I'm here! I weighed myself this morning and I was in the 2teens, but it doesn't count till monday! What a motivator to stay on track!!
|
HI!!
Professional Organizing on Mon and Tues and Hairstyling Wed,Thurs, Fri. Busy, busy me. |
Hi Debbie, Holly and Anghi!
I'm not sure where everyone is. I have been posting on the Chicks Racing board but I check this one to. I'm doing ok in my new position. I don't love it but then I didn't think I would; for right now it's a decent paying job and I know that it's easier to get a job when you already have one. I have a couple of other leads that I've been called about and I hope they turn into offers. I'm glad to be back at work so I'm not tempted to binge when I am home by myself. I hope to see you all posting here and/or on the Chicks Racing board. I'll be watching for ya! |
I'm here too! just been busy with the kiddies!!!! Doing ok...but food could be better. I will do better!!!
|
I'm glad all the ladies are still here, I thought everyone moved to the new thread :(
I'm still struggling to get below 199. I discovered that I keep following a pattern that sabotages my weight loss attempts. My official weigh-in is on Sunday, but I sometimes weigh myself for progress on Thursdays or Fridays, when I notice a loss, for some reason I end up pigging out the next day and end up gaining whatever I lost that week :( I want to change that, I'm considering hiding my scales and just weigh-in once a month. ((hugs)) |
newbie shooting for 199
hey all. i am pattyann and hoping for 199 some time soon. last time i weighed, whcih was 2 days ago, i was at 216 after having lost 14 pounds on an lc plan for a month. i was feeling really yucky, though, and after researching a little and talking to my physiologist - i decided to try the fatsmash plan and am loving it. anyhow...good to be here. hope to post more soon and get a pic up!

The pancake supper was stellar. we cleared $500.00 for the Sunday School.I am glad it is over.
My Boss from the hair shop was in a 10 car pile up in bad weather on Thurs and has 2 broken finger, fractured collarbone and shin bone. I will be working Mon-Fri for the next 2 weeks alone. I am DOWN another 2 lbs to make 12 total. 7 lbs to go to get to my lowest weight since I started this. 35 to get to goal. |
Hey guys,
How is everyone? I went and signed up at the new fitness center that opened. It was where the old Curves was. It's very simular to Curves but the equipment is ajustable. I'm excited again :carrot: Has anyone heard for Annie? I checked and I don't see where she has posted on any threads. I hope she's ok. She gave me her phone # when I went on vacation last fall but I've misplaced the pad I wrote it on. Holly: WOO HOO You go girl...:cp: Jiggly: I do the same thing. I hate it when I do so good all day then blow the whole day in the evening. Everyone have a great w-end. Later my friends :grouphug: |
Hey friends.
A quick update, I spoke with Annie and she has had her surgery. She had a problem with dehydration but sounded like shes doing well now. Wishing her a speedy recovery :getwell: |
Hello Ladies.
Deb, thank you for the phone call. Happy day!! This has not been an easy road. Surgery was on the 12th, came home on th 14th, back to work on the 26th. My stomach was nauseas from day one and didn't let up. It lead me into dehydration and another 3 days in the hospital. I am going back to work tomorrow. Let me tell you, should anyone think or hears someone say this is the easy way out to lose weight, they are so darn wrong. I don't regret it, but sometimes wonder why I CHOSE to do this to myself. I am sure in another few months I won't feel this way, but right now....sheesh. Granted I have lost 40 pounds in 3 weeks, but it is not easy. The vitamins, protein shakes, and liquid I have to drink daily, is all I can think about. Thoroughly research ladies, if you chose this road. I did and still can't believe it. All and all is good now, and hope to continue this path. Holly, you sure are a hard worker, but seriously think if you could handle babysitting, you can do anything. :^) Susie, sorry to hear your job is not what you want. Hang in there. Hello to everyone. Will try to post more often. Hugs and Love Annie |
Hello Everyone - it's Girlie - I'm back!!!!!
And still working on things. I was doing my 3-mile Leslie Sansone workout this morning and thought about all of you. I'm happy to see that you are still posting away, that's amazing. A quick post before I head to work though: I was laid off of my job last year in August and I pretty much became miserable and sedentary. I started a new job a few months ago - a management position - gets stressful sometimes, but I've decided that exercise will help. I've gained weight since I was laid off so it's time to get back into it. Annie: did you have a lap band or gastric bypass? A friend of mine JUST did last week and she's feeling the same way you have. She had lapband - and we've decided to start working out together. Maybe I'll have her join this forum. See you ladies soon - I'm back! |
Annie: I debated a long time before I called. Finally the mom in me won out.;)
We been together on this thread for what 3 years?? It's natural to care about each other..My friend. I'm glad everything is ok now. We missed you. Girlie: WELCOME BACK!! I'm so glad to hear from you. I plan to go to exercise after work..for the first time in months Later, :grouphug: |
I just realized I've been a member here for ALMOST 7 years!
I want this to be the year...I want to be closer to ONEderland by the time my 7th anniversary here comes - August. |
HI Annie and Girlie!!! And Deb, of course.
I am still assimilating to my new life as a work away rom home mom.Love the jobs. Having trouble managing all the rest. I feel deeply tired. Also had a bout with a nasty cold. Been in the process of getting some counselling for DS. I also went to see someone myself for counselling yesterday. Stirred up all kinds of stuff. Feeling a bit sad and depressed today. Still keeping on. |
Holly,
I miss hearing from you. You are working away from home? No way! What are you up to? Don't worry - you are like, the most organized woman I know. You've always had crazy things going and and managed well - so I know you can do this. I hope that the counselling gets better. It's a good thing to "stir things up". --- I went to the gym tonight - and did the 3 mile walk video. I'm exhausted. Going to bed. Bet I'll be sore in the morning! Girlie |
Girlie- on Mon and Tues I work on call for a Profesional Organizer. Like the Clean Sweep show. And Wed-Fri I am hairdressing aftewr a ten year break. A funky shop in a small town 10 min from here. Still selling Avon too.
Hubby has been stepping up quite a bit. Surprising but welcome. I have been losing weight again steady since Dec. My marriage came as close to ending as possible and i made some HUGE changes for myself and the kids....we seem to be thru the eye of the needle. Many lingering feelings for me that I am working thru. Life is okay tho. |
Holly - glad you're hanging in there!
|
Hi Ya Ladies....
This week is much better. Feeling better, altho a bit constipated and working on getting that going. Kinda giving me a gut ache. Man do things change after this surgery. Still at 40 lbs down but think that is cause I cannot potty. Holly, you ROCK, I am so proud of you all the time. You are so organized and always busy. Girlie...so glad to see ya sista. Deb...what's going on with you? Susie...how's the job. Hang in there. Jiggly and UPS-stop in.... Take care all. Hugs Annie |
Oh Annie- I am not feeling like I rock. My little guy has some big issues, always has. Ditto for DH. It is soooooooooo hard sometimes.
The hair job was great today. Need to whip up supper so the boys can go to hockey. Avon order to add on to tonight. Dishes and Bills to do!! AND I dol to watch. It will be nice just us girls at home. |
Still here... and fighting everyday. not much time to stop in and read. Hope Everyone is doing good.
Getting the exercise in has been good...seeing a difference in inches... hoping to see a small difference in the scale on Monday! |
Hey friends,
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. This is our busy week. I'm very glad its over. I worked out 4x this week... It's been several months, but I feel better already. I like this new place. The owner is a WW leader. It's nice having her around more than once a week. Annie: Glad you are doing better. All changes take time but that is a big one so be kind to yourself. Holly:  Kiddo's will do great you'll see... DH ...WELL!! The jury still out on that one..LOL. I tell mine all the time I always love him but I don't always like him. Girlie: Sounds like your doing well. We can get to onderland. It just seems like life keeps getting in our way. Later, I need to bathe dog before it gets too late. |
I found a very interesting and somewhat inspring amount of information while searching to see what the Army thinks my weight should be....
It was the Army's Wright Loss Program (what they give overweight soldiers). The US Military is usually known for breaking down people so they can mold and shape people their way (sorry if this offends any military people), so I was really surprised to find inspiration in an Army document. It had information on what your current weight caloric needs are, what your ideal weight needs are, and how much you could lose based on how much you cut out. It had some inspiring phrases (to me) like "Excess body weight connotes a lack of personal disciplpine". That rang so true because I can run an ER and save lives in crutial moments, but I can't control what I shove in my mouth??? Ridiculous, and that's why I am changing. It also had suggestions on how to limit calories, what pitfalls are out there. And basically, at the end of the day, weight loss happens when you decrease your calories in, or increase calories burned, or both. I don't know the site, but if you google "army weight height" that's how I found it. I think it is worth viewing, if not printing. For anyone who needs some straight forward ideas... |
:welcome3: Super, We are glad you are here.
:cp: Congrats on being good for 2 days. This is like any other changes in life. Take them one day at a time. I know thats old but it is still true. I wake up every morning and start over fresh. Sometimes because I messed up yesterday..but a slip up is no reason to give up. |
Hey Friends,
Nearly op today, I was doing well til DS gave me his biscuit from the fast food chicken he brought home. NO WILL POWER!! But it was good. I did work out today. probably not near enough to cover even the biscuit. Well! heck! The scale will tell the story tomorrow night. :crossed: Everyone have a great day..:grouphug: |
Good Morning!!!
There is a weak sun shining thru the trees. I slept 9 hours. In counselling on Sunday I was told to take a day off. No computer ,no housework,no laundry, no cooking nothing but hanging out. Has any woman/wife/mom ever actually done this???? Right now I would love to go and lallygag in bed, watch some tv,read, doze, play with the kitties, take a bath.................. BUT I need to feed the kids, clean the kitchen, do laundry, pack Avon.............. I will give myself til 9:30 to start so I can veg a bit. And i will watch my soaps this aft. It’s been 6 weeks. No plans tonight either. I did for others ALL weekend long too. I was alone Sunday aft so thtt was nice and I did go for counselling which is good but I wouldn’t call it pleasant. She is tough on me. No wiggling around issues. Holda me accountable. Asks tough questions and keeps asking till I answer honestly. All in a very kind, professional way. My neck has been stiff for weeks. Now my chest muscles hurt from lifting yesterday. If i can peel the kids from the video game I will do my Yoga DVD. Last night...... Home from work. HUGE job but great people. I was VERY dirty. We spent 7.5 hours in a kitchen alone and took out about 20 boxes( 3X3X3 ft) of sellable stuff and 6 bags of garbage............hubby was home at 5:15. He heated up leftovers for himself and the kids. I got got home at 6:00. Hugged and kissed my boys lots and then they left for hockey in Thamesford. I warmed up different leftovers . Checked mail.... It’s freezing in here. It is raining and i am feeling the damp. Only 4 hours sleep last night doesn’t help either.( damn time change) I took a desperately need a bath to soothe my tired bones ,clean up and get warmed up. Will start the fire in a bit............ right now i am having a cafe mocha. I dont have to work tomorrow...... yippee!!!! So much to do here, of course, but I am happy to be home! At the very least tonight I will get a load of whites done and tidy the kitchen and run the DW.Tomorrow I will catch up on and complete ALL my Avon stuff. Work on the damn tax stuff. Got over to Grandma’s yesterday. Picked up 23 boxes of new flooring. 20 more to get. Kids had a good day with our neighbour/sitter here today. I left at 7:30 to get to work in time. Won a free coffee at Tim’s!! Spose the clothes wont put themselves in the washer. HUGS!!!! |
Hey everyone,
I though if I checked in maybe so would someone else. I made my goal for march, I've lost 4.8 so far. :cp: |
Happy Rainy Monday here..........
Congrats on your goal Deb...WTG Holly How you doing? Keeping everything together? Susie...Where are you, how are you? UPS..have you abandoned ship? Girlie, and eveyrone else?? Welcome superdoc!! I am doing pretty well, down 45 since surgery. 5 Weeks today. Had a few constipation battles, shu weeeeee. Everyone have a great day. Hugs Annie |
Annie: OMG!! How can you keep up with the size changes. That is fantastic
I am so proud and happy for you. :D It looks like the thread is dying out. I really hate that. It used to be so hopping we very seldom made it to the back page. Later, my friend  |
Hi All...
Deb-thank God for previous weightloss friends, they keep me in clothes. My bestest friend, Suzie, is 19 months out of surgery and has passed all her clothes down to me, so that is a great help, plus I have clothes from my previous sizes.... Today is a good day already took a 15 minute walk on morning break and will take another this afternoon. I really need to start exercising but don't get released till next week for that. Would like to do a little weights for the arms, and don't have the foggiest what to do about the apron belly. It's not bad, but noticeable. My tummy region is still a bit tender when I bend over anyway, may have to wait a few more weeks for that. Hey how is everyone else, and where the heck are you. Hugs Annie |
I finally got to move my tracker. I had refused to move it up when I gained. but this is the first time in months I've been able to move it down...
2.2 lbs :dancer: Annie: Thats great your out walking... don't overdo. You need time to heal. Theres plenty of time for toning exercises. I know you are just amazed everytime you look in the mirror. Holly, suzie, ellen: miss you guys :grouphug: Later my friends got to go to work |
Hey guys,
All is well here. I just got dh off to work and need to get doing the housework I've put off all day. I got the washer going...it's a start. I hate it when I buy something too high tech for me. The kids tried to get me to buy a digital camera that was just above a kids toy. I realize now I should have listened..LOL. The camera is simple but the program for the computer is very confusing. They said they would figure it out and show me how to use it. Don't you hate it when that happens. :?: Later my friends gotta clean :grouphug: |
Good Morning Ladies....
What a beautiful weekend. Sunny, warm and took Ms. Bella for a walk. She was pooped when we got back and collapsed on the floor. Her short little legs got tired. Too Cute. How is everyone doing? and where in the heck is everyone? I have lost a total of 49 lbs so far. Today is six weeks and I go for my check up tomorrow. I am feeling better and better each day with just a few bathroom probs, but those are getting less and less also. Have a marvelous day. Annie |
Hey Good Morning! and where is everyone?
Hope all is great with everyone! Have a marvy weekend. Annie |
Hi Annie and Debbie!!!
Being hanging around but not posting as much. I signed up with a personal trainer who does a program thru emial. I start the workout today. I need to email her my foodmand exercise every day. My 18 year old cat Clyde died yesterday. It was hard.In a sense it is a relief that he is gone because he was so ill. Waiting is hard. Hubby and the kids had a funeral last night. DD said Daddy cried. Good. He needs to face things and deal with them. He was really angry with me for not doing it all. I am glad now I stood my ground.Maybe some day he will skip that part where he is a total jerk first . Back in Dec he said he wanted to be the man and head of the household. That takes action. He needs to “be” it. I would be glad to give him that hat to wear. Someone has had to be the adult and parent around here. I am not working at payroll today!!! Very happy. I have a big trade show tomorrow from 10-4, setting up at 8am. Guest speaking at 11:40. I need to prep brochures, display and retail stuff. I wrote most of my presentation the other day. I do it off the cuff anyhow but I got my thoughts in order. I need to clean both bathrooms and work on taxes. Gym tonight but no hockey. 6 weeks til soccer starts. Nice break. I still want to clean up my computer; documents, email and pics. 1/2 hour til the kids get up. I am soooooooo happy that I dont HAVE to shower and do my hair and put on make up!!!!! Will try and actully write personals later. I wrote my goals out earlier this week. My Goals 1) keep the house clean and tidy all the time 2) have more fun with the kids ( this means getting behaviours under control so everything is not about policing them) 3) go away by myself 4) exercise every day 5)maintain my focus 6) spend 1 hour 1 evening a week with my husband 7)earn Presidents club again 8)spend 15 min a day in solitude 9)connect with 1 friend a week for fun 10)take kids to Toronto this summer 11) earn a minimum $300.00/week 12)clean up my documents; pics; email #9 means cyber friends too. I called a friend last night and we talked for a lonnnnng time. Felt good. There is no such thing as a day off in my life just days working without pay, LOL!! I am happy to be home tho. |
Hey friends,
I've ate too much all weekend. Dh and I stayed on the go so we ate every meal out. We spend most of sunday on the bike. It was so nice. Holly: I'm so sorry to hear about Clyde. Last year we lost our 14 yo cat. She left a very large hole in our hearts. Got to go lunch is over...:grouphug: |
HI Deb!
I'm sick. Both kids are sick and have been home. I napped all morning so far.Kids are playing quietly. Luke has been less intense than anticipated so that is great. I am going to make some avon calls. At 2pm I need to pick up a book and deliver some Avon. It is damp and drizzly. Thinkin’ I will start a fire. I pushed myself to go to School Council last night even tho I felt terrible. I was glad I went. We do 1 hour of a parent support group with a facilitator and then a 1.5 hour meeting. Some interesting projects were brought to the table. This is a diverse and deep thinking well spoken group. We had good discussion and debate around the issues. Set up some projects for the next 2 months.Had a nice visit with David afterwards.Nice to be with people who care about me, each other, our community.... My head hurt a lot tho and still does. I was grieving for Clyde Sunday and parts of yesterday but seem to be thru it now.It is odd not to have him here with me. |
Hi and Happy Easter Everyone.
Hugs Annie PS Holly, so sorry to hear about Clyde. I grieved over my doggies for about 6 months. Literally cried. Hearts to you. |
Happy Easter!!!
We have a few inches of new snow, on top of the snow from yesterday. We are supposed to go to the park for an egg hunt but may skip it. It is pretty fluffy snow but I dont want to drive for an hour in it. Puttering to do here for the morning. Need to make a veggie tray and prep everything for a ceasar salad. We had a lamb dinner at my folks yesterday. The battle axe brigade were very well behaved and it was enjoyable. They were getting into the wine but we left before any fireworks. Going up to hubby's bro's at 1pm today. We will have a ham and scallops dinner there. I am going to do a treasure hunt for some Easter presents for the kids here tonight for the morning. I picked them up each a CD, some jeans, runners.... I have slept til 8:30 the last 2 days. Usually i am up at 6:30. Feels good to let my body decide when to wake up. HUGS!! |
Hey friends,
We had SNOW today. Nothing stuck but big flakes have been falling most of the day. It was 89f just a couple of days ago... I have a restful Easter planned. Our neighbor smoked a brisket for us. So I just have to make a potato salad and fix a fresh veggie tray and some deviled eggs and a banana pudding...all WW friendly. Grandson has out grown the egg hunt thing...bummer. I missed the fun. May have a senior egg hunt...LOL Later |
HI Deb!!
We got 6 inches of snow today. Easter dinner #2 has been eaten. Much good chat.Nice to see hubby's family. My folks yesterday. Kids have had 2 egg hunts too. I picked them up craft stuff and cd's and shoes and will hide stuff and make a map. I want to do some tidying in the LR and then wrap the few gifts and make up the treasure hunt. Just got my SS lesson ready. HUGS!!! |
