Good Afternoon. We had the party and me and my mom got a little drunker than we should have. I think she got sick in my bathroom and they took her home.I am trying to sober up a bit so I can see straight right now. It was fun though but I am NOT a good drinker. I had WAY too many margaritas!!!!!! She cried at the DVD we had made from all of the old pics. It was a cute DVD though.

Good Morning girls!!! It is sunny and warm here today....too bad I have to work. :lol: I am trying to type right now and Little Gray saw the smiley face on the treadmill on my signature and is trying to grab it. haha

The party turned out good but I was a little unimpressed that my grandmother(my Moms mom) didnt come to the party. She helped us gather the pics of my mom for the DVD so I figured she would at least have come to watch it. Her Brother didnt come either. Me and Mom had fun anyways. I will try to post a few pics in a minute. I will warn you they arent good because Brit just snapped while everyone was almost peeing themselves laughing.

I want so bad to start my diet tomorrow. I hope I have the will power to stick with it this time because if I dont then I will be back up to 265 pounds again before I know it. I want to feel healthy again and not lazy.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I keep forgetting what day it is. I love being off right now. :D

It is so hot here. I have to do any outside activities (ie shopping) before 7am or it's too hot and very draining. Even the kids in the neighborhood are gone. Ashley has been so bored because all her neighborhood friends are on vacation, at camp, or in daycare during the day. It is so quiet here.

Last night at 10pm it was still 104 outside. :yikes: I am soooo looking forward to our trip to AK. Of course, as Angie mentioned before, it will be hard adjusting to heat again when we come back.

It is almost 7am here and so I'd better get busy working.

FYI--they say Arizona (Phoenix area specifically) is where the devil vacations. :lol:

I will say one thing about the heat: most winter visitors have left and the traffic, near where I live, has thinned.

ANGIE, all I can say is I wish I was at your party it looks like you and everyone had a blast! I am so bored, I have not been invited to a party like that in ages. I love that you put 50 candles on the cake. I believe in you, and that you will get back on track, all though you do look great in the pictures. Good Morning Beautiful Ladies!!!!! I am going to try my hardest to change my eating habits to a more healthy lifestyle starting right now. I know it wont be easy but I also know I need to do it. If I must absolutely have something not so good I am going to try to make it stop there and not beat myself up about it.

I started my Dr. Phil book today. I figured it cant hurt to read it. Who knows, I may learn why I keep losing only to regain it all back again. It said that 95% of all dieters gain all the weight back that they lost. That made me feel alittle less like a freak. I just want to once and for all lose it and keep it off.

Today is my Dad's 51 birthday. I should go decorate his car while he is at work. haha I wanted to take the big Over the Hill banner and do that to my Mom's car on July 1 while she is at work. haha She would probably kill me.

Cal that is pretty darn hot. What gets us here is the humidity. It is 82% right now and the temp is 86. Not a pleasant combo. We are like you guys in that we stay inside most of the summer. I think if I had a pool I would be outside more though. It helps if you can jump in and cool off.

Julie I saw on the weather channel the other day those tornados you were talking about. Scary stuff. Did you know that we are the only place in the world to have them?

My boss is gone today so I will have time to chat. Plus, I have to work on a report for school so it helps when he isn't here wanting me to do actual work. hehe

Hey girl, we were posting at the same time. Be on the look out for something else in the mail. I guess the card just got there first. After I sent it I didn't know if what I wrote on the inside made any sense. I meant that when I was going out for dinner I would be thinking about you guys while I was eating that fattening pasta. I have been dying for some so I will be splurging on my b-day. Joe wont let me open anything until my b-day so I will thank you know and once I open it. He is so crazy about that. I kills me too. I have them sitting on the kitchen table so I look at them every time I am in there. Which seems to be alot latley. :lol:

Kempy, How can you guys stand that kind of humidity. We havent even been really warm this summer yet. It rained the day of the party so we were inside most of the time...until we got a little drunk and then we were outside and loud. Luckily for my neighbors it is only once a year. :lol:

I saw the tornados on the Weather Channel too. I told Jay that you guys get the worst of everything up there. Bad winters and Tornados. I would be so scared all through tornado season. Do you have a special shelter just in case or anything?

I have never even seen a tornado. They say that we have some around here but I have neever been close. There was one yesterday along with some hail but we just got LOTS of rain at my house. Sometimes I think my house should start to float off with all of the rain that we get. I am keeping my fingers crossed that is dosen't rain today. You kind of get used to the humidity. One the days that it is 50% it is like a treat. Everyone is out enjoying the day and event hat is high to some poeple.

I am back again!! :lol: I am trying to find a DVD-Recorder. We spent $90.00 on the DVD for my mom and we dont want to pay him to make copies. Plus I need to copy all of my VHS movies of the kids on to DVD's so we dont lose them. I am so bad with computers that I dont know what I need to buy though. I might have Dad come up and help me.

Kempy, You guys have been having a rainy year havent you? I was watching $40.00 A Day on the food channel this weekend and she went to New Orleans. It looked lively and the food was so yummy looking that I dont know how you dont weigh 400 pounds living there. They say that New Orleans is one of the best places in the USA to eat.

Noelle, Thank you for my gift. They are so pretty. I love the bag because pink is my favorite color.

You don't have to tell me about the food here. :lol: I can tell when we go somewhere that the food here is the best. I think some places are sacred to add spice but I think the more the better. I showed Joe that map you sent and that just makes hi want to plan a trip up there even more. He wants to go hunting up there. I will have to see if I can find out when the season starts so we can look into coming up there. That way, he can hunt and I can hang out with you. Sounds like fun huh? :D

Kempy, What does he want to hunt? I think turkey hunting just happened.Deer and Moose hunting is in the fall. But I think they already did the Moose drawing for this year. I could be wrong though. :lol: Greenville is the place to go for Moose hunting since they are usually everywhere. It is ALL woods up here. I want to take the kids to Baxter State Park sometime but camping spots are all booked a year in advance. They have a rock that we used to slide down when we were little. The hiking is supposed to be nice.

I know what you mean about the weather not being that warm. But is suppose to get warm here. We do have a basement to go in when they give the warning. Part of our basement has windows so we would have to go to the back part.

Angie he likes to hunt ducks and geese. Do they have a lottery for that too? I bet the season is really early up there. It dosen't start here until the end of the year. I wonder if there is a site I can find that would tell me the dates. Is there a hotel in your town that is nice? Does you town have a web page? Would you want us to come up and visit?

My sister just called and invited me to my own party on Saturday. Ha! I was hopeing that they would do something for me.

Julie, I swear we are 2 peas in a pod. Me and Jay dont have any friends either. We only hang out with the kids and the dogs. That is why I took advantage of the birthday party and got drunk. We are the most boring people on earth I swear.

Kempy, I will try to find out when duck hunting is up here. I am not sure when it is. There are hardly any hotels up here because it is so far in the woods. Greenville does have a nice timeshare thing that they just built and a few bed and breakfasts. Actually there is one bed and breakfast in Guilford that is pretty on the outside but I dont know the rates or anything. I can tell you that you would be bored stiff here. :lol: There are woods and more woods. Bar Harbor is pretty and Camden but they are both about an hour and a half from my house. But it is the ocean and nice. Greenville has a Moosehead Lake and that is it...I swear.!!! :lol: But having said all of that. I would LOVE it if you came up. I really would like to actually meet in person someday, I feel like I know you so well already. I am sure we could find something to do.

It looks like it is about 8:00 at night right now. It is so dark. I think we are about to get hit with a big storm. My poor dogs, I thought I would put them outside today so that they wouldn't have to be stuck in the garage and now it is going to rain all over them. I know that they can get inthe dog house but both of them have to crawl in there. :(

Hey girls, Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was pretty uneventful. It's been hot and muggy here too. We had a bit of rain today so it cooled things down a bit. I hadn't realized I didn't post for a few days! I swear I was up to my ears doing estimates and paying bills. I had my computer-geek friend come over to check something out on my work computer and well, you know how it goes when a computer person takes over the computer--you can't work on anything...they could sit there for hours! I KNOW i started posting replies the past few days but got interrupted every single time. I'm relaxing a bit now--I've got too! I just got back into the office from running errands and an accident happened right in front of my eyes. I wasn't involved in any way, but I was immediately behind the one that caused the accident. It was traumatic for me :eek:.

Angie, your pics look great and you guys look genuinely happy. You're welcome for the bag, and I actually remembered you liked pink so I chose that color for ya. That poem was too funny!

Kempy, hope you guys don't get hit too bad with that storm. Although i like rain, the deluge and thunder and lighting is what freaks me out. Hmmm, I bet Rick would get along w/Joe and Jay...they could all go hunting. We only have deer, pheasant and wild boars to hunt here. No ducks or moose that I know of :lol:

Cal, I imagine you must have an A/C unit for your home. What are the electric bills like? Have you taken Ashley to see any more kids movies? I'm hoping to take my son to see Two Brothers, the film about the two tigers. He's already seen Shrek 2 and Harry Potter twice.

Summer, interesting choice of music! You're my kind of person. I like all kinds too, but I guess I'm more of an 80's heavy metal type rock band person :lol:. Well, that and classic rock...I can go for classical music too so I guess I'm pretty varied too.

Just a couple more days and we leave for cooler weather. The temp is staying around 107 during the day. The mornings are nice, about 80, with a little cloud cover. It's still hot, but not as intense.

Angie: I do believe that our summers are like your winters. Most people here stay indoors (can we say Mall??) ;) I did all my errands this morning before 9am. I love that Target opens at 8. :D I liked your pictures. From the look of them you are NOT boring.

Kempy: I have never seen a tornado either, although I lived in Texas for a year and in fact we were there when they had an outbreak of tornadoes in May, 1999. Hubby took a picture of an area where one touched down about 17 miles from where we were living. It looked like a war zone. I grew up with earthquakes and I am actually much more comfortable with them than with tornadoes (if anyone can be comfortable with earthquakes :lol: ) I can't take high humidity; I'm not used to it. Whenever we go to Italy during the summer, it is awful. It's hard to get used to taking a bath(shower) and not being able to dry off.

Noelle: I plan on taking Ashley to see Two Brothers on Friday. My sister wants to go see Spiderman II, but I'm not interested in that. Ashley has seen Shrek 2, but she doesn't want to see Harry Potter; she says it's too scary. She's seen the first two, but after they came out on dvd. I guess she'll wait for the third to come out. Right now she's into anything that has a princess.
Our electric bills are not bad. We keep the a/c on 82 during the day and at night; during the time we are normally moving around (6-8am and 6-8pm) it is set at 78. I'm able to set temperatures on the thermostat for particular times. In fact, I'll set it high for while we're gone and it will be set to gradually cool down about 1-2 days before we get home. Even though I've had it for a year, I'm still trying to figure out how it works. Right now my brother has to talk me through the programming.

It is right on the ocean so it is about an hour and a half from my house. I am trying to find something closer too. I think duck hunting up here is starting in September(which would be great for leafpeeping) I am sending Jay up to the town office to get a booklet on hunting dates and rules and regulations today to be able to tell you for sure. It is strange that our families have always hunted but noone ever hunts duck. I will see what else I can find out for you. Jay said if you wanted to you can stay in the RV while you are here too.(It would save you some money and still give you some privacy) We have an electric thingy hooked up for it so you could have electric and heat. Would you be bringing the pups? That wouldnt be a problem either. Maybe Joe can find something out from the paper I sent you too. I sent the whole thing so every page should be there.

Noelle, I hope everyone was alright in the accident. You sound like you have been VERY busy this weekend. I hope things slow down for you. You and Rick can come up too. We can send the guys off and then we can all go shopping for the days. :lol:

It is fine if you stay inside once you are done but don't walk out into the heat and moisture. You will need another bath within 15 mins. :D

Noelle was it a bad wreck? You need to take some time off for yourself. I think I wasnt to go to the movies Thursday ngiht after dinner. I think I wasnt to see Shrek. I loved the 1st one and my brother said this one was even funnier.

Today is my brothers b-day. I am going after work to buy him a fish for his tank. They took our salt water tank and set it up in their house. It was just getting to hard to keep clean. I was tired of dealing wiht it. They have kids and the boys love it so I thought it would be nice for them to have it. He really doens't know what to put inthe tank so I thought that would eb a good present for him. I just hope that they store got a shipment in so I will have something to pick from. Everytime I go they are down to nothing.

I am trying to get in extra veggies and fruit right now. I had a Subway sub with veggies for lunch with 1/2 a tomato and 1/2 banana. I skipped the chips.

What is everyone doing for the 4th? My kids are leaving Thursday night to stay at my sis' house and then my Mom is going to pick them up Friday for the weekend. YEAH!!!! I get out of taking them to the fireworks too. haha

Angie we didn't have to share. He is 7 years older than me so I doubt he would have wanted a little kids party. :D I told Joe about the sites you sent me and he is upset b/c he wanted ot go this year. I guess he will just have to save his money for next year. I am going to see how much a flight up there would cost us. We aren't going to drive that would be to long in a car. Angie and Kempy my husband really use to hunt alot until the kids came along. I really don't like to eat anything like goose or duck though. My fil eats everything he gets pheasant, goose jerky :p? Yuck. I really don't like venison that much. How exciting you guys are planning out to meet. Maybe we should all put some money in a jar once a week or month and that can be our Vegas or Hawaii fund!! That would be great.

Cal you poor thing in the heat. I really like the 80's but forget anything above 90. Well actually anything hot is better to me than winter, I think I would even take extra hot weather over winter.

Julie, I am dead serious when I say this . I think we should all plan a trip to Hawaii. We could do it with just the girls to make it cheaper and we could all split a big condo. I have no problems sleeping on the floor if it saves us money. I dont think we would actually get much sleep anyways. :lol: It would be so much fun to do. We really should plan to do it right off. I could fly to your town and finish the trip with you or something like that. I would really be game for it if you guys are.

Angie you are going to love DSL. I had it at work first and I couldn't stand dial up once I got home so we ended up getting it and now I can't even imagine what dial up is like.

Oh well, so much for my weight loss for my b-day. Now I would have to lose 5.5 lbs. CRAP! I guess I shouldn' t be complaining though, b/c I didn't gain anything huge.

We have an appraiser coming over today. We are trying to refinance our house so they have to come do the appraisal. What is great though is that the hosue a few lots down from me just sold and it sold for way more than we thought it would. That is going to help us tremendously. I am curious to see what ours comes in at. We have been there for 3 years so I would like to see what the values have done since then.

OK, as of tomorrow I am old. :lol: I am a littel calmer about it than I was last week so I guess I will live. My brother and sister both said that 30 was really good for them so I will keep my fingers crossed that it will be the same for me.

Hey, I was thinking. It would be cool if any of you guys could do a vacation around the time we would be in Florida. The Tropical Palms has cute little cabins that sleep 6-8 people for $79.00 per night.(If noone could afford that we could bring a air mattress and you could sleep in the screen room of the RV. It is really thick with a floor and panels that close for privacy.) We could all hang out together and have fun. The resort is great, they dont complain about anything and they have a heated pool that is open 24 hours and laundry,etc. I would love to have us all get together even for a weekend.

I got my DSL up and running(all by myself even :lol: ) now I need to know...do you shut it off when you are done or what? I took out all of my Norton Antivirus software since it hasnt been working for the last few months and I am trying to get Macafee8.0 but whenever I click on the links to it the page comes up empty, any ideas?

Kempy, THANK YOU for the gift certificate. I am going to try to find something on nutrition since I know what to eat but not really(if that makes any sense) Do you have any suggestions?

You are so welcome Angie. What type of things on nutrition are you looking for? We leave our DSL on but just turn off the computer. But, since you took off Norton I wouldn't leave it on. I would get some new software soon though. You can download from Norton too. That is what I use here and at home.

Anything that I type in for antivirus...Norton,Symantec,Macafee,ect. will come up with the listing but once I click on them it says page not found. I am supposed to be able to download some free from the Verizon sight but it wont come up either. I am getting a headache right now from this. :lol:

Have you tried to call the people at Verizon to see if they can help you? You may have a bad connection or something. I would call them to see if they have some answers.

I have been having this trouble for a few months.

Oh, did you run your Norton's b4 you got rid of it? You may have a virus that is not letting you get onto the symantec site. I was having that problem when I had that virus. Do you do all of the windows updates when they pop up on your screen?

I havent had any pop up for a while.

If you go to start and click all programs you shouold have a link for windows updates. You can do a search for critical ones that you might need. I wouldn't do the service pack for windows though. I did that at home and there is alot of stuff that I didn't need on it so now I have the stufff on my puter.

You may be able to go into the site under safe mode. Do you know how to do that?
