Default Notes for the Afternoon

Well, not too much new tp report. Am trying to squeeze in a little scrapbooking while DS naps . . .

Geri - glad you liked your Mother's Day gift.

Crystal - good analogy!

Michelle - I know what having a clingy one is like Hope you get a little break at some point.

Ricci - sounds like you managed to have a nice Mother's Day despite the blood tests

Lisa - your plan sounds like a good one to me!

Thanks for the story, Ginny. It's a good one.

Spryng - I'm so happy that you had such an awesome weekend! That's wonderful

Julie - glad you had a good weekend too.

You know, I was doing fine until I started reading how sweet everyone's dh was for Mother's Day. Was there anyone that didn't have anything special done for them? I really need to know if I'm the only one, then I'll find myself sad. No but really I do want to know if I'm the only one. I got a "Happy Mother's Day" after making a few rude comments and such. Nothing sincere. And I didn't want ANYTHING materialsitically, I just wanted to be treated differently for one day. I wanted sincerity and acknowledgement for what I do. I got it after I asked for it and he actually had the nerve to say that he tells me all the time that I do a good job being a mama and so on. I don't know what dream he woke up in, he NEVER tells me anything of the such, obviously, not even the one day he was suppose to.

Anyway, I'll check in later.

I was sitting here enjoying my dinner wandering what everyone else was having??? I myself, am having lime sauced chicken, homemade mashed potatoes and a salad. This puts me at 1200 calories for the day including a twinkie and a chocolate chop cookie from the bakery at Walmart. I'll have some to spare for a late night snack. I still plan on going walking after dh gets home and eats, he's not home yet. We're fixing to go out and enjoy some fresh air. Hope everyone else is enjoying dinner.

Hey, Crystal, my dh feels the same way about valentines day. While eveyone I know is getting something, wether its candy, or a card, or anything else, I get nothing. Not even a happy valentines day. I know that you don't need a holiday to tell someone you love them, but I feel left out. Maybe that will make you feel better.

Good evening all!

Crystal, I'm so sorry you had a bad mothers day. But at least he didn't forget your b-day right??? Could always be worse I think. But again it all comes down to communication and compromise and to choose your battles. You know? Your dinner sounded really good. I ended up scouring my cabinets (I didn't go shopping on thursday when I should have) and settles on a box oven lasagna (it was actually really good!) made with boca crumbles and baked sweet potatoes on the side and garlic toast. It all hit the spot. Then after dinner I went to the grocery store and bought some stuff for the rest of this week. So I am prepared now, lol. I hope you are able to get your walk in . I think I will start my pilates again tonight.
Leigh, I taped that Oprah today, haven't seen it yet because of dinner and grocery shopping but I will see it after The Swan tonight. Anyone else going to watch the swan?
Penny congrats on your little graduate!!!! How sweet.
Julie your mothers day sounded wonderful! And about my weekend, there isn't much detail to give (other than stuff that would bore you all, lol) DH got in friday and I met him in Olathe (it's about 1 hr 20 min from here, where his company is.) then we went out to eat at Outback. It was really good. I love that they have sirloin in the kids menu because my kids LOVE steak. Then we got in late as usual when he is home. Got the kids wound down and in bed, we ened up staying up until 2:30 am!!! Had to catch up on alot of pillow talk and such, lol. Then got up early on saturday and went to the KC Zoo. It was so much fun. It's a pretty good sized zoo. I'll share some pics once I upload them tonight. We walked for 5 hrs solid only stopping for lunch. The kids did so great and loved all the animals. Then we drove home, got in late once again so hurried the kids to bed and then crashed! I ended up getting sick that night so I spent alot of it the bathroom but DH slept like a baby. He was so tired. But he let me sleep in sunday morning until 10 am!!! That was heaven. Then we slowly got around, grabbed some lunch then headed out to his parents house for the afternoon. We had a great time. Everyone was in great moods and we had alot of laughs. Then we headed over to his cousins house (the one I tan with) and visited them which was also fun. Then we got home about 9 pm. Got the kids cleaned up and in bed and then the weekend was over before I knew it. But it was very enjoyable. Dh is so impressed with my weightloss that he can't stop gawking when he is home. LOL. I guess I shouldn't complain but after the 20th "you look so hot or amazing!" it loses it's appeal, lol. But he does make me feel beautiful and that is what counts. But that was my weekend. Sorry you asked?lol. But he'll be back in on the 21st. And I can't wait.

Well, guess I better get off here and get ready for the Swan. they are doing back to back episodes tonight. TTYL!

Well I want to go take a quick shower before the swan starts so I guess I will talk to you all later.

Hello all,

Penny... It's dark out now so I can't take any pictures if you want to see anything! It rained most of the afternoon anyway. Happy graduation to Hunter!

Michelle, congrats on the walking. Isn't Leslie great?? Which tapes do you have again?

Spryng, glad you got to see Dh this weekend, but I miss you when you're gone! Good to have you back...sounds like you had a great time.

Ginny...thanks! That was so special.

Crystal..you don't want to hear my comments about the lack of comments you got from Dh Did you get out to enjoy the fresh air tonight??

Ricci...how much longer do you have to do the study again? A bike! How cool. I haven't been on a ride in a couple of weeks. It's starting to warm up around here finally so hopefully my gf and I will get back to our 20 mile rides on Sundays.

Leigh, I watched Oprah today...I love Wynonna. You just can't understand how someone that talented can be so unhappy with themselves...sounds like she and Mom really have some head-butting communication issues. I really hope she does well.

Julie nice to hear from you again!! Stay with us.

OK....my WI....for 2 weeks........

DOWN 4.5 LBS!

I got a charm for hitting 25 lbs today at TOPS . Only 13.5 lbs to onederland!! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ok, so I'm excited

Well, have some work to do on the computer while my haircolor processes. I'll talk to you all tomorrow sometime. Thanks for all of your help ladies!!

Well girls, I walked about 30 minutes or so. I'm bringing in under 1500 calories with several little snacks and such. I feel great.

Spryng, my dh can't forget my b-day, it's 1 week before his. But he feels the same about birthdays as he does Mother's Day and Valentines and Anniversaries. It's just another day, nothing special to him. Some of your dinner sounded good, I don't like sweet potatoes but everything else sounded good.

Michelle, glad you're doing well and hope the Swan is good for you.

Ricci, it does help to know that my dh isn't the only one. Does your dh feel that way about any other occasions?

You all should be glad I just chatted with my sister online and got alot off my chest. Nothing bad, just blab, blab, blab about dh. My fingers are tired and I want a snack before bedtime.

I hope you all have a great evening. I'll check in in the AM.

Geri - Way to go on the 4.5 lb loss!!!! You are getting there girl!! I have the 1, 2, and 3 mile dvd's I did the 3 mile walk last night but man is that one difficult for me at this time lol I just did the walk didn't even get the stretchie out til I can build up more endurance. I can do the 2 mile without too much difficulty though and I really like it too. I'm trying to get at least one walk in a day maybe 2 if I'm lucky, one in the morning one in the evening mind you I can't do this every day though.

Well I'm gonna finish watching the swan I'll talk to everyone in a little bit.

Good evening all!

Geri CONGRATS!!!!! on the 4.5 lbs gone! That is so fantastic!!!! And you have every right to be excited! You are doing soooo great! Such an inspiration to the rest of us! And it was so sweet of you to miss me this past weekend! That made me feel so good, thanks for that. So what did you think about survivor last night?
Crystal, great job on your cals today and getting that walk in. Glad you were able to chat with you sister tonight and get things off your chest. How does her marriage work with so many kids?? It would take one tight bond to survive that, lol. I know just having 3 kids has changed the dynamics of my marriage so much, I couldn't imagine what 3-4 more would do to me or my marriage. She sounds like a great lady. Is she older than you?
Michelle what did you think of the swan tonight? I thought in both episodes they did too much to the girls faces. Not both women in both episodes, but one woman in each episode looked so fake because of all the face surgery. But maybe that was just me. Next week looks good though and I'm looking forward to see which wild card gets picked!

Well ladies I did it. I got in my pilates tonight!!! And I feels so good about it. I really didn't want to exercise since it's been so long but I know that if I don't dive back into it I'll never do it. So after the kids went down and I did my evening routine I popped in my dvd and got it over with. I feel great right now for it!
Guess I need to get off here and call it a night. I'm uploading my pics from the zoo right now so I'll post a couple tomorrow. You all have to see the hippos. A zookeeper came over to feed them a snack while we were walking by and those things were like puppy dogs! They came running out of that water and had their mouths open begging for their treats. They were given an apple apiece and a sandwich! It was so cool. The kids loved that and I got a couple good shots of them so I'll share that tomorrow. Going to call it a night. TTYL!!!

Spryng - I agree with you on the too much surgery on them, and on the second episode I don't think the one that came out looking like barbie should have gone through she didn't work nearly as hard as the other one and she seemed really ungrateful for everything that they did for her. But she did look great in the end.

Well I did another 2 miles tonight so that was 4 for today, I dunno why but sometimes I'm really compelled to put in more than one work out a day and I feel good so I don't think its hurting anything, well of course its not lol!!

Well Girls I hope you all had a wonderful night and I will talk to you all tomorrow, I need to hit the sack.
Sweet Dreams

Thumbs up Good Tuesday Morning

Good Morning girls. I didn't sleep too hot last night, sure hope all of you did.

Michelle, wtg on the double exercise yesterday.

Geri, YEAH. WOOHOO. We are all soooo proud of you.

Penny, hi there, hope you had a good day and night.

Spryng, my sister will be 31 this year, right about the time she'll have #8. Her dh used to be VERY INMATURE and never home and so on. That came to a hault about 5 kids ago. Now he works out of town, but it's a dream job. He may work out of town for 1 day or 1 week, but then he could turn around and spend 1 month home w/o having to go out of town. So actually it works WELL. He has really, really changed. When we got back from the bookfair, he had stayed home with all 7 of their kids and the house was cleaned; dusted and vacuumed, dinner cooked and new chicken coop had been built to get the chickens OFF her porch. 10 years ago, that would have only been a dream. So he has changed so much, he'll be 33 this year so I guess it's age. All I know is that everyone told me with age they get better, no one said they get worse BEFORE they get better. My dh used to bring me flowers for no reason or a card on a special occasion and such and now NO WAY!!! I'm keeping fingers crossed that he GROWS UP.

See I was telling my sister that I think I'm changing and becoming more mature and leaving him in my dust, which means I can't really complain because he can't help that. Anyway, I won't get started.

Well, I'm staying home today and continuing with the kitchen, I think I may clean the oven out, yuck. Still have alittle laundry and school and I want a nap today. I hope all of you have a great day. I'll check in later.

Crystal,

I am sorry you are having such a ruff time with dh. I know my dad has gotten 10000% better since we have moved out the house. My mom said he has changed so much as he has gotten older.

Hunter is now out of school I am happy to have him home! He is growing up way to fast I heard someone mention supper yesterday. We had crawfish stuffed chicken breast and brown rice. It was great Anyhow...

Hope everyone has a great day!

Gotta run to Walmart so I will check back in later
