Hey Girls, how are ya all doing?

I had a pretty good day today, I tried to drink tons of water, did not have breakfast, had salmon for lunch and supper was salad, corn on the cob times 2 cobs, pan fried chix breasts on these really awesome buns our grocery store had, they had cheddar cheese in them and green onions and peppers, they were like huge kaiser rolls. Topped that with tomatoes and mayo. I am going to try and down as much water tonight as I can. I am always thirsty, but I hate to get up and pee at night :lol:! There is the cutest little baby bunny in our yard that eats the clover in our grass. The kids and I knock on the window and she just looks up and doesn't even get scared. Anyone on have plans for the weekend? I know Noelle your going to be crazy busy with your show. Had to can the slow one, huh? Better luck with the next one :crossed:!

Angie I agree with Noelle, your parents do look so young. Maybe that is why we but heads with our moms because they are young. My mom is still in her forties. I wasn't planned ;). Are you going to watch House Hunters tonight? I just love that show....I always have it on when I am picking up toys and the kids juice and night time snacks.

Hello Ladies,

Today was my last day with kids. :dancer: I had workshops only on Monday and Tuesday, but I was teaching one week of summer school; today was the last day for me. I also got all of my stuff crammed in the garage. Get this, hubby's car still fits in the garage and I can still walk around it. I just love having an organized garage.

Angie: Your :yikes: :yikes: is my :hat: :hat: Of course, I do have one kid at home, but my neice wants her for a couple days next week. We'll see.

It's sooooo hot right now. After moving everything here, I just took a shower and I'm now just feeling cool enough to try and start something for dinner. It is sooooo tempting to just go out, but I'm too tired and hot. :)

I hope to be able to post more often. We leave for Alaska 2 weeks from today.

Good Morning beautiful ladies!!! My parents are so tiny I dont have a clue where me and Wendy get our weight problems with. :lol: We are taller than both of them. My Dad actually hardly ever eats but he always has a soda or coffe in his hand. I think supper is his only real meal of the day.

Today is Jay's birthday. He turns 32. The kids have given him gifts and I dont know what to get him. He wants one of the 5 pound lobsters that they sell uptown so I think I will get that for him and he can puke on lobster. :lol:

Cal, I have been watching the weather channel and I dont know how you can stand the heat. I think I would die. It will be hard to come home from Alaska and readjust to the heat I bet.

Julie, We are never sick of your postings. I love to come here and read what you have been up too. I have been trying to post more but the kids are always in need of something. Brit is pissed that I am even on here right now because she is waiting for a phone call. :lol:

Noelle, Good luck with your show. We should really all try to pick a destination and plan a trip to meet. We have been buds for so long it just feels wrong that we havent met. I feel like I know you guys so well already. I can just imagine the fun we could all have. I definately dont get much fun in sitting at home all the time. :lol:

Well, I had better let Princess have the phone back.(who knows maybe they will all leave me and Daddy home alone for the night. :devil: )

I hope that the reason no one has posted is because everyone is busy doing fun weekend things. :cool: I am having fun shampooing the carpet. I just finished the living room and am now waiting for it to dry so I can vaccum. Already it looks and smells great: like new.

Angie: Yes, it will be hard to readjust to the heat after we get back from Alaska. I hate going anywhere right now. It's hard trying to take Ashley out because she complains and has a hard time trying to open the car door because it's so hot. Since I got the windows tinted, it has helped with the seatbelts not being so hot. In fact, the car is a lot cooler because I also put up a sunscreen. Without the sunscreen and a steering wheel cover of some kind, one can get 2nd degree burns if not careful.

Noelle: Are you still looking into going to Calif in October? I look forward to meeting you. Hubbie wants to go to Italy, but I told him that I'd rather wait until March. I love going in the spring.

Only 12 days until we leave for Alaska. I'm really looking forward to the trip and seeing hubbie. Ashley sent him some little gifts for Father's Day. He wants me to take a picture of our garage because I brought everything home from school and now it's a mess. I hate moving (even if it is just from one school to another)

I would love to send postcards to everyone from Alaska, but I don't have any addresses. I did have Angie's for awhile, but I lost it. If anyone can think of a way to share addresses and/or phone numbers without posting them I think it would be great.

Good morning ladies :yawn: It's been a hectic week and it doesn't look like it's gonna slow down just yet. We've been up past 11 these last few nights, getting home late after the Home show closes at 10. Today will be from 10 am to 9:30 pm. Rick's already out the door but I think I'll join him in the early afternoon. I don't know where he gets all this stamina from but...(lucky me :devil: )

Cal, yes we are definitely planning on the CA trip for October. I have my itinerary somewhere, I'll PM you with the dates. Can't wait! :dancer: My gosh, I knew Father's day was coming and we've been so busy lately I haven't gotten anything for Rick! Oh well, maybe I'll do the all day shift tomorrow and he and he can get the free massage for dads at the show. (I was always a cheap date :lol: )

Noelle, How did the Home show turn out? I hope you got lots of business from it.

Here is a picture of the lobsters. The little one is what people normally get, it is about 1 1/2 pounds and the big boy is 4 pounds. We had to take a meat pounder to break the claws open. We all pigged out last night and today I picked the legs and bodies and got enough meat to make lobster rolls with fries for everyone tonight.

Last night was perfect(except no sex. boohoo) I had lobster with lots of margaritas and The Rock. :lol: We watched The Rundown and 50 First Dates and got a little tipsy.

This morning I made Jay some scrambled eggs with maple bacon,onions and cheese with toast for breakfast and we got him a hat for Fathers Day that says Dad To The Bone.

Angie I am still here :). I can't believe the size of those lobsters. Yum! How funny, we had the same thing for breakfast this morning, expect omlettes with bacon in them and cheese and mushrooms, toast, and carrot cake muffins for dessert ( I know dessert for breakfast) :lol:! Not much happening here. We are still waiting for the girls scooters to come in so we can get them for their birthday presents. Yes, Brit will be getting her birthday gift a little early. :lol: Her birthday is in October but we figured we would let her have the scooter now so she doesnt have to watch the twins have fun all summer.

Good Morning Girls

Angie we are suppose to be getting rain later on in the day. Oh well grass needs it I guess. I am freezing right now, it is only like 60 degrees. I think today I will do some cleaning, scrubbing floors, sinks and dust and like always pick up toys.

Last night hus went with the kids to the in-laws (out-laws :lol:) and I thought my dad is all alone today (parents are divorced and my bro. lives in CA.), so I took the hour drive to get to his house, brought steaks, baked potatoes and we cooked out. It was really nice. I have not seen him for a while and when he hugged me when I first got there he said "you are losing weight, and getting to skinny, I can feel your bones!" That made me feel good. And then we went and pigged out :lol:. After dinner we and sat on his second story deck that is the length of his new house he just built on a lake and it was soooo beautiful, the sun was shining off the water and you could here a pin drop. It was fun, but I didn't get home until late but thats okay I took the back way country roads and cranked up the radio. I am never alone in the car so it was so weird and fun at the same time.

Anyway enough about me, come on everyone lets post today and the rest of the week. I pigged out this weekend, lets get this thread hopping :)!

Julie, That is nice that you spent the day with your Dad. His house and surroundings sound beautiful. I like to drive with the radio blaring and on back quiet roads too. Except that me and Jay are always together so there is no need to drive anywhere alone so I havent done it in about 6 years and now I am scared to. :lol: I know I am way to dependant on him. I hate it in a way but I love it that we both love to be together all the time at the same time. (if that makes any sense.)

I liked my weekend - one of my oldest friends got married and it was a back yard wedding - so pretty and I say alot of people I have not seen in ages...My brothers got baptized and my youngest brother (who is 16) called and asked that I'd be there. It was so touching. Father's day was fine - after presents and grilling my dad just wanted to watch the US Open. I cannot do golf on TV but I lasted a little while my dog was wrestling and playing with my brothers...

Angie yes my Dad's place is beautiful, I wish I could live up there. You know I am way to dependant on my husband too. I am just a little different I would not want to be with him 24/7 :lol:!!!! I think we would drive each other crazy. But maybe if we had your profession of baking we would get along because the goodies would make me happy all the time :).

Well check in later. Oh btw I am kind of starting a new diet today....super high fiber. I was reading an article that the average person should get 25-35 grams a day. And in the article it said people in rural areas of the world average about 60 grams a day. They have less diseases and weight problems. How in the world could the average person eat that much here? I bought the doctor Phil Weightloss book this weekend and Monday(right AFTER the party this Saturday) I am going to start reading it in the evenings when I have the most trouble with my eating so maybe it will keep me focused on weightloss for a while so I can get my "click" back. Plus Corey and Brittany are feeling the effects of not eating right and they want to start a new healthier way of eating. So maybe we can get this again. Third time is a charm right? I know it took me 3 times to actually quit cigs for good so maybe I will be the same way with weightloss. Ramble...ramble...ramble....

I am trying to get my money back from Shutterly. I ordered prints of the 2 pics of me and my family and me,and my sis,me and Clyde from them. I was going to give everyone copies in nice frames for their birthdays. Well they came back and they had actually cut me and my sister in half on them!!!! I am so pissed because the party is Saturday and they wont email me back. I am so going to make them refund my money.

Angie: It was 106 degrees today. Way too hot. Ashley played in the pool with her cousins. They looked like prunes when they finally got out. :lol: It's 7:30 now and she's already nearly asleep. She told me that she wants to go to bed because she's soooo tired. I'm trying to keep her up until 8 so she'll sleep in tomorrow to at least 6am. Yes, she is an earlybird.

Summer: I am so looking forward to our trip. Hubby said yesterday was 80 degrees and he was hot. That would be sweater weather here. :lol: It's really hard to remember to include sweatshirts, long pants, and sweaters for this trip. We usually don't need stuff like that until January or February (when we get the 2 weeks of winter) :lol: Most of our things are already packed. I also hope I can post some pics when I get back. We got a new scanner and I'm still trying to figure it out.

Good Morning. Not much happening today for me. I heard that it may rain on Saturday for the party. That will suck if I have to squeeze everyone into the house and keep an eye on Rebel around the 2 cousin (teenage boys) that dont mind. I wouldnt want Rebel to bite them.(even though I would like to slap them myself. :lol: ) Usually when we have it outside I just gate him into the feild while they are here.

Hey guys. Sorry, things have been crazy around here. Joe was out of town last week and this week so I was spending what little time I had with him. Now I am trying to get a vaction planned for my early graduation gift. Plus, I have to keep up with my work and school. I am feeling a little overwhelmed with the big day being next week but I will get over it. I bet I am getting all worked up over nothing. I ma sorry I don't have time to stay and read all of the posts. I have to get back to work. I will try really hard to get back here either tonight and if not then tomorrow.

Hello Hello, I'm here. I came here and tried to post yesterday but I had people coming in and out in the afternoon so I didn't have a chance to finish. I have been lurking though. If it makes anyone else feel better, it's raining here right now. The home show gave us some good results. We got lots of leads and two solid bookings + we sold a $4K bathtub that we had sitting around the warehouse a few months :cb:. I'm still recuperating from the weekend. I really need to start exercising again. When I wake up I feel tired--that sucks! I know when I was walking regularly I could stay up til 11 or 12 at night and wake up at 6 the next morning totally refreshed. Now I want to be in bed by 9 and don't wanna wake up until 7 and I'm still feeling tired. What's it gonna take? I know I need WW again. The threat of having to weigh in weekly to a live body keeps me on track for the week. I'm too embarrassed to go back weighing more than I did when I started. I'm pretty sure they see it all the time though. After all, if everyone who lost weight kept it off, they wouldn't be in business would they?

Angie, I'll pray for sunny skies for the weekend for you. Did you hear back from Shutterfly? Is that something where you upload your pics to them and they send the prints back? I can try to print them for you if you like. The auto crop feature on my software wants to cut half of you and Wendy out too. I don't know why that is. I'll play around w/it sometime today. (I have the Dr. Phil book too but I haven't gotten past the first chapter :p )

I have just a few mins to pop on so I thought I would.

Noelle DU hasn't really started yet but I am sure it will be a little easier this year since we know what we are doing now. I can't imagine having to do this every year. I took a great pic of the dogs yesterday. When I got hom ehtey were both asleep in their Igloo dog house so I snuck (sp) up to the kennel and snapped a pic. Of course that woke them up but once I develop it I think it will be cute. I agree that labs are great as pets. A little needy sometimes but that is coming from a cat person. I love all animals though.

We are going to Destin, FL. We love it there. We go every year so why stop now. I was just having a hard time finding something that I liked. We are going in Aug. I wont be done with school until Sept. but we wont have time then to head out for a whole week.

Angie I wont get upset about the card. I just think it is great that you are sending one. Thanks. I don't think we have anything planned. He hasn't said anything to me but I don't think I really want to know if he did plan something. Last year we had a party but I had to plan it and this year I want someone to plan it instead of me. It isn't fun when you have to paln your own b-day party.

Kempy, I know it sucks to have to do the planning and shopping for your own party. Just think when I do my parties noone ever really thinks of me because the twins come first and the last 2 years have been my parent Over The Hill party so I kind of get lost in it. :lol: (The twins have gotten lost for the last 2 years too. ) This year they have their scooters so they wont have much to open but I am going to let them have a few friends over some afternoon for swimming(If we can keep it warm for more than one day in a row)

Angie, so when's everyone moving to Hawaii? :lol: We have great weather for exercising most of the year (so WHY don't I do it?), an abundance of fresh fruits, fish and nice, tanned men :lol:

Angie we grilled burgers for supper, with cheese and all the fixings. Chips, soda, I don't think I did that great. Did you watch Who Wants to Marry My Dad Last night, anyone? Damn, I am hooked on another stupid reality show.

Noelle I been trying to talk my husband to moving to HI. I said get odd jobs for a year and then become a policeman. You know I love your state has everything to offer, coconut, coffee, macadamia nuts, fresh fruits and veggies, fish, and especially the tanned men in uniform of course! Sassy me :devil: :lol: :D!!!! My hus would kill me if he knew I was talking like this. Oh well, I gotta have fun somehow. I go to this Paula/Simon site and someone dedicated a video to them of little clips of them and it is to the song The Way by our lovely Clay Aiken. And it is so romantic. I got my hus to watch about thirty seconds of it and he walked away. What a dork ;)! I said look at the way he touches her and kisses her. Now thats love. I told him I love Simon and asked him if that bothered him and he just walked away. Well I do for crying out loud, I think he is soooo sexy! And I heard alot of naughty things about him :devil:! Well I am getting to carried away. I better go clean up the kitchen. Julie :)

Hey Kempy, I feel for ya. I know how hard it is to be doing all that you can and seeing nothing happening. Just rest assured that you are working your butt off and trying to lose it and that is all that you can do. You know how hard it gets when we get really close to be where we want to be too. The scales just dont like to move for us. It will happen. Just try and relax and enjoy your birthday and then move on from there. You only turn 30 once, you might as well have fun,right?

Hey girls just a quick little hello and stress release :lol:! It is almost 2:00 again and I have not eaten lunch. Work around the house has just been crazy today....dd, when I went to get her out of her crib she was soaked head to toe with pee, sorry tmi....so I had to bathe her, scrub her mattress do all of her bedding and clean her dolls and washed her stuffed animals :yikes:, and I am still doing more laundry now. Sorry for the b****ing. As you all know the work never ends. I was thinking I wish I could find a job and have my hus stay home. But I could not find one with the money he makes plus insurance. Somedays I think I really do work my butt off harder than he does. In fact I know I do!! But don't get me wrong I love my kids soooo much and feel lucky to be with them.

Angie how did you get your hair done? I bet it looks cute. I need one really bad too, but my hairdresser just moved so I have to find her! What are you making for dinner? Kempy, I found a dog on Petfinder that was listed as urgent so I called the rescue group to see about her and she is in Louisiana. They want $325.00 for her adoption fee. Isnt that a little steep to save a dogs life? How about half that and you can still afford her. I feel so bad for her because she is probably going to get euthanized. But I cant spend that kind of money and then find out she hates kids,dogs,cats,etc.

I ordered DSL today. I cant wait. My computer makes it so hard to get on here that I swear I waste 5 or 10 minutes just trying to get to this page. It is so annoying.

Kempy, I know you are gone for the weekend after today so Make sure you have a good one okay? and we will see you bright and early Monday. My package should be there in a couple more days too.

Good Evening Girls

I would like to get to bed early tonight but I doubt it. Just can't fall asleep until around midnight. Plus we are having terrible storms here right now. Tornados have been touching down here about 40 miles south of us. Right now I do not hear the tornado sirens going off, but it is suppose to hail, and have extremely high winds, but hopefully no tornados ;). Anyway had bratwaurst and sauerkraut and onions, baked beans, cornbread. Just way to much to eat. Noelle about the high fiber thing, it seems to fill me up for longer periods of time. I have alot of stomach problems, I don't know whats wrong but just trying to find a solution. Maybe a vacation to somewhere tropical this winter would do the trick :lol:.

Angie you must have had days where you wanted to pull your hair out. But you made it so far and they sound like good kids. Well here comes the thunder and lightening, going to go watch the sky for a little bit and pick up and try to get into bed. Good Night Girls. Julie

Julie, I hope you had a safe night last night. Tornado sirens. :yikes:I have been hooked on Storm stories on the weather channel lately and all they have been doing is tornados. I can not imagine having to worry about something like that. SCARY!!! We dont have tornados up here thank god. Maine might be in the middle of nothing but at least the crime is low and we dont have tornados or earthquakes or any poisonous animals. I guess that is countered by the fact that noone lives here and the pay is low. :lol:

Yeah, I think my kids are good kids when it really counts.I am just so glad they are almost teens because then they are so close to being grown up and then comes the real fun....GRANDKIDS!!! I will make the best grandmother because the kids can go home after I am done playing with them. :lol:

Noelle, You didnt have to do anything for my birthday. Just being my friend is gift enough. I know it sounds cheesy but it is true. You guys are my best friends.

I am making a conscious effort to get movin and improvin on Monday morning. My party is Saturday and I will have 6 months before we leave for Florida. If I stick with it I should be able to lose a good chunk of my weight gain before we leave. I know that I dont want to be 60 pounds heavier than I am now by then and if I dont start now that will be a reality.

Angie I love Def Lepard and all those 80 groups, like Motley Crue and other crazy 80's songs. Now I can just imagine you think I look like a biker chick :lol:. Hey there is nothing wrong with biker chicks :), I think they are cool, chaps and all :lol:! No, really I am not a biker. I do like a huge variety of music though. I love the song Amazed by Lonestar, By Your Side by Sade, and I must admit even a little bit of hip hop. I remember that Monkey Song and I laughed so hard when I heard it! I also love Hey Mickey Your So Fine You Blow My Mind Hey Mickey, it is stuck in my head :lol:. But anyway I will try and find out who sings that monkey song.

Well tornados did not hit us but south of us they got alot of damage, they has been so much rain the last two months flooding has been terrible here. Knock on wood I hope my basement stays dry. Well better go clean up breakfast. Talk to you all later. Julie

Julie - stay safe lady! ohmigosh! I cannot imagine what a tornado siren sounds like :yikes: I would probably :censored: my pants if I heard one...I wouldn't know what to do. In upstate New York all we worry about is SNOW. That is like a 4 letter word this time of year. Maybe a small quake now and then but - just stay safe and keep being the domestic goddess that you are. I had lots of digestive issues too but the doctor told me to lower my intake of white flour and get some more veggies and fruit and it was rough the first week but I feel so much better now.

Bravo girlfriend! :cp: I had plateaued for such a long tiome the scale is finally moving down again because I am more aware of what I am eating - I have this program called Diet Power that is amazing and they let you do a free trial. It is food and exercise logger - amazing! I was eating alot more than I realized...:hun: but if and when you have time check it out...

Noelle - Aloha! Move to Hawaii? Anytime but I might be homeless at the cost of real estate there. ;) How is the family and what is up for the weekend? Not another home show is there? Well, I made it on for today. Barly though. I think I was asleep on the sofa earlier so I popped up and came in the office to say hi. I just let the dogs out to go to the bathroom and now I can't get them back in. In fact I can't seen to find them. It is kind of creepy out there too right now. There is a serious amount of frog noise right now. I guess I should be more afraid of if it stopped huh? :lol:
