I think she was either stupid or really greedy and arrogant to have done this, but she's not being convicted on the stock fraud --she's been convicted on lying about it and covering it up. But I also think she was picked on because of who she was -- DH gets all up in arms when I saw that. He says it had nothing to do with her, she would have been indicted no matter who she was. Ha. I think it's ridiculous to put someone in jail for this anyway; they should just be made to fork over mass quantities of personal $$ as restitution.
