Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I had a lovely lunch with DH and DD...lovely until they had a hat put on my head and a marachi band sing Happy Birthday! ugh.. The margaritas were worth it though.
Hubby got me a DVD player..yes, I came out of the dark ages!!
Not staying up tonight as I have a MRI at 6:15 a.m. Can't believe I let them schedule it that early.
Have a good Friday everyone.

TGIF, ladies!

Marti - I have a lot of stuff I could put on the NSV thread, but don't. Something happens, or is said, almost daily that makes me want to fall to my knees and thank God for helping me through this weight loss journey.

Jen - glad you're liking the new job. It's gotta give you a whole new attitude about going to work!

Sue - glad you had a nice birthday! So did you dance on the table?

Mindee - I really don't like it when people start comparing kids, especially the grandma, and can see why that would bug you. That sounds like a topic for our "WWJLD" thread, lol. If she continues to do this when the kids are old enough to understand, it can effect the child who is coming up short in the comparison. Personally, I'd ask my DH to tell her to knock it off.

Julie - well, once you know what you're dealing with, it will be easier, don't you think so? Fear of the unknown is the scariest kind of fear. At least once you know, then you'll have options.

Angie - oh poor Brandon! Glad this much is over for him. I had to laugh when I pictured him in that crib bed, lol.

Kathy - So sorry about your little one's knee! When will the procedure be done? Keyboards are relatively inexpensive now.. it may be a better option to get a new one than to try and fix the old one. Just a thought. Once I had one that the N wouldn't work, so I typed an M instead, lol. Made for some funny words!

Hi to Cristina, Susan, Sam, Katy, & Shanna.

I had a sad day yesterday. We had to put our old beagle Rosie to sleep. She was blind and had other health problems. Neal took her, and then brought her home to bury her. I kept thinking about the day we got her, when she was a pup, and how she hid behind the couch until I bribed her out with pieces of a hot dog. I know she is pain-free now and will meet me on the Rainbow bridge someday. (Thanks Shanna!)

Gotta get my teeth cleaned today. Can't believe 6 months has gone by already and it's time for that again!

BBL,

Afternoon ladies!

I've been up an hour and got a whole lot of cleaning done already!! Laundry, dishes, garbage taken out, refridgerator cleaned out, floors swept and so on! Who knew that all could be done w/in an hour?! It's friday and I don't want to spend the weekend cleaning. James is picking up Jhanai tonight so she'll be here when I get home!!

Talked to some people about the parking situation and for nights....I found a solution! After 5:00, the parking structure (which has a walk way above the road) is only a $1 a night, and I never have to go outside on the way to the car!! I was thrilled! I just walk through the hospital and out the door and there the car will be! So now I have a safe parking spot for nights. And of coarse the next two weeks are days.......so I'll be parking in the same spot.....

Anyway,

Jen--My regular hours will be 6-2:30 once I'm fully trained on everything. Who knows how long that will be. I'm used to working nights so it's not an issue. At Sony I worked all the hours they had...noon-mid., mid-noon, 6pm-6am, 6am-6pm.....so I'm pretty flexible. Just gotta get back into it again after not working for over a year!

Julie--I'll keep my fingers crossed that the bloodwork comes back w/information that will help you.

Angie--
I too had to laugh at the visual of Brandon in the bed! I even laughed at the thought of the nurse searching for a "little" one!! I hope he starts to feeling better. I'll be sending get well wishes his way!!!
(((((GET WELL BRANDON!!))))

Sue--Glad you had a wonderful Birthday! What a great gift! Did you get any movies to go with the DVD player?

Mindee--I also don't like it when grandparents compare grandkids. My mom (step) would do that all the time. Drove me crazy...so my visits were limited. Then my ex FIL would do the same but w/his dogs! I had my little Jhanai one time ask me, "Momma, why does grandpa love the dogs more than me?" OMG...broke my heart!! She was two, almost three. So I always make sure she knows she's loved very much.

Kathy--Sorry to hear about Kristi.....what happened to her knee?

Jane--I'm so sorry to hear about your Rosie! Such a sad thing to go through. I know when it's time for either of the little dogs here to go......it's going to be hard on James. Those are his babies. Sending hugs your way!
((((((HUGS)))))))

Good Afternoon to the rest of you girls! It's Friday let's enjoy it!

Ok...I have more things to get done before I leave tonight. So I best get. Have a wonderful weekend!

Marti thats great, safer and cheaper! Gotta love that. Have a great weekend with your babies...lol
Jane, oh how sad to have to put your Rosie down.

Sue, arghhh I hate early appointments,,,the traffic here is insane. That hour I would have to wake at 3:30-4 am to make it.

Kathy, whats with your daughter? And if you need a ped surgion let me know I can give you our's

Brandon is feeling alot of pain still, he accidently moved his foot and almost passed out with the pain...ouch Codein helps,,,makes him sleep ALOT.

Tanner had football practise agian tonight, was going well, except there is a boy who Tanner says doesn't like him and keeps body slamming him from behind, its illegal to do, and the coaches have talked to the whole team, he was caught doing that to Tanner a couple of weeks ago but nothing other then a tongue lashing was done, well again tonight Tanner was hit from behind by this kid,,,well talking with other parents who had trouble with the same kid I figured I would talk to the head coach. That didn't seem to do nothing, told him how its been happening and how hes been after him was made to feel like I was being soft or something. Really ticked me off even when I told them about he was mouthing off right in front of me,,,
Well anyways Im walking to the van when another kid is freaking on this *kid* and he starts mouthing off, I know I shouldn't of but I just had enough of this one bully. But I told him to stop being a bully and that I was really pissed at him and wouldn't be taking anymore of his behaviour that I would get him kicked off the team if he continues to hit from behind. I told him to don't be such an idiot and keep trying to hurt his TEAM MATE. I did do this in front of another coach and did talk to that coach after about what was going on, he told me to talk to the head coach,,,told him I did ...blah blah, said that there shouldn't be on bully on the team beating the bleep out of his team mates as he has been doing. He said he would look more inot it and address the team about this....
So what are everyones plans for the weekend? We are going to Value Villiage to find halloween costumes...have lunch with another football mom and her player. Go see a movie later,,,then off to Sylvan for Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Im making my prize winning soup...lol
Well beter get going, wanna watch tv...wow tv,,haven't watched much in so long...hope I know how to use the remote.
