Oh, you might also consider the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, New York. That would be closer to you and I don't think you can get much better than Mayo.

Dee, I agree with Shelley & Ramona, you need to see someone soon! Remember the shoddy care your mother received in the hospital? You have a problem, even if the doctors can't find it, otherwise you would not be in so much pain. Does Larry have insurance in the States with his job? Please check into the information Ramona gave you!!!!! SMOOCHES & HUGS!!!!!!

Gayle, Ramona and Shelley, thanks for your concerns. We only have to MRI machines in the city. My SIL is checking to see if there are any other ones in the province. Larry's work insurance does not pay for health care in the states. Maybe when I see my doctor in a week I can ask if there is somewhere else he could send me. Ramona could you tell me about how much a MRI costs. Ours is covered by the goverment so I have no clue. We got to figure out something. This sucks.

Dee ....Geez honey we hate to see you in so much pain. MRI's are alot and Ramona may know the prices. Wished you find a good doc to get to the bottom of this. You have been in pain way toooooooo long my friend. I am thinking of you everyday and wished one of us had the miracle answer for you. Take it easy and know i am here for you and everyone else here.

Gayle.....How are you feeling??? Better i hope, i know you have been down lately and don't like to see you that way. You are always upbeat for us and know that just like for Dee-I am here for you also.

Girls tired tonite, Have had my niece all weekend and that is a chore...

Vickster, get rested up for the kids again on Monday! Thank you for being concerned about me, I cried and cried last night, I think I just need to get it out every so often. Nancy has went from walking with assistance on Wednesday to being physically lifted by Friday. Thursday she developed a bad tremor to her arm and her hand will not open or close, it stays in a fixed position. It seems like everyday, there is a new development. I'm staying away over the weekend, I'm sure she will have plenty of people checking in on her, plus I don't want to be a pest to the rest of the family.

Dee, PLEEASE see about coming to the States for help, ok???

Ramona, I have a question for you that has been bothering me. Did it bother you or the rest of your family to have a friend call and come by when your mother was ill? With Hospice care, I voluteer my time, so I have a schedule of when I will be with the client, the family expects me and there is never a problem. In Nancy's case, I'm there as a friend, I want to be there for her, plus maybe give the family a break, but at the same time, the process of dying is very intimate and I don't want to be in the way or have any harsh feelings. I plan to continue visiting even if she gets to the point she is not responding, I guess it's probably selfish on my part, but I just want to be with her. I thought maybe I would call on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, maybe visiting for a short time on those days, if even to hold her hand for a few minutes. Please be honest and tell me if it would of bothered your family to have someone call or come by that often.

Well, I guess all of the other Floozies are out "Floozing" around!!!!! I hope everyone is having a great week! I had a class this AM, painted some benefit auction stuff this afternoon, will go tomorrow AM to cut my FIL's and MIL's hair and then to get Steve packed again. He will be out of town for a few days. If you have a minute, please post and update us on your life!!!!!!!

Gayle, my mother's two best friends were there every day for the last two weeks of her life. They sat by her beside, held her hand and talked to her. To me it wasn't an intrusion at all, it was a precious part of my mother's life and a testimony to her friendship with these women. I have to admit there were one or two who came, I really feel, just to make themselves feel better because they never came to visit when she was in a better physical and mental state. But in your case, no, I don't think you are intruding and I don't think her family would think that either. Just think how Nancy might feel if you didn't come to be with her. Just follow your heart.

love you...

Hi everybody! It's been a very busy weekend for me. Went to Tampa for the birthday party, which was okay. There must have been 20 kids under the age of 2 there. The main thing was I got to see the twins and my nephew and neice before they move. I found out that he is going there (Ohio) for his fellowship. He wants to do gastro cancer surgery or something like that.

My dryer broke the other day, so we went and bought a new Whirlpool today. The one I had was a Whirlpool and lasted for 22 years, so we decided that would be a good brand to get. It is drying clothes as we speak. We also got all the stuff to prepare the rooms to paint. I got a new fixture for the kitchen, and all the stuff to get the wallpaper off the walls in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. I think we are going to go with an off white for the living room and hallway, a darker shade (taupish like) for the dining room and a robin's egg color for the kitchen. I decided to go ahead and paint the kitchen instead of wallpaper because not only would it be cheaper, but it will be much easier and quicker to paint. Mike had to buy an 8' latter because we have cathedral ceilings and I want to paint them also. I will be very busy once the vacation starts.

I couldn't even run very far this morning because I kept thinking about how bad my house looks. I told Mike that I am tired of looking like white trash. I am embarrased for anyone to come over because of all of his junk. He never wants to throw anything away, and it is a real thorn in my side. I told him I was moving out if he didn't get the junk moved. There has been an old spa sitting on the side of the carport for over 15 years, there is an old satillite dish that has been around for 10 years, there are 2 old automobiles (1 doesn't even belong to us!) That particular one I gave him a week to get out of here. I am so tired of everything all over the place, just because we have more space to put everything. I'm going to spend 1 week in the house and the other week on the outside, I guess. Hopefully I'll be able to get everything done over the 2 weeks off that I have.

I know this seems very trite compared to everyone's else problems right now, but I just needed to vent to my Floozie friends! Thanks for listening.

Shelley, it's important to you so it's important to us! Sometimes you have to give the men an ultimatum to get things done. I wish you luck but I don't envy you. I hate painting! hahaha

I got my butt in gear and ended up having my carport sale yesterday. I feel like the "clean sweep" team has been here! If it wasn't nailed down, I sold it! We ended up making $700.00! I was so thrilled. I couldn't believe we did that well. So we are taking that and heading to Branson this weekend. Time for a little rest and relaxation!

Hey to all my Floozie Friends.....hope you have a great week!

Hello

It's me!!!!!! First I want to say I'm so sorry for being away so much.I'm sure you understand though.

If you're wondering why it's taken so long it's because we have painted & cleaned everything & still been moving my Parents last few things out!! We just about have all moved out. We are finally down to the last room!!!! It's the kitchen. We just started in there. We have to strip ugly wallpaper & paint the walls & every cabinet. Also laying down a new floor. When we are done ALL the windows will be cleaned & painted, walls, border etc. It's already looking like a new house!! It's been a long, hard job but when it's over it will be worth it.

We have also pressure washed the big deck & sealed it.We also need to have the carpets cleaned then we can start moving some things in. I want this done so bad! I'm starting to "feel" all this & it's getting to me.My body hurts so much. I sat down the other night and cried my eyes out. I don't think we'll ever move again!

Gayle,
I just sat down & read all the posts & played catch-up. I'm so sorry that you have been depressed & worried. We have been through so much over the last five years that I know you will make the right choice. It's got to be so hard watching a close friend die. If you feel in your heart that you should be with her...then by all means GO! Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. I know myself how special you are & the many gifts you have so I know your friend knows this too and wants you with her. In the end, you will remember all the good times with her along with this horrible ending she's going through.But I bet the good times will out weigh the end. Right? I love you and maybe we need to get together & have a good cry together. Hang in there. {{{{ BIG HUGS }}}}

Ramona,
I often think about you & how your family is doing now. I now it's still hard but hopefully it will get easier everyday. Good job on the yard sale!! Wow $700.00!! That's wonderful!!! I hope you have a wonderful time in Branson!! How are the boys? Have you talked to them?

Dee,
My poor Dee. I don't know what to say!!! I'm soooooo sorry that you're still hurting. I can't believe that you can't get an MRI until Sept.!! That's crazy! Hopefully your SIL can find something for you sooner. Like I've said before, I wish I could take the pain away from you. Good people like you shouldn't hurt for this long. Take care hon & remember I love you & thinking about you.

Shelley,
I hope that you'll be able to get it all done in 2 weeks. I wish we could have. Mom & Dad's house had a lot of work to be done. But it's finally looking great! I'm glad you had fun at the party. I bet you couldn't wait to see the twins!! BTW: Drew is having to go to summer school this year to make up a subject that he failed. When exactly do you go back? Did you say that you only have 2 weeks off? If so....That's horrible! Congrats on the new dryer!!!! Did it dry those clothes good???

Vicki,
When we get moved in, Debbie, James, Wayne & I are coming to Ky Kingdom for the weekend as a get-a-way, relaxed weekend. What motel do you suggest? Are you taking time off this summer from your daycare to take a vacation? You need one!

Debbie,
I'm looking forward to coming up tomorrow. I need a break! I don't care if it's sunny, cloudy, stormy, rainy or what! LOL!! I'll lay by the pool and rest!! And we can talk!! Also thanks for coming this week and helping me too. You're such a good friend & I love you!!

Where is: TINA.....JENNELLE.......CAROL.........DONI........ CHERYL......& WANDA???? Are you painting too????? Come out where ever you are!!!! I hope you're ok!!!!!

Hopefully I'll post again soon!!! I promise! Hugs & I love you all!!!

Sherry, it is good to hear from you. It sounds like you have worked harder than I even want to think about. But, I know the end results will be well worth it.
It sounds like we all need to get together and have a cry party. Today is the first day since mom passed away that I haven't had a million things to do. In fact, I didn't do anything today much but lie on the couch and cry. I guess today's the first time I've really had to just stop and think about the last few months. Hopefull we will all feel better in a few weeks. If we don't we'll soon have to change the name of the thread to the "weeping floozies"! But, I know we don't want that so I'll do my best to get my chin up.

Well, it's almost time for the Andy Griffith Sunday night double header. No matter how many times I watch those old black and white episodes, I always end up smiling.

Hope tomorrow brings smiles to you all........

Ramona-Thanks for making me laugh. When I saw that you are watching the Andy Griffith show I just laughed to myself!! I used to love it. I don't watch it anymore, but when they had the Green Acres marathon, I kept my TV tuned to the channel for the 2 days that it was on!

Sherry-I can just picture you working your heart out! I am glad that you are almost finished and will be able to sit back and enjoy it soon. BTW, went to a Title I meeting on Friday, and they are really buckling down here on schools that don't meet their AYP. If it isn't met 2 years in a row, they give the students an option to go to another school within the zone. Our minority rate is 70%, so it is very scary. We won't know if we made it until this coming week. Something tells me we didn't. If that is the case, we may lose the few majority kids that we have to other schools.

There must be a cleaning bug in the air! I had a 4-day week-end this week-end and I CLEANED....I still need another couple of YEARS to finish the project, though. I bought a new vaccuum cleaner at Sears and had to test it out. It actually picks up the cat hair, so I'm happy with it!

I should have a yard sale. As it is, I'm just too plain lazy! I'm donating all my stuff to the Humane Society's thrift store. Except the old furniture I don't need anymore--they don't take it, so I don't know where it's going.

Dee, hope you're feeling better today. I feel so bad for you--I had a boyfriend who's father went through some of the same things you are, it didn't seem as though they dragged out his treatment as long. Of course, he's a vet, so he got treatment at the VA in Little Rock.

Gayle--I don't think your friend or her family will mind having you around. If you start to feel like you're in the way, just start to slowly taper off the visits. Or you could ask them if they'd like more "alone" time. Just don't take it personally if you do that and they say yes.

Shelley--sounds like you've been having excitement lately. Wish Stewart would get rid of all the junk he has!

Hi to everyone else!!

Doni-You poor thing! I hope this month goes better for you. Pink eye is no fun at all, not to mention your knee and everything else. Please know that I am thinking about you. Your weight loss is awesome, though!!

Cheryl-I know what you mean. I don't have yard sales either, but my MIL does, so everything goes over to her house. Today is the day I start my 2 week remodel, clean, etc. cycle! Wish me luck!
