. I am glad he found some stuff as I didn't cherish the thought of more shopping. Just need to get some certificates mailed to my mom and dad and cookies made for Ms. Wanda (next door neighbor). I know I said I didn't bake cookies and normally I don't but wanted to take a little something over to her since she is alone. I will do that tomorrow for sure. Let's see what else is going on with me. Oh we definitely will be painting again! Not liking the yellow walls with the couch-doesn't look so great. V will have almost two weeks off for Christmas and New Years so maybe do it then. He is going to pick up the chair today oh and I need to call the salvation Army to see if they will pick up the furniture we had in the basement along with some other things. I feel like I haven't talked with you ladies in ages and now I feel like I am blabbing.

Hi to everyone else!

:sman: Take care everyone and I hope you are having a wonderful day :sman:

Edited...to say Hi to Julie, Ann & Ellen. I see you ladies sneaked in on me.

Julie~I know how bad you guys want to have a baby but would stepping back and waiting like a year be an option for you guys? I know how stressful trying to have a baby can be and it does make it worse. Maybe once you see the specialist and hear what he has to say you guys can take some time and think about your options. You are lucky that your insurance will pay for fertility issues if you are married, ours wouldn't pay a dime. I took some fertility drugs for a few months because of my age which I think is the reason I haven't conceived. Not that we are trying now-I am waaaaay to old now. But the drugs were expensive and didn't work and there is nothing wrong with either of us other than our age and it wasn't meant to be I suppose. We decided we didn't want to go thru spending thousands and thousands of dollars, not saying it is not worth it because it is. We just chose not to. We even looked into adoption. Can you believe that you can actually get loans to adopt??? Anyway...I wish you guys the best and hope it all works out for the best in the end.

Ellen--You are so silly! You're not a nut, you're a great joy to have on this forum. You bring humor and encouragement. And I love smiling everyday when I read your post!!

Ann--Glad to see you here! So easy to fit in here. As I said before, a wonderful group of women. After a few post, you'll feel right at home and we'll get to know all the secrets about Ann.....

Julie--Oh my, I will pray for you that everything turns out for you. What an ordeal you have to go through. As Cristi said, maybe a year of thinking it over and getting the stress level brought down will help??? I don't know, but I do think of you and DBF (does he have a name??) I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Cristi--The car situation is so very frustrating right now. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I hope they treat us good and do the right thing. The man who I dealt with KNOWS....(I know he knows because he has a studdering problem which he handles very well....but when we discuss this w/him....can't understand a word)......in that sense I feel bad for him. Wonder if he feels bad for us?

Well I went out and took a photo of the rose thats starting to bloom. Here it is:

Pretty isn't it? It's a strange rose. It blooms out yellow w/orange trim, then as it keeps blooming, it turns pink. Never seen roses change color like that.

Ok...I'll try and check back later.

Take Care

Hi Marti
The rose bud is gorgeous I can olny imagine what it will look like in full bloom ,Hugs and Kisses to Grandma and thankyou for being so sweet.I told you she was a cutie inside and out.

Hi Julie
Cristi definitly has some very good points, I have never been in this situation but I have heard and read alot about it, I know I mentioned this before , and I know you are busy and I don't know if you read, but if you do there's a book I read called Mixed Blessings by Danielle Steel which deals with couples going through the exact same things as you ,Its a wonderful book to read , I was so moved by the pain, the experiences ,challenges and blessings in this story.I know your probably thinking its just a book, but it really does touch on the issues and problems you are presently facing, I just thought you might draw some encouragement from it and it may help you to have a chance to relax and take some of the stress away. Hope you are feeling better I know that this is very difficult ,but miracles come in different ways. ((HUGS))hI Susan
Where are you, I miss you muchly, how are you feeling better I hope ,who said you were mean ?? let me talk to them ahhh your not mean , could'nt be , were you cheating on us with other chics, see what happens when you stray, if you stayed at home where you belong that would'nt happen
Is Gaby and the girls all excited about Christmas now that its getting so close ,I remember all the anticipation with my kids, if we could bottle that kind of excitement and happieness, .How's Rocky doing ? Hey did you leave without me ,should I unpack my hula skirt now. I hope your having a nice night ((HUGS TO YOU AND GABY))

Hi Mindee
I think you and I need medication for that poopin in problem So happy to hear Tommy got his licence and you are able to get around more easily. So Brandon has figured out those presents are for him already has he thats so cute, this will be the first of many wonderful Christmas's with the little sweetheart, and they only get better. I must say I like facial hair to ,but my daughter dosen't really except for maybe a little bit. Tim does look better with it , but you can't do much to ruin that face. I hope the little guy is feeling better give him Hugs and Kisses from Auntie Ellen Have a nice night Mindee

Hi Angie
I think you must have a life outside of us Your a busy busy gal, I bet Kathy and you are on a sleigh ride in the snow, I tried to get there with my sleigh but I was to pooped to continue on my journey so I went home. How is Brandon doing ,still going stir crazy ?? and is Tanner still a cutie give Hugs from Auntie Ellen Well I hope your having a wonderful night relaxing with Monte ...

Hi Sue
I hope your doing better and things are improving family wise ,I am thinking good thoughts for you and keeping you in my prayers,Hopefully the sun is still warm and shining down on you.

Hi Katy
I was wondering if you ran them Skinheads out of town its unfortunate that things like that have to be dealt with at all. If there isn't enough trouble in the world without people creating more. Did you have a chance to get your Christmas tree yet, sorry your pictures didn't turn out but I know your home iis lovely.I hope your having a nice night.

Hi Cristi
Its too bad you have to paint your walls again , but I know sometimes the colors just don't work, boy do I know that. Are you happy with the couch ,it really does sound nice.I wish my loveseats were a solid nuetral shade, I may have then reupholstered someday if I win the lottery.Did you finally get all your shopping done, the stores are so busy aren't they. Well Ihope that headache is gone .,and tonight turn off that tv and go to sleep girly

Hi to Everyone else I hope that everyone is having a great night.

Hiya ladies,

Marti - did you say this is the same dealership you just bought your new car from? Geez, I hope not! Your rose was very pretty!

Ann - welcome! Let us know more about you...

Julie - you sure have a lot to think over, don't you.... the answers will come, though.

Cristi - wow, the package DID get there fast! I only mailed it Tuesday, after the lunch I went to w/Mary. When I fix potatoes in the crock pot, I fix 1 for Katie, 1 for me, and 2 for Neal. Usually small to medium size. How many you cook would depend on your family and their love for spuds. Sorry Vince has to re-paint. I'm dying to re-do something around here.... just don't know what, yet.

Ellen - what instrument does your son play?

Did anyone show up for chat tonight? Katie and I went to see Ocean's 12 on the spur of the moment this evening. The movie wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be, but it wasn't bad. I haven't read any reviews at all, but I am sorta disappointed with it. There were some good twists to the plot, and George Clooney sure is easy on the eyes, but it just...... lacked something.... not sure what.

Have a good evening, ladies, it almost 10:30 here, so I'm headed off to bed soon.

Good evening ladies~

On kind of late but was busy with rearranging the living room. Man what a job. The chair didn't look that big in the showroom! It is almos as big as a loveseat-both V and I can fit it in and am comfortable.

Ellen~I must have passed on my headache to you-sorry! Hope you get to feeling better. Yeah, it's too bad V has to paint the walls! NOT! I look forward to the change even if it has only been almost a year of the yellow. I am thinking a shade of green will work wonders and last for quite a while. He really doesn't mind-anything to make me happy.

Jane~uh, yeah, that got here is record time I think considering the holiday mail and all. It cracks me up how a letter to Katy or Susan gets to them so fast and something local takes so long. I am ready for a change already to but am hoping that I will be able to keep the sunflower border-love it. And I won't be getting new valances soon as we paid too much for them to replace so soon. That and I really like the rich, deep colors. They have green in them so will work fine with the green paint whatever shade of green we decide on. Thanks for the heads up on the movie. I didn't care much for Oceans 11 but V may want to see this one, not sure.

Marti~I hope the guy stands up and admits what he told you-it is the right thing to do but we all know they don't always do the right thing. Afraid they may lose their job which would be kind of scary but...the rose is beautiful! How odd about the color but I bet it is beautiful when it fully blooms. Never heard of a rose changing colors like that but do know they have sooooo many varieties now days it gets confusing. Ours bloomed until after Thanksgiving when I finally cut them back. Alot of the buds froze but I never had roses that bloomed as mucha nd as long as these do.

Oh by the way ladies 3FC has their weight tracker thingys up now if anyone is interested in getting one. They are cute! I guess I am outta here till the morning. I'll go watch a little tv if I can stay awake and try out that new book light. Take care ladies and have a good night.

hello ladies....sorry for the quick fly by.

things are going good here. Brandon still has his cough, but it is lingering around. I am hoping that he gets rid of it soon! we went and did our christmas shopping on Thursday, we got everyone except for one of my sisters. we have to go to a book store to get her present. she is really into photography and wants to learn more about it, so we are going to pick her up some books.

I actually have to cut this short and go finish wrapping the presents. Tommy thinks I'm a goof ball for wanting to wrap Brandon's presents.

Marti - Your car is fabulous - and you look fabulous standing next to it...hope it works out with your other car....

Jane - I didn't make it to chat last night - and I don't have a friskypants excuse ( at least not for last night!) I had to go to the grocery store and tool advantage of the chance to go without children. You know you're a SAHM when..... this is how I get my "ME" time, lol! I should brainstorm a whole list of these....

Cristi - some friends of ours painted their great room a lovely light green and it was such a good choice - it makes your room feel more in harmony with the outdoors, kind of brings the outside in. I painted our bathroom a soft green which I like. My mom doesn't - I think its too bold for her.... she's just not into putting color on her walls.

Ann - welcome to JL - looking forward to getting to know you

Mindee - glad Brandon is feeling better. It's not crazy to wrap his gifts. Need those photo ops after all

Ellen - Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Ellen Happy Birthday to you! Have a great day and treat yourself to something really special!

Have great day everyone! Today I just hang out and hopefully get some housecleaning done. I will probably walk with my neighbor this a.m. as our weather has been good. My trees are gone! It feels kind of strange to not have them there, but I feel safer. I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but a neighbor's poplar snapped in two with the high winds over the weekend. The landlord got a notice this weekend that the trees ( there's a whole row of them in the yard) are too dangerous to the neighborhood and the city has ordered him to take them down. Another reason I am glad I did this when I did.....

Cheers
