Hey and good morning to you guys. I am keeping my fingers crossed for no rain today. I really don't think I can take it anymore.

Noelle, I have never understood cars. You bring them in for one thing and something else goes wrong. It makes me wonder if the mechanic is actually fixing the 1st problem or making a new one for me. Ditto with the J-Lo thing. I love being married but i am not going to marry every guy that I date. I think celebs have gone over board with it. Marriage just doesn't mean anything to them.

Julei i ened up eating thopse tortillas last night too. I had to go to a homeowners ***. meeting so I needed something fast. When you make your qeus. do you put them inthe oven of pan sear them?

Angie I don't think we have anything planned for my b-day. If Joe does he is hiding it really well. I kind of want a big thing but I have to go to school the next day so I can't get to wild and crazy.

Well, I have lost 2lbs of the 3 in water weight that I put on so I only need to lose 5 more lbs to reach my mini goal. I swear this is never ending. :dizzy:

GEMonster 06-08-2004 11:10 AM

Oi...I am already wishing for Friday - what does that tell you?

One other business partner resigned today but with respect and how it should be done...Her mother is dying and she lost her father earlier this year and she cannot travel anymore...so understandable. Just  sad to her leave.

J-Lo and Mark Anthony I give it a year...that's a head scratcher...If I married half the guys I dated I would be more divorced then Liz Taylor

Angie what a nice time you had with your Mom, sister and family friend. I love what you are doing for your mother -with all those pictures...Very Cool! Have a margariita for me! I want to go to Quebec too! That city is soo beautiful - not to mention great crepes! :hun: je me souviens beaucoup des bonne temps!

Noelle sorry about the car...that's a pisser. Drive safely please. At least my sister doesn't live in Hawaii I would be much more scared for you! ;) As for the Reagan question - first grade is where I was and I remember the teacher being very teary and saying something about (as I understand now) Assassination but it sounded to a bunch kids like gibberish...what's a sassination? I learned later at home

Julie I want that recipe for Quesadillas please - that is one meal my husband and I can agree on! I married Mr. Picky eater... gotta love him anyways!

Kempy D what is up with you? Congrats :cp: on the 2 lb loss. You can do it!

Cal 3 more days luck lady! I hope Scottsdale is not too hot for you right now!

I ate like :censored: the past couple of days. Of course, as I am saying this as the Ice Cream truck is rolling ever so slowly bye A bout of depression is creeping up and I am trying like a madman to head it off at the pass but I think its just a step ahead sometimes.

but good news is I did 325 minutes of exercise last week Sun-Sat.:hyper: This week I am targetting the same amount of time again.Today I am going to play Tennis! Thursday may be a scratch except dog walking because I have to give a presentation on strategic planning to a local board ...Oi, I want Friday. Saturday I have to give the same talk again to a different group

Any ideas on how to whittle the waist? get rid of love handles? problem area of choice for me. Any tips would be good. My head is spinning on the many different offerings of crunches and breathing techniques that I am so tired I just want something that works. I don't mind working out what I mind is wasting my time. My weight is not moving either. My DH is so encouraging so I keep trying...that is all you can do, no?

Have a great Tueday all!

calnative 06-08-2004 10:54 PM

Things are finally slowing down at school. Tomorrow is a half day and so is Thursday. I've got all my report cards done and the students' folders are done. All I have left is checkout on Thursday. I'm going to Calif for a couple of days on Thursday; in fact, I plan to leave school around 2pm to head over to SoCal. I will teach 4 days next week for the first week of summer school then I will be off until Aug 2. Am looking forward to a nice relaxing summer. Hot, but relaxing.

It has been hot here. 108 yesterday; cooler today, only 104. The heat is really draining. It's not quite 8pm and I'm already thinking about going to bed.

Angie: My hus would love to go to Quebec so he could speak French. He said he's had quite a few opportunities where he's at to speak French and Italian. One day we'd like to visit Quebec.

I'm going to try to post more later. I'm having a hard time staying awake right now. Hello to everyone.

Cal

Kempyd 06-09-2004 10:06 AM

Well it is my last day of the week here at work and I am dragging butt. I am drinking one of our energy drinks at wokr. I mean I don't drink coffee so I need to get my caffine from some place, right? :coffee: I was on my puter at home all last night trying to get it fixed. We had a virus that had gotten pretty bad b4 we realized what was going on. Well, now Windows XP wont let me in. I was on the phone w/ Microsoft for about an hour and they couldn't help me so now I have to call another # when I get home to see what they can do. The tech told me that this really isn't that uncommon so I feel a little better. All I can say is NO MORE DOWNLOADING ANYTHING!!! :nono:

Cal I have been over your way once and that heat is really bad. This coming from a southern girl. It is really different than what I am used to though. When we were in Vegas we looked like we were on drugs the whole time b/c our eyes were red and dry and ouor noses were bleeding. I guess you get used to it but I need the mositure. I think the humidity is what preserves us down here. :D

Anybody have anything exciting to talk about?

angieME 06-09-2004 11:03 AM

Hi. I tried to order DSL online last night but the damn websight wouldnt let me. I emailed Verizon and of course it was the wrong department for it. YIPPEE!!!

It is hot here today. They say we are gonna hit 90 (that is cold for you huh,Cal. ) Then we are getting a cool front that is supposed to bring Thunder and hail tonight. I hate thunder storms.

This week has been fun for me. I am trying to do the ear mite cream in all of the cats ears and they know what is going on. Tigger has to be bundled in a towel so he cant claw us but he still manages. I have been doing the stray cat too. No reason he should be uncomfortable. He sleeps in a culvert at the end of our road. Poor boy!

I went to pick up a new lightbulb for the pool. $40.00 for a bulb!!! :yikes:

I still havent gotten on track. WHY????? I am f#*@#@* monsterous right now!! Why does that not register with my brain when I want to eat crappy fatty food? I feel like a sausage stuffed into my size 14!!!!! shorts. Ya would think I would wake up and get with it wouldnt ya?

Kempy, I saw a birthday card the other day that reminded me of you. It was pretty funny.

We actually had to sleep with the window open and the fan on last night. That was a first for this year. Rebel has been dipping in his pool and he went into ours with Jay last night. Candi has been panting alot. I want to try and post a pic of My cat Fat Cow. Last night she was sleeping on the rail of the pool and that cat was hanging over both sides of the rail, her fat was almost touching the water. I feel like her.

Kempy, I have been meaning to ask you, When you guys go out in the airboat have you ever had a snake fall out of a tree into the boat or anything? I think I would die if that happened.

Kempyd 06-09-2004 11:17 AM

We don't go under trees with the boat Angie. You have to stay in an open space b/c the boat is pretty tall. (and loud) We have gotten a few spiders in there with us but I make Joe kill them pretty fast. I hate that you are having such a hard time right now. For some reason this time of year seems to be hard for every body. YOu would think that having to get into a bathing suit would push us but it doesn't.

angieME 06-09-2004 01:36 PM

Oh gross. I would probably jump overboard without thinking just to get away from the spiders.

I am going to be so embarrassed at the birthday party because for the last 4 years I was skinny at one year then back up to 200 then back down and now I am back up again. It just gets so embarrasssing to deal with. Frankly at this point I dont even care if I am fat or not I just would like to hit a weight that I stay at for more than 2 days. I have been climbing in weight ever since I met Jay and I dont ever remember a time where I wasnt drastically changing. Now Corey feels fat and he wants to diet with us. I feel so bad because I think I did this to him with all of my unhealthy ways.

I didnt cook a single thing today because I am hot and yucky. I am trying to clean the house right now while Jay cooks the donuts. I have to go fill everything in a minute but at least I didnt have to start that big oven and blow us out of the kitchen.

I am downloading the itunes file so I can download the singles to be played on moms DVD. It takes an hour and a half. I want DSL so bad.

I will check back later. Kempy, If you dont get a chance to talk to me before you leave for the weekend, have a good one.

jbbm 06-09-2004 04:43 PM

Hi girls just have time for a quick post....

Kempy I like them in the oven but if I don't have the time I pop in the in the micro.

Summer I usually just use flour tortillas, (trying to switch to wheat on a regular basis) top them with shredded cooked chicken, black beans, mont. jack cheese, cheddar cheese and broil them or micro if short on time. Top with salsa, taco sauce, or sour cream. Yum, I wish I had the stuff for them tonight!

Angie hugs, I am sure your family won't judge you. If anybody does look the other way. Love yourself girl.

Noelle did it cool off by you? We were almost up to 90 and now it is in the sixties. I hope the new guy works out. Good luck!

Whats for supper everyone? Last night I made veggie lasanga....yes I am totally addicted to melted cheese. I don't know what to make tonight. Maybe tacos, or hamburger helper. God knows I need the help , not only with the cooking! Well gotta go I think I need some caffeine :coffee:I feel so tired. Check in later. buh bye....Julie

melekalikimaka 06-09-2004 04:44 PM

Aaaaccckkkk!!!!! I'm having stress right now :bomb:. I have so much going on right now but I just needed to take a breather and slow down a little here.

Angie, do you guys have :snail: dial up? I know some areas don't get cable or DSL access, that would be really difficult for me. I totally know how you feel on the diet front. I feel embarrassed sometimes when I drop Michael off at school because when he started there last summer I was smaller than I am now, but the thing is, I got even smaller during the school year, but now I'm bigger than I was when he started. Did that make sense? I know I have a hard time maintaining an even weight. It's either lose a lot, or gain alot...I have a screwed up relationship with food, for sure. All I can say is I know how you feel :^:

Kempy, we have had to "wipe" our home computer within the past month because of some funky virus. It's running fine now but sometimes the firewalls and virus alert programs are such a pain.

Cal, only 1 more half day by the time you read this, woohoo! :cb:

Summer, just wanted to give you :high5: for sticking to your exercise goals. 325 minutes of exercise is awesome. I think it may even help with the blues, hang in there girl. Sorry, I can't offer you anything on getting rid of love handles, mine seem permanently affixed

Hey Julie, where ya hiding? How are the kiddos doing today. Well, I need to get back to paying more bills, so I'll check back later. have a good day.

melekalikimaka 06-09-2004 04:44 PM

haha, Julie you and I were posting at the same time ;) Of course you're addicted to cheese, you live in WI right? That's your responsibility to uphold :cheese:

jbbm 06-09-2004 11:07 PM

You bet ya babe, born and raised cheesehead Noelle! I just wish it had the nutrition value of celery ! Noelle by the way I have been reading on the internet about the health benefits of coconut oil. Do you know anything about that? I heard its good for digestion, skin, and weight loss even though it is an oil and has fat in in, I am assuming the good kind. Well its after 10:00 here so I am going to fall into bed. Talk tomorrow girls. Julie
GOODNIGHT :)!

melekalikimaka 06-10-2004 03:20 PM

Happy Thursday ladies, it's like a Friday right? You know, it would've been a holiday here in Hawaii tomorrow anyway, it's King Kamehameha Day (say that 5 times fast  ). King Kamehameha was the first King to unite all the Hawaiian islands under one rule in 1795 (I think...). So there's your little bit of Hawaiian history. Did any of you get to watch Regan's processional into the Capitol? That's history in the making.

Just another busy day here, gotta run for now.

angieME 06-12-2004 11:12 AM

Happy Saturday girls!!! Boy everyone must be busy running this week. I know the feeling. It seems like I am never caught up lately.

Noelle, The Hello Kitties arrived and they are so cute. I am tempted to keep the Hawaiian one for myself but I already told my sis about it so I guess I cant.  I will send a check out to ya on Monday to pay for them.

Well, I am addicted to the itunes websight. I have been downloading and downloading. I am sure my neighbors hate me. I am not content to just play the music but I like to crank it loud.Lucky for them we dont party so I rarely have it loud at night but I can sure wake them up in the morning. haha I love being able to just buy the one song that I like and not wasting my money on the whole CD.

Kempy, I was watching House Hunters last night in Louisiana. The houses were so pretty. I like the different names for the different styles. The shotgun house? NEAT!

Well, I have to go to Haley's party and then shopping for the day but I will try and check back later,

jbbm 06-12-2004 01:14 PM

Hi Ladies, Miss Ya!!!!

We must be all super busy, I agree Angie. Yesterday we took the kids to Thomas the Train event, at the railroad museum. It was alot of fun. Took a real train ride for about twenty minutes, looked at some old trains, and of course spent way to much money at the gift tent. Too bad it was raining, but we made the best out of it and it was great.

Angie you and I must watch the same shows, I LOVE House Hunters.

Noelle how are you doing? Things slowing down at work? Did you watch the Reagan last showing last night? When the guys folded the flag over the coffin and gave it to Nancy I cried. It was such a beautiful setting, with the sun going down and open fields. And you and I just love those men in uniform  , they are just so sexy. I can't believe the way they move together and it seems like none of them ever sweat with all the clothes they wear.

Cal out of school!!!! Yeah....I bet you are so glad.

Kempy how are you doing? Working on the yard? I like working in my backyard, it is like therapy, ya know? About the quesadillas I like to broil them but I micro if I do not have the time.

Summer what I put in my quesadillas is-a flat tortilla white or wheat, top it with cooked shredded beef, chicken, or pork, black beans, mont. jack cheese and cheddar cheese. Broil or micro if short on time. Top with sour cream, lettuce, salsa, or taco sauce, and green onions sliced if you have them and homemade gauc. if you have the time. Great job on all the excercise and keep those inspirational quotes coming! The really lift my day.

Well going to get going, it seems now I have sinus infection or something going on, so I am going to go get some drugs in me, no darn time to be sick!
Love to all....Julie

melekalikimaka 06-12-2004 02:37 PM

Hey ladies, just popping in to say hello. I've got nothing planned this weekend and will just take it as it comes. Rick's cousin and her husband are here from Kauai. They're opening their own restaurant soon and came over to order all their equipment from ovens, ranges, flatware, tables, chairs....everything. I dont know what kind of cuisine they're going to offer but when they have the grand opening later this year I definately want to be there.

Which reminds me, Summer have you started your cooking classes yet? I wish I could cook like Nigella Lawson, she's great to watch. I like her too, she's a little big (never trust a skinny chef!) but she's a beautiful woman.

Angie, glad to hear the package arrived safely and in time! I picked those up from the Navy Exchange so they cost less than what the sticker price says. Don't worry about payment because they weren't really all that much. Consider it a gift, really. And if any of you think of anything you might want that I can get here, let me know and i'll go scouting for it. I had loads of fun at the flea market last weekend--looking for hawaiian things for gifts.

Julie, my son absolutely loved Thomas the Tank Engine a couple years back. That day out w/Thomas must've been so much fun, I'm jealous  ...Thomas the Tank Engine rolling along..."there's Gordon and Henry, Edward, James and Toby, Annie and Clarabell, and don't forget Percy..." Darn! Now I've got that song stuck in my head  We spent almost every single weekend at the "train store" when my son was 2 1/2 amassing each wooden train and video they had at the time . He doesn't really play w/them much anymore but I've put them into storage since they're great toys. Oh yeah, men in uniform

Cal what are you doing to celebrate your freedom this weekend? Anything special planned w/Ashley? How much longer until you get to visit your hubby?

Kempy what's going down in LA? Anything fun this weekend?

Well, Michael's now bugging me to play his Thomas game on the computer (since I mentioned Julie visiting the "real" Thomas), gotta run for now. Have a great weekend all.

calnative 06-13-2004 10:35 PM

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I am still here and kicking. :D The kiddos left school at 12:30 on Thursday and at 1pm Ashley and I were on the road to Calif. We spent the last 2 1/2 days there with my sis and my aunt & uncle. It was great to get away and just veg. We will be going back over there on July 1 to start our trip north. Hubby said he is counting the days. (I thought I was the only one doing that). He said it's all he talks about to other people. Yesterday, he said he went hiking for most of the day. I look forward to our trip up there.

This next week I will be teaching summer school; Mon - Thur only. I will also be doing a 2-day workshop on Special Ed. After this week, the vacation truly begins. :cb: :dancer:

Cal

Kempyd 06-14-2004 10:35 AM

Hey guys. I gues I forgot to log out of the site all weekend. I didn't get a chacne to even do anything on my puter besides work on the virus problem. I think I have it under contorl but I still get one error message. I am going to talk to some of the guys that workout here (they work for the local internet service). I wrote downt he error I am getting so they might be able to help me with it. I hate not being able to get on to read the posts.

I watched the Reagan thing on Friday. Joe had just come home so we each got to see it. It had boith of us crying at the end when the family got to be by the casket. I don't do well with death.

Cal that is so cool that you are going to Alaska. Take lots of pictures so I can see what it looks like. I have never been that far up north. The farthest I have been is Denver and that was in April so it was just dead looking to me.

Angie I am scared to dowload anything anymore. Now that we had such a bad virus our computer is on lock down. I told Joe not to even open email from home.

jbbm 06-14-2004 12:15 PM

Good Morning Girls

How is everyone doing today? It muggy here with chance of thunderstorms. Hey but atleast it is not snowing ! It my dd sweatheart b-day today. We had combined parties last weekend. My kids are two years, two weeks, and two hours apart exactly. So today we are going to let her pick
an activity to do. We have the cake baked, high fat ice cream, and low fat, may have a little of both. After all moms deserve cake on the childs birthday, look at all the pain and suffering we went through to bring them into this world. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat though. I am going to cry :( :), why do they get so big so fast? Okay enough about me. Whats going on this week for you all?

Noelle aren't those trains so cute. Even when he is not interested in them anymore. We have the National Railroad museum here so it was full of train history. I wish I would have gotten to read the exhibits more but we basically were running through the whole thing.

Hi everyone....hope everyone has a great day and I wish the weather be great by you! Julie :)

angieME 06-14-2004 04:10 PM

Hi. No time to post because I have to go buy Corey a scooter but I promise I will check back in later and post a reply and some pics from my neices birthday party.

Noelle, She loved the kitties. Thank you so much.

Julie, We are gonna get your weather tomorrow. YEAH!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! to your daughter. I hate to say this but with the way my kids have been acting, They cant grow up soon enough for me. haha (Just kidding, sorta)

Did I mention that now that Coreys pinkeye is gone that Brit has it. We are heading into week number 3 with that crap. I can only bleach so much stuff before we have no color left. haha

angieME 06-15-2004 08:16 AM

Good Morning!!

2 Attachment(s)
We went and bought Corey his scooter. We had it all set up and charging and Jay touched the power pedal and it took off in the house and crashed into the gate. He wasnt expecting it to keep going.

I am going to post some pics of me and my sister and Clyde(my moms best friend) and one of Wendy,Dad,Mom,and Me. We finally got Dad to take a pic. The only picture we have of all 4 of us is when me and Wendy were about 4. I am getting prints made of these and bought some really nice frames for Mom and Dad for their birthdays. I am doing the same with the one of Clyde and us because she is likle a second Mom to us but I havent hung out with her forever. Well when we went to her house I was so surprised to see that she had pics of me and Wendy hung up all over her house(including one we did when we were little) She loves that pic so I thought she would like a new one.

Ps: You can see how fat my face has gotten just imagine what my *** looks like.

Kempyd 06-15-2004 09:44 AM

Angie that is so funny about the scooter. Things like that always happen to me. I think you look great in your picture. You always take good pictures though.

Julie how was the cake? :hb: I am having to live through you right now so please tell me it was good. :^:

Well, I don't know what to do about my 3 lbs for my b-day. I am still right were I was a month ago. I don't know what to do beside not eat but I know that isn't healthy. It is just so discouraging when I get on the scale after being so good only to see the same number looking back at me. I don't want to give up b/c I want to have accomplished something by my b-day but this is just driving me up the wall.

I hope you guys check in today. I can't get on my puter at home still so I can only read your posts while I am here at work.

angieME 06-15-2004 10:44 AM

oh geesh Kempy, You should have seen it. I was filling up a glass of water and I turn around just in time to see the scooter lurch out of Jay's hands and up the wall before the wheel turned and it ran into the gate to the utility room. I said Honey you do know that is a gate and not a bike rack dont you? haha I almost peed myself laughing but I am glad that it didnt break the wall or anything. Jay has been riding it around the house this morning. Now he wants one.

We just took the dogs for a 2 1/2 mile walk. First one in a long time and we pick a bad day to do it because it is so muggy that you can barely see anything but it still felt good to move. I did it because I intended to try to eat healthy today and first thing I ate 2 pieces of Peanut butter fudge for breakfast and felt bad afterwards. I am going to try to do it still. I think I am going to cave and buy the Dr. Phil book just so that I can spend the first few weeks reading about dieting so maybe it will make me more conscious of my eating. I read a magazine about people who have reached their goals the very first time I lost weight and it really helped. I hate being fat but I guess I hate being disciplined even more.

Kempy, I know you want to lose 3 pounds before our birthday but you know I think you have been doing a great job as it is. You have been very steady with your weight all of this time and I hope to be more like you in the long run. Plus you are beautiful!! That being said I know how discouraged you must be feeling but just think it is probably just a little plateau and one of these weeks it will start to move again.( I know that is of little consolation when it is happening though)

I bought a 5 foot banner for my front lawn for my mom. It says look who is over the hill and it has a vulture on it. haha I got her a cake with a vulture in the tree and at the bottom it says I CAN WAIT. I bought her some gag gifts too. Clyde is sending her poems every week about how old she is getting and saggy boobs. Mom really doesnt know what is coming so she is worried about strippers and stuff.

I gots ta take a shower but I will check back later.

jbbm 06-15-2004 11:50 AM

Good Morning Girls

Oh Yes Kempy, boy did I eat cake yesterday. And ice cream. A piece at lunch w/ice cream and a huge piece and after dinner with even more ice cream :(. But I told hus this is it, I am not going to eat anymore cake or sweets or atleast try until someone else has a birthday. Which is August. Then mine is in Sept, and mil, and mom is in Oct. So it looks like once a month I will be having cake. Hopefully it is around TOM time. But this morning I started out pretty good. I ate a huge bowl of oatmeal flaked cereal. Lots of fiber! But lots of carbs. I am so sick of looking at carb amounts I could puke! I just want to control what I eat and not go on a binge. Do you average three meals a day Kempy? Or do you eat five to six small meals throughout the day?

Angie love the pics. You look really pretty, you have a great smile and look like alot of fun. I agree you are photogenic. (sp?) When we took the kids to the train event last week my eyes were closed in some pics, or I was just making really stupid faces. I was like to my hus, tell me when you are going to take a pic so I can atleast try to pose ! Not that would help me at all. LOL!!

Hi everyone I will try and check in later. I would like to lay out in the sun again and try to keep this tan up. I got alot done this weekend, cleaned, painted spots in the wall the kids have knicked up, yard work, I still have to scrub a couple of toliets but I will get to that later. Btw, the mosquitos are terrible here. They don't bug my dd or hus but my son and I have like allergic reactions to them. They are such a pain in the butt! I wish they would go away, but we have gotten so much rain they are here to stay. Whats for supper tonight girls?....Julie

Sorry about the double post, I tried for the first time to put a quote in and I screwed it up!

Hi girls, going ... we're preparing for a Home & Garden show this weekend, setting up a booth showcasing bathtubs, and shower stalls in cultured-marble, etc...--it's freakin' nuts around here. On top of that the guy we hired moves like a sloth! Not a turtle, a sloth. Don't know how long he'll last at that pace. Anyway, breezed thru here for a breather.

Angie, you're very welcome! You look great--you and your sis are very photogenic :). Don't put yourself down, we have to love ourselves thru thick and thin remember? Loved the lei too . That's the type I gave Michael for graduation.

Julie, hugs girl, we all can do with a little cake and ice cream now and then, esp.for special occasions... Darn it!I'm having problems w/my space bar--what next?!?

:grouphug: Hugs to everyone who needs them, gotta run. love ya!

Morning girls!! It is hot hot hot today. We just took the dogs on a 2 1/2 mile walk and now I am so hot I can barely stand it. The poor dogs had to crawl into the ditch with the tadpoles and frogs halfway through it. Rebel actually lays down on one side and then gets up and does it to the other side. He is a little freak.

I rode Coreys scooter last night. That is so much fun. It says it holds 250 pounds but I bet I could break it riding up a hill with it. It quit on him last night so Jay fidgeted with it last night and fixed it. (hopefully) If not I saved the box and I dont havbe any problem throwing it back at the store for a new one.

I didnt do too well dietwise last night but at least I got in a walk so that is one babystep accomplished. Hopefully at least the scales will stop climbing so fast until I can get my bearings.

Noelle, Has Rick redone all the bathrooms in your house all pretty? I love the fancy bathrooms. We had the whirlpool tub cornered in our bathroom with mirrors all around it. I love it but I dont use it too often and it kinda sucks to be able to see exactly how bad you look sitting down.(the toilet is right beside the tub  ) I should not have that many rolls. haha But the bathroom looks nice. I have a wine glass and candles and potpourri bowl around it.

Well, I have to email my uncle really quick so I will check back later.

Kempyd 06-16-2004 11:10 AM

 seeing yourself pee. Angie I have been places where they have mirrors right next to the toilet and I hate it. I should be in there not thinking about my fat but when it is staring you in the face you have to look.

Noelle is your hubby one of those guys that once he gets hom ehe will not work on his own home b/c he has been dealing with people in theirs all day? My dad did plumbing and we had once bathroolm that halfway worked. We had a beautiful pedistal sink that he never hooked up and a whirlpool that wouldn't work either. I never understood that.

I had a DU meeting last night. The first of many to come. Do you guys remeber last year what I went through. I did get some good ideas though. It was the zone meeting so there was another committe there so I got to pick their brains for ideas. I don't know if I am really ready to be dealing with this right now. Our banquet will be here b4 I know it.

I had a .5lbs drop this morning. I am not certain if it was just water but hey, it was something. Unlike you Angie I didn't get to work out. I am jealous that you got to wlak the dogs. I know that mine relaly need to get out. It is REALLY hot here today too. It felt like a suana this moring. So I was sweating right after my shower and as I was throwing some things for the dogs to fetch I was running from the deer flies that thought I would taste good. They get really bad down her in the summer. They are pretty scary looking too. The dogs are always trying to outrun them too.

Good Morning Girls

I am still thinking about what to have for breakfast....its 10:00! Yikes....girls I am just so confused on the carb thing. Kempy you seemed well trained in nutrition maybe you can help me out. I wanted to know if you eat three square meals a day or six small meals? Post when you get a minute okay? Offically I have not been on the scale in over a month. But thats okay. I am not going to live for a number, I just want to feel less bloated. BLOATATION!!
Its not even TOM time. Whats up with that????

Angie great job on the walk. I hate that hot and sweaty feeling too. I always take a cold shower after those hot walks. About the bathrooms when we were building our house I wanted so bad a deep spa tub, but grump hus says way over budget!! I think he probally regrets it now because I would have sat in there for hours and been out of his face ! It sounds really pretty the way you have yours decorated. I always see how they have the fancy tubs decorated on House Hunters, our show. Hehehehe....

Noelle good luck on getting all that work done for the show. We have a home and garden show here once a year also. Rick sounds like a real handy-man. I am so glad my hus is pretty handy. He has fixed and built alot of things around the house. Well don't you go pulling your beautiful hair out today!! Hope all is well and the new guy starts moving like a darn rabbit :drill:!

Well getting really hungry now, had to stop in the middle of this post to change a diaper, find something that had to be found right away so now I actually here my stomach making noises! Check back later....Julie

jbbm 06-16-2004 11:24 AM

Hi Kempy you and I were posting at the same time. I sure do remember all the hard work you put into the DU meetings. That makes me start thinking if hus is going to go duck hunting this fall? Congrats on the loss :bravo: ! Be back later....Julie

jbbm 06-16-2004 11:28 AM

One more post I promise, Angie I think we should all try and get on here more. I noticed we all tend to keep each other in-line more. I know we are all super busy with our lives right now, but we have to put our HEALTH first. So come on girls lets get this party started :lucky: :hyper: :D :)!

angieME 06-16-2004 02:34 PM

I am on a pee break!!! haha I had to make 6 sheetpans of Pumpkin rolls today. I hate to make those and now I have to frost them and roll them up.

Kempy, That is so funny that your dad never finished your bathrooms. He must have been sick of doing it by the time he got done working for the day huh? Yep, I remember last year and all the work you put into your DU banquet. YEAH!!!! :cheer: 1/2 pound drop is pretty good when you are 3 pounds away. You are doing great.

Julie, oh my god, I love to watch all the home decorating shows. I get so many ideas from those shows. Now for the kids to grow up so I can do some of them. It is so hard to do anything really fancy with 3 kids running through the house and fingerprinting everything up. That is why I can make my bathroom look cute because they arent allowed in it. haha I do need to pain it though. I have decorated the whole house except for my bedroom and bathroom.

Okay, I have to get back to work before Jays flips. Talk to ya later.

GEMonster 06-16-2004 03:05 PM

Hey Ladies

I hope all are well! I know you all sound busy. This past weekend I had presentations to give to community leaders at that went well. This weekend I have a wedding and my husband is going out of town with Friends for some camping. I am actually a little excited to do what I want around the house, and not have to watch the Red Sox!

Angie gotta say that you have a great smile! I loved those pics of you! :cp: Keep up the good work with the walking - change small things at a time so you don't feel overwhelmed.

Kempy :bravo: on down half a pound. That is good and you have been losing consistently..so it all adds up! Good luck with all the banquet preparations. My best friend lives in New Orleans and is trying to get me to come down in August...how muggy is it then?

Noelle I completely understand  Good Luck with the showcase - I hope it goes well this weekend. As for the cooking classes they start in September - I postponed due to too many commitments on days the classes are held over the summertime...but I promise stories of the klutzy chef will start in the fall! :lol3:

Julie it sounds like you are well. It must be nice to have a handy husband..mine is not and neither is my dad. I am often the one with the tool belt but I threaten to take him to Home Depot workshops when we argue ;)

Well all - must run- business is a callin'

be well.

:lol3: Summer :lol3:

Kempyd 06-16-2004 04:57 PM

Julie I am sorry that I didn't comment earlier but I eat at least 5 times in a day. That keeps your metabolism up. Plus I don't get so hungry late at night.

Summer it is pretty dog gone hot in Aug. I think that might be one of our hottest months. I think we can stand it better though b/c we have been in it for awhile. Don't let that stop you from coming. You will have a great time no matter what. Plus, I could drive down there so that I could meet you. I live about 45 min. north of NO.That would be fun.

Angie you have inspried me to walk the dogs when I get home. Even though it is 88 w/ 65% humidity I think I need to get out there and walk my butt around the neighborhood.

I got to run, my shift is up. I will try to pop on tonight.

jbbm 06-16-2004 07:58 PM

Thanks Kempy for replying hon! My metabolism needs help I think. I am stuck.

Summer have fun having the house to yourself this weekend. I can't imagine what silence would sound like! And have a great time at the wedding. I love weddings.

Angie did you get another walk in? I did not yet. Though I did some cardio today. Are you going to watch the Simple Life tonight? I am, it starts in a couple of minutes. I think hus likes to watch it with me because of the eye candy  hahahaha!! I can't believe how short their skirts are. They might as well just wear underwear.

Noelle are you hanging in there? How is little Mikey doing? I wish we could get our two little guys together to play. We would have a blast talking and they would do their little boy thing.

Well I am going to turn off my music now and go watch the Simple Life. We had chili and pasta, homemade cornbread and I ate enough for four people! Oh well tomorrow is another day. I just love this song right now I have playing- Marc Anothny- You Sang to Me!!!! Its so romantic....to bad hus is not that romantic. Just keep listening to my music ! Julie

jbbm 06-16-2004 08:58 PM

Just checking in to see if anyone posted....guess not :( ;) :)GOOD NIGHT!!!!

angieME 06-17-2004 09:45 AM

Good Morning. If I screw up alot it is because the kitten is rubbing all over me and hitting keys.

I tried to do a full walk this morning but I did half and will do half later when the sun leaves. It doesnt matter really because I am still eating TONS of junk but at least it may help a little bit.

Julie, I did watch the simple life. Those girls are so rude and spoiled that it is amazing to watch.

angieME 06-17-2004 09:49 AM

OH YEAH I FORGOT!!!! YES I AM YELLING   MY kids are out of school for the whole summer. :yikes: :yikes:

melekalikimaka 06-17-2004 03:25 PM

 The Simple Life... I have never watched that show before, but I did catch a small part of the show last night--it was the part when they got that poor stupid man to put his chaps on, nekkid . I stopped watching after that, except for the commercial where Nicole tells the guy something to the effect of, "if you call me stupid one more time I'm gonna hit you in the :censored: mouth..."

Julie, I am mucho busy and crazy right now. The show opens tonight and we're just putting the finishing touches on everything. On top of that we canned the new hire for reasons that are just too numerous too mention (who the *beep* hires these idiots anyway? ) . I would love to just hang out with you and chat and I'm sure our boys would love to play. Who knows, one day maybe all of us will meet.

Angie :bravo: on the walking! :cp: It's hot here too and the sun isn't going down until after 7 pm. I haven't been out for ages and it shows :( Oh man, what do you and the kids have planned for the summer? Don't go too crazy with them around.

Summer, I was in NOLA in the middle of July, pregnant (but didn't know it yet) and it was in the high 90's w/humidity about the same...so it was very uncomfortable BUT! it's such a wonderful colorful historic city that I loved every minute of it.

Kempy, Rick is the type just like your dad--the toilet tank in our upstairs bathroom is leaning against the wall (it's a miracle it hasn't leaked yet) and it took me a good 2 years of constant pestering for him to renovate the downstairs bathroom--that was his promise to me when we moved back into my parents' house. I guess he didn't specify when he would do it  I love him just the same.

Cal, you must be enjoying your freedom :cb: or is today a workshop day? Anyway, hang on til next week then the fun really begins. I bet Ashley will remember the time spent w/mom on the road to see dad. Have a great rest of the week.

Well ladies, I gotta go take care of business. I'll check back with ya chickies laster.

melekalikimaka 06-17-2004 03:28 PM

Angie, almost forgot to comment...I just looked at your pics again and I was "wowed" at how young your parents look, they look great! that isn't something you usually hear from your friends is it? My parents look like they could be your parents parents
