Hi everybody. Sorry I have been flaking lately. You guys truly are the best friends I have ever had even though we have never technically met. Luv ya all!!!!
Anna, I think the internet is a bad diet tool too. I will sit here all day and all night just looking things up and by the time I remember hey I should have exercised it is already time for bed. Noelle, What did your hubby buy? I would have been nervous too. Kempy, Good for you for getting all of your equipment early. YEAH!!! I want to buy my showcase and trays and register and signs and stuff but I dont have any money. Jacks, Fleas? Poor bunny. Can he get the flea drops like a dog or cat? I like your fish tank. We just have a Beta and he looks so lonely but he will kill any other fish so I guess he likes it that way. I am glad you are feeling better now. Sorry I wasnt here to comfort you. Julie, Dont feel bad, I can eat Jay under the table too. HAHA That didnt come out right!!!   Holly, :cheer: YEAH For making it a full OP day. Those are hard to do and you should be proud of yourself. I am sorry your hubby hasnt warmed up in your marriage. I wished I had some advice for you. As for your house, You would think the 6inch walls would help a little wouldnt ya? I was surprised as to how they sold it to us saying how energy efficient they are and then it turned out differently. Last month during the cold snap we had I went through 100 gallons of oil in less than 3 weeks!!!! That was $184.00!!! It is definately frustrating because I know they dont build them half as good as they say they do. Our walls are like paper. Well, I will check back later. |
I am so pissed right now!!! I just found out that Orange City has an ordinance prohibitting more than 4 pets per household. Now what do I do? I could probably get my sis to take the kittens because they are little still but the other 4 cats I couldnt and wouldnt part with. 2 of them were stray until they were 4 months old and we are the only people who can touch them and they trust. They are now 5 and Fat Cow is 8 and the Meanie is 12. They have all been with me so long that it isnt fair to have to make a decision to dump my pets in order to move. Plus I DONT want to live here anymore.

Hello Everyone
Angie I know our town has ordinance of 4 pets also. I feel bad for you, they are like your children how can you part with them? I hope you figure something out. I was not going to weigh myself today, I had a bad feeling and I gained. Hopefully it was just water. I mean I ate my kids leftover ramen noodles and those things are full of salt and I put more salt on them, yikes! Not even pms time. I have been just craving salt latley. But so far today clean eating. Well I know everyone is busy, but I hope it is not crazy busy for you all :)! Check in later. Julie |
Thank GOD It's FRIDAY!!!!!
Hope everyone is having a good day so far. Mine, is the same ole same ole. Just trying to keep myself busy so the time passes by faster and I don't go crazy. My boss is making me crazy again. She makes herself go crazy and it rubs off on everyone around her. She complains and complains about how much work she has but she just keeps adding more stuff anyway - which then goes on to the rest of the staff. She seriously needs some training in management. Angie - Hope you're feeling better today. No worries about not being around to comfort me. As long as I have somewhere where I can rant and rave is perfect. Having you guys here makes it even better. Thanks for everything. So sorry to hear about that ordinance. I hope you can find some alternative to it. Maybe go and get some kind of consent to allow you to have more than 4 pets. If anybody could have more pets, it should be you. Julie - I'm sure that that's just blotation. I love ramen. We have all sorts of ramen houses here in hawaii. A lot different than the stuff that you make on your own. But yah the salt can really kill you. Holly - I can't imagine doing your job! Wow - props to you! As for me, I work in public policy for a non-profit organization. Our focus is trying to implement a coordinated early childhood system in Hawaii. My job is basically research, writing testimony, going to hearings, meeting with legislators, and other stuff. Right now I'm trying to find another job, possibly in Marketing. I'm going to grad school next year to get my MBA so I'm trying to move away from policy. Kempy - Yah, I felt a lot better after I left the other day and feeling much better today. Hope everything is going good at school. I wanted to ask what pills you were taking. I meeting with a dietitian next week and wanted to ask what would be good for me. Noelle - Did that tax guy come back and get you??? Hope you're okay! Hee hee! Alohas to everyone else I missed. Have a great rest of the day! :) Jacks |
Hey Everyone! I agree thank God it's Friday. I'm busy busy busy and trying to get my office organized. One of our sublessors moved out so I'm debating whether or not to move into the office next door--it's the same size, just away from the front of the warehouse and it's currently empty. I unplugged my computer yesterday and didn't have the time to hook everything back up until this morning. I'm so proud of myself that it's working again. Anywhoo, just heard on the radio that a tractor trailer rig flipped over on the freeway so hooray for gridlock, AGAIN. On top of that I think I heard there was another crazy person attempting to jump of another overpass. I hope it's not that same guy from a few weeks ago .
Well, that government agent guy was a Special Investigator, tracking some rifle scopes Rick bought last year. They just have to make sure that the item was not resold or if it was, it needs to be tracked so it doesn't end up in the wrong hands. The good(?) news is I now have the combination to the safe. The bad news is that I now have access to firearms--scary thought isn't it? Seriously though, I've never had any inclination to fire a gun. Rick used to go hunting a looooong time ago (before me) and since he was in the Guard for quite a few years I guess he just likes the idea of having weapons...go figure. I hope I never piss him off enough for him to have to use them :dizzy:. Julie, just get your water in for the next day or two and you should be fine. Isn't it terrible that we moms feel like we have to eat the l.o.'s or else we feel like we're wasting food? I gotta get away from that. My son love's ramen (or saimin as we call it here) too. I'm happy that we can get fresh noodles instead of always the dehydrated stuff though, it's a tad bit healthier on the sodium front. Angie, it's terrible for you to have to decide if you have to give up some of your pets like that. They are like your children. You may want to move to Hawaii--our law states that in a residential area, you can have up to 10 dogs, aged 4 months or older, 2 chickens per household in a residential area, but no law on "companion" animals like birds, cats, fish, etc....heck, you could probably have 30 cats (we did at one time :yikes: ). Do they make you register all pets when you move there? If not, maybe you could just sneak 'em in :s:. Hmmm, no comment on the "under the table" comment :o . Holly, have you and hubby ever had an alone-time vacation w/out the kids? Sometimes you need those getaways just to get that spark back. Men are such knuckle-heads sometimes, they don't know what they've got until it's gone! ((((Holly)))) We're here for ya. Kempy how are you feeling today? Get better soon, it's the weekend! Anna, have you never driven before? I didn't drive until I was 23 and after I was already married. I had a brand new car before I even had a license too, so that gave me the incentive to do it. Good luck with it--you'll have a great time once you get the hang of it. Jacks, your fish tank sounds really cute. I didn't realize clown fish were so small. All I have left is 2 cichlids and a few ugly blind albino catfish....not so peaceful to look at. Hello to Cal  Tonya  Donna  and everyone else. Have a safe weekend. |
Now I want to move to Hawaii just so I can have chickens!
Got dragged out of bed at o'dark'hundred (six thirty) by some kids bringing me yummy dumplings. Why is all Chinese food so good? *grin* Got a run scheduled for tonight, can't wait. I am really beginning to love running and I'm beginning to look forward to it. Start of week three. We'll see if I still love it *after* the run! |
Arg! I'm so frustrated with myself right now!
I just sat here for the past twenty minutes, chatting with a friend online, eating pieces of bread with jam on them. I don't even know how many pieces I ate, I barely tasted any of it, I was just doing it out of habit. ARG! ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG! How long does this go on before you stop doing things like this? |
Anna I have done the same thing before. I will just sit and mindlessly eat something. I will look in the bag and see that I have eaten the whole thing. I wonder if that will ever stop too.
I guess we were all pretty busy over the weekend. I had a test Saturday so I spent Friday night studying. Fun huh? I was outside all day yesterday raking the yard. My back is killing me but it was worth it. I kept telling Joe how much I love working out in the yard like that. I am waiting for our landscaper to give us a price on making new beds for us. I relly wish he would call us back. I am ready to get things going. I hope you guys check in today. I am starting to worry about everyone. |
Oh Jacks, I was on Phentermine and then the doc switched me to Tenuate. I am not really sure if I like either one of them. Some people do really well on either one of them but I think I might have a resistant strain of fat.

Aloha ladies!
I guess we did have a pretty busy weekend. I sat down at my computer ready to type, but had to leave so I couldn't get to it. We took Petey to the vet Saturday so he's feeling much better now...hopping all around. I'm afraid of all the flea eggs that might be on our carpet, but the doc said not to worry about it and to just vacuum everyday. I also got some snails to add to my aquarium! As far as dieting, I was able to manage another 2 pound loss. I was kinda scared b/c I didn't exercise yesturday and ate sushi for lunch, I thought it would all come back. Anna - I was exactly the same way about a month ago. What was even funnier was that I got on the scale afterward and I gained like 2 pounds just sitting there! I know that wasn't accurate, but it did give me a wake up call. Kempy - I have a rx for Phentermine. Works really well, I have to remind myself to eat or else I'll forget. I'm sure my strain of fat is a lot more resistant than yours! Hey Angie, Julie, Noelle, Cal, Holly! Where are ya? It's Monday - time to wake up!!!!! Hee hee... Check in with ya'll later, :) Jacks |
Hi everyone
I hope all of you had a nice weekend. Gosh it feels so good to sit down right now. I have been on my feet and moving non stop this morning with the kids. I got some excercise in also. For breakfast I had an apple and for lunch I had an egg. It is not that much so I am planning a healthy snack for later. My brother graduates with his masters in California in May and my mom wants me to come with her and my stepdad and half-brother. I don't know if I could leave the kids that long, (a week) but she said just fly home early. Plus I hate to fly. If it is not a big plane I get sick! Kempy I wish I could rake! I am sick of shoveling snow. I can't wait to see my pretty pink tulips come up and my lilac bush to bloom. Is your landscaper going to put bushes or flowers in? Noelle guns scare me. I have never actually shot one except a bee-bee gun. I love ramen noodles. But all we have here are the dehydrated ones in the plastic bags. There cheap and the kids like them. So thats a plus . Jacks how are you doing today. Crazy with work? Thinking about the wedding plans? My favorite part of my wedding plans were picking out the cake (because we got to test the flavors), and planning the honeymoon. Angie I hope you are feeling better. We miss you here. I hope you can get some time to come in and chat. Well I will check in later. Julie |
Hi Jacks we were posting at the same time. Congrats on the loss thats great! Julie

hi. We had a second town called Summerville in South Carolina that we liked so I got in touch with a lady from the town and talked to her about us moving there. There are no bakeries within a 100 mile radius that I can find so I would think it would be a good place. She is a manager for tourism and development for the town and she said from surveys that the town has done people would like a bakery in the area. We may pull a long *** drive and drive down and spend a night this weekend to look around real quick. The only thing that scares me is the city has 27000 people and I am from a town of 1500 :yikes:
Diet is still nonexistent and my body shows it. I look like a frumpy housewife /whale. |
Hello Ladies,
I'm sorry, but the past few days have been nightmares. Last week our team lost a teacher. He was placed on administrative leave, but we've been told he won't be back for the rest of the year. Now we're down to 3 teachers on our team and 119 students. The district says that no one wants to come sub at our school because of the discipline problem. (Yet they were the ones who took away all of our alternative programs). :dizzy:  We're going to do the best we can. (Only 4 more weeks until break). I will be out of state for a few days. My grandmother passed away yesterday. I've decided to take the full 5 days this week because of all the stress of the past few days and weeks. We leave tomorrow for Calif. I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Hang in there; we are the best. :grouphug: Cal |
Fat Tuesday and boy do I feel it!
Hi Ladies, sorry I've been scarce around here. Business is booming and I've not much time to play anymore :( but just thought I'd peek in and say .
Cal :grouphug: my condolences on your grandmother's passing. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Have a safe trip. Wow, that's a terrible ratio of kids to teachers! Hope you guys get some relief! Angie, I bet you're busy researching your new towns huh? That must be so exciting. Don't worry about the diet, sometimes motivation comes in waves eh? Your tide will be rolling in soon and I hope you can drag me along. I'm in the same boat--I feel frumpy frumpy frumpy. Hi Julie, I say take the trip if you can. It'll be a nice get away and I'm sure your brother will be happy to see you. Here's some sun for you :sunny: --we're expecting more rain by the end of the week so enjoy it while you can. Kempy how do you think you did on your test? I'm sure you did great. Only one more day in your work week, you lucky gal. So are you guys partying it up today in Louisiana? Any plans for tonight? Do tell, I want to live vicariously through you  Anna, I think this battle for weight control and mindless eating will always be a lifetime thing for me. Right now it has free reign and I'm doing terribly. I feel like I have to be ever-vigilant about it and frankly, it gets old real fast. Just jump back on track and don't look back, at least that's what I tell myself anyway :?:. Jacks, congrats on your loss girlfriend. I need some of your motivation to rub off on me real quick. I'm so glad some of us here are doing good--imagine if we were all down in the dumps! Good grief! You go girl. Hello to everyone else...Holly and any other lurkers out there. Hang in there everyone! |
