Good morning?

H-e-l-l-o???? Where have you all gone???

Me and my scales need some company....

I put on two pounds overnight??? WHY??? I think like the tooth fairy who visits during the night, i have a calorie fairy who creeps up on me while i sleep and injects me with calories, so i wake up fatter than when i went to bed!!! Life is sooooo unfair!

Default Hey Ladies!

Hi everyone...

Today I did my leg weight workout and they are STILL shaking, I am going to be sore tomorrow...I have been a busy bee this morning, went to the gym and have run around the house like a chicken with its' head cut off trying to get everything done before I pick my son up from school...The baby is so good, just plays while I run around...
My weight was 144.2 today....only down .2lbs in the past 2 days but I am chalking it up to me starting weight training and doing slightly less cardio...Oh well, we'll see eh?

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Leanne

Hi I'm here!! I miss the notices that someone has posted. Any ideas on when we'll get those back??

TF I think I have a calorie fairy too. I wake up the exact same weight I went to bed with. But then about 30 minutes later I'll weigh myself (yes, twice in the first hour I'm awake - am I on the right board or what!) and it's dropped by a pound or so. Both times are after I go potty too. I don't get it! An hour later I'll be back up by 1/2 pound or so. Very strange.

I've been eating pretty well this week....except today I caved in and had the new subway low Carb wrapper. Tasted great, then I realized the darn thing has 24 carbs.... I didn't eat the wendy's value meal I was craving.

Well, as usual this is a book. sorry!! Good to be back!

Hi guys!!

Yes TF I'm on the write board. Last night I stopped at Hardee's on the way home and got their new LC cheese burger. I was really craving junk food and I decided this was probably the better way to go. (in case you don't know, it's a hamburger wrapped in lettuce instead of a white bun). It was everything I've been craving rolled into one late dinner!!! I came home and my BF smelled the hamburger on me! We are on South beach together - he was so upset! I finally told him where I got it - before he threw in the towel and came crashing off the diet himself. A little later he asked me if I'd go brush my teeth - the smell of the hamburger was making him hungry. Is that sad or what!!!

today the scales have not moved. that's a very good thing - considering I ate dinner at 10:30 last night and also had coffee yesterday. Good indeed!

Leanne - you're making me feel pretty lazy too. I'm going to try to change that to "inspired" by next monday!

HS how are those injuries doing?? Need a massage??

We haven't heard from Splashes since i posted this!!!! hope she didn't get upset and raid the sugar pops box again??

Although she did say she's was desperate to hit the gym so maybe she's still there??

I promise to sit at my puter and zip it next time

LG - i wish we could get LC fast food in England, if you ask for a burger without the bun, they look at you as if your MAD!!! I tend to get a burger, take it home and eat it off a plate without the bun. Not as convienient but better than eating the bread! - bet it was a shame to have to brush the flavour of the burger away, but at least it stop him falling off the wagon!!
Oh and one last thing......don't you got to the gym as well, it will really make me feel like i'll hve to do something!!! stay on the couch with me, we can watch the rest of them wack themselves out!!

TF - you're too funny! I'm still laughing!! I hope HS is back soon - I hope she's not hobbling around on crutches!

Yeah, suddenly there is a rush for fast food places to make LC food. Most of it's not really LC yet, but they're in the mindset. Some even have "atkins friendly" menus. Pretty cool.

Well, I have to do a massage for shool now. Talk with you guys soon - hope everyone is back, soon.

Leanne, I don't think tomorrow is my day. I have to bond with TF for a little longer then maybe she and I will hit the gym together someday soon

Default Hi there!

Hi everyone! I, too, posted on the Addict's #3 thread and was invited to come on over and jump in, so here I am jumping!

It sounds like you guys are all pretty regular posters and pretty neat people, so I think I'll enjoy joining in!

As I posted in the previous thread, I think my scale and my tape measure or conspiring together against me. I keep trying to only use them on Mondays, but somehow, I'm tricked into using them every other day or so. But not this week! I've not looked at the scale since Monday morning!

Thanks for letting me join in!

Welcome aboard! There are a number of us but a couple are MIA right now. Hope everyone is doing okay!!

Tomorrow I have my first visit with a naturapathic, Applied Kinesiologist. It will last 4 hours long and I'm feeling really mixed about it. I know my diet will be absurd when I leave there!! But I also know that he's helped a ton of people. The pain that I've been keeping at bay is growing now and I am beginning to believe the doctor that told me I have fybromayalgia. Still don't want to believe it but I'm almost backed into a corner now. This doctor is doing wonderful things with his chronic pain patients.

This is also part of why I haven't been worrying about what I eat since vacation. I know this was coming. All weekend I ate what ever the heck I wanted to. I knew that after tomorrow I'd be stuck with organic egg whites and paprika. I'm hoping it won't be that bad

At any rate - I hope everyone is feeling better and comes back soon!!! TF I didn't make it to the gym this week either - are we still couch buddies??

Angry

Hi Ladies
I am still here...and YES, the scale monster is STILL biting me...
I am hanging around 143.0....
I have been weight training and RUNNING faithfully now, and I am really starting to see my body change its'form!

Tuesday I went to the gym and thought I would run 3km...well, 3 turned into 4, into 5km and finally 6km I stopped....SO I did 6km in 50 minutes...which is a start, my goal is to get to 10km and get FASTER, but you have to start somewhere right??

SO I hope everyone is doing well and not being ATTACKED by that evil little scale monster....

Hi guys!! Good to see you guys!!!! I have dial up at home....I avoid using that computer like death!!! We feel your pain HS.

Leanne - good for you running so far!!! You're right, you have to start somewhere, which is exactly my problem - I haven't started.

Had my doctor visit today. Went really well. Diet isn't too bad. He did take away all dairy - completely. No more yogurt or cheese. What do I eat now?? That was my world....oh, that and olives. They were my other world! Oh well, I can now have brown rice so that's exciting. VERY EXCITING!

Better go for now. I'm a bit of a space cadet today so this won't make sense if I keep going. Good to see everyone on the board!!!

Default I DID IT!! I did it!

Ladies,

I am going to toot my own horn right now!

After having a great run 2 days ago, I knew today I could run NO LESS than 6km...
SO, 6km turned into 7km, then 8km, then 9km and FINALLY 10KM...
I DID IT< I DID IT, I DID IT!!!
92 minutes of STRAIGHT RUNNING....
I still cannot believe I did it!
NOW, I can honestly say that lovely saying "if I can do it....."
WOW, Great day for me today!(we'll see how the muscles are tomorrow)

Hope everyone is doing well today too...
