  • Didn't make my 1500 challenge, but*the week's average is sliding down. Maybe tomorrow. Been experimenting with having the caloric day turn over at approximately 11 p.m. to midnight instead of after midnight. So those late calories go onto the next day. Since I work erratic hours, this is helpful as I do need to eat later at night than most people and if I don't have calories left, I just binge. It's the total weekly calories that really count and I'm trying to keep those down. Seems to be helping but it's just an experiment:

    EAS van CC shake 100

Whole wheat Eng muff w/btr spray count for day 150
    EAS van CC shake 100

    EAS van CC shake 100
    Myoplex Lite bar 190

    1/2 svg cold apricot-curry chicken 50

2 Zen bakery whole grain cranberry raisin cookies 400

    Dilled salmon 120
    Corn 70

Fruit smoothie (frozen mixed berries, water, Splenda) 60

2 cups complete nutrition soy beverage 260
1/4 c sf syrup (mixed with the soy drink) 35

    Total 1635

Exercise: Walk 60 min. at home, 40 min. weights in gym, lower body only ... very comprehensive and somewhat heavier since not trying to do the whole body at once anymore ... that's just exhausting.

  • Quote: Welcome back, Skyfirefly!!! I sent you a pm awhile back and was hoping to see you again!!!!

I don't do Atkins so don't know about Crystal Lite ... it doesn't have sugar but sometimes artificial sweeteners act like sugar in the body. Maybe some of our South Beachers or Atkins members know?

Hi to all returning s!!!! Portion control, yea, Sword Bearer, and in addition CALORIE CONTROL be my watchword today! • Sis, boom, bah!! Let's be careful out there today, Journal Challengers, it's a Bad Food Jungle!!!!

Eydie, thanks for taking me up on the 1500s challenge (er, that's IN the 1500s, not AT 1500, right?!!!! )

Skyfirefly: You're doing great!!!! Glad you're with us!!! The grilled chicken bratwurst sounds delicious!!

Sword Bearer: Huzzah and congrats on the THREE POUNDS DOWN!!! I know you'll make your two-weeks-in-a-row goal because you're gonna STRIVE, STRIVE, STRIVE, STRIVE, STRIVE!!!!

    We can do this!
  • Ah, Empress, I think I got lost in the jungle today.

    1 mocha muffin
    6 oz sirloin tips w/onions & peppers
    6 onion rings
    3/4 cup bean/ham soup
serving spoon each of cole slaw, broccoli salad, three bean salad
2 strawberries, 2 or 3 chunks ea of honeydew and cantalope
1 glop ea of an orange flavored froth and a berry flavored froth
2 small squares of bread pudding
    1 H.C. ice cream bar
And I'm sure there will be a small snack yet tonight. So while not exactly a binge day, it's not a weight loss day either.

So I'll call it my "free" day and try to do better tomorrow. I was not "out of control" - believe me, if I were I'd still be typing the food list. Just should have been, say, a slimfast breakfast if I were going to a salad bar. The H. C. bar was my "dinner".
  • Looks like a delicious free day, Anagramatic! Seems pretty darn good from the perspective of one who ate into the 3000-cal range this week! Looks like you just grazed a bit at the salad bar but I'd bet the whole day doesn't add up to too many calories and you're satisfied and enjoyed it and thy metabolism's probably the better for it. Man, if I'd been at that salad bar, I wouldn't have done so well. I think thou deserveth a medal!

Eydie, I HAVE MET THE STRIVE FOR THE 1500s CHALLENGE!!! Yowza! I still have the last item on this list as a final meal, so should actually make it all the way. D'you want to play this game again, tomorrow? Winner of two days in a row in the 1500s wins, well, nothing, but it'd be fun!
