Hey Kathy and Michelle ....

Well....you know how yesterday I said that I was right back on and that it would be an OP day? well it was till about 8:30 last night, I suddenly like freaked out and ate like 4 snack size candy bars, half a bag of popcorn, and two pieces of toast with real butter...and I think I might have had a brownie....OMG, I felt so guilty and bad about myself going to bed, I just layed there feeling sick from all I had eaten knowing that I didnt need it nor was I hungry....I dont know why I did it...my husband was out wiht some friends so I was alone, no one to say "should you be eating all that?" ... I know I probably shouldnt beat myself up about it but I feel bad....I can only pray that I have the strength to get right back on today and stay within my points, ya know?
I can do it...I just dont know why I lost all my will power for those crazy moments, I guess I havent pigged out in a while...so I am a little depressed, especially since three days of off program has put up two pounds on the scale....oh well hope you guys are doing better....

Kathy - I have heard about the South Beach Diet but do not know what it is about, hope you like it...alot of people do...

Michelle - Hope you had an OP day yesterday, we need to get right back on like we were in the beginning, plus if we can stay OP we have Thanksgiving to look forward to and we can pig out that day!!!

Also please keep a friend of mine in your prayers, a lady on another thread that I sometimes post on husband had a heart attack early yesterday morning...Her name is Faye and he is Jack they have been married a long time and are high school sweethearts...he is doing okay but still needs some prayers, please keep them in yours...thanks

Talk to you girls later....

Sassycat 11-04-2003 10:39 AM

Good Morning

Oh Carrie how sad, I hope that Jack is doing better and I will keep him and Faye in my prayers. You just can't take life for granite that is for sure it is too precious.

Carrie it sounds like you are like me when no one is around or I have nothing else to do I sit and pig out on anything and everything and not necessarily want it and it don't even taste good either. But we can do this I know we can!!!! Yesterday was a sorta an OP day I did better then I have in a few days that is for sure, but today will be an even better day for me.

Kathy I have heard of the South Beach Diet isn't it like Atkins but not as restrictive? Not sure if I am thinking of the right one here or not.

Well I have to leave for work at noon so this will be my only post for the day but here is my breakfast I ate a big one since I won't eat now till around 4pm.

1 egg 2 points
4 slices center cut bacon 2 points
1/2 cup 2% milk 1.5 points
2 slices regular bread no butter 3.5 points

8 points

Everyone have a great day!!!!!!!!! ;) :)

luckycharm 11-04-2003 11:07 AM

Good morning,

We will keep Jack and Faye in our prayers here.

luckycharm 11-04-2003 11:23 AM

Good Morning again.

Nothing like hitting the wrong button on the computer.

Carri, Don't beat yourself up. Does your hubby actually say anything to you if you start to snack? Sometimes mine will say do you really need that? and Sometimes he fixes us both a snack and says he doesn't want to snack alone.
:drill: But now is the time to get back on. You can do it. We must stay :strong: Will it help you to think of Thanskgiving and if you can stay op until then you can reward yourself by eating a little extra? Remember you can lose those 2 pounds quite quickly if you just get right back on track. YOU CAN DO IT.

Michelle are you enjoying your job? Good breakfast. Thats a long time to go before you can eat again. You can do it also, keep within those points. Just remember to stay away from the machines and go shop in the exercise part of the store to help maintain your focus. :barbell:

The SBD is like Atkins but not as strict in some ways no carbs for 2 weeks, then slowly add them back, but stricter in some other ways, no excuse for eating alot of fatty meats and any other "bad" saturated fats that the Atkins diet doesn't control. We shall see how it works. It does state that your body takes 2 weeks to get over its cravings of carbs and sugar and to get your insulin levels back in order. Then you can add some foods back. It does state that after 2 weeks you will not crave sugar or carbs anymore. That is the part I'm hoping to get to.

Well I am going to go make some breakfast. A veggie omlet and some water..

Check back later.
Have a super day
Kathy

Satine 11-04-2003 01:42 PM

Thanks for the prayers guys.....

Kathy - I dont know if I could stay away from the carbs, I did try to do the Atkins diet one time with my husband and he did well he lost like 14 pounds in a little over two weeks, me however I got really sick after like three days of it, I was light headed and passed out on the toilet, I have low blood sugar issues so I dont know that it was the best choice for me, WW has definitely worked the best...I wont beat myself up too bad, I know it happens, and yes if I work toward the Thanksgiving goal I will do better...

We should have a Christmas Challenge, like losing 15 or so pounds by Christmas, is that possible? it sounds like a good amount but we have a little less than two months...let me know maybe we should make it ten pounds, but that doesnt seem like alot....

Michelle - Hope you had fun at work today...I am sitting here looking forward to leaving for the day at 4:30....it cannot come fast enough....

Breakfast:
none

Lunch:
Turkey on wheat with mayo - 5 pts
chips - 4 pts
water - 0 pts
-------------------------------
9 points so far for day....

Check in later....Have a great day........

luckycharm 11-04-2003 04:38 PM

Hey Ladies

I am all up for a Christmas challenge. I say this as I pop another caramel in my mouth.

Name the game and I'm in.

Lunch noodle soup. Good start to my no carb diet.

Girls , good morning...

I did something so stupid last night...I think I told you that I am lactose intolerant, right? I think I did, well I went off program and had all this cheese with breadsticks and pizza burgers with a ton of cheese on and in them...I was so sick all night, not only did I eat way too much, but I ate something that makes me sick...I was so mad at myself this morning...I knew better...
I hope I can have an OP day today...but it may be a wash...
because tomorrow is my 10 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY :)
So at some point he will be taking me out for a dinner of my choice ( either tonight or tommorow ) and I am not counting my points that night you can bet...so I may have to restart my program on like Friday or Saturday....I can gain that much in two to three days, right?

Kathy - caramels? I love them...sounds good...yeah that doesnt sound like something on the South Beach Diet...hee hee
Good luck with that...maybe we all start fresh on Monday...

Michelle - Hey Girl, how is your program going?

Okay talk to you guys later...

Satine 11-06-2003 02:53 PM

Well it seems like I cannot have an OP day to save my life...I have been through this before and I can turn it around, but I just need a few days I guess...
So I do not have any good OP news or points info but... today is my husband and I's "10th" wedding anniversary, so I am excited about that...:cloud9:
We will most likely go out and eat tonight, we dont usually buy eachother gifts but when I came home for lunch today he had a little jewelry box for me and it had a Nomination charm in it that read "I love you", it was really sweet...
Do you guys get into the whole charm bracelet? It is really, really big around here...in fact I just got my mom one for her birthday last week...
Well no one has posted today so everyone must be busy and/or off program like me....let me know if you guys are in favor of starting fresh on Monday...maybe we can all get our butts in gear by then...:joker:
Anyway I hope you guys are doing well...talk to ya later...:comp:

luckycharm 11-07-2003 12:20 AM

Hello All

Carri :gift: :balloons:
Happy anniversary, Happy anniversary. Happy anniversary...
HHAAAAPPYY Anniversary. And I just want you to know I sound exactly like Martina McBride when i sing. (I soo wish)

Well Sure we can start fresh. Have the rest of the week to blow it just a little then not feel bad and ready to start again. I only have half a bag of caramels to finish. I was going to make caramel apples with them. That way they are a little healthy.

Michelle how are you doing? Hope all is well. Are you staying away from the vending machine?

Check back later.

Kathy

Satine 11-07-2003 08:39 AM

Thanks, Kathy....lovely song :) We had a great anniversary we went out to eat, we ate too much and then came home and beached on the couch....my husband was not feeling that great he has some kind of eye thing with this contact, all red and hurting..I am hoping it is better today...

I think that sounds like a plan, we will eat normally till Monday and then start back in, fresh...not to say that we should just pig out to extremes but within reason, as if we know what that is...
if we did we would not be in the shape we are in, right?

Michelle - Hello? We miss ya girl....
What have you been up to? Are you in for the starting fresh on Monday? Or are you staying OP and making us look bad? :bubbles:

Okay girls, have a great day...Kathy dont eat too many caramels - ah what the heck finish the bag, just kidding...:hun:

Check in later....:sunny:

luckycharm 11-08-2003 09:12 PM

Hi Ladies

isn't it kind of funny how the mind works. I have given myself a free weekend and I haven't eaten anything that I shouldn't. Maybe that should be my philosophy from now on. Haven't even eaten any caramels. And my biggest accomplishment? Birthday cake that was loaded with mocha whip cream on chocolate fudge cake. I said no thanks and didn't feel like I sacrificed anything.

Carri, I am so glad that you had a great celebration. Tell your husband I feel for him. I went through that a couple weeks ago and couldn't wear my contacts for a week, and I have no glasses so I had to wear my daughters glasses. Couldn't see really well but at least I didn't bump into any walls.
Did he get you a gift?

Michelle how are you? We are missing you. Pop in and say hi!

Check back later.
Kathy

Satine 11-10-2003 10:51 AM

Hey Kathy and Michelle - how are you girls doing? I am good, my allergies are acting up today but other than that I am fine...today is my late shift at work so I am working 9:30-6:00 and that kind of sucks but what are ya gonna do? Right?

Well so today I am concentrating on getting back OP, whatever it takes...I may have to not go as drastic as I was, I mean like going up to the top of my points for a few days ( or maybe even one or two over ) to get myself back into it....I did pretty much eat whatever I wanted to the last few days, and believe me it was wonderful, I had forgotten how nice it was...but on the other hand I have gained a couple of pounds and that does not make me feel good...so today back OP and it will be a challenge...
you girls with me? Good.... we need to get right back on...
I am trying to help my husband this time to, so it will be a little harder than normal...he only has like 30 extra pounds on him to lose, nothing like I have, so it will be depressing to see him get it off quickly - IF - he will stick with the program...

well I will check back in later...hope you guys are doing well..

Satine 11-11-2003 08:25 AM

HEY, I WAS ACTUALLY OP YESTERDAY!!!!!!:cb: :encore: :cheer:

Yeah I actually was I am so proud of myself, of course that is just one day but hey it is a start...I am especially proud that I did not have any sundae...my husband made himself a big ol sundae about 8:30 with hot fudge, nuts, whipped topping, and cherries
and I wanted some ( okay I did have a small bite ), and normally I would have made one of my own but not last night...I am truly going to stay OP until Thanksgiving...I dont care if I have like one to two off program meal between now and then but not anything like I was doing....
I did end up at 29 points yesterday which is my maximum ( I try to keep around 27 ) but hey that is what they are there for...

How are you girls doing? :sunny: :grouphug:
Hope you are doing well...Michelle you are going to have to quit your job so that you can post more....ha

Later girls.... :crossed: for another OP day!!!

luckycharm 11-11-2003 12:09 PM

Hi Carri and Michelle.

Carri,:D Way to go on getting back on. What a great feeling. And the biggest  is for only having one bite of that wonderful sounding sundae.

Have either if you ladies checked out the website fiday.com? That is a really great website that tracks your weight, goals, nutrician.

Must go and try and make some breakfast for all.

Have a great day.
Kathy

Kathy - I have been to fit day and I used to have an account there that I imput all of my information daily...but now that I have been doing the WW thing it doesnt help me as much, but it is a good site, I would say definitely go there and use it...

I was OP yesterday until about 9:00p then I had about 4 chips and some bites ( about like 5 or 6 ) of some real buttery mashed potatoes that I made for my husband...oops :(
But actually I do not think it put me much over my points, probably by like 3 or 4.. but still I did have quite a weak
moment :ink:

I am OP so far today and plan on being all day, I am pretty :hun:
right now, but I have a three point granola bar in my desk so I will be having that soon....:D

How is everybody else doing? Michelle? Are you still with us? We have missed you and your imput...Dont let Wally world take over your life.... :sunny:

Well hope you guys have a good day and evening...Kathy check back in with ya tomorrow...how is the South Beach going? Or did you start that yet?

Later
