Good Thursday Morning/Night....

I was out on PTO yesterday, poo on the reports, will do them today. Samantha and Chris had their day in court. I kept the babes and took Jacob to his party at Pre-K, since S was not available. She did arrive about 30 minutes after the party started. They had two bounce houses, a sprinker, a water table, squirt guns, tie-die T shirts, painting, big wheels then pizza and juice. Really a cute day and Royce got to join in. Anyway, court went well. Samantha has done all the paperwork for the divorce, therefore not to pay for a lawyer. She has to re-do one of the pages in the doc, mail it in, then 60 days after the divorce will be final. She is pretty smart when it comes time for do it yourself stuff like this, gets it from her momma. lol, truly. I am all about saving $$$. After the party at Js school which was really a great party, we went to lunch then to Lowe's (hardware store) to get dirt for the flower gardens, flower pots and such.

C went to his momma's up north in Bunker Hill, Indiana with his brother yesterday. He did not get back until 9 pm. Chris picked up the boys, Sam went to do pull ups for Curtis and I went for a pedicure. I had not had one since before vacation (March). My feet and toes looked horrible. Now they are a beautiful bright pink. If toes can be beautiful??? haha. Came home and just made pepperoni/cheese baked snacks for dinner. Zero carbs. Very yummy. Shredded mozzarella in little mounds with a slice of pepperoni smooshed into the mound. Bake on 400 for 8 to 10 minutes till crispy. Dark edges. Sam and I split them..we were full. Just got into bed and C popped in the front door. He ate Ramen noodles then came to bed. His back is SLOWLY getting better but still causing him much pain. He goes back to the chiropractor tomorrow. Poor guy. He just keeps trudging through each day. Prayers for healing please.

Tonight is Jacob's Pre-K graduation. This should be a hoot. There are only 11 kids in his class so this will be short and sweet. Chris and his parents are coming, so I hope for Jacob they don't act the a$$es that they are. Sheesh. My brother, Ed and SIL Cindy, me, Curtis and Sam will be there. Don't know if Pia (Mike's wife) will be there or not. Not sure about my son either. Caps and gowns too. I will take pics and try to post them.

WL....still down 19 lbs. No further loss lately, that is ok. Sticking with the program. These last 8 lbs are the tough ones. I may go another 10-12, just to give me a safety net. We shall see. Hoping when things around the house slow down Sam and I can start walking in the evening. At least I will be close to home if my ankle decides not to cooperate. I could walk at noon a couple of days a week with another gal but I am afraid to get too far from work. Besides I have meetings at noon on most days.

Will be right back for personals. Gotta go, if you catch my drift. :)

Hello!

I am working from home today. I don't know if I told you all that a while back I started taking advantage of our flexible work arrangements and decided to work from home on Thursday's.

I picked Thursday's as it is such a busy evening for me when I get home from work. I have TOPS at 6:15 (and trying to get home from Cincinnati to Wilmington takes at least 50 min with no traffic so I was always arriving in a rush) and then from there we spend Thursday evenings with the nieces which includes pick up from activities, everyone home by 8:15, we all eat together, then play games, work on homework, talk, sing, be crazy until they go to bed--they get to stay up an hour more and be in bed at 10:30 on Thursday night.

They start showers at 9:30 so they all can be done by 10:15 then we have a devotion & prayers together and kiss them all good night and then we come home.

We have been doing this with them since Cailyn was born so for 16 years now. Things have changed some over the years but the structure has stayed the same. I cherish this time with them...it has built strong bonds between all of us. Their parents usually eat dinner with us but the rest of the time it is us and those girls.

Anyway, I love working from home on Thursdays! If we have a big meeting or a reason I need to be in the office then I go in and I flex to another day of being at home.

This morning the scales say I will have a loss at TOPS. I lost the lb I gained last week and it looks like another lb will be lost. I have slowed down this month on the weight-loss and I know it is because my routine got off with the Innovation Review meeting but I have lost and that is what counts. :)

Happy: I hope that your DH has an amazing time on his trip. It sounds like you have a lot planned to do. I get a lot more done when I am home alone. I just have to be careful to stay off the computer/phone and get the physical stuff done and then catch up on those computer things.

42 calls is a busy day! I am glad to hear that you didn't feel overwhelmed especially being new.

You mentioned that you felt old...well...I did to this week. We had Summer Interns start and one of them brought me his intake paper work, because his email wasn't working yet and he didn't want to be late turning it in...and when he brought it to me, he said "Mrs. Chaney......" I kept trying to smile and not cry! I felt like I that lady in the principals office...who I always thought was so old...and now I realize she was most likely in her 30's!

Laura: How nice that your BF bought an all-in-one lock for you. Very thoughtful!

I have a lot of year round allergies and my ENT has had me on the Flonase nose mist for years...daily. It helps me so much. During the spring and fall if I am going to be outside he has told me to take a oral over the counter allergy med during that time to help as well.

That was a beautiful park you were having lunch in.

You mentioned you needed to get back to logging in MFP and exercise. It is easy to get off track...but I know you can do it. I'll be looking for your postings on MFP.

Anne: How nice that you took an impromptu vacation day. Sometimes those are the best!

Poor R! I am sure he was devastated to have wet the bed but really it was the meds and his not feeling well and needing to sleep. Hopefully he will forgot it about it very soon.

Your question about the duck ride. It is exactly what Laura described. It is a wonderful way to see Cincinnati and get a good overview of the city skyline and river walk area. DH and I are off the week of July 4th and we are not going anywhere. If that timing works for you, your DD and Laura that would be great...if it doesn't, then we can also look for other dates.

Cincinnati is a fun city and there is a lot to see and do but a lot of nice public places to kick back and just enjoy each other's company. I love to plan fun events and have a lot of fun things in mind that we could do that isn't a lot of walking and the Duck Ride is one of them.

Also, I would love to take you to the Public Incline House for a meal..it's just a cool, laid back place with awesome views of the Cincinnati Skyline. Also, we should spend some time hanging out on Fountain Square...it is so pretty there and they have a lot going on at the Square all year round...see...I'm full of ideas!

Shad: I am glad to hear that the home issue is quieted down and back to a normal state.

I can't believe all you get done in a day! I love strawberries and your set up for growing them sounds very nice.

I have been to Memphis...I wish I had know you and Happy when she was living there...it would be fun to hang out with your wild and crazy girls! We love Memphis; we have been at least 3 times in the past 7 years. We need to go back.

My first time there we were on Beale Street and it was our last night before heading home. We were at BB Kings and had dinner there and was enjoying the music and it was about 10:30 p.m. and DH said we should head back to the hotel so we weren't tired in the morning heading back.

The band that was playing was really good and I didn't want to leave so he agreed to stay until 11:30 p.m. Well at 11:15 there was this commotion coming from the back of the building and the next thing you know BB King himself, walked in and took the stage and played with that band until 2 a.m.....and we stayed! My DH knew he was not getting me out of that club!!

Ceejay: I am so enjoying the pictures you are posting from your trip on FB. It looks so beautiful all the places you are seeing and it looks like you are having a wonderful time. I am so glad for you!

Hi to Dee and to Ellen.

I better get back to working..it was nice to spend some time with you all this morning.

MyChoice2bfit 05-18-2017 08:36 AM

Annie: You were posting over my head I see. I am glad to hear that the divorce paperwork is almost handled and because Samantha is so smart with paperwork it has saved her money.

Have a nice time this evening at J's graduation tonight. Those are always so cute and usually funny as the kids are very entertaining with whatever they are doing.

Good for you for getting a pedicure...that always makes me feel so much better and prettier when I get mine!

TTYL.

annie175 05-18-2017 09:05 AM

Hi ELLEN....make it a great day!

SHADDIE...wow SHAD even in your weaker state of recovery you get more done than I do feeling great. Woman slow down. What's the hurry? Will DSs house be ready to move into in 6 weeks? You will miss ODDU I am sure.

LAURA...maybe the loss of the lock was a good thing. Sounds like you got a much better lock you like batter. WTG BF! What a lovely picture. Is this the place you ate your lunch?

CEEG...I know you are enjoying your vacay. The pics you posted are gorgeous.

HAPPY...Hope DH has a wonderful time on his photo op trip. Can't wait till he posts the pics. What 4 or 5 days to yourself? NICE! I know when I am home alone I can get a lot more accomplished...or not..just be lazy. lol. Glad the SC worked out and you didn't get too swamped with calls. I would of loved to seen some pictures of the dresses that went for 5 bucks. Someone got a bargain. Only to resale them at a much higher price, I am sure. As far as the kids go, I don't think Chris is much of a housekeeper. Probably dusty and I worry about the sheets being washed. Yuk! Whew get my mind away from that.

Hello to everyone. Have an awesome, sunny day.

annie175 05-18-2017 09:12 AM

SUSIE...posting under my b*tt I see. haha When things slow down we will have to plan something. Cannot wait to meet you in person. Maybe 4th of July week will work out. I will have to check the on-goings at home. Sam, the boys and I have a couple of things planned here and there but they are just one day things. :) Good luck at TOPS and let us know the outcome. Looking good sister friend.

Morning all. It was very windy and warm again yesterday. As I’ve commented before, these windy days with the powerful gusts are very unrestful for me - and then we had a thunderstorm come through on top of that overnight. It was really pretty scary for a little bit. Though it’s healthy, I worry about our big oak tree losing one or more of its large limbs and damaging our or a neighbor’s property. My worries aren’t unfounded – the morning news had a story of a tree that went through the window of a house. No injuries, thankfully. Anyway, it was still rather windy when I commuted to work today. I’m ready for the wind to ease up! But no, it’ll actually shift directions and we're expecting a cold front to come through late this afternoon. Never a dull moment.

Shad – I’m glad things have quieted down in your house. You must be getting back to feeling like your normal self – you’re back in energizer bunny mode, LOL. You’re getting a lot done around the house and garden these days! Good for you. Any plans in the offing, or are you staying close to home and tending to domestic matters for the time being?

Ceejay – Happy birthday to your BIL. Love the photos you’ve been posting of your trip. I’m so glad you’re enjoying yourself.

Annie – Sounds like you had a nice time with the grands at their party yesterday. :) == Yay for Sam taking care of matters and not having to pay an attorney a king’s ransom to get her divorce. Bf and I have a friend going through a divorce and honestly, it’s dragging out so long that it’s only benefitting their attorneys. == Nice to get a fresh pedicure, especially when sandal weather is finally here! I’m almost at the one month mark since my last pedicure, and this season I intend to keep up with them, so I’ll make an appointment for sometime next week for another. – Yum, your pepperoni/cheese snacks sound so tasty! :hun: == Poor C, prayers that his back gets better soon. == Okay a pre-k graduation complete with caps and gowns sounds very over the top to me, but that said, I bet it’ll be cute as all get-out and I can’t wait to see some photos! :D Oh, I should mention that Coal had a graduation from one of his dog training classes and it included the wearing of a cap! (and I think Michelle had the same for one of her furries at one point). Too funny. == Good for you maintaining that loss!! Get walking, and don't wait for things to settle down at home because they probably won't!! ;) == Yes, the photo was where I had my lunch on Monday. It’s got some seating and a lot of raised planting beds and a fountain. It's a pretty place to eat outdoors that’s close to my office.

Hi Susie – Busy Thursday nights for you, but the time with your nieces sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy!! Congrats in advance for this week’s WL. :goodscale: == Re allergies – yeh, I’ve been on Flonase from almost the time it first became available as a prescription and it really changed my life. I don’t know what I’d do without it! I do sometimes take extra OTC allergy meds on top of that when my allergies are really bad, but not very often. And I think I might need to get an rx eye drop called in from my allergist because things are really bad right now.

Hellos to Ellen, Happy, and Dee!

Nothing to report from my corner of the world, so I’ll just post. TTFN!

annie175 05-19-2017 07:43 AM

TGIF FO SHO! And it is good Friday, payday! Oh yeah! I am going to go in my bank account and look at it then say buh bye. lol

The graduation was super cute. There was a slide show of classroom pictures from throughout the year. You can tell who the teacher favored. Yep, Jacob. On parent participation days Royce got to attend. He was also in a lot of the pictures. Yes, Chris and his parents were rude as h*ll to Sam and I. Shook Curtis, my son, and my brother's hands and said hello to Cindy. I smiled at them and nodded. They looked at me like I had a booger hanging from my nose, then snubbed me. I will keep trying to be nice, it is kind of my mission now. :) Anyway, too cute the kids walked across the stage (alter at church) shook hands with the teacher and got their diploma. We sat on the front row so Jacob kept making faces, or wiggling his eyes and eyebrows at us during the ceremony. We all got good laughs. The entire thing lasted 30 minutes then we went to the community room for cake and punch. Nope didn't eat it. They had a cupcake for each child with their picture glued to a tongue depresser sticking out. We all went to O'Charley's for dinner as that is where Jacob wanted to go. Of course he ate only the rolls. As did Royce cause he ate a piece of cake and also a cupcake. I would of tossed my cake at that point. Yuk. I am extra tired this morning. Kept hitting the snooze. A little late to work. Not bad. I don't take lunch on Friday's so it is all good.

Will be back for personals.

How sweet is this?

annie175 05-19-2017 08:54 AM

Ok back.

LAURA...It was very windy here yesterday. Today is rain/storms/lots of lightening. Hoping things get better in the weather department for the Indy 500 celebrations going on. I am not participating. Don't like people and crowds that much to be bothered. Plus I have other things going on most of the time. Yes, divorce can be expensive. Michael ended up paying over 50K in lawyer fees when he divorced his second wife. What a mess. Me thinks I picked the wrong profession. Maybe you should seek out selling your oak tree for bucks. Companies pay for Oak wood, IF you can find a company that is. I would worry about it falling and hurting someone too. Is it healthy or does it have dead limbs in it?

CEEG...when are you heading home? Don't envy your car ride AT ALL... Safe travels.

SUSIE...well, how did TOPS go last night?

HAPPY...did you survive Thursday? Makes for along day for you. DHs pics on FB are awesome!

SHADDIE...how you feeling?

ELLEN...What is going on this weekend?

DEE...hope you are feeling better, please post and update.

Make it a wonderful weekend. Hugs all.

happy2bme 05-19-2017 10:24 AM

Good morning fine ladies of the world,

Sorry I did not get in here to post yesterday but it was a long, crazy day. I have to be DH this week so I get to scoop litter, change water bowls and feed the ungrateful kitties. They are being nice to me because they want treats but I know they will turn their backs on me the minute DH shows up. I went into the office yesterday to work at the senior center. Interesting drama going on there - I see both sides of the coin and just do my thing. Afterwards I ran upstairs and had lunch - bbq boneless ribs, baked potato, beans - all carby stuff I know but really good and filling. I was still full at bingo that evening - just had half a salad for dinner. While I was at lunch I was talking to one of the ladies who was in my yoga class. They started talking to me and we were talking about volunteering. They started saying how things are messed up at the Historical Society and they need some fresh blood to come in and "make something happen". They kept looking at me. Then they said I was just what they needed and I'm thinking to myself YOU are just what I don't need. I politely told them that I already help out 3 organizations and I am finding that volunteering is taking a great deal of my personal time and I want to cut back (instead of adding more) so that I can enjoy our brief summer too. They had to leave for a meeting and the man they were with continued to talk to me about this for the next 20 minutes until I could extracate myself. Although I am 63 (hard for me to accept) I am still considered very young and desireable to these places which are clamoring for volunteer help. No shortage of things to do in this town! Came home, did a bit of tidying up and then had to gather the garbage and recyling and haul the bins down to the street for pick up today. I went through the refrigerators and thankfully did not have much to toss out. I am finding that if you buy berries, you have to plan on eating them in 2 or 3 days as they go soft quickly. I have had a really bad headache for the last 3 days. Part of it is because I am clenching my jaw again without thinking and cause tension headaches. And some of it is due to the diet pill - which if I am honest - aren't do much at all in the way of helping. I think it just comes down to putting your mind to portion control and clean eating and some movement every day. Unless I guess you are the type that feels if you take a pill, that psychologically gives you mental fortitude  I went to bingo last night - we had a decent crowd. My partner is looking peaked. He is having afib issues and I think he is finally getting tired of having his hands in everything and all the grief that goes along with it. Sometimes you have to get to that point to start letting go of things. And letting go is not always a bad thing, especially when it's for your health. I left bingo when they started the last game of the night because I wanted to get home before it got dark - because I can't see well at night and I also wanted to be in the house before it got dark and Mr. Bear decided to pay a visit. Today I need to run to Walmart, pick up some supplies for the thrift shop, pick up my diet pill refill at Walgreens and stop in to see one of the workers about doing some rearranging in the store. I'll stop at the senior center and pick up my gyro lunch. Then I will come home, have to make some sort of picnic salad that will hold up well outside for Sunday's shelter event. And then I hope to have the next day and a half all to myself to tackle some things in this house. I was hoping (foolishly) to have lots of time while DH is gone to do stuff here and things just keep popping up. DH appears to be having a great time at his class. He said it was freezing last night - cold here too but I looked at the weather ahead of time and told him to take some warm clothing because I knew they'd be going out in the wee hours of the morning for sunrise pictures and this time of year we get alot of our daytime heat from Mr. Sun. The nights and early morning can be frosty cold. He is taking some nice pictures - the scenery looks incredible and he is seeing all sorts of new animals to photograph.

Annie - my gosh $50,000 for a divorce??? Must have been alot of contesting going on. Wow. I know it saves a bunch of money if it can be amicable and you just agree to split. I suppose with Chris' family giving you guys the snub, they are supporting his side of the story. It happens, especially when people don't know the whole story. Be gracious - that's all you can do. Jacob looks so cute in his cap and gown. I love ceremonies with little fidgety kids - they just make you smile. Some of them are so serious and others just can't sit still so it's quite cute. OMG O'Charley's dinner rolls. Please sister. Those rolls, one salad that I can't remember and a seasonal dish that had a chicken cutlet, artichokes and the most amazing sauce made that my favorite place to eat when we lived down south. It's good that you are keto strong - me, I am just a sinner. :^:  I really laughed at your comment about "visiting your paycheck and then saying buh - bye " ain't that the truth! ;)

Laura - I guess if you think there is a possibility of over growth on the tree, you should have some trimming down or you will be liable if there is damage to the neighbor's house or fence. Although in Memphis our neighbor's huge tree was planted far too close to our driveway and was busting up our driveway. We pointed it out and she looked sad and said she could not bear to cut it down - it was at the far end of her yard but interferring with us to the point it was actually pushing out the boards of the fence. DH said if we had stayed there he would have taken her to court and sued her for the damage to our house. And we always wound up trimming all the loose and broken limbs from that tree. She was a ditz - her husband left her for a younger woman and the more we got to know her, the more we kind of understood why he left. :dizzy: Yes, I know - I have a stupid story about everything. :^: How funny that Coal had a graduation cap - that had to be hysterical. I guess part of being "obedient" was tolerating that hat! My Mom was saying how super hot it is by you - very unseasonably warm for even this time of year. That's not good because you get scary storms when the hot and cold air converge. Do you have flowers coming up?

Ceejay - sounds like you are having a great time but ready to go home to your own bed. There comes a point when you get tired of looking at restaurant menus and trying to decide what to eat.

Shad - I have to agree with the others - all you have accomplished "while recuperating" just tired me out :faint: Nothing keeps this good woman down, eh? I guess that is good that you are up and about - just don't over do it.

Susie - what a wonderful tradition you have built with your nieces - I am sure they will treasure those memories all their lives. I had a favorite aunt too - someone who makes you feel extra special - everyone should be so lucky to have one of them in their lives! I really smiled with your story of Mrs. Chaney - isn't that the pits when a kid calls you that for the first time. Or 'Mam. I know they are being polite and that's a great thing to encourage but all the same, it just sort of deflates your balloon for a minute. :^: How very cool that you got to sit in on a live set with BB King!!! I went to an Eric Clapton Crossroads concert in Chicago and BB King closed the set. He took his sweet time coming out - said he was 86 and deserved some respect. But once he got started it was magic. I think his set ran 90 minutes over the scheduled end of the concert. But seeing someone in person is just incredible. You sound like a real music aficionado. Good going on keeping your weight loss steady even with life's interruptions.

Hi Ellen.

Well I have sat here far longer than I should have. Need to get dressed and in gear so I can get everything done in time and make the noon lunch serving before they give my gyro to someone else

Have a good weekend chicks.

Laura705 05-19-2017 11:54 AM

Morning all. What a drop in temp – 80’s down to 40’s. Today’s high will be in the 50’s. It’s overcast, and we do have rain coming through today and tomorrow. These swings are pretty crazy.

Annie – Awww, cute pic of Jacob. The graduation ceremony sounded fun - how could you not end up giggling the whole time with Jacob making those faces at you, LOLOL. Shame on Chris and his parents with their treatment of you and Sam. Unfortunately, you’ll never be rid of them. But I guess at this point it’ll become a fun game for you and Sam to pour on the saccharine/kill them with kindness in response to their behavior. Oy, $50k for a divorce lawyer – that’s even worse than I would have thought!! :faint: == When does the real race stuff start up? Later next week? Hope the weather cooperates. Our annual village-wide garage sale is this weekend and today and tomorrow will be crummy, and a lot of people don’t even bother continuing their garage sale on Sunday, so it might be a bust. I, for one, will not be in and out of my car in the rain. == Re our tree, it’s perfectly heathy, just very large and I worry it’s a target for lightning strikes. But we’ve removed the 3 other large trees that were on our property and I won’t remove this one for any reason other than if it becomes a danger.

Happy – Hope you’re enjoying your dh-less time, in spite of the extra chores. As for people trying to talk you into additional volunteer work…I think I would start to get really turned off when it happens so regularly. You already do so much, and you already want to take back some of that time for yourself. Be strong girlfriend!!! == I saw some of dh’s photos on fb – wonderful. I hope he’s learning a lot and enjoying himself. And staying warm!! == Our tree does need some trimming. I’m going to take the lead on this project myself and find someone with credentials and insurance. Bf likes to just find someone doing a job in the neighborhood and get them to do a side job for less $$. Not this time. People do plant the wrong kind of trees and/or in the wrong places and it’s so sad to know they will eventually have to be removed or cause problems. I hate seeing a line of trees along a road that have all been cut to heck to allow clearance for power lines.

Having just typed that, I realize we’re in that position with our row of arborvitae (NOT PLANTED BY US!) that have grown to a height where they are now growing into the power lines that cross the back of our property. Oh, and I phoned the electric company a couple weeks ago and the rep opened a ticket for them to trim it. Since I'd responded that it wasn’t causing electrical problems, I imagined it would be a long time before anyone would come to trim those trees. So whaddaya know, someone from ComEd ended up dropping by the house the very next day and leaving a card on the door knob (did they ring the bell?? did they take a peek at the trees in back?? Or did they just leave the stupid card??). The card was basically generic and useless as far as imparting information specific to our trees – it just said they tend to do the trimming in the fall. I think I might phone them again and escalate the need to something more urgent. After all, part of one of those trees did fall over onto our fence this past winter, but it could have fallen onto one of the lines and caused a problem. Of course my timing will be bad, since I'm sure the strong winds of the past couple days is likely causing a lot of emergency tree trimming to be happening.

Okay enough of my rambling about that.

Yes, it was super hot by us and now it’s rather chilly. Yup, flowers coming up – peonies will be next to bloom. They are tough as nails, so I don’t worry about them in this chilly weather. (Everything in our yard is still there only because it’s super hardy, lol.) == Enjoy your gyro lunch!!

Ceejay, I’m wishing you safe travels home. Hellos to the rest of you, and enjoy your weekend!

==
Nothing much to report. BF must have started mowing the lawn five minutes before I got home yesterday. So much for a quite evening... I put on our wireless headphones and watched some tv – until the cable (and internet and phone) went out. Bleh. Thankfully it was back on this morning – I was worried that bf had sliced the (buried) cable with the mower.

I did the 10 min. ab workout last night and my abs feel it this morning. Bf set up the dinette set we’re going to sell on the carpet in my workout area, so I couldn’t do a workout there, but I did it in front of the tv. I think he’s already taken the photos for a craigslist ad, so maybe we can move it somewhere else now…

Tomorrow bf and I are going to my mom’s to set up her stereo and also to fix one of the closet doors bf had reinstalled. One of the thingies holding the door in the bottom track isn’t right. I have to remind bf to be prepared to tell my mom if he will or won’t replace her kitchen sink (and faucet) for her because she will certainly bring it up. He’s not sure he wants to mess with the plumbing under the sink. He’s done this before in our own places, but not for someone else and he doesn’t want to run into a situation that turns into a major mess. Don’t blame him. My mom won’t get angry if he says he doesn’t think it’s a good idea, it’ll just be a matter of finding someone competent.

I’m hoping for Sunday to be a nice weather day. I bought some planters for the window ledges rights outside the kitchen windows and I’d like to get them planted. And I’d like to get out for another bike ride as well.

That’s about it for me. Everyone have a good Friday and a good weekend.

Hello Everyone. We have a bit of rain here this morning. It looks to clear up around 10 and then come back around 4.

The weekend has been busy with weekend chores, a recital for two of my nieces, a 65th wedding anniversary celebration & hair appointment. I am looking forward to a nap after church.

DH and I did go see the movie "Snatched" with Goldie Hawn and Amy S (can't think of her last name or how to spell it). It was funny, and entertaining. We went to our local theater where tickets are $5.00 a person. You can't beat that. The seats used to be horrible but they recently upgraded them and now it is nice.

I have a 3.6 lb loss at TOPS on Thursday. So I took off the gain from the week before and more with it. I was happy about that. I am down 55.6 lbs since the day after Christmas 2016 and a total o 66.6 lbs with TOPS overall.

I have been getting a bit lazy with my workouts and have made a promise to myself that this week I will workout out Sun, M, T, W, TH and F to get back with it. I want at least 5 more lbs off by my birthday which is in 2 weeks.

I am getting ready for church and I hope to come back later tonight and do personals. Have a great day everyone!

Lo and behold it is Monday again. Good Morning/Night.....Don't know why but I dressed up really nice today. Nothing great going on here, just felt like it. I am a weirdo.

Yet another busy weekend. A ball game that we barely got in. It started raining at the toward the end of the game so they called it over. Not a big deal as they don't keep score and no one gets out. lol. Jacob got two great hits off the coach pitch. He also fielded one ball at second base, got it to first base and it was and out that they don't keep track of. :) My brother Eddie and SIL Cindy came to the game also. We all went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast afterward. A great time was had by all. Altho I had to send my plate back due to a dark black hair on the plate between my eggs and bacon. I about threw up. I have grown because before I would of been done with breakfast without eating and getting that taken off the bill. I get grossed out easily when it comes to food. Hence well done steaks if I EVER order one. The rest of the day was spent doing chores and errands.

Sunday was church. A little different as the senior HS youth group grads did the entire service. What a wonderful group of kids. They sang, did skits and read scripture from the bible that related to their life experiences. The kids were also introduced at the beginning of service by their parents who told where they were graduating from and what the kids were going pursue. Every one of them are going to college of some sort and many of them are doing studies into ministry, mission work, healthcare, and social work. I must say I was very impressed. Chris had the boys so Sam and I got to enjoy the program.

Sam and I did more errands while it rained. It cleared up by 1pm and we had a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We planted/potted more flowers in the two pots in the front porch area then I weeded the front flower garden. The marigolds are coming up volunteer, about three inches high and have several getting ready to bloom. Just saved a few buck by letting that happen. It should be a beautiful patch of yellow and orange in a short time. The peony bush has bloomed already and the rain on Saturday beat all the petals off. Only got to enjoy the blooms for about a week. It is a beautiful magenta array below the bush now. The boys got home around 4p. Sam took them to the little park area in our addition however it was a muddy mess so they came right back. Dinner was ground beef burritos for C, and a taco salad for Sam and I with no chips or shells. The boys had cheese roll ups. Sam did dishes, I collapsed in the chair with my feet up and C did his paperwork. We call his paperwork doing his homework. So C did his homework. Nothing much on the tube so I went to bed at 8:30. C was up and down with his back hurting him last night. Slowly getting better.

FINALLY, finally...down 20 lbs. That 20th lb was a tough one to get. 172!!! Yeah. 169 is the highest number in my weight/height chart, so I am thinking of getting down to 160-162. Each goal I hit I seem to be changing my goal weight, however I think this will be my last goal. Anything more and I look sick/too skinny...what?? yes tooooo skinny. bah hahaha.

SUSIE....nice job on your TOPS loss. You are looking great on FB pics snapped. Awesome really. What is your goal loss? Kudos my sister friend. Sam and I are wanting to see Snatched. Goldie Hawn and her daughter, both are favorites of ours. Amy Schumer (sp) is really funny too. I have loved Goldie since Laugh In. If you can remember that show. She was also a favorite of my dad's. Make it a great YOU week.

LAURA...we had that nasty rain too this weekend. At least the end of the day on Sunday turned out nice. I will take it. Cool air for us too. It was 47 on the way to work but oh so sunny. Deceiving. Today's high is 74. Actually a nice temp if the sun shines like promised. My rose of Sharon bush has no buds on it hoping that changes soon. I THINK it bloomed late last year but then bloomed into the fall. Thank goodness we don't have to deal with tree issues yet. Our neighborhood is fairly young therefore the trees are barely electric line high. We don't have any electric lines anyway, it is all underground. Yeah Chris and his family, I love to irritate people with kindness, a real game for me. Bring it!!

HAPPY...I am going to have a T-shirt printed up for you to wear to town that says, "NO THANK YOU!! :)" Just point to your shirt when others start speaking of volunteers needed. lol. Did DH make it home safely? He had some really great shots on FB. He is really becoming a pro! Michael's divorce from x. She would NOT agree to anything. Had to do a lot of re-do's. Plus the judge ordered them to get a counseling evaluation which was in favor of Michael. The x is a nut. She ended up with 4 different lawyers as each of them FIRED HER for being ridiculous. KETO strong..made me giggle. I have not been in Ketosis the past couple of days. Going back to the basics today to try to get myself back in ketosis. Had a couple of things with artificial sweetner and also probably too many tomatos. I don't know, just babbling.

Hello to the rest of ya's. Hope your day/night goes great!

Hugs
