Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes banana tomato and cheese sandwich, watermelon plum beef noodle skillet I needed to do something with my snack choices, so yesterday I just grabbed some fruit instead of pretzels or crackers. And I ate a much smaller portion for dinner. I can do this...I will do this! I'm sure my knee pain is because of all this extra weight. Sure was warm out yesterday. It's much cooler today. Did you get your AC to work? Have a great Wednesday! |
Exercise
10 flights of stairs in morning 10 flights of stairs at mid-day. 1 hour walk/jog Meals Protein drink Eggplant Parmesan panini Banana Yeah Renee, good choices with the :cb:fruit!:cheer2:You can do it!! :cheer2:Stick with it, and those pounds will melt away. I thought about getting some Frito Corn chips with my sandwich today, but decided against it. I figured I would be full after eating the sandwich and I was. A lot of times I eat just to eat, which I need to stop doing. Just like while I am typing now, a little voice is telling me, I think you are hungry and need some food. I am ignoring it for now and telling it to wait until tomorrow. Plus my pantry and refrigerator are kind of bare, which helps out on this effort too. Water is always good to drink and especially on a hot day. It was still hot here today, but suppose to get cooler tonight. A little cooler would be nicer. Tomorrow I am suppose to meet up with an old friend for lunch. This will be a good test for me to make sure that I stick to my diet and eat something healthy, and an appropriate portion size too. I can do this! I want to be thin and trim, so that is what I must think, thin and trim food. :dust::carrot: Have a terrific Thursday! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_CYmMZRPkvh...eight-loss.gif |
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores 1/2 hr. working Steel Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes tomato and cheese sandwich plum banana roast chicken, carrots, pears I finally worked with Steel a bit. I wanted to see how my knee would hold up. Seems ok this morning. I'm sure you will make good food choices for lunch. It's always nice to get together with old friends. You can do this! We can do this! |
Exercise
1 hour walk Meals Banana Protein drink Tofu, brown rice, and vegetables Tomato soup and Caesar salad Had a nice lunch today with my friend. She took me to a vegetarian restaurant. It was great. I had so many choices it took me a while to decide which meal to order. It was some healthy food so I am happy about that. No bad temptations for me today. :) For your knee, remember no running. ;) Do you have another horse show this weekend or one coming up soon? I'm thinking about taking my dog to the river this weekend to play in the water and run on the small strip of sand. If I go early enough, there should be hardly anyone there. He will love playing in the water. Happy Friday! https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.4...=0&w=300&h=300 |
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes tomato and cheese sandwich banana plum salad, pizza, strawberries I do have a horse show on Sunday. We'll see how it goes. Sounds like you had a nice lunch with your friend and you made good food choices. I went grocery shopping yesterday and loaded up on fruit and vegetables. The garden is looking good. I've been picking lettuce, radishes and asparagus. Enjoy your trip to the river! |
Exercise
2 hour walk in morning 1 hour walk in evening Meals Scrambled eggs Mock Chicken patty Salad buffet Good luck at your horse show. Take it easy on your knee. It is great that your garden is doing good. I need to replant my sunflowers or thin them down some. They sprouted very well. It has been very dry here and our grass in the yard is dying. Some species of trees have yellow leave already too from it being too dry. Hope to get some rain soon. I went for a nice walk downtown with my dog in the early morning. It was overcast and a bit misty. Great for walking. We loved it. Great bonding time. Went to the grocery store today and was able to fight off the free cookie and many other treats. I am very happy with myself. I didn't even have the urge which is quite surprising. Something is working in that willpower today. :) I like it. Have a super Saturday! https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...fd66fc0970.jpg |

1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes plum tomato and cheese sandwich, hardboiled egg cantaloupe, beef barley stew, strawberries No change for me, but I feel much less bloated. Hope the scale smiles at you! Foggy with thunderstorms today. Have a great Saturday! |
Exercise
1 hour walk in morning 1 hour walk in evening Meals Tofu scramble with cheese Veggie Sub Taco Salad My weight shows a drop, but then it has been all over the place lately. So to be fair, I really shouldn't count it probably until next week to be accurate. Or I can just say I went down 2.5 lbs since Wednesday. Crazy isn't it. I bet next week you will show a loss. You have been eating healthy foods I see. You can do this Renee, stick to it. You know you want to do it. You can and you will do it. :broc::cheer::broc: We went to the river today and I had my dog play in it for a while fetching toys, then we walked in town, did a few minutes of agility and headed home. He got a good work out. He really loves water. Went to the Farmer's market later and browsed. Still holding up strong against all the sweets for sale. Yeah! Later got an exercise video from the library. I will probably work out with it tomorrow. Hope the weather is good for your horse show tomorrow. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...a4011012d3.jpg |
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes slice of pizza taco salad Got Steel ready for the show. I had to give him a bath because he was plastered with mud. He loves to roll in mud....... Sam starts his summer vacation today. We have lots of things to do here around the farm, so it will be a staycation :) Have a blessed Sunday! |
Exercise
30 minute walk 45 minutes aerobics 1 hour gardening Meals Tofu scramble Veggie Sub Tortilla chips Mock barbecue pork Carrots and berries Hope Steel and you did good at the show. It was another hot, dry day here. My dog didn't even feel like walking this morning, so we cut it short. Later after church, he felt better and enjoyed playing in his pool. I just sat outside reading for a while then began transplanting some sunflowers. Still avoiding those unneccsary temptations. Hope to keep the trend going. Enjoy your time with Sam on that staycation. https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.t...=0&w=200&h=160 |
Exercise
1 hr. afternoon barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries banana granola bar cantaloupe fruitcup, ham, mac & cheese, Well, yesterday was a disaster. My knee was feeling good on Saturday as I got things ready for the show. As soon as I hit the sand for the first class, my knee really hurt. I could hardly finish the class. Thank goodness their were some girls there that offered to take him in his other classes. He did end up being champion, but I'm laid up again. I think there is something more going on with my knee. I'm going to call an ortho Dr. today. We're expecting rain this afternoon...hope you get some too. Have a great day! |
Exercise
10 flights of stairs 30 minute walk Meals Oatmeal with raisins Tofu and vegetables Mock fish bites Soy delicious Popsicle Poor Renee, as soon as I saw your limited exercises, I knee your knee must be hurting you again. Poor woman. I'm glad you found someone else to show off your champion! The handsome Steel. Hopefully you will see the Ortho soon. However, I think he will tell you that you need just take it easy for a while and let it heal slowly. I know you think you are Wonder Woman, and chores don't wait, but sometimes the mind and body are out of sync. ;) I hope you heal soon. Sorry to hear about your pain. We got a little bit of rain at the house, but other parts of the State got dumped on. Maybe we will get more tonight. Hope you feel better on Tuesday! http://www.vitamin-ha.com/wp-content...mages-W630.jpg |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes banana tomato and cheese sandwich salad, shrimp scampi, rice, snow peas I'm so glad Sam has vacation this week. He's helping me with the horses and other things around the house. I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor, but it's not until the 29th. Wow, did we have some wicked storms yesterday. Lots of roads closed and debri all around. We had a couple of trees come down, but nothing in the way of anything. Just took some fence down, but I don't use that pasture. Have a great day! |
Exercise
10 flights of stairs 30 minute walk Meals Scrambled eggs and hash brown Spinach, Tomatoes and Parmesan cheese Mock fish bites 1/2 cup ice cream Glad Sam is off and can help if needed. I noticed on my lilies some black balls and found out that is how they re-seed themselves. Very interesting. I thought it was by bulbs sprouting new ones underground and not on the plant stem. Learned something new. Have a great Wednesday! https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...rs-recipes.jpg |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes banana tomato and cheese sandwich salad, roast beef, broccoli Spent most of yesterday laying on my bed with an icepack. It hurts when I sit because it presses on my hamstring muscle. You will have a beautiful lily garden next year with all the bulbils. You can either plant them or they will fall off and plant themselves. Enjoy the first day of Summer! |
Exercise
10 flights of stairs 30 minute walk Meals Scrambled eggs and hash brown Taco salad Caesar salad and tomato/mozzarella flatbread Oh that is horrible! You poor woman. Does it hurt too when you sit and have your leg elevated so it is stretched straight? Are you going to make it to the 29th? That is a week away. :( Summer is here! Happy Summer. I love all this daylight, but now the daylight hours will start shrinking again. I am going to enjoy them while I can. Have you heard about the solar eclipse that will take place on 21 August? https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/ That is 2 months away. So that gives us our goal of 10 lbs to lose by then, which is 5 lbs a month. Very doable!!! https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...36680df389.jpg |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes banana tomato and cheese sandwich, hardboiled egg hamburger, pasta salad, corn Still spending most of the day on my bed with ice on my leg. It seems to be a bit better this morning. I need to go grocery shopping . Sam said he would go with me. i think I could go myself, but it's nice to have help. I accept the challenge for the eclipse! Have an awesome day! |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes hamburger banana pizza, cantaloupe I hobbled up and picked some blueberries yesterday. My knee gets worse the more I walk on it. I still have a week to wait to see the doctor..... Looks like more rain today. We are getting behind in our hay making, but you need 3 days of good weather and we just can't seem to catch a break. Maybe next week..... Hope all is well with you. |
Exercise
1 hour morning jog/walk 30 minute evening walk Meals Tofu scramble Veggie sub Taco salad Since your knee appears to be getting worse, maybe some type of brace or knee wrap for support would be a good idea. If you have a wrap like they use for sprains, then you could try that to see if you get any relief from it. It may be worth a try. Or even just using a couple of sticks or rulers to brace it too with a wrap may help. We got a little bit of rain this morning. I'm glad. Hope to get some more over the next couple of days. I guess it is kind of good that you are getting the rain, otherwise you would be out there hobbling around with the hay, and that would not be good. I'm doing fine. Just been busy with work. Went grocery shopping this evening and managed to not buy any ice cream. Which is very hard to do right now with it being hot out. I went into the store and then got out as quickly as I could, so I would not be tempted. Plus my husband came along too, and helped steer me away from bad choices. Our local thrift shop recently expanded and is having a grand re-opening Sat/Sun. I like going there because they are all volunteers and 100% of the proceeds always go to the local animal shelter. So of course I will have to visit it there tomorrow. Have a Super Saturday. http://www.funlife4u.com/wp-content/...rs-650x421.jpg |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes pizza cantaloupe, meatloaf, carrots Down 1 lb. :carrot: Haven't seen that for a long time! Guess switching out to fruit for my snacks worked. I certainly haven't been getting any exercise! Got hammered with rain overnight. The sun is supposed to shine today and we are hoping to cut hay tomorrow, We are way behind, but we'll catch up. Kind of depressed that I'm going to miss a horse show tomorrow and probably more in the coming weeks..... |
Exercise
1 hour walk 1 hour bicycle ride Meals Tofu Scramble Salad Buffet Yeah Renee!! Good job!! You did great, keep at it. My scale said I was the same. On the border with 1/2 loss, but not quite enough to tilt it. So the same for me. However, you did terrific! It is better that you miss a few horse shows with Steel right now so you can heal properly. I know it stinks that you have to miss some. Found a bird this morning on the ground that was caught in some string around our neighborhood. This is the string netting they put over the ground to help the grass grow. I think he leg was broken and the string had already cut into his leg too. i was unsuccessful in getting all the string off his leg, but I did manage to get him free by cutting the string with my keys. He flew away, so I hope he survives. So sad. http://www.dumpaday.com/wp-content/u...y-pictures.jpg |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes roast beef sandwich nectarine turkey, potato, peas, cantaloupe Good save with the bird. Hopefully it will be ok. We're finally able to cut some hay today. I won't be much help, but I'll do what I can. Our garden is looking pretty good. I see some small tomatoes on the plants. Can't wait for a good vine ripened tomato! Have a blessed Sunday! |
Exercise
1 hour walk in morning 1 hour walk in evening Meals 1 banana 1 peach Tofu scramble Chile Relleno, tortilla chips, salsa 1/2 cup ice cream I have one tiger lily blooming and one oriental lily blooming. My pumpkin plant is growing like crazy and with flowers. My sunflowers are about six inches now. So all is going good with the garden. Bought some early yellow peaches at a farm stand today. Ate one and it was good. The farmers trees are just loaded with peaches. He must have had more rain then we did. He is about 8 miles down the road too. Watched the movie 'Anne of Green Gables" this weekend. It was about an orphan girl living in Canada on Prince Edward Island. Have you ever seen the movie? I enjoyed it. https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.W...=0&w=300&h=300 |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals pancake, bacon banana bowl of cereal grapes pickled cucumbers, sausage stew Still have pain in my leg, but it seems a bit better. My knee starts to hurt after I've walked a bit. Cutting more hay today and will be baling tomorrow and Wednesday. Hope the weather holds out for us. I've never seen that movie. We watch a lot of movies thru Netflix. I'll add it to our list. Thanks for the suggestion! Have a great day! |

Exercise 12 flights of stairs 1 hour walk Meals Protein drink Vegetable Lasagna Mock fish bites Mini Carrot and berry muffin I hope your knee feels better soon. That must be so frustrating for you. You seem to be an active person and this must be impacting everything you do. I got the movie from the library. So it was a free rental. I think you can find one there too without having to pay for the movie to watch it. It is similar to other movie styles like Little Orphan Annie or Heidi etc. If you like those kinds of stories. Saw you had a pancake for breakfast. Do you ever eat them with blueberries or strawberries? Very yummy. Hope you have a sunny Tuesday (especially for the hay. ;)) http://redfairyproject.com/wp-conten...nspiration.jpg |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes roast beef sandwich, watermelon banana chicken, rice, asparagus We have a subscription with Netflix so I'll see if they have it. Looks like we will be in a rush to bale the hay. Calling for pop-up showers this afternoon. My flowerbeds are a mess. I haven't been able to weed them....... Have a wonderful Tuesday! |
Exercise
10 flights of stairs 1 hour walk/jog Meals Berry Drink Vegetable lasagna, breadstick hummus and tortilla chips Today I went to the grocery store after work, determined to buy some ice cream popsicles. I thought, well I guess I should check the calories first,:mag: but I will get them anyway. Funny how I think sometimes. I took a look and was surprised :yikes:, 180 calories each with 100 calories being fat, and not the good kind either. So looking at the box in horror, I quickly put them back and then began dreaming of how many calories I would burn off during my walk/run tonight. :running: A surprising motivator!:cheer: https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.A...=0&w=300&h=300 |
Exercise
1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries banana chicken sandwich, tortilla chips grapes sausage stew, watermelon Sam went back to work this morning, so I'm on my own doing the chores. I really miss driving Steel! Hopefully after tomorrow, I'll know whats going on with my knee. We got the hay baled and put away. A couple of times it sprinkled, but not enough to do any harm to the bales. We have more to bale today. It was a chilly 47 degrees when I got up. I think Skinny Cow and Weight Watchers make lower calorie popsicles. I buy a "light" ice cream. It has 100 calories per 1/2 cup. Enjoy this beautiful sunshiney day! |
Exercise
10 flights of stairs 30 minute walk Meals Berry drink macaroni and cheese, flax seed chips Caesar salad, tomato soup 47 degrees is cool. We were around 65 I believe. I will have to look for Skinny Cow and Weight Watchers at the grocery store next time. Thanks for the tip. Hope you have a terrific Thursday! Be careful with that knee. http://fitnessmotivationalquotes.com...motivation.png |
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries banana tomato and cheese sandwich nectarine spaghetti, stringbeans, watermelon Got some more hay in. We still have a few fields to do. I have an orthopedic doctor appointment this morning. Guess we'll see what's going on with it. Hopefully something I can fix with therapy. Have a great Thursday! |
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries grapes tomato and cheese sandwich spare rib, corn, hash brown Ortho doctor took x-rays. Said the bones in my knee were very good. Next is an MRI to look at the soft tissue. Of course, there aren't any appointments available until Monday for the MRI, then his next opening is July 13th. I'm pretty sure it's a soft tissue issue. I'll probably be healed by the time I see him again! Have an awesome Friday! |
Exercise
1 hour jog/walk Meals Tofu scramble, berry drink Veggie sub Salad buffet July 13th is 2 weeks away! Yes, I bet you will be healed by then. I hope so, and that it won't be anything extremely serious. To bad you have to wait. Good luck for tomorrow's weigh-in. I am keeping my fingers crossed. We can do it! https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...a0cd1bf1ae.jpg http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/data...udSlbdJYGXyf/Z http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/data...abn93wHlTsGP/Z |

I guess the older you are the quicker the months go by. Now starts the fair and carnival season. Sam and I like to go and listen to the music groups. Hope the scale smiled at you. Have a great Saturday! |
Exercise
1 hour walk in morning 1 hour walk in evening Meals Tofu scramble Corn on the cob, lime avocado, tortilla chips, bean burrito, lime Wow Renee!!! :woohoo: That is great!!! :bravo: :cp: You did terrific this week. Good for you. Yahoo!!! :carrot::hug::cb: I only went down 1/2 lb. I thought it would be more, since I stepped on the scale yesterday first and it showed a bigger loss, but today is the official weigh-in day, so I can only count today's. I will definitely have to catch up with you next week. :running: So be ready ;) Happy July! Yes, time sure does fly nowadays. Hope you have a Happy 4th July week!!! http://www.produceforkids.com/sites/...elebration.pnghttp://appforhealth.com/wp-content/u...itdesserts.jpg |
Exercise
1 hour walk Meals Tofu Scramble Mock Chicken patty and mock fish bites Morning weigh-in shows no loss for me. Not a surprise since I did a lot of traveling around and ate a lot of different foods. We had a wonderful vacation and now it is back to grind to get on top of things once again. What a heat wave here too.....unbearable. I can't believe how hot and humid it is. Most of my sunflowers survived. A few were eaten by rabbits I believe, along with a good portion of my lilies. The rabbits were probably really thirsty. That is all I can think of since they didn't bother the plants before. We always have rabbits around our house through the night and early morning. Hope your weigh-in shows some success! :) |
Exercise
1 1/2 hr. morning barn chores 1/2 hr. evening barn chores Meals oatmeal with blueberries 2 slices of pizza salad, lemon pepper chicken, applesauce Glad you're back and had a good vacation! No loss for me last week...... Had my MRI on July 3 and saw the doctor on Thursday. I have a torn meniscus. We're going to do conservative treatment first. 6-8 weeks of physical therapy, then we'll see where we're at. I think what's bothering me the most is no more horse shows. I am sad beyond words..... |
I'm sorry to hear about your torn meniscus. I can understand your pain. I had one before in my knee and lived with the pain for a year before I had surgery. The surgery helped alleviate the pain in my case, so it helped. I hope your physical therapy helps.
Sorry you will miss out on the horse shows this year. I know you truly enjoy participating in them. Perhaps you can find some alternative way to participate in them..... |
Exercise
30 minute walk 45 minute bicycle ride 1 hour walk Meals Tofu Scramble Veggie Sub Corn on the cob, Tofu pineapple shish-kebabs, egg fritter Went to the grocery store today and bought only healthy food. My husband greeted me at the door when I got home looking for treats, but walked away disappointed and grumpy. The first few days are always the worst when starting back up again on a healthy eating pattern. We have to go through the sugar withdrawals first, and then eventually reach a point where we can focus not so much on food, but more on life. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...9cde741287.jpg |

My knee is feeling pretty good. Now I need to be careful and not over-do it. Have a great Monday! |
