Just me reporting in... so far so good! Did anyone check out Dr. Phil's show today? Terri (one of the challengers) has posted some recipes on his site, and I'm going to check them out. If I find anything good, I'll pass them along.

Later,
Jana

I am not doing so good ladies! Yesterday I got no exercise and no water-BAD! I was busy and I know that is no excuse because we should always make time for exercise and water. I wish water was appealing to me to grab a bottle instead of a diet coke. Anyway, I am going to get it done today. I have to go to the mall today so I am just going to walk there. And I am working on the water as I speak or type. I have been taking my vitamins. Today will be a better day, and I did say 5 days and still have four left so...Hope everyone has an OP or challenge day!

Smile 3 down, 1-2 to go!

Ok... today I did them. I felt like I was going to pass out from it but I did them. Ok,,, so maybe I'm exagerating a bit about passing out... but my legs still hurt!!!

Also took my vitamin. You know, that's harder to remember to do than doing the squats!!!

Ok... I will post tomorrow.

Take Care Ladies
Marti

I'm a hopeless case! The only thing I'm doing really well with is the water. Not horrible with the food, but not very good....

One thing I have found out is that I have a lot more energy when I get protein at every meal.

I feel like a hopeless case also! UGH! But I am going to do this till I get it right! I had 2-24 oz. bottles of water, which I still think is better than nothing, but...I know I need to get more, lots more! I did get my walk in at the mall yesterday and I WILL get the WATP video done sometime today, if it kills me! And I am going to go get my vitamins right now while I am thinking about it.

You know Marti, that is so true. It is harder to remember to take the vitamins than anything else.

Came up short on one bottle of water yesterday and today but am staying OP. I don't know if the CAD will keep working but so far so good. I am really able to stay low carb for breakfast and lunch with only a few low carb snacks because I know that I can have a few carbs and a sweet at supper. My cravings are gone. I ALWAYS get a Reeses Peanut Butter cup from the candy cart every afternoon recess. I haven't done that once this week. I even had to stand next to the candy cart while I was on duty Wednesday and I realized later that it didn't even cross my mind to get one. I even passed up some sweets in the lounge because they just didn't appeal to me. In the past I would have gobbled down cardboard if someone had sprinkled sugar on it and called it pie! Please God! Let this continue to work!

HINT: I have asthma medication to take every morning and evening. I have contacts that I put in and take out every day, so I put my asthma medication with my contact supplies. I rarely forget that way. Maybe y'all could try something like that with the vitamins. Is there anything that you do religiously each day? If so, put the vitamins with it.

Jana and Cristi- It's o.k. We still love you! <<<HUGS>>> BTW one reason that I have stuck to this diet is because I haven't put any pressure on myself. (I literally don't make it through the first day on most diets- no lie) I haven't told anyone that I am dieting. Mom doesn't even know because when I come home, I eat the same things that I did before, but my appetite has calmed down and I don't seem to consume them in huge quantities. It must be all the extra protein.
to y'all!

Default 4 down, maybe one more to go!!

Well I did them today... Still sore. And still whining. Soon they will stop aching right!!??? So that makes it four days! But I am going to try and get in five. Depending on if I feel like whining about it or not.

Take care
Marti

P.S. On the other weekly challenge thread, at the end of every week they post little sunshines as rewards for succeeding that week... should we try that? Or should we just get ourselves used to doing this?? Let me know.

Default Ok Kayecee....

Ok here is an example............

Kayeccee---

Jana--

Petra--

Cristi--

Marti--

Natalie--

That's how it would look if we "completed" our week. We don't necessarily have to have the sun...we could use the encoure: we can use whatever we want. And for making an effort for that week, but not completing it... we could use... whatever you think would be appropriate. I'm not sure what but you all can help me out here.

What do you think? That way we feel we're working for something. When I worked for Sony, the woman who did the Fitness Challenge... created a track. She had huge poster board with a track drawn on it...every 1/2hr. or hour (represented a mile) that we excercised, she would move our name which was on a pair of little fipflops whe made... and at each certain point..(I think it was every 5 or 10 miles) she handed out little gifts. The first one being a bottle of gatorade and power bar. Half way was a t-shirt and finishing it was a sweatshirt. It was cool. People didn't know what the "little" gifts were so they strived to get there. And I figured, here, even though it's just a smilie face... it's something. You're working to "get something" and we all like "getting" things don't we??

Ok. I was going to make this quick, but it turned out longer. Oh yeah, and after each week, you would have to let me know if you thought you succeeded or made an effort. Make sense?

Default Sounds great!

I like that idea! Why don't we also post a mini- goal (like 10 pounds) and a small reward that we are going to give ourselves when we reach it. We could do it on another thread and call it Reward Thread or something. That way this thread won't be overshadowed! It doesn't necessarily have to cost anything. I know some of us are on tight budgets. It could just be a bubble bath with no kids allowed or some quiet reading time.
