I didn't do much in the way of exercize today, but I have been good about going to the gym at least 3 times/week for the last month. I'll be going again tomorrow.
I also bought a pedometer so I can track my miles and have been shooting for 2-3 miles per day.

Here's the thing. By and large Im sloth woman. So I'm thinking
if there's a shot in **** of exercising, with any kind of
regularity, it's also going to need a fun factor disguising the
fact Im exercising.

When youngest child fled the nest he was kind enough to leave
many things behind. Actually they never really leave now that I
think about it. We simply turn into a storage unit the better
for the memories to live on and require much dusting.

But I digress. One of the many things he left behind was his
Xbox. Which has a game available called DDR Ultramix or Remix
or UltraRemix. Something.

Ballpark 65 bucks with the dance mat included. Which Im sure is
a suky dance mat, but Im a suky dancer so it should be a
marriage made in dance heaven.

Knowledge, thoughts, ponderances of??

I'm not familar with that particular game, but I bet moving to any music would be great exercize and the mat will lessen the impact on your joints.

OH! how I wish I had the motivation you girls have I am really ashamed of myself right now as all I do is 15 minutes on the bike and I have to really push myself so to all of you way to go and keep doing it maybe some of that motivation will some day rub off on me Rita

In my case its not so much motivation as sheer determination. I also really want to fit into my graduation dress come May, so thats a help. You could go buy yourself something you absolutely love, but don;t quite fit into just yet and hang it where you can see it every day. It'll serve as a reminder and encourage you to exercize. Just don;t frustrate yourself by purchasing a size zero something that you'll never fit into--make it realistic. My dress is a size 20W but its crocheted, so it hugs all my curves...I just want it to hug less snugly.

It was such a beautiful day today I couldn't walk indoors. Headed out to do a short walk, just 1.5 miles but it was nice enough.

Rita~don't fret about doing a lot at a time. 15 minutes is a good start and you are at least moving. Maybe you can try to up it every other day or so by 5 minutes and work your way up slowly. Of course I know with a busy schedule it is hard to fit in exercise, especially if you work long hours and are too pooped to do anything. Sometimes though we just have to force ourselves to do it.

Struggling to pull a dress down over your chest and realizing the dress fits everywhere but there!! I worked up a good sweat putting on and off those dresses!!

Plus...Shanna and I walked around the mall feeling discouraged, but we did it!! (Crying the whole way!!)
