I'm sure I can clone myself and teach two classes at one time, if only they gave me another keyboard for my toes, and another mouth as well.'' The impossible I can do straight up, miracles take a little longer |
Oh SHADDIE...giving you another keyboard might be ok, but another mouth...yikes. lol
I have to leave in a bit for my dermatology appt. Nothing wrong, just getting a check. Might as well take advantage of the already met deductible and out of pocket. C went to the sleep doc yesterday. He quit breathing 30+ times an hour. No wonder he is always tired. Now they want him to do another sleep study before getting him a CPAP. Not sure I agree with this. CHELLE>..any input on this? I will do personals later today after doc visit. Make it a great day/night. Hugs |
Just a quick hello from the train. My cell phone had work done on it & everything is funky now. Back later!
|
All clear from the Dermatologist! Said to come back in about two years. I am thinking in my mind, only if I have hit my deductibles and out of pocket. lol
LAURA...I know when my phone finally did the software updates from two years ago forward, EVERYTHING was ajar. Now my battery runs out faster too. CEEG...I don't normally hem while wearing clothes but didn't want to do it with them off. My co-workers would of been scared for life! Plus they were dragging too much on the ground. Better get busy, lost most of this day. Had to wait half naked in a cold room as the doc was 50 minutes late. Freezing. |
Morning all. It sure feels like it should be Friday today.
Annie – Glad you got the all-clear from the derm doc. I’d be ticked that she made me wait that long. It’s as if their time is more valuable than mine. Think again doc. Thankfully I don’t experience that very often at all. LOL, funny to picture you hemming your pants while you’re wearing them. Whatever gets the job done. Re C’s sleep study – I don’t understand how he would stop breathing that much if they did the study with him using a cpap during the study??? Maybe this second study will help identify what type of cpap will be best for him. Michelle will probably know… Good luck with all those vhs tapes. It would be nice to just get them converted onto the some media format that you know will be around for a while yet, but waiting around for that could be risky – those tapes might be disintegrating and end up unplayable. Bf and I have some of those little tapes from our old camcorder that we never transferred to anything – I’d like to get that done before they get too old or lost. We have some video from our vacation in Hawaii and from when Coal was a puppy. I think we can still watch them by hooking up the camcorder directly to the tv, but that’s not a permanent solution. Shad – A clone sure sounds like it would come in handy for you right about now! Hang in there! Ceejay – Safe travels tomorrow! It’s nice to have a day or two at home before returning to work after being away on a vacation. It helps you catch up and get back in the groove. Terra – Do you have cooking class today? What’s on the menu?? Hellos to the rest of you! -- Before bf’s friend came over last night, he backed up a bunch of stuff on my phone to our desktop’s hard drive. Later on he went to the AT&T store. Apparently my battery was swollen (bf used the word “pregnant, LOL) and was at risk of exploding!! So now I have a loaner battery and will be getting a new one (for free!) in the mail. So I shouldn’t have any further battery issues. My phone’s been updated and reformatted, etc. Hopefully I’ll quickly get used to the new operating system and whatever else changed. I notice the battery seems to be holding it's charge much better. Of course not having a faulty battery on the brink of explose sure helps! I didn’t do much last night. I did go through a pile of coupons – mostly a big stack of flyers from Bed Bath & Beyond. Tossed all the expired ones. I did a different pile yesterday morning before work – the coupons for restaurants – they really accumulate. When the stack gets too big, I just go through and toss the expired ones. Next will be the catalog pile… The boss is sort of driving me batty the last couple days – glad he’ll be out tomorrow. And tomorrow the office closes at 3:00 - whoohoo! Tonight will either be a workout at home, or going out for half-price burgers with bf and maybe his mom. Or perhaps some home-grilled burgers. Yum. That’s about it for me, so I’ll get this posted. Have a great day ladies. :) :) :) |
Geez, woke up on the wrong side of the couch if that is possible, late, and being a crab. Yelling at people in the drive thru that are not paying attention, OMG who am I. The lady in front of me paid for my coffee, she must of realized that I was in a mood. Now I feel like a total butt. I will come back later if my mood changes. Early release today for the 3 day weekend. Make it a good one all.

Laura ~ Yes I did have cooking class yesterday and we had Frito Chili Pie and Strawberries and Banana's mixed together. They also had corn but I dont like canned corn, I like corn on the cob the best.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Woke up at 6 a.m. this morning, Its now almost 8 a.m. I'm gonna work out here pretty soon. After 2 p.m. we are going shopping, I LOVE shopping!!!!!!!!! I hope we have chipotle for dinner tonight, I LOVE their burrito's. I'm gonna have Subway for lunch tomorrow while Scott and I are at the mall. We dont go to the mall often cause we always spend way too much money when we go there but its nice to go there once in awhile. What is everyone doing for the Holiday weekend? We are not doing anything special. Well I hope everyone has a great Friday. Take Care Everybody. |
Morning all. Happy Friday.
Terra - Enjoy your shopping trip. I'm not a fan of shopping - one mall not far from me is a really giant one and it's very popular and very crowded on the weekends. The only times we really go there is when we eat a meal at The Cheesecake Factory. I like Chipotle too - we usually order burrito bowls. Not calorie friendly, but very tasty! Annie - Sorry you got off to a bad start. Hope your day and your mood get better! :hug: Our "early" release is not until 3:00 pm, but that's okay - better than nothing. Hellos to everyone! Hope you all had a good week and have a great weekend. Safe travels Ceejay! Enjoy your time with your sis. ++ Nothing exciting to report. Bf and I went out for half-price burgers last night. Afterwards we went to the library. When my phone got updated, I got into a catch-22 between my e-reader app Overdrive and the My Media Mall e-library site. A library employee assisted me, but in the end, I wasn't able to access the borrowed e-book I had been reading before the update. (Instead, I ended up checking out a hard copy of it so I could finish it. Turns out I only had about 30 pages left to read. It was a Danielle Steel book and now I remember why I don't read those anymore...) The good news is that I'm all set now to borrow other e-books. I also checked out a couple dvd's. Nothing much else to report. This weekend we have no plans other than to go to a festival that we always go to every year. It's supposed to be hot this weekend, but I'd still like to try to get out in the yard early and dig out some of the stuff I don't want anymore. Hope everyone has a great weekend.;) |
HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND!! A little better mood, funny how a good salad makes me feel better! Have a marvelous weekend all.
Howdy all,
Got all the bills (at least I HOPE) for my 2 eye surgeries. $33,000. :yikes: can you believe that????? My portion of the bill is about $3500. :dizzy: I have hit my out of pocket deductible for the year so I told DH I am going to get my boobs lifted, get the one hammertoe straightened out, get some fat sucked out and get a tummy tuck and whatever surgeries I can cram into the next 3 months. :rofl: I think DH's heart ablation was less money. And you know what the biggest joke is - I have expensive private insurance that I shell out the big bucks for every month and it's costing me out of pocket $3500. If I had Medicare (government subsidized insurance for retirees) it would cost me NOTHING out of pocket. All the doctors, hospital and such would just write off the difference. I spent a good part of yesterday trying to figure out the bills versus the statements I received from the insurance and trying to correlate the two. :dizzy: Now I need new eyes :lol: It's going to be the last great weekend of weather it looks like for the month. After this rain moves in and it hits only the mid 60s during the day and the brrrr 40's at night. I salvaged a bit of misshapen cucumbers and a few tomatoes from the garden but I don't think they will be very tasty. I am going to make a peach pie today and can the rest of the South Carolina peaches I got at the farmers market this week. Hoping to meet some friends for pizza tonight, going to game night at a friend's tomorrow and I hope J will call me so we can squeeze in an ATV ride out their way before the weather shifts on Wednesday. We have not taken our UTV out at all this year and didn't use it once last year due to lots of rain and horrendous mosquitoes. This year I lost almost 2 months of potential riding with my eyes but I have been cleared so hoping to get a few rides in yet this year. I am watching fall colors for both Minnesota and Wisconsin. A few trees are starting to pop up this way - I'd say 2 more weeks and we'll be at 40 percent. ALREADY!!! Annie - glad you are feeling better after eating something. I hope you get out early today and get good weather to enjoy the weekend. Hopefully C gets his CPAP soon so you can go back to sleeping in the bed. Just make sure he TIGHTENS his face mask :lol: LOL about hemming the pants at work - I have used scotch tape, staples, those little black clippy things and masking tape in a pinch. Then I brought a sewing kit to work because I was constantly ripping the hem of my pants out with the high heel on my shoe. You brought back some funny memories. :lol: Glad everything checked out on the dermatologist but I HATE when the office is so cold and all you have is that stupid gown. AND them make you wait. :mad: Laura - that's nice that you can read the ebooks off your phone. Less stuff to carry on the commute bag. So glad they caught your phone before the battery exploded and wreaked a big mess all over everything and possibly killed your phone. Shad - how much longer left on this contract? You must be tired as can be... :hug: Ceejay - I hope you have safe travels and a good visit with your sister. Hello to the other worldlies :wave: Half the day is done and I am still at the computer. Picked out 2 cookies recipes to take to our friend's tomorrow. Made 2 phone calls. Now I have to get some baking done before I shower up for pizza tonight. Yum, looking forward to that. We were going to get some last week but opted to try their fish fry. Should have stuck with the pizza. Anyway - have a good long weekend for those stateside. Enjoy YOUR holiday - Labor Day. |
3 weeks and 3 days and counting
|
Hello Everyone. The week was busy and flew by. They haven't taken a look at reducing my work yet. I'm writing down everything I do in 1 hour blocks of time. They thought that was a great idea and asked me to give it to them in 4-6 weeks and then we could talk about where to possibly reduce my work schedule.
The OT is nice right now as far as money is concerned. I have the bill from the car maintenance and 4 new tires coming due in a couple of weeks an the OT will take care of it. We are not doing much this holiday weekend. Sticking close to home and relaxing. I have 2 more episodes of "Revenge" to watch and then those are done as the show ended this year and won't be coming back. I am finishing a good book. It's fiction "The Girls of Mischief Bay". I think I will finish it today. I truly feel relaxed when I read for pleasure. Tomorrow we are meeting a friend for a movie and lunch out. Ceejay: I saw your question as to if my father-in-law had both of his eyelids done at the same time and yes he did. I hope you are enjoying your trip. Laura: I'm so glad that the lost dog owners were found! Good for you for getting the building cooled down. When there is a smog alert in the city or buildings turn off lights in the hallways and reduce the air. I used my desk fan a lot last week as well as my flashlight app on my phone when I was in the halls. I have seen people walk into each other as they are so dark. Happy: You are so right that if you had Medicare your eye surgeries would have been paid for and not cost your a dime! How is your vision coming along? Annie: When is the wedding date? It sounds like things are planned and now just waiting for the event. About hemming your pants at work...I have never done that, but I had a hem come out once and so I went to the rest room , with my tape dispenser in hand, put myself in the handicap stall, took off my pants and use the tape as a temporary fix for the hem. It did get my through the day. Terra: How was your shopping trip at the Mall? Hi to Michelle, Dee and Shad! I figured out how to close the August thread! |
Hi ladies,
Sorry I've been away. Work has been REALLY busy and really stressful. And what's worse is my code blew up on Friday, and although I was able to restore it, I lost 2-3 days worth of work. I am going to try and work this weekend to get caught up. :( Also, I've been going through a blue funk. This time of year is the anniversary of my marriage ending...well, I guess it ended long before that, but I didn't realize it until late August 2012. With my birthday coming up, and knowing that 3 years ago he was spending my birthday with his girlfriend in CA....well, it makes me sad. The fault for the relationship ending was not only his as I had emotionally walled myself off when my parents passed away, many years before he rekindled things with his ex-girlfriend. Anyway, this blue funk will pass. I'm doing my best to not comfort myself with food though I have gained some weight the past couple days. I'm also not in the mood to run or even walk...though my friend from WLS support group is going to walk with me this afternoon. Annie - Thank you for the adorable birthday card! I love you my sister friend. It was so great to talk with you on Friday. I do hope you can come visit me in CA in September 2016. I'll take you to San Francisco (Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge and other fun points in the City), the ocean, and the redwoods and depending on how many days you'll be here, maybe the Sierra Nevada mountains and Yosemite National Park. Just thinking about your visit is brightening my mood. I wish I had more time for personals....I want to get some cleaning done before walking with my friend. Love and hugs, |
Afternoon
This is the first chance I have had to get online. It's been busy. We went shopping on Friday and came to Ash Grove on Saturday. Church this morning and a nap this afternoon. My sister has been keeping me on track calorie wise. ----- Michelle I understand about that "blue funk". Think I've been in one for a while. But mine has lifted and so will yours. Annie Don't feel bad if someone buys your coffee. That seems to be a growing trend. |
Hello all. Quick check in. C is in bed. He has to work tomorrow. Busy weekend. Ds spent the night Friday. He went with me sat morning to get a pedi. He got a pedi too but he wouldn't let them paint them lol. We then did a bunch of errands and had lunch at Olive Garden. Today was church and lunch with my Hunny. Tomorrow sis is coming over to try on her wedding dress one more time and then color my hair. Bout all I can stand posting from phone. Hugs All
