Oh, I get it, the guy's a complete moron. Why didn't you say so?
Leave it to Ft. W. Bch to have pink witches! How progressive!
Wabby, you are a good girl. (Did you really do all those things? Are you on speed or something?)
I haven't read any of those, except
Atlas Shrugged. For that one, you have to have about a month free of other activities, plus a clear mind. Oy. I read it back when i had a mind.
I read schlock now. Good schlock. Right now it's Maeve Binchy. Nice and fluffy. Also I'm reading a collection of short stories by a Maine author. It's called
Officer Friendly. I got it because of the name. We have an Officer Malcolm that should be called Officer Friendly.
I made an excellent crockpot beef stew today. I didn't use a recipe. Maybe that's where I've been going wrong lately -- bothering with recipes. I just threw in beef and onions, sprinkled them with flour, salt and pepper, tossed them to coat the pieces, and started the crockpot. Then I threw in 2 huge carrots, 2 huge potatoes, what was left of a bunch of celery, a little can of V-8 mixed with a small spoonful of beef bouillon paste and some hot water. Then I yanked an old bay leaf off the decoration hanging over my sink (the dust makes it all very special), tossed that in, plopped the cover on and drove to guitar lessons. 4 hours later, we had delicious stew. DH raved.
a purple puddle?
Hi Cherry! Tonight is the last regular high school football game here. Aren't you done with that marching soon? DD plays in the pep band -- they don't have to march, thank goodness. They also don't have to go to away games. It's all a little too easy. Not that I'm complaining. It's mighty cold this time of year when they do play -- playoffs are coming right up and our school's in them, so she'll be freezing her little fingers off.
DD is going to school in a white halter top, slinky tight knit pink skirt, strappy high heeled sandals, pearls and my great-aunt's old beaver coat. What do we think this costume is supposed to be? I'll take votes all day.
